Benefiber is a FIBER, not a laxative. While it does promote regularity, in large doses it can also cause severe constipation and possible intestinal obstruction...or at least gas, bloating and discomfort.

It should be taken with large amounts of water...so if someone takes it unknowingly they will not take the recommended water with it, which could compund the effects.

I think this is a VERY serious issue. It was a deliberate attempt to cause the HG's distress, and could lead to a serious medical condition.

Is there not a rule against deliberately HARMING fellow contestants??

At the very least, IMO, this should mandate a Penalty Nom if not an immediate eviction.
This is not a laughable light-hearted prank, it is a serious situation. :ascared

Post by: TexasLady on August 14, 2011, 04:46:35 PM: I am not sure where we should complain but it isn't acceptable that Porsche put something in a drink that could cause potential harm to an unsuspecting person. Daniele and Kalia are just as bad, they didn't say anything or object.

We're not all built the same -- I think BB needs to do more that tell that little scumbag not to do it anymore. I hope someone finds out where to complain to. I think you can lodge a complaint on CBS website

ONce there--- you can click on the show -- and click to comment, or complain. I complained big time. == That BB stepped over the line and its unacceptable to let Porch just go with a hand slap. we have no clue if she got a scolding or worse. as per porsche it was just a scolding but we all know she lies :lol:

I think what concerns me most of all, is that adding ANYTHING to someone's drink without their awareness is unacceptable in this day and age, particularly something that could have a harmful side effect. CBS and BB letting such an action stand without comment is condoning that behavior, in my opinion.

Additionally, I have emailed the makers of Benefiber with my concerns about the way their product was misused. This is probably NOT the image they wish their product to have.

Thanks Peach for the additional information. You're right, it puts their product in a very bad light, using it in a malicious way.
