Yeah, based on Jeff's tweets, it seems really likely that Russell is going home. But it could be a reverse psychological effect as well. So I don't dare get my hopes too high as yet!

A survivor... reduced to tears after being sent home. In what way does Matt looks like the type of guy who would be reduced to tears?? If he does indeed, it will be a real shocker in my life.
Russell on the other hand, with all his pride/ego dashed and just voted off like that, is bound to break into some sort of fits or rage and cry like a whiney baby on the spot!

Farmer is DUMB. Russell would have known if he found the IDOL no matter what once he watches it LIVE??!?!!?!
I don't think he's dumb, why would it matter once Russel is watching it live in prison?

It's dumb because Kristina and Philip are there.. if they're not there.. it would have been good taunting.. but that's not the smartest way to reveal to ALL the players in the game you have the idol. :(

Looks like there’s going to be a lot of crying this week. From the Miami Heat to Russell, and then to Jeff I think, because he’ll think the show will suffer in ratings without the Legend of Hantz.
I have to admit that when Russell was voted off last week, I was a bit upset. However, only for one reason: Redemption Island. Mr. Hantz being blindsided would have been that much better if it meant the complete end for him.
Following this episode, that all changed. While I’m not one to agree with someone getting a second chance (as in being knocked out of the game only to return, not a TAR NEL where a team isn’t out at that moment), I think I definitely like this concept. Basically, for this week, it meant that someone put Russell in his place twice in such a short period of time.
I should feel bad for the guy since losing sucks, but I really don’t. I really didn’t appreciate his un-sportsmanlike behavior post match (not surprised obviously). Sure throwing a task isn’t smart, but when a team has a plan/makes up for it going forward (and so far, so good), it’s necessary. Sure as heck beats messing with one’s personal stuff around camp, IMO! At the end of the day, the show lost a familiar face, but I think I’ll be enjoying who’s left since they actually did a lot of people a favor over the past two weeks (thank you Matt!).
It's one of those things, as mentioned, that you can't believe since it's too good to be true. Anyway, it's time to enjoy Survivor like I used to since Season 18.

I was following Jeff's tweets while the show aired on the east coast. He was really good with his tweeting.
He said that he and the crew were bummed when Russell got eliminated while they were filming it.
He had a lot to say about Phillip and Ralph.
He said we don't need Russell now cuz the season is very good. He said it is just starting and there is a lot more to come.
He said he has a surprise for us in his blog tomorrow.

This must be my favourite Survivor moment yet. To have Russell semi voted off only to fear that he'd enter the game again, and then have him lose to Matt and get his buff completely burnt. He's gone, for good. Wow?!?!?! I can't believe it, but I'm ecstatic.
And I find it extremely interesting how Rob and Russell were both villains, but had totally opposite lives this season. One became such a pain to the tribe that they had to throw a challenge just to get him out, and the other has the whole tribe eating out of his hands. I don't know whether to be amazed by Rob's capability, or amazed that none of his alliance actually thought of getting him out. How could they not even suspect Rob searching for the Idol? And why do they have to listen to every of his instructions? I like Rob, I think he's redeemed himself from Heroes vs. Villains, but a part of me still hopes for him to get voted off sometime.
I'm worried for Ometepe, they're clearly not as strong as Zapatera, physically. Perhaps it was a mistake voting Matt off so early. Now Kristina joins Matt on Redemption Island, I'm still totally rooting for Matt, but I just can't see him winning challenge after challenge. We'll see how it goes.
I'm loving this season of Survivor so much so far!

It was a very exciting episode to watch from the duel all the way to the tribal council.
1) Happy that Russell lost to Matt. Way to go Matt! Hoping that we can stage a grand comeback!
2) Ometepe is still sucking at challenges. They only won once when Zapatera threw it. They are in trouble!!!
3) Rob is like the king in Ometepe and he is making mistakes keeping Philip instead of Kristina.
4) Sad that Kristina was voted out.
5) Even though I like Kristina, hoping for Matt to beat her because I like Matt more! Go Matt!

Yes, I loved the little feller. He is on the short list for the biggest villain on Reality TV. He was pure evil, always had a plan and never dull. I guess I'll have to root for Rob now. :snicker:

Well I am ready for Rob to go too. I dont think it is too fair to all the other players to have two experienced players there. Russell's plan worked till all the new players (well most of them) had seen how he plays. Now Zapatera will do what Surivior is all about....find out who are the real players there. They will whittle out their dead wood....
Matt and Kristina appear to discuss Rob's manipulating of their tribe and seems like they make a speech to the spectators while at the duel. It is going to be fun to see how they come across. Whether they sound like they are whining or whether they are being prophetic. I just bet that Matt's little sweetie is there this time. She is already shakey in Rob's alliance.

The good thing about having experienced players is that there's so much hype about the season.
Bad thing? You barely know the cast's name.
I only know the names of the people voted off, Russell's Stefenie (don't even know how the spelling goes) and Philip, as well as Kristina.. the rest of the people are just....
And oh, i remember Julie. Julie seemed to be getting a fair bit more of edit. I suspect her to be in the Final 4 at least. :lol3:

Exactly... and surprisingly, Rob's tribe... so weak?? I suspect it to be because of the amount of younger girls.
This season is a tad bit different.. the ones going out first are not the weaker girls! :lol:
I don't think that the young girls are pulling Ometepe back though. But rather, Zapatera has more guys, and stronger guys than Ometepe. The former has Ralph, Mike, Steve and David, all of whom are pretty strong guys, whereas the latter only has Rob, Grant and Philip (who is actually quite useless). So it's something like... 4 guys against 2?
