Love Brenchel? Hate Brenchel? Love the Route? Hate the Route?
Feel free to bitch, moan and squeal for joy right here!!
Just remember to respect each other....
-
GO BRENCHEL!!! :luvya: :hrt: :jumpy: :neener:
-
Kind of super extremely and shamefully excited that Brenden/Rachel are on TAR next season.
-
NOBODY GETS BETWEEN ME AND MY PIT STOP
-
:gaah: )-** :pull :ugot :faint: :whoop: :helpme :dick :killme:
-
Rachel could be helpful in the event of a water evacuation! FLOATERS! GRAB A LIFE VEST!
-
I'm looking forward to seeing this dynamic. If it is USA-Paraguay for the first leg then it looks like we are in for some great new locales. South America being the first pitstop will be a welcome return as we haven't seen that for a while! StephenWasHere, you made me lol @ your comment. And shamefully excited to see Rachel's famed "fake-boobies" grace the TAR screen, tank tops FTW :P
-

-
:neener: Michael, long-time-no-hear, how are you doing? :keeta: As I say, shamefully excited :jam: But have you been tuning in to the 19th series? Are you not a fan of this current season? :duno:
-
I'm not fan of BRENCHEL!!! but I'm not watching Big Brother.
-
I found this on Facebook, posted it in the Spec. thread, and can't stop laughing.
"Buh-rennan we need to get on the plane before all these fuh-loaters do!"
Dunno why I find this so entertaining....
-
Never watched BBUS, but she seems like the type of person I would go for. :hearts:
-

This as well. :hearts:
-
Yay! Very excited for Rachel and Brendon (Rachel, more than Brendon).
I think they'd actually do really well and would be different from their BB personalities where they really do play up to the camera. They're competitive and athletic. Plus they can bring drama and hilarity. That's a perfect combo right there! TAR is a completely different monster than BB and they both know that they actually have to be serious and compete to make it far in the Race. There won't be any magic wizard powers here.
-
What I want to say about Brendon/Rachel being on TAR20 is probably not allowed, so I'm going to do this in emoticon form.
:haha :noway: :rfth: :nono2:
And that's how I'm feeling right now.
-

Because it's funny as heck! OMG :lol3: Sounds just like her! Not looking forward to the drama at all! :iok
-
Found "Rachel" in all vision won amazing race (S12,CR1)...but...maybe this season will have a "Tyler"
-
I do not like the fact they have got their shot of fame but getting a second shot at it. But i'll keep the hate/love neutral first until I actually see them race.
One thing we know for sure, REALITY TV stars who previously appeared on another CBS show then come onto the race WON'T WIN. (Dom El will be interested in this)
Allison... Jordan and Jeff... Rob and Amber (lost TWICE!)... :wohoo:
-
Besides Rob and Amber, who I knew from survivor, all the others where complete strangers for me, as is Brenchel, so I don't mind them that much.
But I have to say this I will always remember Jordan and Jeff because of one phrase: "We really shouldn't procreate" that jeff said after a moment of stupidity. I still laugh when I remember it.
-
:lol3: One of the best TAR episodes of all time "Run Like Scalded Dogs!"
-
Allison... Jordan and Jeff... Rob and Amber (lost TWICE!)... :wohoo:
To be fair though, they made it the farthest out of any of them.
-
We've all digressed.
Whoooo I already like the all-female team already.
-

Brenchel are complete strangers for me as well, but if they are anything like Jordan & Jeff, they will be great.
I don't mind "recruiting" teams. Some of the most loveable teams of recent seasons are probably "recruited", such as Amani & Marcus. Compare that to some really awful "normal, regular people" teams that we have had and it's a no-brainer which one I'd take.
As I have no idea about Brenchel, I will not make any judgments until the race airs.
By the way, I don't want to digress further, but speaking of Jordan & Jeff, my favourite moment was when Jordan was eating the French baguette and attempting to talk at the same time, and at the bottom of the screen, it said "? ? ? ? ? ?" :lol3: :lol3: :lol3:
-
Whoooo I already like the all-female team already.
Agreed! :lol3: I don't understand why I (and many others) always support the all-females, even before I even know their names! :lol3:

Well apart from Carol & Brandy most of them have been hot!
-
This thread is just too much :funny:
-
Here's my bitch/moan/squeal: I'm absolutely hating that the only thing we know and have to talk about right now is the identity of one particular team, and its just another couple of Z-List celebrities that will probably end up with way too much airtime!
-
Not particularly happy about Argentina again... right now it is tied with Italy and Vietnam for sixth most number of legs. If there's one leg there this season it will tie France and Brazil, if there are two legs there it will tie Russia and Australia for fourth most number of legs, Only behind China, Thailand, and India of course.
Hopefully there will be some great tasks and new locations within Argentina. It is a big country afterall.
-
Paraguay! <3333333333333333333333333333333333

Paraguay! <3333333333333333333333333333333333
Way overdue! :hearts: :hearts:
-
:lol3: I can't believe Asuncion was true after all.
-
I'm just happy that so far it looks as tho I'm 3/3 with my predicted TAR 20 route :hearts:
Here's my two cents:
Leg 1: New York City, U.S.A. to Buenos Aires, Argentina
Leg 2: Buenos Aires to North-West Argentina
Leg 3: Salta, Argentina to Asuncion, Paraguay
Leg 4: Paraguay to Rome, Italy to Vatican City
Leg 5: Rome to Pompeii/Naples/Capri, Italy
Leg 6: Naples, Italy to Riga, Latvia
Leg 7a: Riga, Latvia to Nairobi, Kenya
Leg 7b: Kenya
Leg 8: Nairobi, Kenya to Male, Maldives
Leg 9: Male, Maldives to Christchurch, New Zealand
Leg 10: Christchurch, New Zealand to Chengdu, China
Leg 11: Sichuan, China
Leg 12: Chengdu, China to Vancouver, Canada to Seattle, U.S.A.
Note: I took out a lot of details (why I thought TPTB would/should go to these locations and so on and so forth (aka extra, unneeded info for this post)
Just switch Leg 1 and 2 around and we have our current SPECULATED route (I did get the starting line wrong tho, was too hopeful for a throwback start I guess... :( )
I doubt the entire route will come true, but I think a couple of those places are likely/overdue for a visit
-
David Jr.:
My first comment is that you have misplaced the above post in this thread. it really belongs in AR20 Wish Lists.
Second, one of your legs involves huge backtracking of many thousands of miles (a minimum through connections of 7692 miles). Why didn't you position your Chengdu legs before Christchurch rather than afterwards? It's much easier to fly Christchurch to Auckland to YVR (3 nonstops/week) than it is to fly Chengdu to Vancouver (many double connections) and World Race Productions typically does not want super-overtired F3 teams.

I did that because the race course usually involves 1 to 2 abnormalities in its route (a small or large loop, zig-zag pattern, large amounts of backtracking, etc), so I thought this would be a perfect area to do it (similar to S5 India-New Zealand-Philippines), and honestly didn't take the flights into account for that section of the race.
-
If so, it seems to me they've decided to hide the filming as best they can by not having things out where signs and clue boxes can be seen when teams are not in the vicinity (more than just covering up clueboxes, but using other containers that blend in).
But how does one hide Rachel and Brenden? As much as I learned to like Rachel during her second season of BB (and only after Brenden was evicted a second time), watching the two of them together is painful. Brenden treats her horribly. Think a few years back to Victoria and her abusive husband.
-
Did people see BB12 and how Rachel treated Brendon people watching some of their fights and how rachel acted would have thought she was mean to Brendon and treated him horribly but their true fans who have watched both seasons and have seen them off the show in interviews and in real life know that the way they were seen on parts of BB is not how they are in real life.John or whatever the husbands name of victoria was no way like Brendon or any of the other obnoxious guys i have seen on TAR.Brendon and Rachel are the nicest people and work together better then most coupples i have seen on the show that have known each other for longer. I can really see them making it to the finals thats how well they work together and are true competetors and i for one cant wait until the show starts.

I cannot believe that in three weeks there have been no sightings of Brenchel.
-
You obviously didn't watch the live feeds or read the live feed posts. Brenden is nothing short of abusive towards Rachel. I really hoped when she won that money she would leave and go back to Vegas sans Brenden.

Yea we kinda figured that out. You don't have to put it in bold. :cmas3
-
No parent/child team  (:;) :gaah:

We didn't get skunked this season, but I wouldn't call it a win either. :duno: (:;)

I really like the look of the race route. I immediately liked Bopper & Mark but I hate the rest of the cast.

I thought they were visiting it? Maybe it was a false spoiler I dunno.
-
Nepal and Qatar are unconfirmed, sadly.
-
I ADORE this new route Azerbaijan <333333333 Tanzania <333333 Neuschwanstein Castle <33333 Torino <333 Japan <3
But the cast....well it's only my first impression but... with the exception of Nary & Jamie... I don't find that interesting... :res:
-
For some reason, I really like this route more than TAR19. It seems like we will have less legs in the same country.
Also, a lot of flights seem to be happening. Hoping for flight drama. :hrt: :conf:
-

Imagine Tanzania to Azerbaijan <333
-
Azerbaijan! I have a Baku leg planned for my TARDBL game... :wohoo: (spoiler :lol3: :lol3: :lol3:)
-
see below
-
I see the assumptions that have been made about the route. One thing troubles me, the length of time assumed in Paraguay. I believe that there was one leg somewhere in Argentina (and there are several possible locations for it). Now if that is the case and there are 8 countries visited, then logic would tell you that one of the Asian countries did not really happen. Here is my assessment:
Argentina - I think so
Paraguay - yes
Italy (Torino) - yes
Germany (Fussen) - yes
Tanzania - yes
Qatar - maybe not
Azerbaijan - yes
Nepal - maybe not
Japan (Osaka) - yes
-
I want to bitch, moan, squeal that the cast doesn't give me a good vibe. Am I alone?
I sense a really ugly season unfolding (TAR 16).
HOPE AND PRAY THAT I AM WRONG. :'(
-
Like BVM said, I think this is going to be a very competitive cast, unlike the past seasons
-
...nvm sigh.
-

No you're not alone :(
I have a feeling they are repeating 15-16 with 19-20 :res:
19 had ok teams but not more, pretty good locations, but meh tasks like 15
For 20, I hope I'm wrong, but I feel that I'm going to hate some teams as much as the cops and Brent/Caite. A chance it has pretty good locations (at least on paper) compared to 16, so it will not be that bad I guess :duno:
And I hate the fact that there are no parent/child teams and no one older than 45 (:;)
-

Joab,
You are quite correct. AR20 has the most potential for major conflict among teams than any prior season. I would not call it ugly, but both competition within teams for "who decides" and competition between teams will be at maximum levels.
-
Which TPTB would love. I would much rather have honest competition between Type-A teams than the artifically manufactored conflicts that production has encouraged in the past by segregating the teams, etc.
-
Yes, Azerbaijan! I think they decided to visit in Azerbaijan because it's hosting Eurovision Song Contest (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eurovision_2012) this year so they know now it's a safe country to go.
I have mixed feelings about the cast. For me they seem to be quite boring and I hope there will be lots of drama! :meow:
-
I don't know..For some reason i see Rachel and the sisters having a feud. And maybe the divorcee too (I need to learn the names haha)
I can see some serious girl fights in this season..
-
This season reminds me of a very TAR 6-ish type of cast for some reason. Kris/Jon, Freddy/Kendra, Jon/Vic, Lori/Bolo, Hayden/Aaron, Adam/Rebecca, Lena/Kristy type of teams. Am I alone again? Not exactly entire similar.. but I don't think I can find another season with almost similar type of teams.
2 teams of agents, the all-female teams (except Misa & Maiya) looks like they can kick some ass, the all-male teams reminded me of BJ and Tyler VS Eric and Jeremy once again.
I'm not going to judge pre-season... but unless an all-female/co-ed team is able to win the first leg instead of an all-male team.. I'm afraid the whole season is going to unfold boringly again. :(
But sometimes... unpredictable things may happen and that adds more drama to the race. This is hoping that it does not turn out to be like a TAR 9, TAR 13, TAR 15 or TAR 19 race where only one/two teams dominated the race and bore the entire season out of me. :groan:
-
Uhm, I love the cast? I love the destinations? I love the druhmuhs that may unfold? I'm betting 90% of my soul (loljk) that 'tis shall be better than TAR 13, 15, 16, and 19. <333
... and 90% of me just got influenced by Brendon and especially, Rachel <3333333333333333333333333
Cheers for a wonderful season! :hearts: :hearts: 20 is a good number for Survivor. I hope TAR too <333333333
-
I sure hope for TAR too. Not going to judge before I watch the season. When I saw TAR 7 cast I didn't really like the cast but ended up it was one of the more memorable season for me.. so this may be the same for me!!
The locations... I have nothing to complain about. They're awesome!
-
This is such a remarkable coincidence. I'm going to be learning the Azerbaijani national anthem next month, for a concert of Azerbaijani music. This will be cool to see the place visited by TAR at the same time!!
-
Well, you may know that the season X was bad,but because of one team, that makes this season to be a great season for you!
Example : I know that Season 16 was terrible...but i love Jet and Cord, that makes me watch that season again and again...
-
I want to bitch, moan, squeal that the cast doesn't give me a good vibe. Am I alone?
I see this season ending with a team I won't like winning.
-
I am going to trust, that the only teams that I like... will go on to win. *FINGERS CROSS*
-
OMG OMW OMG OMW OMG
13 DAYS LEFFFFFT <3333333333333333
:hearts: :hearts: :hearts: :hearts:
-
Can't wait to see Baku :hrt: :hrt: :hrt: I don't know why but I really love this city.
-
Yay!!! The alps again just after 1 season without!!! :yess: :hearts: :wohoo:
Oh! and 12 days left!! :hoot:
-

I love seeing every single destination that the race goes to, so I know that they won't or even can't disappoint me there. But I hate the direction that the cast takes nowadays. It's purely for ratings, and I'm sure if CBS had their way, they'd have the entire cast made up of Big Brother/Survivor/Jersey Shore 'characters'.
It's fair enough when they are interesting and begin to develop their own stories. But case in point, the finish line of Season 11 was just embarrassing with the amount of camera time that Rob (of Rob & Amber) got, despite being one of the eliminated teams.
I definitely get a bad vibe with this cast. I moaned about last year's too, but I knew that there would be at least one team I'd enjoy. I just don't see it this season.
-
Hang in there. I find it impossible to tell who I will or won't like from the cast reveal. Some I doubted have gone on to be favorites!
-
When I saw TAR 7 and TAR 9's cast.. I wasn't impressed.
TAR 7 turned out to be fine and with a few favourites till today.
But TAR 9 remained... to be.... ew.
For TAR 16, I knew I'll like Steve and Allie and Jody and Shannon and they still turn out to be the only teams I like from that season.
There's some teams from this season that I know I'll like... but some I know I'll hate...
-
Am I the only one not yet liking this season? The cast is not really likeable; most of them make me think of TAR16. There are yet again two dominating teams. The locations are awesome but most of the tasks are lame. Build a small gingerbread house? Rappel down (again)? Curling? The simulator last episode? Build a small solar cooker? Washing a statue or a real person? Really? They are all pretty easy, not intense, and most of them dosen't showcase the scenery and the culture. The moments I prefer now are between the tasks, where they go to castles, museums and old cities, where the tasks should be.
But what I like are the return of more than one FF, and :meow: between teams
-
The tasks are lame? :o What about balancing a bottle on your heard during a dance, building pyramids of watermelons, stringing harps, scrubbing down oil covered bathers, searching through cars full of apples, and trimming beards? :duno: I thought the curling with a gnome was a nice touch.
-

I said MOST of them  The ones you mentionned were pretty good (with the exception of the oil, which was easy - it was unbanlanced with the long apple task), and this is why I didnt mentionned them in my small list. I forgot to mention that the Paraguay leg was awesome (half of the tasks you mentionned are in that episode tho).
-
IMO, I just think the tasks this season have been better than last season.

I don't think it's necessary for a detour to have "balanced" tasks. One could be easier, or harder or balanced. Sometimes they make the detour description sound harder or easier to deceive the teams.
I do think the tasks in Azerbaijan are too easy and straight forward. I wish they put a time limit in the roadblock. And make you wait for 15 mins before you can start again, if you fail to finish within the time limit. Just to add drama.
-
Although I've expressed my opinion on the other thread, the only 2 sets of racers I generally like on this race are Art & J.J and Bopper & Mark, I loved what they did for Bopper and Mark at the end of episode 4? giving them some money, brilliant to watch and shows that Art and J.J are good guys.
Special mention to Brendon for having to deal with the endless Tantrums.
-
when we first got the press releases on TAR20 i was pumped up because we had NO idea that the race went to Germany, Azerbaijan and TANZANIA!!!
when i first took a look at the cast, i thought they all looked pretty competitive, and it looked like they got FF teams with POTENTIAL to win
i was upset that there weren't any generational teams (parent/child, grandparent/child)
but i was excited for a competitive race! :yess: :wohoo:
so far I'm really liking TAR20 :hrt:
we have the loveable teams (Kentucky and Clowns!!!), the villains (Varalphasaurus), and the teams we love to hate (BRENCHEL), and then we have the meh teams.. but still a good mix which i like!!
Leg 1 was a great opener, SKYDIVING!!!! and even though there wasn't really a starting line challenge, i liked the fact they had to get the first clue themselves
and the Misa and Maiya elimination.... unforgettable!!!! :wohoo:
Leg 2 hmm... meh, i did like the Roadblock but thats about it :groan:
Leg 3 WOW. almost FLAWLESS leg. AIRPORT DRAMA!!! tough detour!! good enough roadblock, and the Twins and Varalphasaurus foot race!!!!! the changing positions, overall, an awesome episode. GO PARAGUAY! :luvya: :conf: :wohoo:
Leg 4 besides the salami Detour, it was a @#$*!y leg :gaah:
Leg 5 now you guys have been saying the challenges aren't EASY, but at least they are creative!! :wohoo: i thought the detour was great and equally balanced out. i loved how we got a tour of two beautiful castles, and the Roaming Gnome was used in a much better way. and even though it was weird, i really liked the Pit Stop hahaha COWS :hrt:
Leg 6 i literally knew NOTHING about Azerbaijan! but it looks like a great place
the fast forward was effective, but was only exciting because two teams went for it
the RB i thought was REALLY cool. it looks easy on TV but I'm sure it was much more frightening than you think. it wasn't that bad cmon :jam:
im glad they managed to include Old Baku, which looks beautiful :)
and the detour was EQUAL. the oil was the easier task but was further away from the detour clue. the apple task was harder but was way closer to the detour clue
average episode
i hope Tanzania, India, Japan and Hawaii continue to make this an AWESOME race!!!
:hearts: :hearts: :hearts:
-
India again for 2 legs is just sooo LAME :groan:
-
India again for 2 legs is just sooo LAME :groan:
-
Depends. India is HUGE. Going to a NEW area is just like going to a whole new country...almost.
Otherwise it is sort of like saying you have seen America, but you have only been to NYC.
India is interesting, complex, colorful, and always challenging for the racers, so I don't mind!
-
I was hoping for two Japan legs. Putting Kyoto & Osaka (just a speculation) in one leg is very lame.
-

This!
-
They could have flown into another country in the region, perhaps Sri Lanka as its the only safe and recently unvisited country then went onto India and flown to Japan.
We have confirmation that there are 2 India legs...
-

Yes, they could have, although to fly past all of southern India to reach Sri Lanka and then fly back to Kerala does not make any sense in an environment where costs matter to CBS.
-
I was hoping for two Japan legs. Putting Kyoto & Osaka (just a speculation) in one leg is very lame.
Kyoto is a very lovely and revered city for the Japanese people. It would be very appropriate for WRP/CBS to have scheduled a leg devoted exclusively to Kyoto, which is only about 60 miles from Kyoto's Kansai Airport. Osaka is more of a super-large Japanese metro area.
-
Can someone link me to the Kerala spoilers?

Exactly my thought. As a Japanese, I am deeply saddened by it.
It's like squeezing your country's most beautiful city with a random Megalopolis.
But my spec could be wrong tho, maybe it's just an Osaka leg.
-
Art and JJ seriously keep your mouth shut, how dare you making troubles for Brenchel and Nary and Jamie at the same time,U turn them now somebody. Vanessa grow up even your 38 you still act like a brat :groan:
-
jiajia12,
The rumor that Vanessa's age is 38 is being spread by a vindictive Rachel. If you believe the official ages for all AR20 racers, Vanessa is only 31 (4 years older than Rachel).
-
Ugg the preview makes me dislike Vanessa and boreder patrol more and like the feds/teachers better.I have heard that B/R like Patrol now that show is over but i cant stand them and i if they win the show then as much as i love Brenchel would ruin the season for me. I rather see the feds/teachers win over them. And Boring Rachel and her husband just bore me dont find them interesting at all. Wish the final 3 were Brenchel,KYTeam and Feds but dont think that will happen.
-
The final 3 spoilers can be found on this board if you want to know them ;)

If i end up hating or not the border patrols depends on what is going to happen the next week. If they discover Nary and Jamie and they just make comments saying they didn't like the lie or something like that, ok, maybe i would tolarate that... and i'm being almost like Mother Theresa. BUT... if they start to tell the other teams what they discovered and induce the other teams to hate Nary and Jamie and tell a bunch of cr#!* about morals or something like that... MEN I'M GONNA GET SERIOUS and i'm gonna hate them with all my soul, even more than the globetrotters, the detectives, the guidos, tom & terry, erick & danielle, tara & will, JONATHAN.... that level of HATE.
-
The "teachers" made the choice to lie so however people react when they find the truth is not really within their control.

The final 3 spoilers can be found on this board if you want to know them ;)

Wish the final 3 were Brenchel,KYTeam and Feds but dont think that will happen.
That's my personal wish too! :hearts: it'll never happen, though. Virtual high five!

Sometimes i can't believe how honest i can be with myself.

7 freakin legs in and every single one has been won by either Dave and Rachel or Art and JJ. I wouldn't mind it that much if those two teams were likeable, but they're not. It's season 9 all over again, this is seriously starting to annoy the hell out of me.
despite giving 5000 dollars to a good team, Mark and Bopper, I really dislike Art and JJ on the race. It's Louie and Michael all over again.
Army Rachel is fine, Dave is irritating.
I doubt this will change next week.

Art & JJ are far worse than Louie & Michael and I hated Louie & Michael.
I've never outright hated teams more than I do Art & JJ, Vanessa & Ralph and Dave & Rachel. They are being unnecessarily cruel and nasty. And now they add threatening and intimidating other teams to their list of great qualities?

I used to dislike Art and JJ also, but now I really like them. They're creating some drama, but they're just really casual about it and not annoying. I think they're pretty funny. Watch some insider videos and they're pretty good guys.

Dave and Rachel? They have problems being nasty with each other, not other teams. You should watch this clip if you feel they're threatening other teams... http://www.cbs.com/shows/amazing_race/video/2220689248/the-amazing-race-staying-out-of-the-drama (http://www.cbs.com/shows/amazing_race/video/2220689248/the-amazing-race-staying-out-of-the-drama)
