It's 54 km from Christchurch's airport to Rakaia town where the first route marker would be. Then 62 km up to the bridge at Rakaia Gorge where the cluebox is.

It's possible they take an ATV after the "shemozzle" Roadblock to the Mr. Bean style cars task (Detour perhaps).
