Title: If you had a chance to add a twist to Survivor what would it be
Post by: theamazingracer21 on December 27, 2011, 03:38:15 AM
If you were given the chance to change one of the most popular relarty shows in the world how would you change it. If you think it put it here

I would make it so that contestents compeat in a pair (like the amazing race). simple tribe are made up of 6 pairs (if the game starts with 2 tribes) or 4 pairs ( if the game starts with 3 tribes). Pairs get 1 vote each at tribal and contestents get the eliminated as a pair.

Other than that the games renames the same.

Great thread! :cmas16

I have a certain twist in mind, but I am going to use it in my new Survivor Fantasy Game, so I am not going to reveal it here! :cmas27

Survivor 25: Many Worlds :cmaslol

Every 2 tribal councils there will be a random tribal switch by picking stones, so that each tribe will always have even numbers, 18 > 16 > 14... all the way till the final 12, where the jury starts BUT they remain to stay on the same island but in TWO tribes until the final 10.

^^ So that it's really not about the numbers but how you manipulate people and survive even with so many tribal switches! :cmaslol

They should bring back the Outcasts twist to replace Redemption Island and the Mutiny twist.

I think the best "twist" of Survivor they had was Fans VS Favourites... it was a GREAT GREAT season.

Also, just thought of something completely random, and I don't particularly like my own idea :cmaslol but I thought it was quite funny: Everyone has 1 Hidden Immunity Idol from the beginning. Can you just imagine 7 people standing up in one go. :lol3:

Like I said, not a particularly great idea, but it would be quite funny!

It's like everyone has the chance of a FF. OMG. Actually, it will be pretty epic. Like, you may use it at any Tribal Councils up till the F5...

BUT, don't think it'll work! :cmaslol

Merge at like Final 16(20 person season) then at final 12 go back to 2 tribes and go merge again at final 8 or something :cmaslol

I've wanted that to happen for SO long!

A twist I would have is there is no Jeff for 3 days. The contestants divide themselves into tribes, and they hold an impromptu challenge and TC.

My idea: any person who gives up his immunity necklace has the right to vote twice in this tribal council, and these two votes don't need to refer to one specific person.

That's a great idea, SuperTux! :cmas9 It would be such a huge twist! :cmas16 And perhaps we'd see a lot more giving up of Immunity! :cmas5

How about having one or two NETC's? Non-Elimination Tribal Councils? It would really put the castaways off guard!

Especially if they did not know it was going to be a NEL until after the votes. Then they would see who would have been voted off.

Jeff: Last vote, Russell, however this is a non elimination so he is safe

What a cool twist!

Imagine wasting 1 (or more) idols at a Non-Elimination Tribal Council! :groan: :groan: :groan: :lol3: :lol3: :lol3:

I think the Non-elimination would have been pointless, unless it was meant for a blindside and then the person got wind of it and uses his Idol next.. otherwise it needs luck+careful planning for it to actually work.

I'm actually interested to see a Heroes VS Villians 2 but I hope they invite back more memorable contestants this time. Danielle, Courtney, Candice did nothing the first time round so we shouldn't see people like them coming back again.

I wanna see a Heroes VS Villians with 10 vs 10... then within the first episode, they mix them up into two tribes again to make things more interesting... like a Villian had to pick a hero, a hero had to pick a villian.. and they form 2 tribes with 5 Heroes and 5 Villians on each side.. then we'll see if the Heroes/Villians stick to themselves or do one person jump ship and cause backstabbing.. that can be good drama!!! Especially if there are IDOLS.. right on the first episode!

I like this idea, Joab! And if Russell comes back, there will definitely be idols on the first episode! :lol3:

I would like NaOnka on the Villains tribe, but since she quit last time, I doubt she'd want to come back! I'd also love to have Phillip Sheppard, but which tribe would he be on?

Philip is a villian.

I think the best seasons come from those where tribe swaps happened... (Gabon, Cook Islands, Fans VS Favourites)

Of course Heroes VS Villians was an exception.

I like the non elimination tribal but i think it will only work in the meraged stage of the game.

What about this for a twist: The tribe is show the tape of the voting ,so they see who voted for who.

That could work well, actually. But most of the time it is pretty obvious who voted for who, but sometimes this could change the game significantly. Not a bad idea at all!

No actually racer, they do not know who voted for who. It is a bad idea. It makes Survivor pointless.

This isn't a twist, but I'd love to see Survivor go to Madagascar, the Caspian Aral Sea or Socotra.

Well on some seasons (like South Pacific) it was pretty obvious who voted for who at all of the votes except for Elyse, Keith and perhaps Rick.

However, after watching most of Micronesia, I have to agree that in that season, they wouldn't have known at all. I guess I only thought that they would know who voted for who as I have only seen the recent seasons. :duno:
