Hate hate hate the 4 chair challenge. Super cruel. Obviously someone thought this twist would bring better ratings... :res:
Kelly's category is super strong. I think Demi should have kept Ashly over Rion, but her category's okay. Paulina's boys are meh. Not that memorable... except Josh Levi is super good. I think Simon will do well with Restless Road and Alex & Sierra.
By the way, what was up with the audio for the boys and groups? IT WAS SO BAD.

I think those who went up as the first few in the four chair challenge gets a mega disadvantage. In my opinion, if they wanna do a four chair challenge, at least include the audience (live audience) votes (in other countries it has been done) or at least, all the judges have a say who goes or stay as each of the group's final 4.
I like Demi's group, Paulina's boys are bound to fail. The over 25s <3, and Simon's groups are as boring.

Demi's Rion Paige: Skyscrapper
Personally I liked the performance and thought it was flawless. However, there's some part of her that seemed so arrogant and she needs to be a little more humble and less aggressive with the way that she reacts to stuff. America can see and tell, and people like to root for people who knows there are not perfect but wants to keep trying, just look at how Dami won X Factor Australia by just completely being humble even though she knows she's good.
I really hope she changes just a little in her attitude, if not it's a little turn off for me to watch her.

Demi's Ellona Santiago: Till The World Ends
Oh my God. So good. It's like she's at her own concert performance already! She felt so comfortable and she's really here to win it as what Simon put it. I think if she continues to perform to her best and have the correct song choices, she may go a long way.
And can I say, it seems like Demi's improved in her judging already! :<3

A mediocre to good performance, but really boring at some point. Most commercial voice, but yet lack the likeability! The judges were completely spot on for the four girls, what did they do since last season... judges training? :funny:

Kelly's Jeff Gutt: Try
A really good performance where he made it his own and it was down to earth, raw (as what Simon said) and really good song choice. I think he has a really commercial and distinct voice.
I think he's here to stay!

Kelly's James Kenney: Red
Wow. Another great performance. Good song choice, down to earth, all American and highlighted/showcased his voice (which is clear and pure).
However, I really feel that Kelly's group of over 25s lack exposure and they either need more screen-time or more recognition of their talent.

Kelly's Lillie McCloud: When A Man Loves A Woman
She... sings... GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD. Oh my God. Such a sexy husky voice and filled with emotions!
Sucks to be in Kelly's position. Lillie's vocals KILLS, however... she's obviously not appealing to the younger audience and she might be in trouble when she comes to the live shows. I completely agree with Simon, she needs to lose the theateric and what Simon meant was, she needs to be CURRENT.
Even if she goes through, I really doubt she can win the competition because after awhile, the judges are going to say she's performing the same week after week blah blah blah.
Let's just put it this way, she doesn't have The X Factor. :( (for now)

Kelly's Rachel Potter : I Hope You Dance
So good. Current. Pure. It was as if she was at her own concert as well. I get a Celine Dion feel from her (don't sing as good of course), but she has a really commercial voice and a beautiful tone.

I think Lily might be in trouble just because this is not just a singing competition, but a popularity contest as well. But who knows!

I think this was a decent performance. Unique of his own, he put his own twist to it and Simon's right.. once we go to the live shows, even if he sucks he's still going to cruise through to maybe T8 to T6 because a lot of girls (and boys) are going to like and root for him. -_-

Seriously. Paulina is the new Britney/Demi this year. She's awkward as a judge and half the time she doesn't know what she's saying (I agree with Simon, I agree with Demi... I agree)... If I need to hear a repeat of another judge's comments I would have rewind!!!
This is the first time I don't agree with Simon or Demi. I think he has room for improvement and seriously, are they going to market some boyband singer out from the Boy's group? Just because Tim sang a different style of song from the other 3 boys doesn't mean he brings the excitement level down??

Kelly's Jeff Gutt: A really honest, mesmerizing rendition of the song. Definitely one of my top 3 of the night. I had chills down my spine just by listening to him.
Especially when he went to the chorus, it felt like we were at his own concert performance. He wasn't even pitchy and I think we have a Dami Im in the making!

I think Carlito is awful... I don't think he's given 1 good performance yet, including his audition. Sweet Suspense sucks. Carlos hasn't done a good performance in a long time... Rion's overrated. So much yuck.
I think Ellona was the best on both nights. Josh Levi was really good on the second night. Alex & Sierra are good, but I have to be in a certain mood to listen to them. :lol:

Kelly's Lillie McCloud: I've got to say, she's going to have her own fair share of the adult audience and fan base, but she needs to grab them fast before they go to the other contestants. If Tate Stevens can win last season, Lillie can as well. So she just really needs to pick the right songs, with the right vocals... she can go far. The song choice was old and out-dated, but vocally it was amazing and she out-sang the song I feel. lol

Simon's Sweet Suspense: I thought it was a down to earth and heart-felt performance. I actually liked it. They made the best out of a really mediocre song, which showcased their voices. But towards the end, I guess their harmonizing should be better.

Simon's Restless Road: I actually thought this was their best performance yet. I have to say their harmonizing is really soothing and nice on the ears, but when they go into their solos, the flaws in the voices just show. I suggest when one person is doing his solo, the other two does back-up harmonizing to cover the flaw in the voice.. otherwise, the performances just seemed mediocre week after week during the solos and only pick up during the chorus when they all harmonize. :(

I'm gonna make a huge prediction that Paulina and Kelly's contestants will be exterminated quick until Jeff (Kelly) and Josh (Paulina) are the last two remaining. Khaya may need to break out of being sub-standard as compared to Ellona if she wants to go further in the competition.

The future of The X Factor USA appears uncertain after its ratings dropped to a new low – and even Nicole Scherzinger made her feelings about the show clear.
While Simon Cowell had predicted big things for the American equivalent of ITV’s Saturday night staple, just 3.6m viewers are reported to have tuned in to the most recent edition of the show, currently in its third series.
And speculation is rife that the show will not return for a fourth run, with some reports even suggesting it could be axed ‘within days’.
Meanwhile X Factor UK judge Nicole Scherzinger has expressed concerns to Cowell – telling the mogul that he needs to focus more on his efforts across the Atlantic.
‘Simon, honey, you need to worry about those ratings in the US!’ she pointed out. ‘Our show is way better than the American one.’
Cowell – who is the only male panellist alongside Paulina Rubio, Kelly Rowland and Demi Lovato – had reportedly been aiming to attract 20m viewers to the series when it first began, although ratings topped out at around the 12m mark.
By contrast The Voice USA – currently in its fifth series – pulled in an audience of 10.2m for its most recent edition last week.
The X Factor USA also fell victim to an unfortunate voting glitch during last week’s live show which resulted in all 13 finalists having to perform again the following night in a bid to win votes.
Speculation over the show’s future may also further fuel rumours that Cowell is set to return to the panel of The X Factor UK in 2014, following Gary Barlow’s recent announcement that he would be leaving at the end of the current series.

Wrong song choice. The range is just wrong and it was a song bigger than his vocals. This was his weakest performance so far on the show and he has to pick himself up!

I felt like most acts were mediocre again. Comparing the talent with The Voice, I can see why the ratings are failing. It's disappointing.
I think Tim and Carlito are in trouble. I actually thought Tim's vocal was good, but bad comments are going to influence people. Never have been a fan of Carlito, and all the bad comments won't help him either.

Definitely one of the best performance of the night. I think the staging is definitely sensational and REALLY REALLY fun. He was a great dancer, the vocals were alright.. I think he will be safe for the night.

With all the performers GIVING THEIR BEST this week.. I think it's over for two more girls. Oh my God, can they scrape Motown Week FOREVER? Last week everybody sucked and this week everybody's SENSATIONAL!
I hope Khaya stays but I don't normally support guys because I think they are overrated, but I gotta say Tim was REALLY GOOD this week and Carlito... he's got the X Factor and he just needs to work out a really good song choice PLUS good dancing. I think he will be back next week!
Heck, I think Jeff may even be overshadowed by everyone else who's so good.. that if he's in the bottom three, I won't be shocked.

After watching all of the performances, my standout act of the night was Khaya! Stunning performance. Also Tim!
My bottom 3 would have to be, definitely Josh Levi & Restless Road, with the third spot being filled between Jeff/Ellona.
Prediction: Lillie to go straight out, with Restless Road and Jeff/Khaya in the bottom 2, Josh being saved by have previously stunning performances.
I would be sending RR out straight, because the tried to 'countrify?' a song that cannot be changed, and their vocals were poor as were their harmonies.

I thought Alex & Sierra and Lillie were the best last night.
I think Tim has a great voice, but he's kind of boring... Khaya's voice still annoys me because it sounds like she's choking and out of breath but she's still trying to force a few notes. I get that it's supposed to be a singing style or whatever, but it just annoys me to death. Once she got to the belty parts, I really enjoyed it.
Didn't like Carlito. Didn't like Restless Road. Didn't like Josh. Didn't like Ellona. Didn't like Rion. Jeff was meh.
I wish the contestants would focus more on their vocals. There's so much staging and dancing and stuff going on, but I don't think the singing is as good as it could or should be. I know that it isn't called The Voice, but still.

Khaya has no fan base at all.. let's just say she's just on the wrong season. With the other two girls, one being part Pinoy and one having disability.. both of them are naturally gonna have loads of people rooting for them.
And it sucks for Khaya that EVERYONE performed better than mediocre last night. Go look at the Youtube likes and everyone has like more likes than dislikes.
Wow, Tim went home after what I feel was one of his best performance. I really thought he was GOOD last night.. but I guess without the X Factor you really can't go far.

I actually like Tim because he's singing all the old classic songs and although he's not the best singer.. he does sing decent.
If he loses some weight (not being biased against weight issues or anything please), but he's young.. so he needs to go and work for his audience market, which is crazy young girls who loves a singer who sings all these classic WELL. And for that he needs to have an image.. and X Factor, which he lacks now. :(:(

My F6 prediction for now: Ellona, Rion, Restless Road, Alex and Sierra, Josh, Jeff
I'm still sticking with this F6 and think that Carlito and Lillie will be the next two acts gone. But if they continue to give Ellona weird critics, Ellona might be in trouble.
I'm pretty sure Alex and Sierra, Rion and Restless Road is here to stay though.

In general, I thought the performances this week were so much better. Josh, Ellona, Alex & Sierra and Jeff all gave amazing performances. I was afraid for Jeff because singing Feeling Good is death after Carly Rose Sonenclar performed it last season. :funny:
Josh and Ellona are well-rounded performers. I really enjoyed Josh's staging and dancing, and he backed it up with nice vocals too.
Based on the performances, I think Carlito, Lillie and Rion are in trouble... Except Rion will probably be safe... :res:

Alex & Sierra definitely owned the night. Simon picked 2 great songs, especially Say Something. That was a great move by him (assuming he did pick the song).
I'm hoping Rion and Carlito will go home. Then again, I've been waiting for that to happen since the beginning and it hasn't happened yet. :cmas11

Both sing-off performances were weak. I wanted Rion and Carlito gone, but I wanted Carlito gone over Rion. Boooo.
I think this pretty much seals an Alex & Sierra win. I thought that it would be between Ellona and Alex & Sierra, but with Ellona gone and Alex & Sierra doing so well, I don't think anyone will stand a chance.

I think it's Alex & Sierra vs. Jeff for the win. Regardless of if Alex & Sierra win or not, they're probably going to be successful because I think Simon will sign them. :cmaslol Jeff got amazing comments this past week, so it'll be an interesting finale next week.

I've been following the season (but it seems too quick!) and I'm pretty impressed with the Final 6 (5 spot on, except for Carlito).
I think the judges are biased towards Carlito and he should have been gone pretty early in this competition but is saved again and again by Simon especially.
It's between Jeff and Alex and Sierra definitely, and I'm just so glad that Restless Road is gone. They are so mediocre... Alex and Sierra on the other hand is class act. I will buy their album definitely any day! :kisses

I honestly thought that Alex and Sierra has the best shot at winning, followed by Jeff Gutt going into the finale.
But with A&S repeating 2 songs they have sung and having a pretty unimpressive duet performance.. compared to Jeff's hat trick of three performance... I think Jeff might just take home the win tomorrow.
Either way, I don't mind any of the 2 of them winning.. they both will have great careers ahead!

I think Alex & Sierra should win judging by their popularity. If Jeff fans vote like crazy, he can pull off a win. Carlito? No way. :cmaslol I wasn't a fan of his voice at the beginning, and I'm still not. There's a smoothness that's missing for me. :cmaslol

Not a Carlito fan but he's VERY likable and has the X Factor. He's very memorable and has a really decent voice. With the right songs and image, he might go really far. I don't see that for Rion or Ellona and I think that's why they went home.
Restless Road, should also go for songs that showcase more of their harmonizing because their harmonizing is unbeatable. But vocally, they cannot hold on to it on their own and it's kinda sad.

Wait, just realized Carlito also performed two songs which he had previously done (Stand by me and Maria Maria)...
So that makes Jeff the only one who didn't do so.. but that also warrants why Alex and Sierra are able to do two songs which they have already done before and maybe that wouldn't be much of a problem with the general American public.
Alex and Sierra has LOADS of fans. But we all thought Carly Rose was gonna win last season and somehow Tate Stevens managed to pull in invisible votes from god knows where...
Either way, I hope all three of them get signed by record company!

I'm just glad a likable winner won. <3 From the beginning my favourites were A&S for the groups, Ellona for the girls, none for the boys and Jeff for the Over 25s. Am glad that 2 of my favourites came in 1st and 2nd! :)
