His hobby is passionate love? He finds himself sexy? Yuck. I have never heard any one across all the message boards I read ever list Brandon as a favorite. And he better not mess with Brenda. Hope she gets rid of this dolt fast.

I thought the Survivor crew do not like former contestants who ever expressed something like "I hate this game" or "this game does not fit me." When Brandon was on the Redemption Island with Ozzy, he was disappointed and said to Ozzy that the game didn't fit him.
So I'm quite surprised to see Brandon participate again.

Didn't like him or hate him on SoPa, but I didn't really need to see him back. If they really wanted to bring back someone from the Upolu tribe, I thought Albert would be a better choice as he was at least somewhat strategic. ???

Brandon seems like he has the hardest hill to climb out of all of the favourites... he was irrational at the beginning of South Pacific and then loyal to a fault at the end. He isn't that strong of a competitor nor is he a strategic player. He is too much of a wild card to keep in the game.

The funniest (actually only funny or even likeable) moment of his was when he voted for Dawn and he spelt it DON. :lol3:

I've been watching clips of him from SoPa on youtube. One moment stood out to me that made me think, wow, this guy is actually a real good guy at heart. Cochran had just flopped and voted out Keith. Jim looks at him and calls him a coward twice. Brandon from 3 stools over says: "Hey. Don't talk to him like that. And that's what you get for talking to him like that in the first place" Then as they're walking out Brandon puts his arm around him and says, "Stay close to me" I just found that so touching and mature that this 19 year old kid was comforting and standing up for a Harvard Law graduate who had been picked on and bullied for the last 3 weeks. It made me realize that this seemingly insane guy has a real good side to him as well.

But that was Brandon almost 2 years ago, he wanted to play the honest game that Russell couldn't and he tried to not even be assocoated with the Hantz name - in fact, if you remember the very first episode of SoPa, he compared being related to Russell as being related to Hitler! A pretty bold statement to make indeed, and a bit too overdramatic, but that was his mindset was, he wanted to show that not all Hantz's are bad at heart.... However, as previously mentiomed, this was almost 2 years ago, Brandon can and, as shown here, changed, and if being an aggressive player was his style of gameplay, then I respect it, but it got him nowhere but a surprise pre-jury elimination

In all seriousness, I am kinda concerned about his sanity. :( I mean most people don't say "I'm going to burn the shelter to the ground", then confess to everyone that he was sorry for thinking thoughts like that 2 minutes later and then threaten to pee in the rice 2 minutes later and then feel upset that he considered doing something so horrible 2 minutes later and then destroy the beans 2 minutes later. I'm no expect, but perhaps he should speak to someone. :hug?:

Maybe at the game, but in real life i would never go near Russell but i wouldn't mind hanging out with Brandon. It's funny cause I physically am a lot like Brandon, I'm pretty short but I'm also kinda strong for a short guy

I'm currently watching the SoPa finale. And I just can't help but be so impressed of how freaking mature this kid was back then. He was 19 years old and I would say he was easily the most mature person out there besides Dawn, who is fully grown up with a husband, kids, and a highly successful job. And I just think of the way he acted this season and I just say what the hell happened to him. I hardly ever cry during tv shows. I've never cried through a loved one visit or somebody breaking down or someone I really liked getting voted out. The ONE TIME I cried while watching Survivor was when he stood up for Cochran at Tribal Council when Keith was voted out. It was just really moving and touching that someone could say that to a fully grown man who was really expressing his total hatred for Cochran. I just really don't understand where that Brandon Hantz went.

Brandon Hantz won’t be present for the Survivor Caramoan reunion on Sunday, having apparently been told he cannot attend by CBS and/or the show’s producers. Meanwhile, Russell Hantz has threatened Phillip Sheppard, even suggesting he’ll go to jail as a result of whatever he does to Phillip.
The exclusion of a cast member from the reunion would be unprecedented in Survivor history, and it’ll be interesting to hear how Jeff Probst explains Brandon’s absence. If only CBS, Probst, or whoever made this decision had made the same decision a year ago and not cast Brandon on season 26. (That said, Russell actually makes an interesting point in one of these tweets: CBS cleared him to appear on the season, the producers left him on the beach far longer than they should have, and now they’ve decided it’s not okay?)
There was chatter about Brandon’s exclusion from the finale earlier this week, but I wasn’t able to confirm anything beyond that cast members were talking about the possibilities. In a series of tweets last night, Brandon’s uncle, Russell Hantz, confirmed it and assigned blame:
As he did in the tweet above, Russell again suggested he may appear at the finale, and pretty clearly threatened Phillip, although his writing and the pronouns in the third tweet here makes it sound like he’s retained an attorney who will bail him out after he attacks the attorney:

I saw this too and think Russell just wants the Survivor limelight again. But honestly, that means $20,000 lesser for Brandon, as that's the price that people who attend the reunion show are paid. And since he's a returnee, won't be surprise if he lost more than $20,000.

Sigh... I just want two full years without watching a Hantz on Survivor. Please. I don't want them to continue their whatever bickering to the live reunion where more people can witness the argument and shouting in reality. Maybe some tears will be shed from the castaways during the fight, like what happened with Brandon.

Unless that Mr/Ms Hantz is not like Russell (because I don't want to think all Hantz's are jerks). But so far, with Russell, Willie (BB) and Brandon, not much luck.

This ^ x1000! Between Survivor, Big Brother and that house flipping show Russell had with one of his brothers last year I think we've seen enough of the dysfunction of this family. Something tells me the difference between Brandon the first time and this time had a lot to do with the influence of his uncle. That guy is a loud, obnoxious bully with a heck of an ego to put it kindly. If he thinks for one second that CBS won't stop him from going to the finale or do whatever they can to keep him away from Philip (or any cast member) we can add delusional to that list as well. After watching this season, I think CBS needs to find someone new to do their psychological screenings. It's one thing to cast quirky, nutty people who may be annoying but are otherwise harmless. It's another thing for them to cast emotionally unstable and ill tempered people who are not in the least bit entertaining. We're talking about a roughly month long wilderness survival experience that any participant can walk away from at any time. To have people melting down left and right tells me either there is a problem with the psych screening or producers are manipulating things to the point of being abusive.

I only half agree. He wasn't evil or villainous in any way. But he was clearly having some issues... especially with Mikayla lol. :P

There were signs that he was unstable the first time around. Whatever mental health problems or internal conflicts the kid has should have given the psychologists a reason not to clear him again. Making it through the game without completely losing it the first time shouldn't have been a reason to throw him back in.

Besides the Mikayla thing, he was fine. Sticking up for Cochran, not outbursting after the merge, giving Albert immunity, being humble and thankful when he lost Redemption Island.
