That looks like a match to me. I'd been trying to find some pictures, but the Chippendales web site was loading with glacial speed. I found a few pics of the blonde one, but the pictures didn't have his name.

I guess I can give up on that now before my wife walks in and wants to know why I'm looking at pictures of Chippendale dancers.  :lol3:

I would have helped further but I had not seen any photos at that point and had nothing further to work with. But, when you hover your mouse on the individual guys' faces, you get names, and I think with the one photo of that team from last night, they would have been easily identifiable.
As to the troupe, they've been around for decades, literally, the troupe has usually toured around the US and much of the world over the years, and only opened a fixed location at the Rio in Las Vegas a few years ago. In the last year, they've started bringing in male celebrities to serve as the master of ceremonies on stage (you've heard of Jake Pavelka (The bachelor), Joey Lawrence, and Jeff Timmons (98 Degrees). So there are 11 teams accounted for, but I see only 9 pictured above.

Are the two missing teams a dark haired couple and two blonde women?

It looks like 3 M/M teams: Team Chippendale, the described Team Hippie and another pair possibly a gay male couple.
And if there is a blond female duo, they with the beautiful brown girls are the 2 F/F teams.
Leaving 6 M/F teams; and have to say that 3 of the M/F teams look like they have 'older looking' men on the teams just from the pictures.

The pic kinda looks like Jeff and jordan and I think Jeff just had or has to have arm or shoulder surgery and the guy had a bandage on his arm And Jeffs last tweet was them here in Santa Monica California house hunting so it is plausible? But just coming off surgery or has to have surgery I would think this show could easily make it worse don't know if he would risk it.Plus the show already had other teams upset that Rachel a past winner of money on show and even though its been a few years JJ could upset other teams who think they may have advantage since they are so popular.Don't know if show would do it this soon?

I came upon this Team in the bookstore at LAX.  They immediately asked if I could help them and proceeded to open a bag of chocolates they just bought.  It exploded into a spray of flying Hershey's minibars.  They wanted me to buy some the of the chocolate.

I had heard from other Teams that they had to return to their car to fetch their fanny pack.   :groan:

Later on I saw airport police talking to them about the candy sales!   :rules:

Looking more closely at the picture, it appears our double amputee racer is missing her thighs as well, where Aimee is amputated only to the knee, so I think we can rule out Aimee completely.

So here is the scoop on Team Pink. 

They are Nadine and Natalie from New York City.  They are twin sisters born in New York City.  But their family is from Sri Lanka and they were raised there.  They moved back to NYC when they were in their teens.  One is attending college to become a physical therapist and the other works for a non-profit organization with ties to Sri Lanka.

In that shot of the dark green Team dude we see a tattoo on his right arm.  That had been intentionally covered in all the time in Pasadena and LAX.  It may provide a means to ID him. :tup:

the picture of robert is from 5 years ago...so hairs may turn gray...but the shape of one's head just doesnt change.

This might sound crazy... but I am pretty sure I have seen the U of M team before (at least "tall"). I don't go to U of M (yet :lol: ), but I have been on tours and stuff.

If my memory serves me right, however, I saw them somewher else, possibly at a U of M football prty of some sort (at someone's house).

They could be professors, but I don't think they are. If anything, they're probably (at least in my opinion) grads.

I will look through a few Facebook networks tomorrow and tell you what I can find. :tup:

I'm actually divided. My mom's MSU, my dad's U of M. I'm somewhere in the middle, and I always get dragged around to both. :lol:

I probably should have post the post in this thread, but the "goat farmers" if they've been correctly identified (and I do think that they have) are engaged to be married (as residents of New York state where same sex marriage became legal in 2011.) So there's a good chance the show may use the tag "engaged." In addition to another season of their show The Fabulous Beekman Boys that will be aired later this year on cable, the engagement in December was filmed for the next season of The Real Housewives of New York, so these guys are totally reality show nerds. Don't know if the producers will play up the goat farmers (or herders, more accurately) or not.

Curious if these 2 looked like brothers or even twins to anyone else. Both pictures look like they have very similar builds (quite slim) and looking at the eyes and nose in the second picture they look like they could be related.

See thats what I thought. He's built like a football player. But those shorts can easily be bought by a fan of the team. If someone could pin down a year to look at I could at least try and google the list of names on the year's roster and see what I come up with.

Looks like her. I found a 2012 roster in which she is listed as "Lexy" which coincides with what her boyfriend or brother was calling her in Indonesia.

Sometimes a player is held out of spring practices for various reasons that are not announced; but the more important thing is that for Division 1A teams (such as U Texas, spring practices would have already ended a few weeks ago. So I wouldn't rule out the possibility. The primary sport that hasn't finished in NCAA Division 1A is baseball (men') and softball (women's), the opening regional playoffs for the College World Series for both starts this weekend. Texas is not in either,

Just so you know...the university athletic programs often do not update photos from their player rosters every year. So I can see how the hair would be that much longer in the photos from LAX. Since Chateau, you were there, I'd trust your memory  as much as the photo comparisons. (Trey still has one year of eligibility left for football, apparently, as well.)

I think this photo is the clincher, IMHO. this Lexi's nose is a match for the racer in the LAX photos and video. And if it is Trey, he's is a benchwarmer (scout team players are often walk-ons who aren't on scholarship or make the travel roster unless there are a lot of injuries in the position played), and he's been on the scout team for three years. He might make the regular depth chart if he returns for a fourth season; but roster management in college football is so complicated I'm not even going to try to explain it.) But, this would be a first for TAR, a boyfriend-girlfriend team of college athletes. (And yes, cheerleading is considered a sport -- Ask TAR 3's Andrew.)

Ok.  I take amazinglatinoamericafan post that the twins are Natalie & Nadiya, and I found this couple of things:

First:

They are Nadine and Natalie from New York City.  They are twin sisters born in New York City.  But their family is from Sri Lanka and they were raised there.  They moved back to NYC when they were in their teens.  One is attending college to become a physical therapist and the other works for a non-profit organization with ties to Sri Lanka.

Ryan Danz has a degree in economics from UC Davis, and a law degree from California Western School of Law. He is the owner/founder of a financial service company in California.

Most interestingly, as a new law school graduate, Ryan was a contestant in NBC's reality show The Apprentice:Martha Stewart (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Apprentice:_Martha_Stewart) which aired in the fall of 2005 for a one season run. He was eliminated in Week 11, just prior to the final interviews and challenge. His appearance on TAR 21 may represent the first cross-over from a competing network's reality show.

But based on everything we have so far, this looks like an attractive, strong and competitive team, so perhaps casting decided that an appearance 7 years ago in a short lived show was not a major issue. I have a feeling we are going to like this team! Anyone who can cheerfully do a Tide-to-Go skit dressed as a VIVIDLY orange spandex clad detergent action hero, on a major NYC thoroughfare, has to have a great sense of humor!   :lol:

One more interesting bit of trivia:

From the Beekman reveal (http://forum.realityfanforum.com/index.php/topic,27200.msg758567.html#msg758567), I also found that Brent Ridge was the VP for Healthy Living at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia from June 2006 to August 2008. Which was less than 6 months after Ryan was a contestant. Small world, right? While it is unlikely that Ryan would be aware of that bit of history on meeting Brent, it is vaguely possible that Brent may have recognized Ryan. 2 Degrees of Separation!!

I did a little bit of googling, and I found that I did remember Ryan from his TA:MS season; not well, but I did remember having a favorable impression of him from that show. Martha used a lot of her company in setting up the tasks for her season, so it's possible Brent might have recognized Ryan more easily from that time than the other way around.

Of the teams, we've heard comments about the teams from "bystanders," it seems as if CBS has continued its recent trend of finding good, competitive teams and staying away from casting-induced melodrama. It may be premature to reach any conclusions until we learn more about all of thie teams, but it is a promising sign.

If you're looking for a jockey, try looking into guys racing out of Northville Downs. It's the closest one to Ann Arbor.

It's not the type of jockeying you're thinking of though...I think all of the horseracing tracks around here are all harness racing.

Adding some more info on James and Abba!!

I know less than nothing about this kind of music...but James Lomenzo is a serious musician who has played with some very major bands.

He is currently managing the band HAIL!, which is a cover band of rotating musicians who do worldwide tours featuring the classics of Heavy Metal music. James is the bass guitarist on many of the tours.

That's a lot of information for James & Abba! Incredible work, guys!

Now, that would make it 3 James (or Jaymes), so it would make it compulsory to use nicknames and set them apart. Perhaps Jay for one of the Chippendales? And... JLo (Wikipedia says that is his nickname) xD for LoMenzo? That would make them JLo and Abba? Wouldn't that be hilarious?

I think we're good without any nicknames. But thats just me. Jaymes/James are one team and adding another one in on a different team with long hair doesn't make it to hard to tell which one.

Hopefully, them and the biker couple don't go out one after the other.

Re: nicknames, I think it's only gonna work if people are willing to use them, or if someone establishes a nickname for the 3 Ja(y)mes and others follow. For me, I think I'll call them James, Ga(y)mes (I believe I got those two right), and Jamie from the Block. :lol:

As far as the show goes, they've managed having three "Daves" one season on three different teams, and three "Steves" on another, so I think we'll manage with the two James and one Jaymes, especially since two of the three make up one of the teams.

Trey Weir and Lexi Beerman

Both recent grads of University of Texas. He had a very successful career as the Deep Snapper during his time at UT. Lexi was a member of the famed Pom Squad. They have been dating for several years. They are not engaged.

I put up a couple of links a while back while they were racing, but I'm going to go ahead and paste some details about Amy Purdy and Daniel Gale in this thread.   

From an ABC news article, March 2012:
Her boyfriend, Daniel Gale, was awestruck from the first day he met her back in 2002. He was smitten by her looks and impressed with her snowboarding prowess. He hadn't the vaguest clue that she had prosthetic legs.

"I think my reaction, I tried to keep it a little bit mellow so as not to be overly shocked, because at that point, there was already an attraction," he said. "Then she pulled up the other pant leg, not that that swayed me either but it was just, I was just like wow, this is even more -- she's even more incredible."

For Purdy, the attraction was mutual.

"I was actually surprised that he was so mellow about it, because I was used to people saying, 'Oh, my gosh, what happened?' or 'Whoa, I've never seen that,' or, 'Is that carbon fiber?' or something like that, and he was so mellow, he was just like, 'Awesome,'" she said.

Together, the couple made another dream of Purdy's come true by bringing adaptive snowboarding to the Winter X-Games seven years ago. Their next mission is to get the sport into the Paralympics. [The committee announced in May that the sport will be included in 2014.]

Amy Purdy's incredible story and abilities have earned her wide acclaim. Madonna asked her to appear in a music video that was later shelved, Motley Crue used her in a photo shoot, and she had a prominent role in the film "What's Bugging Seth?" And when Purdy is not busy on the snowboard, she is often skateboarding, wakeboarding or working on launching her own clothing line, Live Learn Grow.

Purdy has made a life's purpose of sharing her message of triumph with the world through motivational speaking. She recently gave a highly-acclaimed TED talk.

"Our biggest disability is our, up here," Purdy said, pointing to her head. "This is where we limit ourselves."

Daniel Gale and Amy Purdy founded Adaptive Action Sports in 2005 to help create opportunities for individuals with physical disabilities to get involved in skateboarding and snowboarding and all action sports. At the time there were limited resources for those of us who skate and snowboard and have some sort of physical disability. AAS was the first organization of its kind  to focus on bringing these types of sports to the disabled community.

Daniel Gale is the current Executive Director. He also is a Sports Organizer for ESPN and the Summer X Games organizing the Adaptive Moto X Race, the Adaptive Skateboardpark Jam, Adaptive Snocross and the Adaptive Snowboarder X. He is a competitive snowboarder, avid skateboarder and all around board sports enthusiast.  It was his partner, Amy Purdy's struggle to achieve her action sports goals despite her "dis"ability that inspired them to create Adaptive Action Sports.   

Amy Purdy was an artist and board sport enthusiast as well growing up. Her goal was to spend a few years traveling the world and snowboarding when suddenly at the age of 19 her life changed forever. After a day of flu like symptoms Amy was rushed to the hospital in a state of septic shock and diagnosed with Bacterial Meningitis, a deadly blood infection. Amy fought for her life for nearly 3 months leaving the hospital a completely different person physically, mentally and spiritually. Amy loss both her legs below the knee and all kidney function but it didn't stop her from following her dreams. Amy is now a medaled snowboarder, actress, tv host, public speaker and Advocate for Element Skateboards.

Gary Wojnar is from Livonia, Michigan and is our taller teammate. Will Chiola (53) from Dearborn Heights, Michigan is our shorter teammate. Will is a marathon runner and has competed in marathons across America over the past decade. Both Gary & Will appear to be avid cyclists (just like Phil! :lol:) and are involved in the Wish-A-Mile Bicycle Tour for the Make-A-Wish Michigan organization. Gary is on the left of all these photos, Will on the right.

Always possible it got them noticed, but given the current casting practices my guess would be they wanted the Lumberjack thing and the fan base it involves, not the connection itself.

Survivor premieres on September 19th this time around, and that's a month from today, In the past CBS has usually starting releasing casts about 3-4 weeks ahead of premieres, which in Survivor's case would be the last week of August or just after Labor Day (which is September 3rd this year.) For TAR that time frame would be around that same weekend (September 1-2-3) or that week following that weekend.
But with the political party conventions coming as late as I've ever seen (August 27-30), (September 3-5) and with the Olympics having been later than average (running into August 3) and with most of the new shows and new seasons premiering between the 24th and 39th, it's hard to be sure if they'll start announcing casts for Survivor and TAR as far ahead as normal. But I agree that Survivor will be first, and TAR is likely to be about 10 days later.

With this coming weekend being a three-day holiday weekend in the U.S., and with the heavy news week in the U.S. due to a national party convention and a hurricane threat to the central Gulf coast (in the area where Katrina hit seven years ago), my guess is not before this weekend, being the opening weekend of the college (American) football season, and probably on Tuesday of next week after the holiday and when virtually all students will be back home and in class.

I could be wrong too, but, CBS definitely does not want to waste promotion time if no one is paying attention.

The cast reveal for TAR 19 was on Tuesday August 30th and the season premiere was on  Sunday September 25th - so the cast reveal was 26 days before the premiere.

So if they follow the same rule for TAR 21 with a premiere date of September 30th - there won't be a reveal until next week.

Unless, of course, the rule is to reveal on the Tuesday before Labour Day - which would mean its today!!!

I hadn't realized it until I looked over the cast list, but most of them are over 30. I'm just guessing, but this may be one of the oldest group of contestants for any TAR season.
