Very saddened that Erik and Sherri didn't punch their ticket to the final 5. Oh well. Malcolm should've just kept digging, or told Reynold and Eddie to look for it. Also, at camp, Andrea's not gonna stare at you all day. Sprint into the woods the second she looks elsewhere! But no biggie. I still have my two original favorites in, and they're looking good if the 6 start to turn on each other.

Same... and I don't know why he didn't wait to buy the advantage at the next Immunity Challenge.
If I were Erik and Sherri, I wouldn't flip too. If I flip, it's still 4 vs 4 the next week. And I wouldn't win with Malcolm either.. and I'll be seen as a backstabber and I won't win with the jury either.
Good for us watching at home, but bad for the person who flipped as a whole.

I really loved this episode. Andreagoddess and her showdown was something I will never forget! <33333333333333333 :lol3: :lol3: :lol3: :lol3: :lol3: But I really thought she was out. Glad that's not the case.
Dawn just became one of my favourite castaways of all-time, simply by using the word "arrogance" to describe the Three Amigos. I'm not the only one after all. :lol:
Can't believe the amount of screentime Erik and Brenda got. I think they were both seen more in this episode than the rest of the season combined. :o
And I'm really happy Malcolm is gone. Andrea's showdown worked. <3 :lol3:

I would've liked a Corinne, Andrea, Malcolm power-group, but I don't think Andrea had any reason to flip at the time, being in the core of the alliance. That may change later on, but it wasn't a feasible option before.

I think it's the fact, that these Favourites are good players (only played twice all of them) and even if they think that Andrea is a huge threat, they didn't tell her at all. Andrea thinks she's tight with Dawn and Cochran.... BUT that's not the case at all.

I don't know why Malcolm didn't slip off to look for the idol while the majority of that group was reading their letters from home. I know it's all in the edit, but it would make sense that they were all so excited to read their letters that the only people that might have noticed he slipped away were Sherri and Dawn. Either that or (at the risk of sounding like Philip) he could have taken a page from the Boston Rob playbook and acted like he was going off to take care of some personal business, which no one in their right mind would want to hover over you and watch. In any event, if he really thought he was in the right place he should have kept digging. So what if Andrea saw him find it. He might have been better off if he did and everyone knew.
After watching last night's episode, I still don't think he was being arrogant at the previous tribal. It seemed like the other two amigos might have been a little cocky, but I didn't get that from Malcolm. Again it's all in the edit, but that's my take on it.
It's funny, every season of the Amazing Race I have a favorite team or two. In all the seasons of Survivor I've seen, there have only been one or two people that I wanted to see win. This season is no different, there are plenty of people I don't want to see win but I'm not rooting for anyone.
Sherri - I just don't get how she thinks she's a mastermind of anything. Maybe it's because of the edit, but would they really give her such a bland edit if she was doing anything. It's like when people complain about how bad the edit makes them look on (insert reality show). They can't show it if you didn't do it. Well, if you're not doing anything they can't show you doing something.
Cochran - comes off as cocky this season IMO. If anyone else acted the way he did after winning immunity people would say "what a jerk." I know he seems like such an unlikely person to win anything that people want to give him a pass, but if it's arrogant, cocky and annoying when one person does it, it's arrogant, cocky and annoying when anyone does it.
Dawn - really just rubs me the wrong way this season. I hate to say it because it seems mean considering the fact that she really seems to be becoming unglued, but even cutting her some slack I just don't care for her.
Brenda - seems likable enough. I suppose if I had to pick one, she's the one I'd like to see win.
Andrea - probably a close second to Brenda. I guess I wouldn't mind if either of them went to the end.
Eddie/Reynold - Eh, I can't even remember which one is which without seeing their name next to them. I think that's the problem with mixing old players and new players in a season. Unless they're outstanding or annoying, the newbies don't have much of a chance of being memorable.

Most of your other comments make sense to varying extents, but I really don't agree with this part. He was clearly joking. He knows that nobody expected him to win. And he realises that it will quite possibly never happen again. He's just joking as though he's some sort of challenge god. He was laughing at himself more than anything else.
Did he take it too far? Maybe. I can understand that. But it's far from being cocky. Just because he said "I'm going to just win every challenge" doesn't make him cocky - you have to consider the context in which it was said. He was saying "I'm going to just win every challenge" while really hinting at "I don't know how this is happening and this will probably never happen again".
That's just the way I see it.

Racer, I agree you could look at it from that point of view. It depends on whether or not you're a fan of a particular player. It's the type of thing that if you like the player it doesn't bother you, but if you don't like them it's annoying. I'm looking at it form a "what's good for the goose is good for the gander" point of view. Joab is correct, the context you see it in depends on where you come from and your experiences. I've had a lot of experience with both the goose and gander complaining about each other for the same behavior and both were annoying.

I hated Cochran in S23 and loved him during the first 10 episodes of S26 but yeah I hated seeing Cochran act this way this episode because seemed waaaay too cocky (but it makes sense for him to be one since he was down last time :lol:).
He's now turning into an overrated "challenge beast" who just won because he had the advantage. :lol:
And wow at the Brenda screentime overload wow where have you been all my life a-a-a-ayf season long. :lol:
And Andrea's really a trying hard to be a //force// in the game lol such a cray cray jk :lol:

I think the only people who would benefit from flipping would have been Andrea or Erik. Sherri is sadly on the bottom on either side, but Erik and Andrea could've had ways of weaving their way into a legit final 3 deal.

I'll be honest, Corinne and Andrea were both Malcolm's downfall - Corinne because she basically boasted about a majority, and lost it, and Andrea for refusing him to get the idol he bought :(

Corinne more though. If Corinne didn't blab to Dawn, the 6 (3 amigos + Erik Corinne and Mike) could easily vote out Sherri, and then take control of the game.

I'm actually legitimately amazed that people think Cochran is arrogant for those comments. I can understand why people might find Phillip to be arrogant, although I disagree with it, but Cochran? Seriously? He's clearly joking about it. You're free to your opinions, but I just don't understand how his comments are so misconstrued. ???

racer, because it really seemed like he was deluded for about a second when he came back from Immunity and went blah blah blah blah blah. It felt a little cocky, BUT I agreed it was really funny. The last time he won, it felt like he was joking about his ability. This time, he seemed like he was totally confident and sounded as if the rest were bull-****ty and not on par with him in terms of challenge performance at all. And it doesn't help that he won only because of the advantage... thus it makes sense that people thought that he was pulling such an "Award Speech" type of confession but we all know he wouldn't have won without the advantage. :lol3:

Oh I get his humor. I find him neither funny nor charming, but I do get it. I was just trying to point out that if another player, let's say Eddie or Reynold just because I still can't tell them apart, acted the same way people would be saying they're being jerks even if they were joking.

Cochran was definitely kidding, but he's also basically stating that statistically he's been the most dominant in challenges. But still Eddie and Reynold are basically the strongest in physical challenges. Cochran also only won because of the knot advantage. If a scrawny college kid and a jacked fireman are on equal footing, who's gonna win? C'mon.

And i stand by what i said after episode 3 about everyone should vote in a 3 way tie. Andrea votes for Malcolm or Reynold, Reynold for Malcolm or Andrea, and Malcolm for Andrea or Reynold
