IN THE MOST SHOCKING TRIBAL COUNCIL SO FAR THIS SEASON, A HUGE REVELATION FORCES AN ALLIANCE TO SCRAMBLE AND POTENTIALLY TURN ON EACH OTHER, ON “SURVIVOR: CARAMOAN – FANS VS. FAVORITES,” WEDNESDAY, APRIL 17
"Zipping Over the Cuckoo’s Nest" — An accident threatens one castaway’s future in the game, and in one of the most shocking Tribal Councils, a huge revelation forces an alliance to scramble and potentially turn on each other, on SURVIVOR: CARAMOAN – FANS vs. FAVORITES, Wednesday, April 17 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
CHEAT TWEET: 10 castaways remain & #Survivor is heating up! You don’t want to miss this Wednesday 4/17, 8/7c! http://bit.ly/156A22c
And also, if anybody can get the 30 second promo up for the episode, it has A LOT of spoilers in it (such as people who don't win IC, a second HII brought back into play etc)

Oh good this could propel Brenda into a powerful position.
And one more episode for a Natalie Bolton edit <33333333

Cochran. Or Philip. -_-
I was thinking Malcolm or Cochran for the quote, personally, although Phillip would be my third guess.

I was thinking Malcolm or Cochran for the quote, personally, although Phillip would be my third guess.
I can imagine all three saying that.
Actually, I can imagine everyone saying that except for Brenda, because I can't remember what her voice sounded like. :P

Stealth R Us is chanting together S-R-Us <33333333333333333333333333333 :lol3: :lol3: :lol3: :lol3: :lol3:
The minority of Reynold, Eddie and Malcolm is going to look for an idol in the morning.
-
LOL it's gotta be Malcolm going.
-
Reward Challenge from last season that Penner won for his team simply by unearthing all of the bags in the mud pit. Malcolm from last season adopted his strategy for the Orange Team, but Reynold saw and imitated it for Purple. Ultimately Purple pulled away and won convincingly. That's Erik, Reynold, Cochran, Phillip and I think Dawn going on Reward.
-
Dawn is having her meltdowns. First, before the RC, was a meltdown over losing her teeth in the lake place and Brenda dived and found them.
Now she is paranoid that Andrea is moving to align with the other group of Malcolm, Eddie and Reynold and will destroy their plan to split the votes.
-
Dawn is feeling better on the morning of Day 28 - coincidentally the day she was voted out last time.
The Immunity Challenge is a tough one, and Phillip chooses not to participate due to a childhood fear. Eddie makes a stupid blunder at the challenge, allowing Brenda to advance to the final in his place, but in a close showdown between Reynold and Malcolm, Reynold wins Immunity. Andrea was the fourth person in the final.
Stealth R Us was planning to put 4 votes Reynold, 3 votes Malcolm prior to the Challenge. Now they will have to change that.
-
Wow, the arrogance of those three is vile and disgusting. They are so happy that they've gone from a 7-3 minority to a 6-3 minority. Congratulations on pulling off a memorable Tribal Council and now I can't wait to see one of you gone next week. Buh-bye.
Phillip :torche
I'm thanking the heavens that it wasn't Andrea at least.
-
Oh, and Malcolm just became my least favourite castaway ever. Except maybe his dear friend Denise. :res: I can't believe his arrogance at that Tribal. It was nothing short of disgusting. :eww
-
I haven't seen an idol reburied during the merge stage when there is still another idol left unplayed. :o
-
I could not be happier that Phillip went home, he was everything in the game that Malcom said he was, he was a condescending butt hole, and if he thinks he really learned anything from Boston Rob, boy was he crazy. Glad the crazy is gone.....
-

Yeah. :( I just wish Dawn or Andrea found it. :(
-
Give Malcolm credit for his gameplay. It wasn't arrogance at all. He got all the pieces of his plan in place and pulled it off perfectly.
They even picked up a fourth vote against Phillip. They got Phillip out of there, finally; which is more than what you can say for the other 6 even though they complained about Phillip for weeks.
This also opens the door for the majority alliance to spilt apart.
But that was an epic tribal council featuring a play on the two HII Malcolm had, which caught them all off guard; and that will go down as one of the epic moves in Survivor history.

They have no choice but to be arrogant since the merge they were always on the minority. You cannot blame them.
Or maybe you're just bitter your Philip was gone

I did give credit to their gameplay, jsyk. They played a smart move but there is a difference between playing a smart move and playing a smart move arrogantly. Just saying. :)

Anyway, ANDREA, BRENDA & DAWN please slaughter these people for me, kthx. <3 :<3

I have watched every Survivor episode, I am a huge fan, and I feel Phillip has always been a jerk, the things that come out of his mouth are sometime so ridiculous that is hard to listen to, so did Phillip get what he deserved tonight, and more.

That's a matter of opinion, and I respect yours, but I disagree with it.
-
Not a big fan of 'The Three Amigos'...but glad Phil has gone!!!!
-
Decided to tune into Survivor during a commercial of another show and tribal council was AMAZING. :lol3:
-
Does anybody have a link of all the previous episodes in Youtube? PLEASE PM ME :( :( (and DO NOT POST IT HERE)
-
Out of the probably 15 full seasons of Survivor I've seen, this was probably the best Tribal Council I've EVER seen!

Racer, I would definitely agree that Malcolm was being a little cocky, but in his defense, he's been on the outs on the Favorites tribe for a little while, his back is against the wall, he's being completely ignored and disrespected in camp... I kinda feel like some of his cockiness is justified. :duno: I was excited for him. He was able to make a big move from nothing at all when the other alliance assumed he'd be an easy boot.

One more ep until a Natalie Bolton Brenda edit <3
Also I think that Natalie Bolton's breakout had an Auction?
CANNOT BE COINCIDENCE <3
And OMG they preempted it this time around by showing Brenda being strategic by trying to take off Andrea instead of Phillip (both <3 and </3 at the same time)
-
one of the craziest tribal councils ever. I'm so glad Phillip has gone. i've been waiting for so long. i like those 3 amigos. i realized that they are still in the bottom 3, but they have made that alliance panic. Watching their expressions in the tribal council was priceless :ya3: :ya3:
-
So.. what happened to Dawn? I kinda blanked out on that part
-

She lost her retainer and she didn't want to show everyone the gap in her low teeth. Brenda helped her to find it in the lake.

The Tribal Council of this episode <3
-
Watching this Tribal Council brought back memories of HvV and JT's idol he gave to Russell working against him. Brilliantly played by Malcolm. Hopefully both idols will be put back into play to shake things up more!
-
I just kept saying WOW WOW WOW as this one played out!! Parvati memories for sure. Loved this one.
When are people going to figure out that Erik is dangerous? He switched again!

Move back on topic please or take a break.

It's not arrogance, it's a bro thing. I just roomed with 5 guys in a church basement for a week, and we'd probably all do that to. And not that i look at Coach as a smart player, but cutting off the head of the dragon can stir things up, and the remaining 6 may look at other options now that the dictator/exterminator is gone.
On another note, i think 1 idol will be rehidden, since only one was a merge idol, and one was from the tribal stage. But i would also understand if neither are rehidden.
-

A BIG AMEN to that! I was sick of his arrogance and his pink underpanties!! :gaah: Good riddance and hope he's never on another season!! :knuckles:
-
My sister's reaction to the episode was "they wasted two idols just to get rid of Phillip :stare" as she was expecting them to get rid of a strong strategist (namely Andrea).
Which actually brings up a fair point - and really increases my respect for Boston Rob's gameplay (despite the fact that I don't like him) because he dragged the person that everybody did not like to the end and that contributed to his win. Every season (well some) there seems to be one (or more) people that the rest of the castaways do not like (for whatever reason). And quite often the inability of the majority to put up with and keep that person costs them in the end.
Last season is a good example. Skupin and Lisa threw away a million dollars because they were incapable of putting up with Abi for three more days.
Phillip was definitely playing a different role to last time, but nonetheless that alliance would be smarter to boot a stronger strategist like Andrea (although I'm so thankful they didn't).

Bromances are almost as annoying as arrogance. Nonetheless, I still found it extremely arrogant.
I'm actually surprised that the idols were rehidden at all. The last several seasons that didn't happen at all - unless they were rehidden but nobody could be bothered to look for it and/or could not find it. Still... it is a little strange. ???
-
I think Phillip being gone makes for a better show. The theme of the first two merge episodes were people running to Phillip when someone was going against him, and that person would go home. Now that the dictator is gone, there will be more options for people and they don't have to worry about being told on.
-
Best decision ever by the amigos to take out Philip. Either Philip or Andrea would have been great picks. But Philip was obviously running the show. :D
And it works good for my TV too. Now I can stop grossing out when he appears only in his underwear in front of my screen.
-

I don't think that is remotely close to true. Andrea is obviously running things - or you could perhaps argue Cochran. Phillip thought he was running the show but I don't actually think that is the case. Phillip was running things on nuBikal when Andrea was nowhere to be found, but that was only for a 2-episode period.
-
But Phillip is keeping everyone in line. Now people on the bottom of the 6 like Sherri and Brenda can turn the game upside down, giving themselves a better chance.
-
I'm doing some rethinking, and i think the best move would've been to get rid of Dawn. She's the one who's keeps telling on everyone, which makes people skeptical to turn on SR Us. In the next round, we already know Erik would vote for Phillip, and the 3 (plus Erik) would still have a good shot at persuading Sherri or Brenda to vote out Phillip or Andrea, without someone like Dawn there to tell Phillip about this.

"Andrea is obviously running things..." hmm, I don't remember you being in the show.
Remember edit plays a big part in the things you PERCEIVE and SEE. Ultimately, when it comes to needing to vote out somebody suddenly at last TC, Andrea's name was the first one thrown out (by Philip and almost Brenda agreed immediately, look at the power he holds). Nobody wants to play with her and smart Malcolm would have figured out Andrea might become the target soon. And since she has a loose r/s with Eddie, her chances of flipping is so much more than people like Dawn and Cochran, which they have tried to get but to no avail.
We don't exactly know who's running the show, but clearly it was either Philip or Andrea... and Philip is obviously the better choice here. Obnoxious, loud, rude... they even managed to turn Erik around to vote with them.
If you don't call that a smart move, I don't know what is. :)

You're right, we can only judge based on what we see. We see three or more days condensed into an hour. But from what we have seen, it is not possible to draw a different conclusion. And I don't think she would flip, to be honest. It's possible, but unlikely, considering she is in control or at the very least, in semi-control of that alliance.
Last TC, they targeted Andrea, which was smart from their point of view. I don't understand why they flipped on that philosophy?
I don't think voting out somebody who would get 0-1 votes at the end is a smart move, over somebody who could get all the votes like Andrea, Dawn or Cochran. But I am happy that Andrea is safe, that's for sure.
-
:stare The awkward moment when everyone has a favourite and you don't have one.
-
Actually... I'm not in particular <3 to anyone right now. I'm okay with everyone except Erik and the fans minus Sherri winning this season. :lol3:
-
I really love Andrea and Brenda. Dawn is now my third favourite. Cochran and Sherri are just OK, but I like them. Erik is a boring waste of a Favorites slot. Eddie I don't mind too much. Really don't like Reynold or Malcolm.
-
Erik and Francesca were both waste of Favourites space. There were a whole load of great people after HvV like Jill, Colton and Alicia/Christina who had more fans and were at least more exciting than these two. Well, I'm being biased here about Christina... but she was such a shocker on her season. :lol3:
-
I've watched the episode a couple times over the past few days and I don't think Malcolm was being arrogant. I really think it was a mind game that he was playing with the other alliance. IMO it was more of a "so you think you've got all the power, now what...." It may have also been his first attempt to see if anyone would flip over to their side. Once they got Erik to jump onto their side voting for "Fill up" lol, they went from 7-3 underdogs to 5-4 (presuming Erik doesn't go back to the other side). All they need now is to convince someone in the other alliance that their alliance is going to turn on them and they will be in the majority. Whether it was arrogance or a strategic mind game will depend on what he does tonight and going forward. If he's a cocky punk back at camp; then, I read him wrong but I really think he was just doing it to mess with their minds and really throw the other side off their games.
Whether or not Phillip really was the mastermind or it's Andrea doesn't matter if everyone thought it was Phillip (including most of his own alliance); then, that's who had to go. Now if it really has been Andrea calling the shots all along she's in a tough spot.
I'm glad Phillip is gone. He was rude, delusional and just plain annoying to watch. I really don't know how he managed to stay as long as he did other than these players aren't that bright. The first time he "decided" unilaterally to "throw the challenge" in the middle of it should have been when he was voted out.
-
I think the others treated him as a joke and too be fair, Philip is really loyal. He says he wants to keep Laura around or keep an eye for her, but the moment he heard about her scrambling, she's gone. I think Philip just wanted to have safety nets but ultimately, he's loyal to the favourites. :)
Maybe they think bringing him to the F3 again, will be an easy win. Just like Boston Rob did.
-

That's really the only reason I could see for keeping him around, but if you keep losing and your tribe gets decimated before the merge your chances of making final 3 are slim. The way he was playing, he was just lucky that the favorites kept winning before they split up the tribes; otherwise, I think he would have been out pre-merge. I know it's purely speculation at this point because we'll never know what might have been, but had the fans gotten rid of the dead weight when they first started losing they most likely would have won a few more challenges. The only one who really hasn't had to worry about going home is Sherri.
I'll be the first to admit that I can't remember most of what happened in past seasons, but it seems like there are a lot more weak players still in the game than at this point in past seasons.
-
I thought the only "weak" player at this point is Sherri.
Watch Nicaragua. :lol3:
-
:welcome: to RFF Leilani!
-
I don't think there are many weak players left. Andrea & Brenda have clearly shown they can go up against the guys and come out on top, especially with the IC that Brenda won. Cochran isn't strong, but he would be good at puzzle (and eating :P) type challenges. Dawn isn't bad at challenges. I agree with Joab that Sherri is probably the only weak one/
-
And I think it's about edit too. Sherri has got her fair share of LOL edits at the beginning of the season too.
I love the merge cast this season. Except they need to get Corinne on the jury. :res:
