I think the crazy maze teams are shown in (in the preview) is the Peristal Singum Labyrinth – Berlin, Germany!

The only thing the TAR22 Berlin RB has in common with the TAR16 Hamburg RB is that they are both at night. Hamburg was a bungy jump. Berlin is a descender jump. Just like the TAR11 descender jump in Macao.

Apparently the base flying thing at the Park Inn is a permanent fixture.

There's still the question of the letter carrying task that Max and Katie were seen doing in the live sightings thread - if the descender jump and the labyrinth are both assumed to be Roadblocks, would that make the task just an Active RI, or could we be seeing a Detour included as well (which would make sense as there was no DT last leg)

And I believe that's Caroline with him.

I should note that Katie is jumping in twilight (caps 21-29) and carrying letters in darkness (caps 53-54 plus the initial spoilers sighting). a) Could the free-fall take place before the letters and b) Could the letters be a Detour and that by chance they have to double back towards Park Inn to complete the task?

If you google base-flying.de you can get past the password prompt with pages like this one (http://www.base-flying.de/base-flying-location.html). Apparently base-flying is sort of a prone bungy jump, and house-running resembles an Australian rappel.

I think this leg has the U-Turn, Joey/Meghan eliminated, then Caroline/Jennifer last in an NEL. It could also be the opposite.

Actually no info from me. I just used your identification from upthread (post 34). In the screen caps with Max and Katie, you can see the Park Inn but not the TV Tower and I agree with your locations for them. They are right under the TV Tower.

But with Bates and Anthony.......you identified both the Park Inn and the TV Tower, with the Park Inn in the foreground and the TV Tower in the background. That only leaves one place for Bates and Anthony......far east of the Park Inn.

My gut is telling me that this is a NEL. Two legs in UK are both ELs.
And there'll be no more U-TURN to be encountered (hint,hint, TAR 20 had a double U-TURN  appearing only in 1 leg)
Besides, a U-TURN appears in Leg 10, isn't it like too late for seasons in nowadays?

Although if there's a Double U-TURN, and Max&Katie is confirmed to be U-TURN-ed, the only possible scenario would be

i didn't know that a team only has one chance to use the U-turn :o     poor Joey & Meghan. If the rest of the teams are smart, they should U-Turn the strongest team, which is the hockey brothers. this is Amazing Race, not Amazing friends (Katie & Rachel quotes, S17) :)

I am pretty sure Joey and meghan dont get eliminated in Berlin, in fact I have a feeling they might do very well in the leg. In joeys last 2 videos he has mentioned how much he loved Berlin and how it was one of his favourite cities etc etc all very positive and it gives me the impression that its not a place he has bad memories in..

Does anybody else have the feeling this could be a Non-elimination leg? Both legs, 11 and 12, air on the same day (May 5th), with leg 9 being this Sunday and leg 10 being next Sunday. If you do the math, 3 teams will be in leg 12, 4 teams in leg 11, and 5 teams in leg 10, which is in Scotland. So, wouldn't it make sense if Berlin was an NEL and the next team eliminated was in Scotland? Or the next NEL is in Scotland rather than Berlin, meaning a team will be eliminated in Germany.

Also, can anyone explain to me how the decoys work in the final cities? For example, when do they assume they'll need to start having decoys, and how many teams do they use as decoys? Like will the next two teams eliminated be decoys in the finale? ...just curious if anybody knows.

Usually the Final 6 or so are decoys, (during TAR 16, a friend of mine spotted Steve & Allie racing in the Singapore leg), they race the course with the other teams to try to fool those who like to spoil.

I would say it sometimes depends on where the teams are when they are eliminated...are they closer to the finish site or to sequester?

Most commonly, it is the 4th and 5th elim'd who get to run decoy.

I have to agree with Alenaveda. I think that Bates and Anthony are running east through the Brandenburg Gate. They will run by the US Embassy in just a few steps as they head east down Unter den Linden toward the Park Inn. The two side building have more columns on the Tiergarten side than on the Unter den Linden side. You can see the trees of the Tiergarten through the gap in the background.

Peobably the low point in TAR history. Can't count the number of people who've told me that turned them off TAR for a long time, and I'm not sure that all of them have returned yet.

Hello to everyone, this is my 1st post on this forum (I have been reading your comments for some months and today I have decided to register myself. I'm 22 years-old, I am from Portugal and I definetely love TAR, I did watch all seasons)

I think that this leg will be a NEL leg also. And in Scotland we will have the U-Turn that will eliminate one team (and most of us know who is that). I am pretty excited for this week's leg, and I really hope that someone different can Win this leg. As we can see, only Anthony and Bates among these 5 teams had really win legs of the race. I just want more variety!

I guess also that the free-fall from the building will be a challenge for both of the parties, not a detour neither a roadblock. :)

Idk about ONE whole thread. It takes what, 25 posts(?), to fill one page? And usually there's about 10 caps per post whenever caps are done.

See the Insider videos thread for example… you have RealityFreakWill updating with 5-10 videos each week and since nobody posts on them, videos just keep flooding up and screws Internet connection (at least for me).

Just a thought.

Exactly!! But I am concerned, they are the only ones at that detour... the other one seemed more physical but easier i think :)

LOL I was just checking wiki for something else and noticed it had been updated. I thought us Canadians had the first viewing which is why I was confused.

ETA: I think Atlantic Canada was 2 hours early which may explain it.

The Berlin Museum of Letters or Buchstaben Museum is in Karl-Liebknecht-Straße 13. close to the place where Max & Katie were in the caps (Block House).

<3 Mona and Beth 5th place, I don't know why... these moms are so shady. I used to like them a lot then they turned really competitive and eww.

And I'm liking Joey and Meghan better. It's fun to watch them chill out... maybe they need to stick with the moms more.

I would rank this leg one of the top this season...

Heck, all the legs are great this season. Great teams, great dynamics, great tasks, great results. <333
