After a recent lack of female talent, this season looks very nice :colors :lol3:
The last time we had 5 all-male teams was in Season 4...
Starting EVERY season in Los Angeles, California. Why in the world is this necessary? Is it really that hard to go a few hundred miles to another (and may I say, likely better) location to begin the Race? Certainly a change of both start AND end cities would cut down on spoilers (which may seem "bad" for us, but would benefit the secrecy of the show tremendously). Also, the rest of the United States really needs a chance to shine, especially more rural places that aren't exclusively on the coastlines.Speech! :hoot:
(Before anyone mentions the Family Edition, I will state that that doesn't count.)

"The Amazing Pace": At 5 days per country we will not be seeing more than five countries!!! :tantrum
Where in the world are they?? I'm curious to know if the females survived the first to legs
Where in the world are they?? I'm curious to know if the females survived the first to legs
I don't like when teams are cast, or not cast, on the basis of their gender make-up. To me it is not a relevant factor. As many pointed out during the last season (TAR 22) no so-called alpha-male team had won since TAR 10; although male same-gender teams did win some seasons, they had flaws (and I would suspect were probably cast to throw those flaws into the mix. And there were several seasons where strong male teams did not make to the finish mat first, although they made final four.
Female same-gender teams likewise were cast, and won some of those seasons between TAR 10 and 22, and some of them missed opportunities to win because of their mistakes that had nothing to do with their perceived physical strength or lack thereof.
So I admit I get irritated by talk about there being too many or too few same gender teams in a particular season. TPTB seem to have found their sweet spot in casting teams that aren't totally perfect and giving them all chances to succeed or fail on their own choices and decisions. That's why you won't be hearing me complain ever about the superficial categorization of teams by their gender make-up.
But remember, in some of the past seasons, one of the first teams on the first flight can also be the first team eliminated. (ex: Bilal & Sa'eed, Ari & Staella, Preston & Jennifer ??? , Ron & Tony, etc.)Where in the world are they?? I'm curious to know if the females survived the first to legs
They're probably in a rural area without a lot of technology, like rural Peru or rural Bolivia.
Incidentally, the two F/F teams were on the first flight to Chile, so I'm pretty sure they survived the first leg.
Just hope they'll finally visit nepal ..
Elephant polo please! :hearts: I would love for them to visit Qatar and then to Nepal, then maybe a Tibet, China leg or two by bus would be awesome!Just hope they'll finally visit nepal ..
oh me too!!

The Race back in Vienna again! I usually jog through Schönbrunn twice per week, somehow I took a different route today and now I'm stuck at work. Not Fair (:;)
Brunettes made it to Leg 6!!
Hoping for a Mozart or Beethoven switchback. Or the champagne glass FFMozart switchback would be fun, to quote Don Giovanni: "Ha, ha, ha, ha, ... no."

Aw, I just wish Team Duck Dynasty or the older married couple didn't get eliminated so early. Maybe one of those teams will pop up again, but for now that's what it looks like... :(
Were either of them identified? :( :gaah:
Is Team Duck Dynasty the beards?
I think BelleBook and I get excited the most when the F/F teams survive a leg :lol3:

INDOnesia again!!!!!! 3 times in a row!!!!! but may be fake rumor
But it's on Java... There are other islands in Indonesia you know TPTB.
WHY Indonesia again?
WRP realized they missed out on a great country for 18 seasons and are now over using it.

Cheap labor for local crew could be one of the factors...
I am really wondering if this could not be a last minute substitution. Conditions in Malaysia etc are not good for a leg right now.

Indonesia again :res: :res: :res: :res:
Indonesia is a big hop from Austria via Doha, but while I understand why it may seem to be too much to some, (as India was in those early seasons, along with China) to the average viewer of TAR in the US it is not as big a concern since it's a country most Americans are just plainly unfamiliar with....
BUNDUNG! BEACH LEG I GUESS! <3
OMG THEY MIGHT TRANSIT AT SINGAPORE IF THEY MOVE UP NORTH. #PRAYS
BUNDUNG! BEACH LEG I GUESS! <3Maybe you mean Bandung, Jobby. :)
Geez. Do none of y'all have a sense of humour?? :lol3:
Oh... my... gosh, Indonesia again? :wtf: That's like going to India five seasons in a row to me. At least take teams to the Philippines for heck's sake. They haven't went there for almost 15+ seasons! :tantrum :tantrum :tantrum I'm done with Indonesia and I never want to see it on the race again if they visit it this season as well. All the seasons that have featured Indonesia as a leg sucked in the end product (TAR19, TAR21, TAR22). I don't want that to be a curse like the 3rd leg curse people are talking about. For now it's... "Frequent flying to Indonesia, frequent failures in execution."

I know, but Indonesia has been visited even more frequently than China or India now in post-UB which makes me overdramatize stuff since unvisited or long-time raced countries need a starring too. I liked it when Indonesia was visited in TAR19, not an incredibly strong leg, but really grateful they visited it, but now it's like they are vomiting routes for Indonesia that don't even focus correctly like TAR21. I don't even remember what the teams did in Surabaya or Bangil except for the padang plate balance RB.Oh... my... gosh, Indonesia again? :wtf: That's like going to India five seasons in a row to me. Whatever, but we are having fun here...
They did cooking on heads, lion things, bull racing and pumping up balloons #ProudOfMyselfThe detour was between sorting fish and delivering ice. #ProudOfMyself
Don't remember the second leg Detour though.
And to be honest I never knew there's a town named Bangil near here if it wasn't for TAR and I've lived here ever since I was born
i feel like i'm supposed to be glad because they finally visited my city, but it just seemed so wrong. season 19 visit to yogyakarta and borobudur were not great legs, season 21 visithas even worse legs than 19, season 22 was fair enough but not that great either. i just hope that this indonesian leg doesn't bore viewers like the previous three seasons, which could make you dislike amazing race and indonesia :gaah: :tantrum i also have no idea why they keep coming. they could've been to india. hopefully, the next leg after this will be in philippines
PS: If it's true, all except one male-male teams crashed and burned this season. :oh :stareThat might be the same case as previous season. Although this time, I like the remaining M/M team (I'm kinda rooting for them), not like the previous one. :)

don't get me wrong man, i have been waiting for this moment for 2 years but i concern about what viewers think( gue rada sakit hati ngeliat orang luar ngomong " indonesia lagi-indonesia lagi" kan kelihatan banget bosen sama indo) i just wanted one season break for indonesia. please don't make me feel guilty, i love everytime amazing race visited my country :hug?:

Well, I appreciate your opinion and I'm agree with your reason. But I just want to inform you thattolong pake bahasa Inggris di sini, ntar kesannya kita ngomongin yg jelek2please use English, don't make other readers think that we talk about something bad to them. ;) ;) ;)
I am quite content with the 5 remaining teams
Although I am a bit sad that the Blue M/M didn't make it this far (pre-show favorite)
And hey, only one M/M appears to have made it far, so now people don't have to whine about too many M/M teams anymore
And really...with names, logos, home towns we should be able to find these teams...right? RIGHT? :funny:
Seiously. But it's kind of hard when their are hundreds of Tim and Marie's living in Morristown, none of the guys on the SD State rosters seem to match, and a search for the Afghanimals comes up with nothing relevant.
People who always root for the F/F teams, let's gather into a prayer circle that this leg is a NELor that someone else had a penalty.

Probably this season could end up like TAR 18, wherein 4 of the 5 TAR 14 teams were the 1st 4 booted out and the last survivor would end up as winner. :res:
the dectives are very great and dedicated. they should be given an award immediately :hearts: i hope that this Bandung leg is a NEL leg and then they have another leg wherever it is in Indonesia which is an elimination leg *fingers crossed*It will break Indonesia's record since Indonesian legs are always EL <///////////////////3
i know right. :hearts: sooner or later, there will be a NEL in Indonesia. but i somehow really believe this one is a non elimination.the dectives are very great and dedicated. they should be given an award immediately :hearts: i hope that this Bandung leg is a NEL leg and then they have another leg wherever it is in Indonesia which is an elimination leg *fingers crossed*It will break Indonesia's record since Indonesian legs are always EL <///////////////////3
No! This is my favorite route! They're going to places that I've been craving for years! Portugal, Norway, Poland, Abu Dhabi, and Bandung FTW! :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:But I just realized that this route kinda heavy on Europe, isn't it. :( It'll be better if they replace Vienna for a leg in Northern/Eastern Africa...
Having double Indonesia again is disappointing. But have you ever seen the "same" part of Indonesia every time they went here? ;) ;) ;)

You are right, but its the same country and for the third season out of five they are having two legs in Indonesia. They risk overdoing it.
I'd be disappointed if the final leg was in San fransisco. I feel like that area has been the location for the finale numerous times over the years. Wouldn't mind Seattle but at the same time I wouldn't be trilled.I wouldn't be disappointed for SanFran again. TAR2 featured some decent sites and Sausalito which was okay. TAR11's feature was mostly in the city core of SF. TAR16's finale made me want to barsh (barf & blush), not only to the win, but the Star Wars, Coit Tower rappelling, and psychedelic posters theatre crap was embarrassing for S.F. A childhood friend I have living in West San Francisco watched the finale and told me how disgusted she was of seeing "her" city being featured poorly. I mean, SF has SO MANY amazing sites like the Embarcadero St. (Pier 39, Fisherman's Wharf, Ferry Building Marketplace), Alcatraz, Chinatown (origin of fortune cookies), the infamous trolleycars, so much history. It's a deep shame they couldn't feature any of it. :( I would feel sorry since I used to live in San Francisco for 10 years as a newborn to kid before moving to Chicago.

Maybe that's because the production is cutting the budget (am I right), and travelling in Indonesia for foreigners (especially within Java) is pretty cheap, y'know. ;) But I agree that they should take a rest in visiting Indonesia for a couple of seasons, but then go to other places in Indonesia like Sumatra, Sulawesi, Kalimantan, or even Papua! :)

Not too mention there are plenty of great places just North, South, and East of San Fran that could host tasks and/or the finish line (Napa Valley, Oakland Hills, Silicon Valley, etc)
I just hope that we get Seattle, Chicago, St. Louis, Boston, Philadelphia and Miami as End Cities in the future!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i'm still praying that leg 7 and 8 is in Doha. they haven't been going to new countries for 2 seasons. while they're still so many safe countries they haven't been to. nonetheless, abu dhabi is still fine with me
Does anyone know how far the last all-female team got?I believe the last time we saw them was in Bandung. :)

Go watch TAR18 if you want Miami, they won't be going for a while now
As for the others, well, it's when TPTB feels it's time to visit them
Juneau final destination city love <33333

Just thinking...
Funny how some people here are already getting tired of Indonesia, after fans wanting it so badly for a long, long time. And it was a lot more so after the Asian and Aussie editions went there beforehand.
The COUNTRY being new doesn't bother me at all. The LOCATION and TASKS being fresh is what matters to me...
Look at how fun TAR Canada is going to be...all in ONE country!

TAR 4? With 3 Steves, 2 Jons and Dave/David...? :funny:And another pair Cindy/Cyndi and Russell. :funny:
The new intro really makes me dizzy :iok I don't like it :(
and a lot of footage from previous seasons destinations in the intro...
so disappointing!!!
I mean I'm all for the change. They lost the reality series Emmy to The Voice....yes, The Voice. I think they are trying to spice up the show. I understand TAR fans hate the "scripted" teams but that's how you gain more viewers. If there is a team that has a buzz in the TV world such as (potentially) Tim and Marie or the Afghanimals, more people will want to watch. They are onviously trying to liven up the show so I can not blame them. I wasn't thrilled by the premiere but I thought it was okay and I think the season has some potential. No, they don't. The seasons with no actors or obscure actors/entertainment gurus did better than the show is now, and the show wasn't constant action and brainlessness like it is now. Every single team playing seems impulsive and they are recruited for "dynamic" TV, when, in all reality, it's not dynamic or entertaining to watch at all. (Unless you like constant action and impulsive overreactions) It's basically the same as the movie The Avengers with its ridiculous constant action. It makes it so that the viewer doesn't have to think at all and just watches it purely for entertainment instead of learning. The first 14 or so seasons were actually educational and had downtime where you could actually get to know the teams. THOSE aspects were enjoyable for me. There's a reason so many early fans of the show have ditched it by now. There is absolutely no cultural value in it and in the old seasons I even felt as if I was on the same journey as the teams. WRP should realize that, but unfortunately they only care about money.
This is the most garbage amazing race season premiere I've ever seen. Just based on the starting line alone, I can already tell this whole season will be manufactured tasks and tons of fake actor-esque teams. I know I won't be following this season, just like the past 4 seasons.
And this alone explains TAR's lowest 8 point something ratings in viewership. The producers better start realizing they need to either FIRE & REHIRE PREVIOUS CREW MEMBERS or RETRAIN EVERY CREW MEMBER (no if, ands, buts, or whys about it :nono2:) how to properly edit and deliver a quality cast and route. The athlete teams need to stop. The "pretty girl" faces need to halt because they need to realize either they have a memorable personality or belong on VH1. From what I heard about other CBS shows, this is beyond the worst year of broadcasting in CBS history. This is the most garbage amazing race season premiere I've ever seen. I completely agree 100% though you missed out with TAR22.
CBS REALLY needs to quit giving away spoilers in the episode titles. :groan:

I was skimming through the interview of Hoskote & Naina, and they mentioned that they had a layover in Dallas, which seemed to play a factor why the 2nd set of teams were a lot farther behind than the 1st set. I wonder why it was not shown at all, instead showing as if it was a straight shot from LA to Santiago.

I believe they said something about a delay in Santiago though, I remember Jason&Amy talking about it in Santiago's Airport.

What do you mean?
Hoskote: You had to take one of the two flights the show booked. Between the first and second flights, there was going to be a 30-minute gap between when they landed in Santiago, Chile. Then there was a one-hour window from Santiago to Iquique. Once we arrived there, we could've all gotten on the same flight to Iquique. They didn't show this on TV, but unfortunately, there was a hurricane in Dallas and our flight went through Dallas, so we knew we were going to be three hours late into Santiago. ... If we were allowed to use our own navigation skills and our chutzpah to get to Chile any way we want, maybe we wouldn't have been three hours late. But the rules didn't allow that. We ended up being three and a half hours late, so seven teams were completing the leg before our flight had even arrived in Chile.
I'm just watching the beginning of the second episode and...
IQUIQUE IS NOT KNOWN AS THE CITY OF ETERNAL SUNSHINE, IQUIQUE IS KNOWN AS THE CITY OF CHAMPIONS, YES OUR CITIES HAVE A NICKNAME BUT THAT IS NOT US, ARICA IS THE CITY OF ETERNAL SPRING FOR EXAMPLE, ANTOFAGASTA IS THE PEARL OF THE NORTH, AND SO ON... BUT WE ARE NOT THE CITY OF ETERNAL SUNSHINE, WE ARE THE CITY OF CHAMPIONS (:;) (:;) (:;) (:;) (:;) (:;) (:;) (:;) (:;) (:;) (:;)
Also those neoclasical buildings that were shown while Phil was talking about Iquique, those were buildings in Santiago except for Teatro Municipal de Iquique (:;) (:;) (:;) (:;)
I expected so much more :gaah:
you know what i am really loving about this season? It has had the best editing in a long time. After only TWO legs, no team has been ignored and we can get a feel for each of the teams! Also, we got moments for all teams in leg two! That is just awesome!
I'm glad TAR didn't show that. That would have generated even more hate against the muslim community. I just want to say Ephraim is muslim too and the issue here is with two individuals and please... don't bring religion into this debate okay? :) <3

I'm sad that Brandon and Adam were eliminated. They are such fun people to watch. Saddest moment of the season so far for me. :(me too :pity
Why on earth do they ruin any kind of suspense & leave 4 people left in episode 10 you no it is most likely going to be a NEL. So when they do it like this i always find episode 10 boring i dont want to NO before the episode has even started its a NEL (:;) (:;)

Heee, pretty bad when even the SPOILER boars don't like it. :lol3:
I really liked their way of racing. But I do not think they made enough merits to be on an allstars, tbh.
Marie should have returned.
