No, not Temple of Literature Pitstop. The Pitstop is at the National Museum of Vietnamese History, located right by the Hilton Hanoi (not to be confused with the Hanoi Hilton! Have been to three outdoor receptions right at the very spot where the check-in occurred.

Thanks for your input. I think it might be a slogan for a local festival though as it all translates into "Our year". The closest I can actually get to is unscrambling the nonsense "phrase" to "Ta Niėn" which is an area in Hanoi. You might be correct on more words.

Katie says that they have about a 3-4 hour lead over the back 4 or 5 teams (she doesn't know that it was an elimination leg). The first 4 teams agreed not to U-Turn each other if it's not a blind U-Turn. That way, the last 4 teams will have the U-Turns to use on each other. If it's a blind U-Turn, they decided to use the U-Turn on John & Jessica and Joey & Meghan. Max & Katie think that Joey & Meghan are sneaky and they want to break up their "little crew".

I don't believe it would directly involve taking a penalty. It would involve Wynona having to do a ROADBLOCK that she is unqualified for. That will either result in a lengthy task performance or a 4 hour penalty, which would almost certainly mean elimination.

Ultimately, however, for it to be officially defined as propaganda, it must be proven that the task was featured on the show specifically for the purpose of promoting a political ideology. I don't know that that could be proven in this case. More likely it was featured simply to reveal the culture of the country.

It was amazing that I was able to travel there on a reality tv game show, and my father was there fighting a war...needless to say I felt pretty blessed to be there under my circumstances and not his. Generational thing for sure though, as we don't have the same connotations and memories associated with the country. I'm glad to know the history of that B-52, we all felt a bit guilty for not taking a moment to pay our respects. You want to talk about strange, as I read literature in Vietnam...it was really strange to see the war referred to as the "American War". Again, I'm very fortunate to have been able to travel there under my circumstances, and not my father's.
