I've run across some indications that TAR Vietnam 2 may be starting to film in the next week or two. I wasn't aware before this that TAR Vietnam was going to have a second season, so I thought I'd pass the news along. I'm not completely comfortable about posting what I found just yet and I'll try to get additional confirmation if I can.

Declive, I found something that probably shouldn't have been on the internet and I'm not comfortable revealing it at this time. Beyond that, I have no proof. Hopefully more will materialize later on. I'm sorry that I have to be mysterious about it, but I don't want to get anyone from TAR Vietnam in trouble.
Airlinesguy, I don't have any information about whether it will be an international race or one inside Vietnam.

Since the race has started, I can reveal that Kim Lee was the source of the information I had about TAR Vietnam 2. She's been tweeting for the last week or 10 days that she was going to be involved with TAR Vietnam 2 in some way, probably as a contestant. While it was apparently OK with the producers that she was tweeting (since she is still on the show) and is now tweeting during the race, I didn't want to take any chances of getting her removed by publicizing it in advance.
Her Twitter account lists her as appearing in "HANGOVER 2 , MAXIM & FHM COVER GIRL. #1 2011 FHM SEXIEST WOMAN OF THE WORLD" and available for DJ gigs. Her web page http://misskimlee.com (http://misskimlee.com) appears to have been moved into a holding pattern from I saw a week or so back.

Maybe she is with production, but I figured a model was more likely to be a contestant. Production seems more likely if she is tweeting. Maybe she's a replacement host?
Anyway, she has made several tweets today about going to a modeling photo shoot in Saigon. I can't imagine that they would let her out to do that if she's racing. There's nothing about filming TAR Vietnam today, so I guess it's an off day.
I'm finding her Twitter feed and the events she is listing very strange. I'm hoping she will put up a picture of a clue box or something unquestionably TAR soon.

They're just B or C-rank celebrity. The first couple (2 DJs) I have never heard before. I hate that most of them are Actors, Singers or Models. Only one is athlete.
I think I will go with the only F/F team (blue team). Hien is very strong girl. She has already traveled to many places with her motobike. So She has experimental. I don't like her partner much through. Diep Lam Anh is a strong girl but she has attitude. Alpha male team might be Green team. For M/F team, I prefer the Purple one.

Not only is she going online during the race, but she apparently went to a photoshoot in Saigon/Ho Chi Minh City and is now promoting an appearance in Bali on June 14th.

After it had been posted here, I found the article in the Saigon Times (I think) that had the pictures of the teams. I didn't realize that the text hadn't been posted here or I would have done so. I'm not sure if I can find it now because I'm on another computer. Anyway, I'm fairly sure the article said TAR Vietnam wasn't leaving Vietnam, that it was a domestic race. That implies that Kim Lee is either planning to leave the country on a scheduled off day to do her appearance in Bali and then return before the next leg begins or she expects to be out of the race by then and free to travel. Either thought is shocking, at least to me. :wtf:
I suspect your friends won't find much in Bali unless they go to her DJ show and manage to talk to her.
By the way, looking through her tweets shows that she spends much of her life on planes. In the last 7-10 days before TAR Vietnam 2 started, she flew from Vietnam back home to Los Angeles then to Prague for an appearance, back home to Los Angeles for a day or two and finally back to Vietnam for the Race. If she doesn't do well on the show, it's got to be partly due to accumulated jet lag. :alarm

Thanks. I was about 90% sure she had to be a contestant because being a model, actress and DJ wouldn't lend itself to doing most of the jobs on the production team. Her outside activities were confusing though. Obviously it's a much more informal race than most of the other versions. Not only eat, sleep and mingle, but moonlight at other gigs and travel internationally on your own!

The second season of the Vietnamese version of the reality show “Amazing Race” began on June 5 with the participation of a number of local celebrities, instead of celebrities and their friends, like last year.
This year’s competitors include DJs Tien Dat and Kim Lee, singers Pha Le and 365 band member ST, models Diep Lam Anh, Thu Hien, Ha Viet Dung, and Thanh Hoa, and actors Nhan Phuc Vinh, Linh Son and Phareal Phuong.
The participants will be divided into nine teams of two and compete in the race around Vietnam to win the VND300million (US$14,423) prize.
Actor Huy Khanh will also take over from actor Dustin Nguyen’s as the show’s host.
The season’s twelve episodes will be broadcast at 8pm every Friday from July 27 on VTV3.
Baggio and Thanh Phuc were the winners of the first season.
Created by Elise Doganieri and Bertram van Munster, the original series has aired in the United States since 2001 and has earned thirteen Primetime Emmy Awards, including every award from 2003 to 2012 for "Outstanding Reality-Competition Program", except in 2010, when Top Chef won.

- Starting line: Dinh Thống Nhất (Reunification Palace)
- Route info: Find three Vietnamese traditional hats (Nón Lá) with phrase: Cuộc đua (Race) + Kỳ Thú (Amazing) + 2013
- Route info: Find the building in the pictures, climb to 49th floor by foot (no elevator use) to find the next clue. (Bitexco Building)
- Route info: Go to BHD cinema in 3rd floors to find the next clue
- Roadblock: Who love to watch a movie? Find a clue under the seat in the cinema (with many people sit there to watch a movie)

- Route info: Go to Ca mau by highway bus and then go to a place built by France in 1910 to find a next clue. (Nhà dây thép - Wire House - Old post office)
- Detour: Farming or Fishing
+ Farming: There is a mix of two kinds of beans. Seperate them and count each kind of beans.
+ Fishing: Catch 20 small local fishes (cá kèo) and cook them while moving
- Route info: Go to the village under Ong Tinh Bridge to find a next clue held by certain villagers.
- Route info: Repair a bicycle to receive your next clue.
- Route info: Use that repaired bicycle, then drive yourselves to the port near Nam Can monument to find a next clue
- Route info: Go by a kind of boat (vỏ lãi) to a fishing place (Đáy đánh cá) where you have find 5 minutes to find your next clue. If you fail, you need to come back and wait in line for the next try.
- Route info: Go by canoe to Dat Mui (Đất Mũi) to find next clue
- Roadblock: Who often wears scarfs? Put a big python on your neck and then bring it to a man who is standing in a high observation place nearby to receive your next clue.
- Pitstop: Walk yourselves to the pitstop along the marked path - Southernmost point of Vietnam.

Leg 4: Nha Trang, Khánh Hòa
- Route info: find a restaurant in Amiana resort and count number of complete dinnerware sets in only 1 minutes.
- Route info: Go by taxi to the harbor of Long Phu tourist area to find next clue
- Roadblock: Treasure under the sea
+ Dive into marked area and find the clue
- Route info: Go to Hon Leo harbor in Dao Khi (Monkey Island) to find next clue
- Detour: Fish or Bird (in Dao Hoa Lan - Orchid Island)
+ Fish: Catch one crocodile, go along the required path and bring it to a man to receive the next clue
+ Bird: Ride on ostriches, go around the area 2 times, each member holds one cup of water. After finishing, if the water level is higher than marked line, they will receive the next clue.
- Route info: Catch a ball
+ One member ride a zip line and throw a basketball, other member hold a bin and catch that ball
- Route info: Go to Sheraton Hotel, Nha Trang and find a receptionist at the front desk to receive next clue.
- Route info: Go to kitchen at 6th floor and make fresh noodles to receive next clue
- Route info: Find a bar, eat a big cake without using hands to find a hidden elevator key. This elevator key is used to go to 30th floor.
- Pitstop: 30th floor of Sheraton Hotel

There are 12 episodes. We have 9 teams so we should have 5 NEL or KOR legs. Up to now 2 legs were NEL.

Leg 5: Dak Lak - Dak Nong
- Starting line: Sheraton hotel, Nha Trang
- Route info: Go to Buon Don, Buon Me Thuot by highway bus and then taxi. Find the clue in the marked old house - The house of legendary Ama kong.(They have 1.3M VND, Pha Le - Viet Dung team has no money)
- Route info: Ask the locals for staying over night. (I'm confusing about this task, all teams stays overnight together but next morning they go in order and I'm not sure the time gap between teams, maybe the same as they start from Sheraton Hotel or Highway Bus.)
- Route info: Hear and guess
+ Go to Suspension bridge center, Teams will hear sound of a gong and they must guess which gong was hitted, go to find and bring it back in 5 minutes.
- Detour: Tree and soil
+ Tree: Count the number of coffea trees in marked area and solve a math problem.
Math problem: Each tree produces 30kg raw coffee seeds. 1kg raw coffee seeds after drying gives 65% dried coffee seeds. 1kg dried coffee seeds can produce 73% processed coffee seeds (I don't know what is cà phê nhân). Roasting and milling 1kg processed coffee seeds to have 81% coffee powder. Question is: with counted number of coffea trees, how many kg of raw coffee seeds, dried coffee seeds, processed coffee seeds and coffee powder are produced?
+ Soil: Bring 250 unburned bricks using old cart through a road with many obstacles
- Route info: Find the way to Dray Nur waterfall (or Wife Watefall) to receive next clue
- Roadblock: Who want to climb a waterfall
+ One member swim to the Dray Nur Waterfall, then climb a rope ladder to the top of the waterfall
- Route info: Open the treasure. Go to Dray Sap Waterfall (or Husband Waterfall). One member climbs down the waterfall to find out 4 numbers. Other member uses these 4 numbers to find out a code to open a safe.
- Pitstop: Nha Dai (Long House) near Dray Sap.

- Route info: Move from Dak Lak to Da Nang then go to My Son Ruin - Quang Nam by taxi to find the next clue.
- Route info: Finding Clay toys
+ Each team needs to find 5 clay toys around the ruin. There are fake and real ones. The real toys can use as a horn.
+ Members of each team can not talk to each others.
- Route info: Find a village in the distance of 10 km from Nam Phuoc Town, Duy Xuyen, Quang Nam. This village's famous local product is related to sleeping. (Duy Vinh village, Duy Phuoc, Quang Nam - Local production: Sedge mat)
- Route info: Bring 3 big packages of sedge using an old small bicycle to a woman's house to receive the next clue. (They need to get the number. I don't know what it's for but maybe the bicycle)
After this task: No clue as they said, all teams go back to Da Nang city, rest and start to race next morning.
Mid-leg position
1. Lâm Anh - Thu Hiền
2. Tiến Đạt - Hari
3. Thanh Hoa - Anh Tuấn
4. Linh Chi - Phúc Vinh
5. Linh Sơn - Đoàn Mạnh
6. Thùy Dung - Đức Hưng
- Roadblock: Who want to find a needle in an ocean (a hay)
+ Go to Da Nang Diving Club.
+ One member will swim and dive in the big pool. He will try to open some boxes at the bottom of the pool with a bunch of keys. If there is a soda bottle (sponcer's product lol) in the box, they find a correct box. They have 1 minute and 30 seconds to do this task.
+ After finding out the bottle, they need to throw it into a basket up in the air. They have 1 minute to do this task.
+ This road block is in order. So if they fail to do the task, they might wait in line for other teams.
- Route info: Go to cable car station in Ba Na Hill to find the next clue.
- Detour: High tower or Deep cellar
+ High tower: Go by cable car to the highest tower in Ba Na Hill. They must climb the stairway to obtain 5 boards. The sum of numbers in the boards must be 20.000. Each time they get a board, they must bring it down then go again.
+ Deep cellar: Go by cable car to one of the biggest wine cellar in Da Nang. Find a wine bottle with small TAR sticker.
In both task, one leg of each member of a team will tie to one leg of the other (to make them difficult to move).
- Pit stop: Tien Son Stadium

- Route info: Perform a traditional song (Hò Khoan Lệ Thủy). They must get the number and do it in order. If they fail, they must wait for other teams.
(This song uses many local words)
(During this task, they show conflict of Pink team, between Tien Dat and Hari about 6, 7 minutes. It makes me boring)
- Route info: Go to Heaven Cave (Động Thiên Đường), count number of the steps of the marked wooden stairway.
- Roadblock: Who love cleaning?
+ Go to a given address
+ One member need to make a broom
- Route info: Go to Coco coffee house to receive a gift, then they should give the gift to a mother whose sons died in the war for protect the country - Mother Ha Thi Vien.
- Pit Stop: Sun Spa Resort, Dong Hoi
This is Keep on racing leg. (But they do not keep on racing. They will stay in the resort for a night and race next morning)

+ Work: Go to the nearby spring, bring the water back to village and water plants in marked area.
- Route info: Go to Hang Én (En Cave) to find the next clue

- Roadblock: Who love to eat fish?

- Starting line: Changi Airport
- Route info: Go to Merlion park to find the next clue
- Route info: Go to Days Hotel in Zhongsan Park, they should make a room exactly the same as the shown room. After that, they will stay in the room and start to race next morning. (of course, they start the race in the same order they finish this task)
- Roadblock 1: Who want to be a pilot?
+ Perform a flight simulation
- Route info: Go to Food Republic, Vivo city, find a food stand, they should make a kind of cakes, 10 cakes per each member in 5 minutes
- Roadblock 2: Who love wind?
+ Go to iFly Singapore in Sentosa Island
+ They learn an indoor parachute performance.
Note: One persone can do both roadblocks.
- Route info: Go to Clarke Quay
+ First task: Perform Reverse Bungee
+ Second task: After finish first task, they should try to thread 10 needles in 3 minutes. (However, if they fail the second task, they don't need to do the first task again, just wait some minutes and start again).

Leg 10: Cát Bà - Hải Phòng
- Starting point: Bến Bèo, Cát Bà, Hải Phòng
- Fast Forward: Head Shaving and Ball Heading
+ Go to Fast Forward site, find the scissors, hair razor by their own, then shave their head by theirselves
+ After shaving head, they go to the beach, try to heading the soccer ball 5 times without dropping the ball. Distance between them is no less than 3 meters.
- Route info: Find the clue under the sand
+ Go to Prince 2 Beach (Bãi Hoàng Tử 2)
+ There are 60 sand castles. They must find the clue under them (or nearby area). If no clue, they must remake the castle before continuing.
(This one is the same as the second roadblock, Leg 1, TAR US 22 but there are only 60 castles. The clues are deeper under the sand but they can use the shovel)
- Route info:
+ Using kayak to go to Prince 1 Beach (Bãi Hoàng tử 1)
+ There are five boats, each boat has a combination of three color boards. One member will fly up with Parachute-pulled canoe to see and remember all the combination in 90 seconds. The other member use the kayak to go to the destination and wait for their partner.
+ If they reassemble the correct combination, they receive the next clue
(Note: They can take note so no memory challenge at all)
- Route info:
+ Using kayak to go back to Prince 1 Beach
+ Swimming into the sea, try to climb up two floating platforms.
+ After each member stays in one platform, one member need to take three full-body photos of other member.
+ If finishing the task under 10 minutes, they receive next clue

+ One member should climb up the mountain, collect all eggs and soda bottles (because of sponsor company lol) as required.

That's what I heard. The final leg is the only leg Express Pass can not be used. This season, the rule is somehow easier than before. Maybe because of Celebrity Edition.

You build Realityfan Wiki, right? I check and realize some mistakes:
- Leg 2, S. T and Hùng Phong initially arrived at 8th, not 7th
- About Roadblock, Đức Hưng did 6 (leg 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10) and Thuỳ Dung did 5 (leg 1, 2, 3, 9x2)

Um...call me crazy, but do we even SEE TD & ĐH doing the Roadblock on Leg 3? I just re-watched the episode from the point they completed the blindfolded beach challenge and got all the way to Kim Lee & Pharreal doing the Roadblock.

No, they were not shown to complete that Roadblock. I did not see them do it, too. But Duc Hung told me that Dung did it.

I don't understand why they (production) change the rules completely. It makes the race getting boring because the position is always same as previous leg.
The editing is still really bad. Even worse than last year. They makes the race look like an easy pie althought it's hard.
But the cast save the show. This year, there are many different personalities. They created a lot of dramas and funny monents and they caught attention of many viewers. (Maybe because of they're celebrities). I like all the girls this season. They make the show more colorful. And some of the girls are getting more famous after the race. Especially Hari, she's a Korean girl, cancer survivor, her bf is a famous rapper and their love story's just like a soap drama on TV. Blue team, I don't like both of them on VN's next top model but on TAR, i really like how they play.
On the other side, Red team has a lot of haters. I'm OK with Linh Chinh but but NPV's bossy attitude :meow:
There's only one final episode. I hope Blue win. It's really great when an all-female team win. *circle praying*
The show will be renewed for sure. BHD needs to fire editting crews. They sucks. All BHD's shows (VN's got talents, MasterChef, Vietnam Idol) are horrible because of editting. And Huy Khanh, if he continues hosting next year, please change the style.
@GB: I think you shouldn't replace "Thanh Hoa" = "Bông", "Bông"'s just her nickname.

@Quoc Nghia I gave some consideration to that. The rule of TAR wiki pages is that we identify them by how they're identified on-sceen. I got into a huge argument on the Israel TAR pages because the teams' "relationships" there were not matching what was displayed on-screen in Hebrew.
Luu Esther is represented as "Hari" because she is constantly credited on-screen as Hari. However, with the case of "S.T" and "Bông", they were only credited on SOME episodes as such.
S.T was credited as such on 1/2 episodes, which was majority enough for me to make an administrative decision to do so. However, Bông was only credited as such for 2/6 episodes. That's not enough, and she was more consistently credited as Thanh Hoa.

Oh man, that was you? I remember reading that! You don't speak Hebrew, do you? I ask because the team labels weren't always the same. Like, sometimes for Alon & Oren it'd say "Brothers", but other times it'd say "CEO & Lawyer" or something like that, and I think for Osi & Carmit it'd sometimes say "From X", X being their hometown. So in some cases what was on the Wiki page was correct and in others what you thought should be on the page was correct.
But anyway, I like Đức Hưng & Thùy Dung but since Diệp Lâm Anh & Thu Hiền made it to the final leg I'm rooting for the girls. I just hope the tasks in the leg won't be as ridiculously unfair as the one in last season's.

In cases where things change from episode to episodes, I usually find it's best to go with what is displayed the most often. (Hence, Hari vs. Thanh Hoa)

- Route info: Go by train from Hanoi to Sapa, Lao Cai. Find Stone Church (Nhà thờ đá) to find the next clue
- Route info: Go to Vinh Mai Art Shop. Team members should find and wear traditional clothes and accessories as Red Dao people (Người Dao Đỏ) in 5 minutes. If they wear correctly, they receive the next clue.
- Roadblock: Who love flower?
+ Go to Mr. Ly Sai Sen's house in Ta Phin (Xã Tả Phìn), Sapa
+ One member should embroider a sample by hand as an instruction
- Detour: Botanical or Animal
+ Botanical: Team members should do farming in marked field. When the judge satisfied, they receive the next clue.
+ Animal: Team members choose a number. Then, they should chase a small pig with corresponding number into corresponding shelter. They can not touch the pig or use the bait such as food...
(Both Detours take place in Sin Chai (Thôn Sín Chải), Sapa)
After detour, all teams stay over night and continure to race next morning.
Mid-leg position:
1. Thu Hiền - Lâm Anh

- Route info: Go to Forest ranger point in Hoàng Liên Sơn Range, Sapa then climb to the rest point at level 2200m height. There, each member should cut from a dead pig to obtain two pieces of meat. If the total weight of those two pieces is around 500 grams (they accept some errors, maybe not over 10 grams), they receive the next clue.
(Even the pig is already dead, many races and a lot of the viewers find this task so terrible and savage)
- Route info: Eat Thang Co (Thắng Cố). Thang Co is a traditional dish from H'Mong people. They used many inner parts of animal and a lot of spices and herbs to cook it. (I never eat it before but I heard that the smell is like **** and also the taste. Of course, the production crews cook it in a safer way for racers. However, it still seems to be disgusting) Each member need to eat a big bowl of Thang Co to receive next clue. If they vomit, they must eat another bowl.
(Thu Hiền - Lâm Anh and Tiến Đạt - Hari choose to give up this task. They all got 45 minutes penalties)
- Route info: Go to marked area and play a traditional game called Nem Con (Ném Còn). One member should try to throw a small ball which has a long tail through a ring up in the air. Other member need to catch that ball. Each team has 5 chances in 3 minutes. They only need to be successful 1 time to receive the next clue.
- Pit Stop: Lầu Vọng Cảnh, Bản Cát Cát (Vọng Cảnh Observation Point, Cat Cat Village)

It's a bit difficult.
According to Facebook accounts, Thanh Phuc's hometown là Ho Chi Minh. Baggio was born in France but his hometown in FB is Ho Chi Minh. I'm not sure about him.
I will ask my friend. He added friends with many racers and production crews from last season. I hope he can help.

The Red hit the finish line first but they had 30' penalty because of breaking the rules (at the roadblock and traffic laws). The Blue came 2nd when the penalty was not over and they won. :hrt:

The host said that if the Red team stopped and changed motobike when the riders broke the traffic laws, they wouldn't be got penalty. Traffic in Vietnam is chaostic and this show was aired in national TV. Social media will go crazy if the Red didn't get the penalty.
Finally, thanks to moto-riders. :funny: And bye bye Nhan Phúc Vinh. He's Jonnathan (TAR6) of VN. I liked him when the race started because i watched a lot of his dramas but now I can't stand him.
