The field (Detour) task might be at the Rancabali Tea Plantation in Ciwidey, a mountain town 19 miles/ 32 kilometers from Bandung. The fact that teams go to the Volcano suggests that they venture into the mountains near Bandung, which makes this plausible.
The makeup challenge could also (pure spec) be in the Plantation, but inside the main building.
Could the Tea Leaves be the fast forward? That looks real hard and something a fast forward would be.
The makeup challenge looks like for Javanese wedding. Compare with this:

Yeah, that's what made me confused too. :P I thought it's for wedding because the ornament that looks like extra hair that they attached on their forehead. :PThe makeup challenge looks like for Javanese wedding. Compare with this:
they are in Bandung, so it's Sundanese not Javanese. Do you think it's wedding Kamineko? coz i never saw a man wearing "konde" in his head :funny:
i think they dressed like Jaipong dancers

And damn! Jason looks fabulous compared to Amy. :funny:
i think the eating cobras thing is a roadblock and it was AFTER the whole makeup thingy
marie seems to still have some leftover blush-on on her face on the preview ...
if they actually have to eat cobra... what in the world was that!!!! :gaah:
Could the Tea Leaves be the fast forward? That looks real hard and something a fast forward would be.
I don't think it would be a fast forward. A leg with a fast forward is always an elimination leg, right? and this leg is clearly a non elimination. I think it's one side of the detour, and the other side is the one with the makeups. Leo and Jamal are definitely not putting makeup on each other
:funny:
Phil had me at "Marie meets her match", and then cobras pop up
:funny: :funny: :funny: :funny: :funny: :funny: :funny:
Looking forward to this leg :)
I'd be surprised if eating the cobras was a Roadblock or a FF, EVERYONE is doing it  :barfI used to eat snake, not cobra but it's really good. :D

Actually I hoped for they dressed-up completely, not just the make-up. Although I can't imagine for Leo & Jamal doing that. :funny:Yeah, that's what made me confused too. :P I thought it's for wedding because the ornament that looks like extra hair that they attached on their forehead. :PThe makeup challenge looks like for Javanese wedding. I still think it was indeed a local traditional wedding make up guys, just with both team members have to replicate the woman make up only, not the man, because the man didn't required much makeovers, instead, some men even go shirtless on their wedding reception
Jason for Queen of Drag Queens tbh <3THIS!
Season 20 had a Fast-Forward on a non-e leg...
This is when I'm glad I'm not racing xD
Fast Forward this late in the race don't make sense to me, and don't remember ever having one at this point, but I don't have the best memory so...
Seems that Leo & Jamal will got NELed? :yess:
This leg's cobra eating challenge could be like the roadblock in The Amazing Race Norge 1, when teams visited Vietnam in leg 5. They had to choose a cobra snake, and then they had to prepare and consume snake wine with the blood and bile. They also had to eat the cobra itself, which can be what the contestants need to do here. :)
Wow the tasks look exciting! You know what, I think it's been a long time since I find this kind of crazy food challenge in TAR again, the memory of TAR5 ostrich egg and cavier are coming back!!
But I am a bit lost with the new preview, so it suggests that the cobra eating is basically an active route marker as I saw all team members are eating it? But with the coverage of Tim/Marie discussing RB strategy this leg, it seems quite ironic and makes good TV if Marie turns out she has to do this RB about eating cobra! Could it still be a RB but the non-RBer has to eat other things/parts instead of the cobra itself?
Also, from the preview, we can see Jason/Amy and Leo/Jamal are together at same time, are Nicole/Travis also there at the same time? It's not very clear from the preview, but it seems quite possible that Tim/Marie are not with any of them in the shots?
and probably Timarie all alone mean they got a bit lost getting there
and probably Timarie all alone mean they got a bit lost getting there
Or that they are first...right?
Because Tim & Marie are in front, only a few minutes behind the Afghanimals, I think that they're in first.and probably Timarie all alone mean they got a bit lost getting there
Or that they are first...right?
What I meant is that if they are alone, it's not probable to be so ahead of the other teams to not even see them at that task. :duno: That's why I spec the other three teams got there more or less together, and T/M did in last, but could be wrong, obviously. Maybe this is not the first task of the leg, who knows.
^ If you see the caps Tim is also freshly shaved in the detour in comparison with the compra eating, while the afghanimals are not shaved in their pitstop interview. So maybe they went first to the make-up and then changed to the tea because they didn't want to shave or put the make-up.

We'll see. If there wasn't one earlier, I would think this is a definite KOR leg. Sure as heck beats a NEL a week before the finale
I think it is a KOR-leg :conf: :conf: :conf: :conf:
I think it is a KOR-leg :conf: :conf: :conf: :conf:
Could you please explain what KOR stands for? I know what NEL and TBC stand for, but not KOR.
KOR = Keep on race, same as TBC

Except that in a KOR leg, the first team gets a prize, there is a greeter, Phil talks with you, but instead of being eliminated or given a speed bump, the last team gets to run off and keep racing.

KOR really sounds confusing. I had to figure it out by myself the 1st time. Even guests or newbies get confused with KOR. According to some, KOR could mean Korea, etc... Which is why I use TBC instead of KOR. :)

Except a TBC is not a KOR. They do have the same basic effect though.
A Keep on Racing leg is a normal leg. Teams are checked in 1, 2, 3.....etc. Prize is awarded for first place. Then a team/s are told to keep on racing, ie, it is a zero hour pit stop. In a TBC, the same leg is just continued...A KOR has two separate legs.
I do realize there is a subtle difference. Maybe a better definition is that a TBC is just a very long leg with a midpoint that Phil hands out a clue. A KOR is two separate legs without a pit stop between them or a zero hour pit stop. A good example of a KOR is Leg 1/2 or TAR 18, which you can find on YouTube if you want to see it.

And the example for TBC is in TAR 21 when James and Abba lost their bags In Russia.
Last time there was a NEL in F3 was season 4, IIRC. So, we should not take that. I see F4 running in Japan, where the last one is eliminated, and they head back to US for the final leg. It was quite a big shock for everybody to not have that NEL last leg, so it would be a major shock if it is not also this coming leg.

I think Jamy are supposed to make the Final 3, so they'll be okay. Besides, it apprently is the M/M teams who seem to be the victims of the first-to-last curse and Jamy are M/F.
Btw Bandung leg #2 gained 10,29 million viewers, the highest since season 20.
I don't know if it's been stated yet but Marie was forced to do the RB this leg
