DL 17 landed.I have QF108 to arrive around 1000. They are lucky due to all the issues with Qantas lately. All the A380 planes in LA are grounded meaning less seat capacity.

I just saw Margie (the mother of the deaf guy - have I got her name right?) and Jaime and Cara running around Circular Quay towards Sydney Harbour Bridge. This was about 11.30 am today (Monday 22/11 here in Sydney). There were a few other teams running with them but I didn't recognise them and I was in danger of being run over by a camera crew!

Home from LA! Really dramatic flight! Medical emergency required landing mid way in Honolulu after dumping 30,000 pounds of fuel. Then storms near Fiji diverted us another 2 hours! Got to Sydney and no gate allocated! 8 teams of the "Amazing Race" were on my flight - two sitting next to me - drew maps and helped with their clues for Sydney! What a flight!

Definitely saw them being followed by crews.
Well - I did hear that 3 teams were put on the later flight - but there was a lot of whining because our flight was so delayed that the last three teams would have arrived in SYdney WELL before the first 8!
The clue was "Southern Swan on the Rocks" whcih as far as I could tell as a Sydney sider - this is a Tall Ship (the name I couldnt remember - but they all seemed to think it was a ship) that docks at the Harbour and is a floating restaurant "at the Rocks" which is where the First Fleet landed in Australia! Very historic site and VERY BEAUTIFUL and they had to take a TRAIN to CIRCULAR QUAY then RUN to the SHIP. Will go past the MOST beautiful of all Sydney Landmarks.

One group of 6 leaves at 6 am( jen & kisha, mike & mel, Jamie & Cara,marge & Luke, zev a& justin) and the other group of 5 leaves (the globetrotters, ron & Christina, gary & mallory, amanda and kris, the cowboys) at 6.30am.
Managed to speak to Ron & Christina(They were very nice) and Kynt & Vyxsin.
When i left the cowboys had yet to arrive.

I doubt it, I got told it's a charter flight to "the outback". New South Wales and Queensland as more well know as Outback territory, not Melbourne. If it is Melboune, I'd guess a connecting flight possibly to South Australia

You could probably ask at a counter, although there were not many Countrylink lines. It wouldn't be too hard to check at the station, just make sure you arrive early to give yourself time to do so.

Platforms 1-3 (Non-gated area, closest to Pitt Street & the tower). All "interstate" services go from there.
EDIT: Most likely platform one, as it has a car carrying facility, and the Indian Pacific has cars on it.You could probably ask at a counter, although there were not many Countrylink lines. It wouldn't be too hard to check at the station, just make sure you arrive early to give yourself time to do so.
GSR is very different to Countrylink. Countrylink = Regional & Melb/Bris. GSR = IP.

there were 3 teams I recognized and 2-3 teams I didn't. There was a goth looking couple as well. The mom of the deaf son was talking about another plane that also took off with a bunch of teams on it.
Each team had a camera man....and they were lugging a huge camera. Maybe the size of your Rimowa rolly bag. HD makes sense....I was wondering why their equip was so big. Camera men were all struggling to keep up with the teams.
flt was 70mins late so they were worried that they were going to have to play catch up.

I'm the one whom kenchan was talking about.
Yes, I went to Narita airport this morning to spot racers according to the info kenchan gave us.
As I mentioned, I attempted to get close to the racers, talk, and acquire info they have.
However, those filming crews were tightly guarding racers as if they were VIP or celebrities.
So, I couldn't even get close within 20 feet or so.
When I tried to picture racers coming out of the exit door, the staff were as if trying to prevent me to do so by surrounding racers and block my shooting.
What I could get was only sneak taken crap pictures out of focus, and racers can be barely identified with them.

Every single time racers came out of the door, the cameraman with 2 feet bazooka like video camera on his arm came out prior to racers.
With that sign, all the staff member turned busy and noisy.
That happened 3 times - Zev/Justin and Jamie/Cara came out of the door almost the same time.
After these 4 teams went by, everyone was gone quickly and nobody stayed there after two minutes.
...I felt it was over and impossible to guess where they went, so I went to work instead of spotting them.

I went there in the afternoon. I don't know which temple that was as I'm also a foreigner here but it's the one where you have to climb a number of steps before you reach the top. I saw cowboys, 2 black ladies, 2 pink-dyed hair ladies, and a Caucasian couple. I was able to take a picture of the cowboy and the black ladies.
And how are these posts live sightings or spoilers?what about Jaime and Cara? :(those freaking cheerleaders who complain them that the locals can't speak English? Heck probably they're the last one to arrive at the pit stop and they have difficulties on communicating with the Japanese locals there. I wish they'd been eliminated there or else... (:;)

Kenchan, Australia watches the show a couple of days behind the US this season. The episode shown this Sunday in America will be shown in Australia on Thursday.

I took a sleeper train from Kunming, and saw a couple tall ladies with matching red-dyed hair being video-taped and interviewed about how their flight was rushed and what they thought, blah blah. I didn't think much of it, but then when boarding the train, I saw a couple other camera crew running around. Then when arriving in Lijiang (the train was nice and double storied, which I hadn't seen before in China, but no door on the cabin... but at least the cabin was empty) at just before 7am, I saw a couple guys in matching outfits and cowboy hats also being interviewed as they got into one of the dozens of minivan taxis waiting to take people to Lijiang. I then started to think "Hey, this might be The Amazing Race or The Amazing Race Asia." I took a shared taxi but should have waited a bit more since at 715am the buses started arriving (but I didn't know). Anyway, after getting to the Old Town of Lijiang and finding a room at a decent price, I rested a little and then an hour later braved the cold (thankfully mild compared to other times I've been here in winter) to start walking around and taking more pictures and to eat breakfast. After walking up a hill to try to get a good view of the Old Town (the view is monopolized by many restaurants and you can't take photos without eating or drinking there), I stumbled across the host of the show as he was acting out with his translator and a woman dressed in local Naxi clothing how the teams will respond. I videoed him and took some photos and he came over and introduced himself as Steve. I asked if he was with The Amazing Race and he said "No, I wish!" but just a small travel show for The Discovery Channel, which I thought was even better because I quite like The Discovery Channel. After wishing him good luck I went down the hill and saw 3 more "teams" of partners and other crews filming them as they acted quite like they do on The Amazing Race (having to answer puzzles and put clues in certain ways to locals before given cards for their next destination). So either "Steve" lied to me (though he didn't look like the host I've seen before on The Amazing Race) or there were 2 different shows filming consecutively or the show being filmed (with at least 4 distinct teams of 2 people each) was copying the style of The Amazing Race for a China-only show. In any event, quite fun to watch but it also made me wish I was on the show competing for a million dollars since a couple years ago I applied with a friend but never heard back. Again, that's life but it's nice to know that I'm heading to some places that are considered worthy enough for either The Amazing Race or The Discovery Channel. It was also neat to see how many crew really are needed to follow around teams of people to make a television reality / travel show.
I'll try to post some pictures of the people I saw filming when I get the chance and a good internet connection. I still don't have access to facebook (both China and Vietnam block access) but should later in the week.

Quite a few locals were excited yesterday at the news that contestants and crew from the US TV reality show 'The Amazing Race' were in the city as part of their Australian leg of the show.
The production crew and 11 American couples arrived in the city on two Rex chartered planes yesterday morning from Sydney, and were picked up by several four-wheeldrives.
The show has couples race across the globe, doing crazy things at each destination. Rotary and St Johns Ambulance were at the old Junction Mine yesterday with the crew and contestants while they filmed a sequence for the show.
Many locals drove up to catch a glimpse of the proceedings. When the BDT approached the production crew for an interview, a spokesman for the show worked on the basis of little to no publicity.
But locals gave regular updates on their sightings of the groups on Facebook. According to posts on the site later in the day, the contestants had to go to Memorial Oval where they found an envelope telling them they had to dress up as Kangaroos and hop to Mercury Street for their next clue before they made their way to the Junction Mine.
Mayor Wincen Cuy took part in filming at the Junction Mine, but couldn't give the BDT any information as to what his role was.
"I had to sign a declaration of confidence," Mayor Cuy said. "I was involved, and it will be fabulous for Broken Hill."
City Council's media adviser John Casey said council would not comment on any projects filmed "in and around Broken Hill without theexpress permission of those companies and individuals involved.
"At this time we have been asked to keep details of projects currently in development in Broken Hill confidential and do not have permission tomake any further comment".

I saw the teams when I was in Kunming (Yunnan China) waiting to catch a train to Lijiang (the night sleeper train).
I saw two females with dyed red hair being interviewed by a cameraman and a boom mic hand. I didn't think much of it but overheard the cameraman asking them about whether the flight was a tight connection.
Then when down by the train platform I saw 2 other camera crew running by the train. I then told my friend who said she saw 2 black guys being interviewed also. I then commented that it would be funny if it was The Amazing Race.
When arriving in Lijiang early I saw 2 white guys in cowboy hats being filmed as they got into a shared taxi. I then realized it must be TAR or something similar.
When in Lijiang old town after checking into a hotel I saw a couple more camera crew walking and talking. And one said "where are the lead teams?" to which the other replied "must be heading to the hill by now. I then asked my friend, who is from Lijiang, where a high overlook was. We went there and that's when I saw "Steve." I filmed a little but he walked over to speak to me and I asked if he was with TAR but he replied "No I wish. Just a travel show with the Discovery Channel. Why, did you see the Amazing Race filming here?" I then said I loved Discovery and yeah I thought I saw the TAR crew and at least 3 teams (saw a 4th later). He then stopped interacting with his translator and some roadblock or final leg woman, whom he'd been acting out how to respond to teams if they put up a fuss. I figured I was in the way of production so I wished "Steve" well and left.
Later I saw some Chinese in local traditional Naxi costumes by a large prayer device with Chinese zodiac symbols and a 4th team answering a puzzle and putting a slip of paper in a slot and then getting an envelope and running away to their next leg. That's where I took most pictures of the many crew.

Just wanted to complete my post. I spotted them at around 1 PM on the train from Chur to Zurich. Its possible they rode the train over from austria.
Yes however that train can be used to connect from Austria to Zurich. There must have been some sort of stop or challenge on the way from Austria to Zurich.
No.The Vienna train goes Vienna - Sargans - Chur. The Chur one goes Chur - Sargans - Zurich. The lines intersect at Sargans. Which points to a Liechtenstein stop or something else in that region.
This train doesn't appear to originate in Wien, which was our last sighting. Where did it start?

It's is a fake, if the guy watched S14, he would know that Margie/Luke, Kisha/Jen will NEVER work together.
Kisha/Jen probably U-turned Margie/Luke in one of the legs....

It's policy: Even if we did know, we would not spill it. Yet. :cmaslol
Imagine, right now.. we only know who the first 3 teams eliminated are... as opposed to knowing the F3...
There are some people who only watch TAR because of the teams they like... imagine if everyone knew who the F3 are... it could potentially affect ratings... and it does not help too IF the F3 consist of 3 teams which the audiences generally do not like.

Apparently 7 mile bridge was closed on Monday for filming the Amazing Race.
Not sure - but I think its a 7 mile bridge just outside of Marathon Fl that has been replaced by a new bridge.
The old bridge is used for walking now.

Well since you did not post the orginal sender of the tweet......I can only surmise that it was from someone from here asking if she saw the teams in the airport.
From her posting history....it appears she is on a cruise this week. If I was in MIA people watching, I would be one floor up in the main concourse...not on the lower level where people exit from Immigration/Customs.....its pretty barren and isolated there.

Yes, they were all taken at the same time and off the Sao Paulo flight that was delayed the earliest.
To finally answer the post about the "pilot illness" (it was either in this thread or the other one), I unknowingly sat close to people associated with production and when a girl came over to introduce herself, my ears perked up because the customs area was pretty much empty. So I got out my crossword puzzle book and pretended to be busy while eavesdropping which is when one guy was mentioning a pilot being sick among other things.....so the super delayed flight was what "pilot illness" was referring to.

I believe all 11 teams arrived in Miami on AA 930 from Sao Paulo......according to Peach.
