Phil: Teams crossed the Andes into Argentina. Lesbians eyed Cowboys, and not in a good way. At the Roadblock, the Cowboys got ahead and claimed their 2nd consecutive leg. Meanwhile, Carole/Brandi melted down. Steer Roping tied Shawne, and the Moms struggled at the polo field; they were Philiminated.
Eight teams remain. Who will be eliminated next?

Phil: Fly to Frankfurt, train to Hamburg. Search on foot for Jurgfengstein Street in search of the next clue.

Looks like the first teams to Frankfurt are the Lesbians, who R A C E on foot to make the train to Hamburg, and Dan/Jordan, who are running around looking lost.

Two sets of teams kidnap locals to lead them.
BB and B&C in last.

So the first "team" is Cowboys/Cops.
Joe/Heidi arrive at the clue in 3rd, with Carol/Brandy, 4th.
Joe/Heidi conf: They'd have preferred to work with Steve/Allie, who arrived there in 5th.
Leaves Dan/Jordan, in 6th, to fit in Carol/Brandy alliance reformed.
Gayboy says Carol is the Lesbian Aunt he never had.

Brent thinks Caite will do on the subway as she lived in New York briefly. We then fad to here and Jordan being told they are already on the wrong train. HEHE

SO far this episode is flying by. But I still can't tell you how much I hate no departure times. I mean that more then anything (even placement) tells you how much trouble teams actually have on a leg.

Jordan/Caite quickly discover they took a train going in the W R O N G direction.

Jet's hat doesn't come off doing the Bungee. "A real cowboy hate never comes off".
Joe is having trouble with his knee.
Joe & Heidi and Steve and Allie get to Roadblock a few minutes before all the gay people.

Jordan/Caite point in one direction but are going in the other.
Caite tries to explain in a confessional how she got lost, making her sound like a bigger moron.
Cowboy and Cop buckle up for a 150 foot bungee ride downward in the middle of the night.

Teams must go back to Intersection box then split back to individual teams to go to next task.
Carol is freaking out.

Louie & Michael get to the Detour to first. Eitehr eat Sourkraut in a time limit or go play soceer

CLUE: Do not read the clue until you reunite with your teammate.
Joe and Allie run toward the task, him on a bum leg or summat. They're ready to bungee!
Here come Gayboy and his Lesbian Aunt, too.
On the way down, Allie shows that she has a personality, making her anonymity even more odd in retrospect.
Lesbian Aunt should have half that much personality.
CLUE: Find Kaiser Wilhelm statue; you are no longer intersected.

On eating challenge team works together to finish one plate, doesn't matter who eats the most.
Detectives make short work of that task then go to general boot task.
Cowboy just mere seconds ahead of Joe & Heidi and Steve & Allie but lack cab.

Jordan and Caite finish bungee in 4th (well, really, 7th and 8th).
Cops think the sauerkraut plate will be no challenge at all. One plate, 2 forks. Lots of fingers.
Mike scarfs stuff down faster than doughnuts.
They're done in plenty of time.
Cops, CLUE: Make your way to Haifish Bar.
Phil: At the Shark Bar, finish off a glass boot with beer in it.

Cowboys lost time on a subway or summat. They'll try the soccer field if they ever find it.
Other teams have similar ideas and it looks like several could be kicking simultaneously.
Meanwhile, Cops polish off a huge boot full of beer in nothing, flat.

Steve/Allie and Joe/Heidi arrive at the stadium and start kicking.
Steve realizes he has to H I T the T A R G E T S. Not go over or under them.
Finally, one.
Joe: My knee is killing me. (Already?) I can't get it up!
Jet/Cord are still looking for the stadium.
Somehow, Allison Grodner got Brent/Caite and Jordeff back into 5th and 6th place.

Still bitching about his knee, Joe decides to change tasks and eat sauerkraut. Steve doesn't think it's a good idea for him to change.

Cops, Clue: Make your way to Beatles-Platz monument.
Phil: They'll run for the Red Light District looking for the Interklub, where the Beatles played. It's the pitstop where the last team to check in may be eliminated.

Cops in cab: The Beatles Platz.
Woman: Pubs, discos and sex shoppes!
They find the club immediately, and Beatles imitators, too.
Man: Welcome to Hamburg, Germany.
Cops howl.
Phil: You guys are Team #1. You are looking more like a wolf everyday. You've each won a Discover gift card, $5,000 each.

Cowboys gloat about how this is their first time ever on a soccer field. (Not sure I'd be bragging about it, though.)
Steve finishes and belches.
On foot, Brent/Caite, lost, grab a taxi to get to the football stadium.
Joe/Heidi arrive at their plate of kraut. Music stars. They try to eat fast.
Heidi talks about how much she loves sauerkraut.
Joe: We wanted to finish in the 1st song.
They inhaled it.
Jordeff drive back the way they came, still lost.
Gay babes arrive at Kraut plate.
They eat like birds.
Come on, NOT A JOKE ABOUT GAG REFLEX. This is officially the worst season of TAR, ever.
Meanwhile, Dan/Jordan kick soccer balls.
Somehow, the song lasts long enough for Carol/Brandy to finish.
Dan/Jordan are done.

Race is rigged for Brent & Caite after all Caite as played soccer since she was 5. Caite starts to whine like there is no tomorrow.
Jordan & Jeff suck at eating, have to switch tasks (losers).

Both: Yes.
Phil: You're actually Team #7, still in the Race.
Caite: I'm speechless. Lucky #7, three times the charm.
Man: Welcome to Hamburg, Germany.
Phil: Jordan/Jeff, you're the last team to arrive.
Jordan: Figures.
Jeff: We could have done better. I'm sick, either sauerkraut or the beer.
Phil: This is a non-elimination leg. You'll have a speed bump coming. You're the underdogs.
Jeff: Better this, to fight another day, than go home.
Jeff conf: I feel we'll rebound. This will make us a stronger team.

With all of the "Happy" confessionals during the episode, I thought the NEL was telegraphed fairly well 15 minutes into the show.

What a sucky throwaway episode. I hate legs that are run in the dark. For those teams that haven't been getting much air time, how are viewers going to get more familiar with them when they are only shown in the dark? (:;)
TPTB must have known last year that this episode would air against the Oscars.
Also, I sure wish they would have shown how the first and last teams to depart in Argentina were the only teams on the their flight into Germany. :duno:

This flight information has absolutely nothing to do with the 1110am flight, unless Aerolineas Argentinas is flying 747 size planes on the Bariloche to Buenos Aires route (highly unlikely since the route density isn't there; there are about 5 small planes per day regularly). Anyone can plainly see that this is a seat map with 10 seats across each row. That is used only on wide-body aircraft flying the Buenos Aires to Frankfurt, Buenos Aires to Paris, or Sao Paulo to Frankfurt routes.
I do not think there was a regular 1110am flight, but I hypothesize that there may have been a charter flight for the teams and Amazing Race crew at 1110am.

I admit, I was surprised by Louie and Michael, from first to last, impressive!
I liked what they did during the intersection also, It's been a while that we have seen the intersection
