Lots of rumors circulating on this new Aussie Show.
Since the pool of applicants may be the same/similar, am going to start this in the TAR Australia thread for now...we can move it later if that seems best.
Let's use this for pre-show speculation/spoilers.
BUT NO CONTESTANT IS TO BE ID'd UNTIL THE SHOW STARTS, and NO LOCATION SPOILERS before the start either.

Rumour: The Big Adventure

2013-09-30_2104TV Tonight hears whispers that Seven is casting for a new Reality series The Big Adventure.
Applicants who have previously applied for The Amazing Race Australia have been invited to apply for ”Adventure, Competition and Travel” as well as a “Big Cash Prize.”
But this time the show will draw upon individual contestants rather than pairs.
Applications ask such questions as “three words to describe yourself, how would your friends describe you, weaknesses, strengths, why would you like to be on TV, what is weird about you” and “how do you blow off steam?”
They also asked for a link to their Facebook, a scan of their passport, and a current photo.
It’s not clear whether the show is produced by Seven or another production company, but activeTV which produced The Amazing Race Australia, is understood not to be involved.
Applications hosted privately by mycastingnet.com close in November.

We don't have anything much but I assume 7 will air this show as the 7:30 anchor for the night in October/November.

Well this show starts tonight and unlike what we have assumed it is not much of a TAR rip-off and much more of a Survivor rip-off. I watched an interview on the website and the host described as "12 regular people competing on an island for 1 millon dollars".
Anyone watching?
Side note: Between this and Ch 10's Australian I'm a (has been) Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here! I wouldn't be surprised if (and would politely ask for) Ch 9 does a Australian Survivor.

I see the promos from TAR AUS FB but don't know where to watch it. And Yeah, it look more like Survivor than TAR

This show flopped way back in 2014!
It was a Survivor rip-off!
And the finale aired on the day Phillip Hughes died and like no-one was watching this, they were watching the news coverage of his tragic death. :(
I did enjoy this show however! But, the ratings were NEVER good enough for Season Two...
