Last night's episode AND last week's episode, the Pit Stop greeter said 'goodbye' to one of the teams in the country's respective language.
I don't know if producers have asked greeters to do this to make things more cultural, OR it could be a possible memory task for the final Leg ('goodbye' in every language of every country you visited on the racer), thoughts?

you heard it hear first ;)
I'm really impressed that BVM was able to get the proper permissions. IIRC only The Translator has received permits for filming on U.N. property; even Hitchcock had to film NxNW guerilla-style.

The chateau featured in the PREVIEW is Chateaux Chenonceax. I rate it the most beautiful chateau.
Here's a pic of it, almost same angle.

I think Lexi has incorrectly put Tot Ziens and Zai Jian under the Bangladeshi flag. The words under the Chinese and Indonesian flags should also be wrong. Beekman will probably do better at this, but I'm not sure about the Chips.
 no surprise, the racers are at the Chateau and Gardens of Villandry, Loire Valley, France. (the sign behind them says so... lol)
Consider the possibility that it is not Villandry you are looking at, but Chenonceau instead......

This is also the resting place of Leonardo da Vinci, who died in Amboise in 1519. Here, we also had quite the experience, witnessing the taping of next season’s The Amazing Race!
As a popular hunting venue, Cheverny has about 100 hounds!!!! It felt like an optical illusion, but was definitely a sight to see! We also ran into our friends with the Amazing Race again, so this season, look for me strolling down the gravel pathway behind the sprinting contestants!
I'm bringing up this post again: fwiw, Cheverny seems to come after Amboise.

Slowhatch,
Please read the Transportation thread re trains from Barcelona to the Loire Valley (Tours). It would be very foolish to go all the way to Paris when teams can get off in Orleans and take a train from there to Tours. The precedent for this is AR1 in France where smart teams took the shortcut to Les Baux.
I always thought that this was the Pit Stop: Chateau de Chenonceau
The Chippendales look like they are running TO the Pit Stop, by the canal/river. Notice that they don't have their packs on? If they were running to a task location, I don't think they would leave their stuff unless they're going somewhere very nearby like last night's windmill Detour. Looks like they dropped off them on the way. :duno:
Ok, here's a preliminary map of this leg:

:cmas16 good one, btw, where would Château d'Amboise (http://www.bing.com/maps/default.aspx?where1=Ch%C3%A2teau+d'Amboise&FORM=LMIEMN) fit in your map? :cmas27
Please review the last two pages to be sure you didn't miss anything!

That was easy, if you see the left side of the cap in the background, the bistro is there.
Seems like we do not see the Beekmans running out of the station with these 3 teams, is it possible that they took another train?
Here is the location where the Chips are returning to their Ford. It is on the way from Chateau de Cheverny to the Pit Stop at Chateau de Chenonceau. So the audio is taken out of context in the preview. No surprise there :cmaslol
Looks like they were stopped to get directions. :cmas16

Rachel, you're right, there's an Avis in the street between the Brasserie and the Place de la Gere. You can see the red sign on the right of the pic.

1) Chateau Villandry- Route Info/SpeedbumpThat looks right (with the cave/wine cellar thrown in the middle somewhere and the plowfield either in the middle or starting the next leg). It would be nice to get more details from the lady blogger, but you take what you get.
2) Chateau d' Amboise- Route Info, RB or Detour
3) Chateau Cheverny- Route Info, RB or Detour
4) Chateau Chenohceau- Pit Stop

Completing a Speed Bump
In this Speed Bump, Twins Natalie (center) and Nadiya (right) must make their way to the Chambre du Prince and assist the lady of the house by lacing up her corset in order to continue with the race, during the two-hour season finale of THE AMAZING RACE.
That's quite a distance from the Detour card to the task--a record, maybe? If the plowfield isn't just as far away (or the plowing a lot harder than dog food), it may turn out to be a lopsided choice.
It looks like they're having trouble finding the Fords at Tours: running one way, then the other. :cmaslol

Anybody noticed the different positions of the street tables between both pics? Maybe on purpose to make a little more difficult finding the Avis?
