Sydney twins Michelle and Jo will contest The Amazing Race Australia THE reality TV race is testing the endurance levels of some viewers (and TV critics).
Now Channel 7 is bringing out its secret weapons in the shape of sexy and super fit cheerleading twins from Sydney.
Meet Michelle and Jo Troy, sisters who take on the world in the second series of The Amazing Race Australia, expected to return to Seven next month.
The 26-year-olds have experience entertaining crowds as part of the Flames cheerleading squad for the St George Illawarra Dragons.
The twins said their TV challenge had been daunting.
"It's about endurance," Jo, the 2011 Cheer Girl Of The Year, said.

THEY look alike, drive the same car, work as ground staff for an airline together and finish each other’s sentences.
“We’ve got the travel side of things sorted through our knowledge from work,” Michelle said.
“Plus we’re fit from the dancing. We’re competitive. We’ve competed in surf lifesaving championships,” Jo adds.
Despite growning up on the Northern Beaches, their father brought them up as passionate fans of St George Dragons, who they cheer for today.
“We communicate well. We know what the other one’s thinking. We’re in with a really strong chance,” Michelle said.

Even though the twins recently didn’t speak to each other for nearly two years - Michelle didn’t approve of Jo’s boyfriend at the time - they have now reconciled and are mostly looking forward to being with each other 24/7 on the race.
“But I’m hoping there’ll be no major blow ups otherwise we’ll be in trouble!” says Michelle.
For girls whose ideal overseas trip involves “the beach and sunbaking”, how do they think they’ll cope with the challenges?
“We’re good with puzzles and we think we’ve got common sense,” says Michelle. “And when it comes to strength I’m sure we can push ourselves.”

I like them so far. They started off well, but the eating task though is a difficult thing for most people so that set them back. Being cheeleaders I really thought they could do the dance task though. They switched but still came out of that detour not in last I think.

Not getting the 'super cute' thing yet but then I'm not a guy so. :lol3:
Still if they keep kicking Paul's butt at challenges I vote they stick around for a while! :lol:

Looks like they are great in navigation, their charm will give them a big advantage especially when they are talking with the locals, being airport attendant might give them advantages when looking earlier flights. Im just worried when it comes too RB and Detours. obviously, they are toast when it comes with eating challenges. I'm pretty impressed for their last task on Leg 1 performance.

Their portion in the intro is pretty epic. A little confetti makes a huge difference.

Those judges on Jig task in Philly are too high on setting the standard, they were look awesome that day with smile and everything, and I expect we could see more of them dancing bollywood at the unseen footage on the website.. :hrt:

They're continuing to impress. My call for an early boot just may have been wrong for these two. They may seem like ditzy blondes on the outside but make no mistake, they are here to play.

they are the 2nd highest avergae placing among the team after Sticky and Sam. :<3 im hoping they could win next round. i might say they never had any navigational problems at all. they are almost first most of the time in their destinations.

Well, last night I was packing my bag for Melbourne, and Dad said "we're flying Jetstar", and I remembered that Michelle and Jo work for Jetstar. But I didn't want to get my hopes up in case they weren't there. And what are the odds? At 6am in the morning, Sydney Domestic Airport, Jo HERSELF directed us to the check in counter! She was happy to take a few pics with me (I look terrible in the photo, please ignore)

She was SO NICE! I told her I watch the show religiously and then we started talking about Episode 6. And then of course my mum just had to chime in and ask her questions about what she does for Jetstar :res:
Anyway she asked me "do you like Paul?", and of course I said no and I asked her about the Yield and blah blah blah, she said she didn't want to risk waiting for Sticky and Sam at the Intersection in case the boys decided to pair up with Steve and Paul. She also told me she cracked up at watching herself do the Whirling Dervish challenge, but when she actaully did she said it she felt ill and it was WAY harder than it looked. She asked me who my favourites were and who I didn't wan to see win. And then we had to check in for our flights... :(
I would've asked her questions all day if I could
She then told me Michelle would be around the airport somewhere. When I got onto my plane we were sitting and waiting to take off when Michelle ran onto the plane, check something at the back then ran off!
It is IMPOSSIBLE to miss the girls' platinum blonde hair :lol:
Anyway that was my first encounter with a racer, and I was lucky to meet her, she was so sweet! Michelle and Jo are officially my favourite team now! :lol: :hearts:
P.S. neither Michelle or Jo look NOTHING like their cast release photo, they're much prettier :)

I just found out that Michelle and Jo's overall average placement is 2.92, they are tied with the Beauty queens on the highest average placement for a female/female team ever.
If they had managed to get a higher placement on one leg, any leg, of just one position, they would be the best performing female/female team in the history of the Amazing Race

The twins are my favourite FF of all time. I supported them from the beginning, but I grew to love them more and more each episode.
Not only did they race competitively , intelligently, but with consistency and at most times with a sense of humour. They did this every Leg except the final one :lol:
I'm not sure if I'm the only one but I immensly enjoyed watching them race around the world. At times they provided some great entertainment. I wish them all the best for the future.

Did anyone else notice that before the race had started they used a passport drama involving the twins that never came to air? every week i thought it would pop up in the next episode for sure and then we got to the finale and it still hadn't happened! the clip was something along the lines of
Announcer: "How many passports does it take to race around the world?"
Twins confessional: " Two"
Michelle/Jo to Jo/Michelle in an airport: "I can't believe you lost your passport!"
I'm sure there's a video of this preview somewhere... Maybe it was just an anticlimatic non drama

the biginning promo was cut out of the episode but it was exactlysure if i can say too much about it cos it didnt air. we missed placed a passport but where lucky it was a matter of retacing our steps! that first promo was to make us look dumb??
