Chris isn't part of the top 24... i heard.
I'm surprised that he was not on the list. I wonder why he was not at least given another chance. :umn:
-
James Durbin should not be on that list. He only knows how to scream! Very irritating. Adam Lambert v2.0 and it's not even good.

He probably won't last too long.

Hollie getting cut was kinda expected. Chris was very mild and lacked personality. You see, people're talking about AI being a contest for people with sob stories to prosper.. and they probably thought since Chris wasn't like the best they have seen.. they decided to cut him just in case people vote for him because of pity votes and AI will then end up being criticized if he got through round after rounds. They need to minimize on their controversy this season to make it a memorable and endurable one for people to want to continue on watching the show.
Just my 2 cents worth. I also think people will like the winner this year alot. Maybe a good winner who will be as successful as Carrie and Kelly.

I'm with you Joab, I don't want sob story singers hanging on with the help of VFTW. :groan:

OMG! Thia Megia still not YET on the list. :(
-
@Eragon: From the 22 rumored, the number of guys has reached its quota while the girls are still missing the last two so Thia Megia can still make it to the list.
I still can't believe Scott who destroyed 'I Hope You Dance' make it to top 24...on the good side, Ashley is not even in top 40
After separating the gender, the list would be like this:

'American Idol' Finalist Hospitalized
2/23/2011 5:12 PM PST by TMZ Staff
Casey Abrams -- one of the top 24 finalists on "American Idol" -- was rushed to a hospital moments ago after complaining of severe stomach pains ... TMZ has learned.
Sources connected to the show tell us ... 19-year-old Abrams was rehearsing at CBS Television City when he began to feel sick.
We're told Abrams was taken to a nearby hospital -- where he's expected to stay overnight ... possibly longer.
And it gets worse -- now that Abrams has made the top 24, he's scheduled to tape a performance on Friday ... along with the rest of the top 12 men. But if Abrams is not well enough to take the stage on Friday, we're told he will be eliminated from the competition.
Abrams is currently being examined by doctors.

Oh NOOOOOOOOOOO! Casey is one of my picks, I hope he is ok and can return! :ascared
-
Is Casey ok now?? :'(
-
Casey is one of my favourites. When i first show him in the auditions with that beard and the melodica I thought that he was just another goofy and delusional guy and then he start singing...
I hope he is well and he goes far in this contest.

I'm sad that Chris is not in because of his beautiful character and wonderful story. But at the same time, I'm glad that the judges did not put him in because of his story. I like it that they're doing it purely based on talent alone, and not sob stories or sympathy. I do not have the habit of watching Hollywood Rounds, so I'm still unsure of this year's talent. I can't wait to see the Top 24 perform! :D

Hi Ruth!! :waves:
This is all I've found so far about Casey and it's not sounding good for him:
Casey Abrams -- who we know is one of the 24 finalists on "American Idol" -- is still in the hospital and could end up dropping out of the competition today ... TMZ has learned.
Casey Abrams Hospitalized Update
TMZ broke the story ... Casey was rushed to the hospital Wednesday, complaining of severe stomach pains.
We've learned he's still in the hospital and will receive a blood transfusion this morning.
For Casey to continue in the competition, he must participate in tonight's taping of the top 12 males.
Sources connected with the show say it's up to Casey to decide, but producers will let him rehearse with the band at 4:30 PM today if he's able ... and then tape the show.
It's so touch and go, we're told they're discussing the possibility of Casey going to the taping and then returning to the hospital.

Casey Abrams of American Idol Will Sing Despite Hospitalization
The show will go on for American Idol contestant Casey Abrams.
The singer, who made the top 24 on Thursday's show, was reportedly hospitalized after suffering severe stomach pains on Wednesday but is now out of the hospital and expected to hit the stage during Friday's taping of the top 12 men's performances, PEOPLE confirms.
"He is performing tonight," a source close to the show tells PEOPLE. "He had some stomach pains but he will perform."
The bar has been set high for Abrams, the first contestant in Idol history to perform with a upright bass, after he wowed the judges throughout the audition process.
"I don't think we've ever seen a musician as talented as yourself," Randy Jackson told him on Thursday's episode. "It's like three people in one."
Abrams, who auditioned in Austin, Texas, with Ray Charles's song, "I Don't Need No Doctor," became so excited he accidentally knocked his chair off the stage.
A rep for Fox had no comment.
The news of Abrams hospitalization was first reported by TMZ.
