Yeah, I was just about to post this.

Not an exciting title, and I have a couple of guesses of who it may be, but that will be getting  :ot: .

Argentina should be great, though! :jumpy:

:duno:  hmmmm....  "...scalded dogs" ...not exactly a phrase heard these days.  might be a "southern" thing...   cowboys?  S.C. gals?  church ladies? ....someone from the 18th century?   :snicker:

from Urban Dictionary: (and this southern girl has never heard this in her life  )

Quote
1.  scalded dog
One who runs away like a coward. A JRism.

2.  scalded dog
The term "scalded dog" originated when people used to cook, can, and preserve food outside. A dog could come into contact with spilled hot water or foodstuff and run from the pain. Dogs will run away from pain from bees or hot scalding water long after the pain causing entity is gone.
A dog that has been burned is a scalded dog and to run like a scalded dog is to run wildly from a pain causing experience.
The soldier ran like a scalded dog from the enemy forces.
The children ran like scalded dogs from the black bear.
The people ran like scalded dogs from the lava flow.
The escaped criminals ran like scalded dogs from the police.

2 legs in TAR 5, 2 legs in TAR 7, 1 leg in TAR 11.
If they didn't reuse the same city, I wouldn't really have a problem with it, considering how big the country is. But they're returning to San Carlos de Bariloche after 11 editions.

Evan Weinstein,

I did not notice any references to the the CondorMan tandem paraglide into Lake Nahuel Niguel mentioned. I think it lifts up for the top of the chairlift in VILLA LA ANGOSTURA on Cerro Bayo before splashing in Lake Huapi Nahuel.

In the background is Cerro Leones (photo source (http://www.panoramio.com/photo/6851244)). If you're a train buff, you might notice the "curva del huevo" (almost a loop) that the train travels right after the old bridge (video here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ShazuZb9Ra4)).

And from Slowhatch's link, the Tur Bus terminal is open at 9am from Mondays to Saturdays. Considering we only see the top tier of teams and that Jody/Shannon were eliminated at 3.50pm, I suppose we have a slightly extended Pit Stop, say 20h?

I've a feeling (and I do hope) that the Switchback is a one-off thing!

So this is where Jebber shows up? The teams take a bus from PV to Osorno, where they transfer to Jebber's bus and then get dropped off somewhere short of Bariloche to pick up their rentals.

Could it be Jeff or Jordan?

Ya think? The couple can’t give discuss specifics, though Lloyd recalls having some concerns about the show’s physical demands. “I don’t like to work out. Everybody knows that. If I work out one day, I want to see results and so yeah I was worried,” she says. “Though I was more so worried about having to eat a bug or something. I would rather Jeff eat a bug than me.” When asked if the two ever got hurt, Schroeder would only say, “We are in perfect health right now.”

No, I don't think so.

There have been teams in the past where a team member suffered an injury during a task that required . (Gretchen, maybe?). One of the brothers in season 5 suffered an injury and couldn't continue; Danny from season 2 required medical treatment and a prescription for gout during the South Africa winery pit stop in season 2; and the dad in an early season dad-and-daughter team did go to the emergency room for treatment, but continued in the Race; so this won't be the first time there's been a serious injury.

But I am as curious as to what caused the injury and to who needed to go to the emergency room.

J/J were the first to jump in my mind for the ER visit.  I remember seeing a couple of interviews (I think EW was the first) where they were asked about getting hurt or being sick, they obviously gave vague answers but Jeff was always quick to point out that they are fine NOW.  Hopefully whoever it is, it's nothing serious and not the reason they leave the race.

Does sound like either Jeff or Jordan could be injured enough to go into the ER.  It might not be serious enough to keep them out of the Race, but it might put them far enough behind that they get knocked out of the Race anyway.  Rotten luck if that happens.

I doubt this leg has a Switchback; otherwise, the press release would have mentioned it. Anyway, TAR doesn't repeat tasks unless they are truly memorable like the hay bales.

In fact, I doubt this season has one anyway. The meat-eating roadblock happened at Mendoza.

RACERS ARE STEERED OFF COURSE WHILE RACING THROUGH THE EXPANSIVE ARGENTINIAN COUNTRYSIDE AND ONE TEAM FINDS THEMSELVES IN THE EMERGENCY ROOM, ON "THE AMAZING RACE," SUNDAY, FEB. 28 ON THE CBS TELEVISION NETWORK

"Run Like Scalded Dogs!" (Argentina) – A Team is led astray when one Racer overestimates their ability to use a compass while another team rushes off the Race and into an emergency room, on THE AMAZING RACE, Sunday, Feb. 28 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.  Phil Keoghan is host.

I don't know. To me it sounds very likely that the ER team would be eliminated. And I don't think it's Jeff & Jordan either, we haven't seen enough of the alleged bickering between them that they mentioned in a pre-race interview (unless all their bickering is on Leg 3 which seems too unlikely to be true).

I'm thinking Monique & Shawne or Joe & Heidi. Monique & Shawne seem more likely, because they keeping making references to safety ("protect me, Jesus" and the cow in the head thing), and their edit seems to slightly hint at future physical danger. And Joe & Heidi seem like they might get U-turned out of the race for being too "villainous" rather than getting injured (again, based on their edit, which is a lousy one by the way. Who cares if they made an alliance? It's a race - deal with it *coughLouiemike*). I just don't think we've gotten enough out of Jeff & Jordan yet for them to be out on this episode, but maybe that's just me. Sorry for the B:).

Oh, and another thing making it difficult - all three teams have placings that look like they could be good ninth place finishers, especially Jeff & Jordan. 1st, 6th, 9th would (in this case) be awesome. But again, I don't think it's likely for the reasons above.
Title: Re: TAR16 - EP3: "Run Like Scalded Dogs!" (Argentina)

If Jordan & Jeff are indeed the team eliminated in this leg, they will have thw same finish as Season 7's Debbie & Bianca (1st, 6th and 9th). The ironic thing is that both of those teams are gone in Argentina, after finishing sixth in Chile, but that is just assuming that Jordan & Jeff are last.

Analysing the three teams 'in danger' of elimination in Argentina:

Joe & Heidi - 5th, 2nd = Overall: 7
Monique & Shawne - 2nd, 5th = Overall: 7
Jordan & Jeff - 1st, 6th = Overall: 7

They look evenly matched! :yess:

I'm getting a similar vibe as J-Squeeze on all 3 teams:

Monique and Shawne - strong and competitive team early on, only way I can see them going out this early is due to some other sources than just poor racing, i.e. getting injured, or getting U-turned.  And they really aren't THAT big of a threat to deserve a U-turn

Joe and Heidi - another strong team that I can't really see going out do to lack of communication or bad driving.  They seem very likely to get U-turned if that shows up in the next couple of legs.  Like was stated before, they've gotten the early "villain" edit.

Jeff and Jordan - though they are racing relatively well now, they have stated they argue quite a bit throughout the race, which leads me to believe it wasn't just one leg.  i have a feeling, though they'll make it relatively far, they'll fall apart near the end of their race.

3 good teams falling early, allowing 2 mediocre teams and 1 relatively non-exsistent team to pass them up <//////3

could it be that that starts flaring up in this episode?  to the point that he needs medical assistance?

I didn't see these pictures here anywhere and I hope this is an okay place to post if not I am sorry

I think these are from Episode Three

Episode 1603' -- The teams of the CBS series "The  Amazing  Race
16" perform Detour B in which they carry a wooden horse through a Polo
Training Field and hit a ball inside the goal in order to receive their
next clue.

'Episode 1603' -- The teams of the CBS series "The  Amazing  Race
16" perform Detour A in which they receive coordinates and a compass in
which to find buried money bags they then hand over to "bandits" on
horseback in order to receive their next clue.

And this one I'm not sure on, maybe Episode 2? I know I have seen other pictures of this band around places

Okay here are some more, I really hope it is okay to post these here

'Episode 1603' -- Scenics of Argentina on the CBS series "The  Amazing  Race 16."

^ Part of that compass/buried treasure task. (compare this with the small picture of Jeff/Jordan from the EW magazine and it appears to match)

Love the Cowboys, but is it just me or do a lot of these early challenges seem tailored made for them?  I mean really, first the livestock in Ep2 and now lassoing (sp?) things in Ep3, the way it's going I wouldn't be surprised to see bronco or bull riding next

:snicker:  OK, did some quick checks in GE and the views appear to be the same, so looks like it's the small polo field by the bridges we found previously in the "Promos/ Previews/Screenshots" thread.   ;)

"Run Like Scalded Dogs! (Argentina)" -- Jeff performs a Road Block in which one team member must use a lariat to lasso a wooden target in order to receive their next clue on THE AMAZING RACE, Sunday

Two different Roadblocks or two parts to a Roadblock?  It must be 2 parts because why would one of the cowboys chose polo over roping?

Even more likely is that CBS labeled the photo incorrectly.

Polo Roadblock Detour

Interesting that Micheal/Louis and Brent/Caite are shown without shadows while Jett, Heidi/Joe have shadows.

Chateau, we are calling.

I think with the polo task, only one person can be on the wooden horse at a time.

So it's a polo/buried money Detour and a lasso Roadblock?

Polo is Detour B...Detour A must be the task we see Carol and Brandy arguing at.

Lassoing is the Roadblock.

If the Roadblock is first, then Jeff & Jordan may be rather far behind. But if the Detour is first than Joe & Heidi and Louie & Michael may be neck and neck for last. I hope we don't get the same situation with Louie & Michael nearly avoiding last again. :P

Can anyone tell who takes that tumble on the ground? It looks like it might be Brandy, but hard to tell.

I'm leaning more toward Joe & Heidi getting injured now, though. But in that promo Jeff & Jordan look about as happy as Rob & Amber when they are in last place, and Monique & Shawne don't look happy either, so who knows what will happen? :duno:

Carol and Brandy have their Gnome while doing the Detour, but I don't see Jeff and Jordan's Gnome.  The person falling definitely is holding up a Gnome.

Also, I can't catch it, but in the video it looks as though the person who falls has on a blue jacket, and we see that Monique does. :(

And is that Jordan(JJ) with the hands over the mouth? I thought Jordan had on a white jacket.

I just realized something. If Joe gets sent to the emergency room for falling from that horse, then I would think that the Detour would come after the Roadblock. Otherwise, I don't think he'd be in such "normal" condition at the Roadblock (when he's watching with Carol) or even be there with Carol & Brandy, for that matter. So the Roadblock should be first. If it isn't, then another team most likely gets injured. I just don't see someone recovering from the ER that well.

And whoever falls is wearing a purple jacket - which is Steve & Allie's color.

Also fwiw (probably not much) a compass in Nirihuau will show a 7 1/2 degree error.

Yeah, judging by the perspective between the teams and Cerro Leones, it's a big search area: several hundred yards from the bridge to the apex of the railroad curve.

Questions: We don't see any of the polo players with their gnome, so would they have to carry it at all times, or could they put it down with their packs, jackets, etc., while completing the task and then just make sure to have it at the pitstop?

I also like the idea that teams only get a gnome with a particular or winning hand, could it possibly result in a bonus prize if they get to the mat first?

I think it's like clues and passports, if you don't have it with you, you're not checking in.

Just make sure you have it with you at the end of the leg and your fine.

In this weeks TV Guide I received this morning, first picture is the moms reading a clue and TV Guide sayingmthe teams will be in Germany.   In the schedule for Sunday 8/7/10  (The Teams fly to Germany and retrace the early days of the Beatles).

So, that means M/S are still in the race and that leaves JJ & J/H that are eliminated this episode, yes?

Peach, she is right cuz I can see the house behind them that were painted, so we are back to the same 3 teams possibly out.....

The treasure hunters have to carry their gnome, but the polo players get a pass? ???
Also fwiw (probably not much) a compass in Nirihuau will show a 7 1/2 degree error.

Speculation: maybe only the teams that won the poker game got a gnome.

I love that idea!! :jumpy:

And what if you have no gnome?

Speculation

Based on how Brandy/Carol get distracted on the detour, and Joe's fall faceward off the wooden horse (which didn't sound good at all!) leads me to believe they are the last two battling out for elimination. Walkingpneumonia's time stamp put Joe/Heidi on the detour at 2pm (if I read that right) which they'd be behind at least 4-5 teams (also listed with those time stamps). It would make sense for those two teams to be at the roadblock at the same time, if it comes after the detour, since the excursion to the emergency room can put Joe/Heidi back even more. Carol/Brandy could end up at the roadblock just before Joe/Heidi, all battling for elimination, and then end up finishing first just after Joe/Heidi arrive; if Joe is the one to seek medical attention, he might not want to bow out of the race and will try to finish respectively since the injury could have knocked the wind out of him and they checked it out at the ER to make sure nothing was broken.

I don't think the moms are eliminated because they are shown in the aforementioned TV Guide snippet. It wouldn't make sense if they were.

There could also be another bus switchup like the last leg where there are more than two buses to take and depending on connection points....anything can happen.

I hope you enjoyed reading this  B:) thank you! ;)

Well.... I was just listening to the preview again, and it sounds like they spliced two clips together. Listen to about 0:22, when one of them says "I can't do anything right." There is a bit of a pause between anything and right.

And it appears that the detour may be the third task. There are two clues in their hands, so you can guess that wherever they are going is the third task.

And there is definitively a Route Info before the Detour.

It would be a good idea if only the teams who 'win' get a gnome, which you do NOT need to check in to the Pit Stop. The first team WITH a gnome wins a cool prize in that leg. :duno:

Not sure if this is captured elsewhere, but the photo of Steve and Allie on the bus was taken at 2009-12-02 10:18:55-05:00 and the photo taken of the TAR crew getting off the bus in Villa la Angostura was taken at 2009-12-02 10:20:01-05:00.
They get off the bus outside the Italago Galeria - right beside the Belfast Irish Pub! :jam:

Does anyone else think that Steve's face looks kinda scratched in the photo in the bus?

From Jebbers photos http://earthtojebber.com/ (http://earthtojebber.com/) we can see that there were 5 TAR crews at least that got off the bus in Villa la Angostura.
So it looks like Steve and Allie are with a pack of other racers.

Interestingly (to me at least) they seem to have a collection of Beatles albums on the wall of the Irish pub. I don't think the chairs or the rest of the decor match the poker game images.

they are getting rehydrated...they could probably give them a liter or so over an hour or so?? And A shot of Phergan and they will be better...sleepy maybe but better...

So my guess would be that this could easily slow them down by 2 hours, giving getting to a clinic, getting checked in, seen, IV's, fluids, discharged. (Hmmm...does CBS pay the bill??)

They did this last season too. I can't remember what it was now exactly, but we had ONE bit of unspoiled info, and they spoiled it. I would think they would want to play it up on the ads...show the team falling, show poor Joe's nose dive, and then say What team lies helpless in an ER as time ticks away?? Tune in to find out this Sunday at 8!!

I would think that would pull in more viewers than knowing you are just gonna hear barfing. :res:

I thought NEL because we know they are not eliminated, but based on the exit data I think bus bunching is what ended up happening.

That or could they have found a faster route by taking a rental car? We have screencaps of Catie driving and Brent in the back seat that you posted a couple of days ago. Maybe they did not have to take a bus?

Here is the original info from Jebber:

Quote
Quote
Santiago was cool, but still a big city and only having a week left in South America, i wanted to see some Patagonia.  I looked into flights to El Calafate but they were supes expensive, so i went to the Bus station and hopped on a bus going south. On this bus was a camera crew and pairs of Americans that seemed to be working in teams.  A guy from one of the teams came to the back of the bus and asked if anyone spoke english.  Well next thing i know, he surreptitiously starts talking to me and asks if i knew where we were, where we were going, if i could change some currency for them and if i had any maps they could have.  Hmmmmmm putting 2 and 2 together i realized i was on a bus with the Amazing Race.  Well i helped the team, which was a father and daughter from SoCal, out as much as i could until they were off running, chased by cameras, looking for their rental car parked along some random st.

And then more here:

More great info from jebber!!  :thankyou: again!!

Quote
Cool Thanks, yeah the pick is of everyone grabbing their gear, teams and camera crews, as they were dropped off about an hour out of Bariloche. We were on a bus coming from Osorno. I think they were dropped around Villa de la Angostra, and they had to end up at some Bar called the Old Joint (although it must be a nickname cuz i couldnt find it). Their team was supposedly not doing too well. The Dad was Smitty, and him and his daughter were from San Diego. She goes to Pepperdine University. Thats all i remember.. oh and something about a poker game

The closest I could get is "Viejos Tiempos" (Old Times), a pub/cafe down a few km from the city center on the shore of Bahia Mansa. I can't get inside photos though, and as others have mentioned it might not be anywhere near VLA.

I don't have the exact match yet...but based on the paint and style I think it may be possible that the RB takes place on our sheep farm...Estancia Fortín Chacabuco

Compare Jeff to two pics from their website:

Okay..here is the original article. Does it sound like they STAY at the sheep farm?? ???

The Amazing Race recorded in Bariloche
"The city becomes the scene of mega productions for international television, highlighted from the EMPROTUR. The Amazing Race recorded a stage in San Carlos de Bariloche, before continuing in Germany.

With an estimated audience of over one hundred and twenty million viewers, the program again put the city as the scene of mega productions for the CBS signal. In a huge promotional value included recording locations on the Rio Limay and stay Fortin Chacabuco. It is the second time in four years that the producers of the largest program of skills in the world reality format, choose to Bariloche as a backdrop for their productions.

The Amazing Race (The Great Race) is a Reality Show, multiple Emmy winner and is usually given at one-hour episodes in which teams of two or four members around the world are competing against other teams. The CBS program and issued by AXN in Latin America has been on the air since 2001 and has recently completed its thirteenth season. The show is hosted by New Zealander Phil Keoghan and was created by Elise Doganieri and Bertram van Munster. It has been awarded the Primetime Emmy (the most watched slot) in the category "Outstanding Reality Program / Competition" every year since the category was created in 2003 to date.

Original:

Is the card game played at the "Old Joint"?  Does every team have to play ? The brothers are seen doing Detour B and playing the card game right?

I was thinking that this was a route info, maybe even a get a gnome stop. Jebber said that Steve and Allie needed to find the "old Joint"...and there was something about a poker game.

The only other possibility would be if this was a FF...and for some reason Dan and Jordan couldn't do it, and then we see them at polo. I think it is unlikely, but possible. :duno:

Nice!! I wish we could find a picture....

I NEED a pretty map with the sheep farm, the bus drop-off, and the detour locations...I am having a hard time visualizing the distances.

Seems like we have both detours, a starting point. and a maybe roadblock.....

But where is the MAT? :duno: If the RB came last, it would make sense if it was at Chacobuca...but if the RB is first...then where?? Would they send them into Bariloche after all?? ???

Well if the RB is first as we have speculated, it can't be either the MAT OR where they stay the night. But they have cottages, not enough for everyone though.

OK, the Previews on CBS.com say"That the racers are steered off course, when they can't rope one"...

Does that mean that maybe they have to follow a compass in the desert as a penalty if they don't rope the steer? Or have to do another task??? And take longer??? Maybe that is why the times are sooo different at the polo horse area???

I'm not fluent in Spanish, but I think where it says, "stay Fortin Chacabuco" the word "estancia" should be translated as "Ranch" rather than "stay." (It can have both meanings, as well as "visit" or even "stanza.")

And, I think the metal ring on the lasso is just to make it easier.  It would normally just be a rope loop, which might tighten up if not handled properly, and make it harder.

I think Jeff got it, but I don't know if he still has to tighten the loop, and then it might fall off before he completes the task.

Here's a lasso, with a rope ring.  The metal ring replaces that part.  Even this rope loop is fixed, so it doesn't tighten up.

The ring itself would not go around or on the horn per se.  Imagine a slip knot, the ring is the small loop that  the length of rope goes through to make the bigger loop that is used to "hook" the horn. Sliding the length of the rope through the ring controls the size of the loop, pulling the slack out tightens it up.

Does that make sense?

No, I agree with Chill.  Although the picture might be a bit deceiving, it looks like Jeff does have it, he just needs to carefully pull the slack out of the rope....unless they have to "rope" both horns, which would be much harder  :duno:

This is interesting....if this is someone writing on the basis of seeing a couple of future episodes...the only reason I can think of for saying that would be if there was some sort of TBC...:duno: because I thought TBC's were extinct. Anyway, it can't be on the basis of this episode alone... And I thought reviewers were usually only given one episode at a time to review?? ???

But more likely, someone just got their wires crossed...we KNOW from the press releases that we have Germany first then France.

Strange...

Sunday's "Amazing Race" to acknowledge the Chile earthquake
By: Michael Schneider

"The Amazing Race" host Phil Keoghan is taping a special opening to Sunday night's edition of "The Amazing Race," in which he'll acknowledge Friday night's massive earthquake in Chile.

The quake in Chile  -- measuring an incredible 8.8 on the Richter scale -- came, coincidentally, right as the country is enjoying some major publicity in the United States, thanks to "The Amazing Race."

Last Sunday's episode was entirely shot in Chile -- including stops in Santiago, Temuco and Puerto Varas. The seg ended with a Pit Stop located at Gruta de la Virgen in Puerto Varas. That's where this Sunday's episode will pick up as well.

According to CBS, the Emmy-winning series will now include a hastily-produced message at the start of Sunday's episode, as host Keoghan explains that the "Race" episodes were taped months ago. Keoghan will also direct viewers on where to find more information on how to help the people of Chile.

This isn't the first time "The Amazing Race" has had to acknowledge natural disasters that took place after filming. In 2005, the show ran a disclaimer before an episode that took place in Sri Lanka -- and filmed several weeks before the deadly 2004 tsunami struck that country.

And the timing of J/J doing that show posted in the Media thread...seems somewhat unusual to me. But I don't kniow for sure who goes...only J/J amd the Wangs would be my 2 most likely, since they used the Mom's pic in the TV Guide blurb for next week. But that is a GUESS.

It could just be meaning that J&J fall behind during the episode, but not necessarily get eliminated. I think this could actually be an intentional red herring. But we'll just have to wait and see. My blood pressure is dangerous right now with all this suspense!

  From what I can tell, it's an empty field... no estancia in sight (not sure what that funny circular grouping of trees is to the right).   However, given TPTB, and what we know of BVM's tiny mind, IMO, this would make a heck of a pitstop location... very scenic.   :duno:

Last night, on another board, Murtz posted he didn't know, and it was a guess this week.

As for them being on The Baub Show tomorrow, Bob has wanted them back on the show for a long time. To me, it's no different than them doing radio or magazine interviews during the past few weeks.

Have any other teams from past seasons given interviews while they were still in the race? I know they give them after being eliminated, but before that seems odd.

How reliable is Murtz and how would he hear more than you do?

How well do you trust his writings? I put the link on The Media site....

The Amazing Race 16 (CBS) 8 p.m.

The nine remaining teams travel from Chile to Argentina.

Murtz says: Not looking good for the Big Brother team.

It could just be meaning that J&J fall behind during the episode, but not necessarily get eliminated. I think this could actually be an intentional red herring. But we'll just have to wait and see. My blood pressure is dangerous right now with all this suspense!

You and me both....

Just going by the Panoramio geotags, Fortin Chacabuco is about 6 miles north of the Detour site (kmz attached).

Frommer's Review

Step back in time to the old Patagonian pioneer days, at this country store dating back more than a century. Little has changed since the days when Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid purportedly stopped in for a meal. It's northeast of Bariloche, on the road to Villa La Angostura, past the airport turn-off and the town of Dina Huapi. The menu is pure Patagonian, including lamb slow-grilled on a spit and every cut of beef you could imagine, from T-bone to tongue. This makes a great stop for a midday meal if you are on a sightseeing drive.

Jet and Cord - Once again, a swift, flawless leg ran! How do they do it so fast! But as much as I like them, I hope that they will not go on dominating the race. It's gonna be really boring.

Steve and Allie - Wow, coming in second was awesome! Loved it that they came from the middle of the pack to the top. And Steve gets the "Cowboy of the Day" award! That was quick work at the Roadblock.

Carol and Brandy - These ladies are doing surprisingly well leg after leg. They kinda annoy me sometimes with their squabbles but I've to admit, they're really funny at times.

Joe and Heidi - Doing really well too. I did think that Joe would get rather aggresive on the race and all but so far, he's fine towards Heidi. But perhaps that's cos we're not getting that much edit of them in the first place, hmm.

Jeff and Jordan - Hello, please read your clue carefully! Thankfully that didn't cost them the race.

Dan and Jordan - I actually kind of like these brothers, hmm. They aren't doing too well though are they.

Brent and Caite - They're pretty impressive this leg, I must say. From being sick to leaving the pit-stop 3 hours later than scheduled, they did an awesome job catching up. I thought it was pretty sweet of them to encourage the mums at the Detour. But I don't know, I'm still neutral towards this team. They need to stop arguing and be nicer to each other hm.

Louie and Michael - For a team that said they were gonna come in first every leg, they aren't doing too well are they. They've been barely surviving elimination the past three weeks now.

Monique and Shawne - I didn't use to pay much attention to this team, but I felt really sad when they were eliminated. They just tried so hard, at the Roadblock, at the Detour, even switching tasks when they knew they were in dead last and everyone was gone. And they're such nice people! Maybe they should have prayed right at the start of the Roadblock but that's not my point lol. I'm proud of them and I'm sure their children are too. They are the mums who never gave up! :)

This was a good leg, though, It seems to me that the cowboys had a big advantage in this leg

Jet and Cord did very well in this leg! Somehow, I agree with the above comment that they shouldn't dominate the race. But overall, They are my most favorite Hope they do well in the coming legs

I was surprised with Brent and Caite In this leg despite being sent to the ER and getting lost, they did well during the tasks and climbed out of last place, Good for them!

Monique and Shawne being eliminated, Not really my favorites but they did try their best during the race, Those were difficult tasks but never gave up at all

I don't know that is it just me or the other teams seem "boring" during this leg :groan: hopefully they get better

Hope to see more

For some reason, they seemed to be interested in showing Team Ellen Degeneres for the past 3 episodes.

Yep. And it's getting on my nerves. Since they are almost constantly with Joe & Heidi, the married parents are getting overshadowed by them. Joe & Heidi depart the Pit Stop and...no confessional for them. Why not? Then we just get Carol & Brandy who, naturally, get a confessional to start off every leg. What happened to every team getting a confessional at the start of every leg? They seem to have almost reverted back to TAR 14 (lousy) balancing of team edits. We'd care more about every team in this cast if only all of them were shown. :P

Oh, and of course we had very little from Steve & Allie this episode. More indeed, but not nearly enough. Cut out the Carol & Brandy arguing time, the unnatural tendency to only show the first two teams, and the overbearing Jet & Cord time (I like them but they'll get old too quickly at this rate), and we'll be in better shape.

They and the cowboys are the only two teams who did not mess up majorly in the last episode. Remember the conservation of air time: if someone makes an error, they get more time than someone who doesn't.

Since Jet and Cord are rocking the race, Steve and Allie get the short end of the stick  :(
