Respect gained for the bunnies! Liking them more and more each episode!
I still think the Margie & Luke and Kisha & Jen had a more catty Pit Stop fight. I remember when the two greeters were eating lunch during that fight like watching a movie.
So...were Jason & Amy completely unaware that Marie is a cut-throat bitch? How?
German is the main language in Austria, JSYK. ;)
And this leg has recycled a few places visited by TAR 4 before... so it's really, just meh.
The pit-stop is the location of the Fast Forward in Amazing Race 4 LEG 3, where Steve and Josh are required to search the grounds of Schönbrunn Palace for a ballroom wearing formal attire, then carry a tray of champagne filled glasses through waltzing couples. (and did they just use waltzing couples for the Detour?)
The fast forward here, is the Roadblock of Amazing Race 4 LEG 3, where one team member had to bungee jump 460 feet (140 m) off the Donauturm.

I don't care that they used some old tasks as long as it still brings many great moment. And I love Singing test. I don't why many said that's unfair task. You can see Tim was still bad in the end but he got the melody, pitch, notes and lyrics. That's enough to get the clue.
The task was unfair enough for Tim to fall all the way back in last place before he finally got the clue, duh.
I mean, his voice really suck. But some people are naturally tone deaf/can't sing and that's why it's unfair? What if you have two tone deaf people in a team and your favourite team gets eliminated... just because they can't sing. Lame, no?

That's why It is a Roadblock where you need to choose only one people to do that. Why did not Danny do that if Tim was terrible with singing? I think with the clue Choir boy in heart, they definitely could think the task related to the choir, singing...

What makes you think Danny is better at singing?

So what makes you think Danny is not better at singing? I don't think about unfair game, I think about how they choose the person to do it. Maybe if Kim, Marie, Nicole, Jason, Leo or Ashley did the perform, they could be bad as Tim, too.

Well, you are the one who wrote a post saying that "Why did not Danny do that if Tim was terrible with singing?" so I'm asking you. :funny: Because it was obviously a singing task and the clue of the Roadblock was pretty much straight forward, so Danny would have done it if he's more confident, right?
I wonder if there wasn't an hours of operations at the opera house in Vienna. I would have expected teams to be separated a bit by the taxi ride from the station. But in the telecast we see somebody (not a racer) open the door and all teams rush in at the same time.

On the mask task -- when the mask roadblock came up in Venice in season 4, it was regarded as the most difficult roadblock ever to that point. (And all the teams struggled with it). This version as a detour task seemed to combine to waltz dancing fast forward in the sense that the Racers had to work around the dancers to find the right masks, and the masks themselves were far more difficult and thus harder to match up. I don't think it was an easy task at all. The chandelier one probably wasn't chosen because the teams probably reasoned that it would be difficult to complete because of the requirement that teams would have to start over if any chandelier wasn't assembled correctly or fell to the ground before completing the attempt.
For the same reason I felt the singing task wasn't any less difficult than the piano tasks that had been done with a couple of variations in past seasons, or the other singing tasks that have shown up in different seasons as well.
I'm not sure that knowing a romance language (Italian, French, Spanish, Portuguese) would have been as helpful because German is used in opera and there are no soft sounds in German as they are in the Romance languages whether spoken or sung. When I was in a chorus in junior and senior high school years ago we did have to learn and perform a few songs that were in German, and for most people it was harder. But it helps to have studied German at the time, and so I could evaluate that task with experience. I'm not surprised some teams had more trouble with that task than others, and people who couldn't sing, and who weren't familiar with languages other than English could expect problems, especially with certain US dialects.
