Episode 4 (Turin, Italy): Taste Your Salami
(http://i1150.photobucket.com/albums/o616/prama4/bnnbgfn.png)
I think the helicopter task with Art/JJ is in the dome of the Oval Lingotto Olympic Stadium (http://honeymoons.about.com/od/italy/ss/turin_pictures_8.htm) (former Fiat Factory) in Turin.
eta Which is interesting, since the RB is also at Lingotto (http://forum.realityfanforum.com/index.php/topic,26886.msg716233.html#msg716233). It leads me to believe that one of the two 'paired' tasks (the painting or the helicopter) isn't a Detour option, since if they both were it would be fairly imbalanced (unless the helicopter task was ridiculously hard).
The one question I've got right now is how the Museo d'ell automobile fits in. Maybe where they get their product-placed cars?

im also curious to where this food challenge is about??
so far this is what we know will be involved in the episode
helicopter
rappel down carpark
food challenge ?
paint statue
automobile museum
- we know from evidence that Art and J.J. win Leg 4
Eating challenge most-likely in roadblock form...
Anyone can determine the place/stadium that Brenchel's at?
It looks round.. And is that a canadian flag?
I believe it's not the Italia61, where it used for the winter olympics?
I worked in a remote control helicopter shop and help repair the broken parts...Do you recognize the brand of helo/controller?
Oh...I was thinking a car breakdown, :res:
The girl needs some caffeine.

i AM confident with this speculation, but my only setback is that the FF seems kind of easy/crappy
please tell me what you think of this
Turin is home to the famous Shroud of Turin. More recently, it has become the home of the Slow Food Movement.
Hope we see a lot of pasta and meatballs.
So happy that they gonna have a food challenge in Italy, just hope we gonna see a beer task in Bavaria in leg 5. :keeta: :hrt: :keeta:
everyone should pay attention to the most important question...will joey and whoever come in last?

Yes i know what the episode title says. The other things was just possibilities what it also could been. We have seen pizza in season 6, so i would like to see pasta and meatballs with the salami! Hope you understand what i`am trying to say? :duno:Turin is home to the famous Shroud of Turin. More recently, it has become the home of the Slow Food Movement.

Now, with an episode title of "Taste Your Salami", do you think there might be any foreshadowing of what the Italian food being eaten is?

Do we know if The Teatro Regio ('Royal Theatre'), is featured in this leg??
i am GUARANTEED the helicopter task is a FF :jam:
but I'm still curious to find out what the salami task is :duno:
Just a question. I like the Mission Impossible promo very much. :hearts: :hearts:Do we know if The Teatro Regio ('Royal Theatre'), is featured in this leg??
I don't think so, why? ???
That preview makes me think the salami is an Active RI
Is this the same preview as posted I can't check it TAR CBS hates Canadians :'(

The episode looks promising already :hearts:
And how do you guys know there's an FF for this leg. The helicopter task could probly be the other detour.

And I am wondering about the cost of building that "landing site". It may be very expensive...which would also argue for a FF task.'
Then again, we believe ARt and JJ win this leg,so one assumes if this IS a FF, they ace it.
The pic's above of the cousin's , that look's like an engine, Maybe the detour is to reassemble an engine and the salami, I think B/R start the salami task and then switch. I'm probably waaaaay off about the reassemble , but I do believe the salami is part of a detour and B/R switch. I also agree that Art/JJ are doing the FF.
The task in museum maybe RI task since I saw stacy holding a "Route Info"clue...I think detour should be statue or salami...The pic's above of the cousin's , that look's like an engine, Maybe the detour is to reassemble an engine and the salami, I think B/R start the salami task and then switch. The switching is a good idea because their argument could start at the salami because Rachel doesn't want to do it or something. Then when they show up outside the museum we see them still arguing. Maybe the roadblock is first this time because it is at the same location as the FF.
 just wondering if the "food task" might be eating "Carne Equina", a delicacy in this and other parts of Europe. :lol3: Rachel looks like she may be shopping for some type of meat.
BTW, "Carne Equina" = Horse Meat :iok
She's holding something that looks like a puzzle piece or half of a clue card, with letters and pictures (a rebus?) I've enlarged it and flipped it rightside-up.
Thanks. So, what's left...the deli?

We don't know for a fact that there is a Fast Forward, and I wish people wouldn't post it as such without actual evidence (such as an image of a Fast Forward clue.) For all we know the helicopter thing is one side of a detour that no other team took.
Ok,so now we're sure about the Fast Forward...
Ok,so now we're sure about the Fast Forward...
No, we're not. That is a roadblock clue envelope in Mark and Bopper's hands.
If there is a fast forward, you wouldn't need to complete any other tasks on the leg. And they're looking at the roadblock clue. And there's no hint of a green tinged envelope or clue page in their hands.

That's because it's Art & J.J who we're speculating went for the FF not Mark and Bopper ;)
so far the specs are :
1. Fly to Turin, Italy (Caselle Aeroporto, Torino, Italy)
2. FF: Oval Lingotto, successfully land copper on top of their partner's head.
3. RI: The Museo dell'Automobile, there are 2 speculations :
- They've given that museum logo at the Pit Start and find the place related to the logo. Once they find them, the clues were put somewhere in that machine (as the replacement of cluebox) or they need to find/match the museum logo somewhere on that machine..
4. RB: Lingotto, retrieve clues at the bottom of the building by repelling down.
5. RI: Unknown
6. DT:
A. Statue Cleaning (Location: In front of workshop, still Unknown)
B. Salami Tasting (taste & match, Location1: Deli Shop, Unknown --> Location2: Piazza Vittorio Veneto Square)
7. Pit Stop : Piazza Castello, Palazzo Madama.

I am going to support this hypothesis based on the information in the AR20 Transportation thread showing them as the only team with the possibility of getting ahead by catching a very early flight Asuncion to Sao Paulo, connecting to Rome and into Turin. It depend on when they finished leg 3, but if they did so by 230pm they could be released around 230am. No other team had the opportunity to catch that first flight and all the connections flow from that..
Are we sure that this is Taste and Match? :duno:
Is it just me, or does this seem like a non-elimination leg?

[quote ]Yes, we think it must be NEL
We have reports from the mat that production packed up after seeing Mark and Bopper check in at 10PM. But they have been sighted in future legs so.....

We see Art and JJ AND Bopper and Mark at an airport in Argentina though, per previews.

Until CBS in the press releases, in the photos, or in the promos shows something that directly and explicitly proves there is a fast forward, then you're making an assumption.
I have a rule that I have followed where TAR is concerned, and in a lot of other ways as well... Assumptions are dangerous.

Actually, I think we see Art and JJ and Bopper and Mark at the airport in Ascuncion.
This is how I think it plays out:
Teams are released from the pit stop and directed to a specific travel agent to purchase tickets
Travel agent does not open until 8am
Teams meet at the Ascuncion airport - Bopper and Mark talk to Art and JJ and realize they got the wrong tickets and have to go back to the travel agent. They get stuck in traffic or there are no seats left on the earliest flight.
All of the teams other than Mark and Bopper (aka Mopper) are on ASU EZE G37470 1205 1355 which puts Mopper 3 hours behind in Turin.
I think it will be a total waste of a FAST FORWARD if it falls on a NEL leg. Why would World Race Productions/CBS do that?
Going to look for rock star posters at AsuncionASU it is. Compare the tan bench seats, ventilation louvers, ceiling work and the two counters (Sol del Paraguay right next to Taca) with the photos on this page (http://www.aeropuertosarg.com.ar/losforos/index.php?topic=21598.0;all).

Conversation related to upcoming future legs has been moved over here to speculation:
http://forum.realityfanforum.com/index.php/topic,26411.0/topicseen.html
This leg does not have to be an NEL. The fact that production left after Mark & Bopper checked in just means that they did not expect any more teams to appear there relatively soon.
There could be some team which was stuck on the leg so Phil had to do an on-the spot elimination. They could be lost or waiting out a did-not-finish-task penalty, or even stuck at an hours of operation.
It is also possible that some team had bad luck with the flights so they got stuck way behind.
All that said I still would not be surprised if this leg was a NEL.
brendon and rachel did not quit.

Shadowman <333
So what makes them check in after dark? :duno: Struggling at a task perhaps?
My research to find a city in the U.S. at the far western edge of its time zone which might have a relatively late sunset basically failed. I tried a number of different alternatives but even Escanaba on the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and El Paso failed to get any later than around 5pm on that date.
now i know i might be WAY out of line but I'm SPECULATING that the helicopter task might be a FAST FORWARD
i know it seems ages since we last had a FF but i think this season will bring it back
but i have my reasons:
- we know Art and J.J. won Leg 3, and they might have a huge lead over the other teams
- we know from evidence that Art and J.J. win Leg 4
- if they arrive first in Italy, they might take the option of the FF, even if they screw it, the roadblock should be close to it (FF and RB at Lingotto)
- the place they are performing this helicopter task opposite a helipad looks quite small, and if it was the place of a Detour/Route Info/Roadblock, i wouldn't imagine all 8 teams performing the task in there
- if they won the fast forward it would explain their 1st place win in Italy and i would think if they didn't do it, other teams would beat them in the regular challenges
i AM confident with this speculation, but my only setback is that the FF seems kind of easy/crappy
please tell me what you think of this

I WAS RIGHT!!! yay :yess:
Crappy FF, but did I see more than one set of "helicopter tools" there? That means whoever wants to do the FF can try for the FF right? Or is it just me? If everyone can attempt the FF then it's worth it.
I gained nothing about Italy from this episode. It just went from the best to the worst episode. :gaah:
Who was the greeter for the pit stop? I think it was a famous Italian F1 driver, but I can't recall his name.
I was trying to find an updated timeline (and I do appreciate that there has been a lot of information and I'm not implying that anyone has dropped the ball) but I was curious as to whether the Asuncion pit stop was short (less than 12 hours) or long (over 24 hours).chill_sd,
