hmmm... quick check of the USC sports web page says USC vs. UCLA football today, UCLA water polo team is in a tournament in LA, but basketball team played locally yesterday and will again tomorrow.... I guess a local team really stays in a hotel before the game? :duno:

All three of the people that tweeted about it are either from LA or in LA. This guy is from Boston but vacationing in LA and he tweeted that he saw them in his hotel room:

Hi guys my first post!
I live in Vina Del Mar Jeff and Jordan were the last team to arrive at the castle.
And there was a roadblock swimming task were Jordan was the one who did it for her team.
We've already come to the conclusion that the guy who posted that is a fake.
As a matter of fact, I suggest these Jeff and Jordan sightings be taken with skepticism. Like Maria and Tiffany, they are the team people will recognize and will no doubt be used to provide false leads due to their "celebrity status".

they are def. on there second leg, they should eb on the third leg in a day or two. IMHO. it only films for 29-31 days. but you really hardly know who is eliminated until the third or fourth leg. BC even if you are eliminated 1 or 2 you still race with everyone, so that the real world cant find out who lost. But thanks to this site we have spys ha.

Why would something posted 10 days ago make us think that our current race is in Uruguay? I am totally not getting the connection.???

Krypixel, whose tweets (posted today) were analyzed and translated upthread, doesn't have a location on her twitter profile. Her blog post from the 20th referenced Uruquay. She's apparently relatively poor, so lengthy travel likely isn't an option for her, so she probably lives in the area.
The hunch is still that her taxi driver was referencing seeing TAR LA, and not live racers, though, so it's probably all for nil.

I forgot t add in my last post, that his ressponse to me was 35minutes ago.

Okay, this doesn't make sense though. At 4:34 a.m. on 11/30 the guy said he saw J/J in red shirts. But there was a tweet at 5:06 p.m. on 11/29 from Melzaroo who said he got asked for directions from J/J, and they were wearing baby blue and black.
As we all know, the pit stops are 12 hours long. So let's say J/J were headed to the pit stop when Melzaroo saw them. Let's say that they got there and weren't eliminated. Even if it was shortly after Melzaroo's tweet that wouldn't leave enough time for a 12 hour pit stop before the 4:34 a.m. tweet having them wearing red, as he said in a later tweet.
Something doesn't add up for me.
People don't always tweet immediately...sometimes it is hours later...so times are not ever reliable unless they say "right now' or "an hour ago"
tweet time, response time doesn't matter...what matters is the time they saw whatever.
You have to ask the right questions!

Since that version just finished airing (I assume), the iconic TAR imagery may been fresh in locals minds more than the usual, and I'm hoping that would prove more beneficial than Jeff/Jordan sightings.

Back in October Jeff did a charity event in Chicago and it was the first weekend him and Jordan were not spending together since being out of the Big Brother House, that weekend a person started sending out tweets about Jeff to get fans panties all in a bunch, it is believed that the same person created multiple personalities and tweeted conversations amongst the personalities about some pretty raunchy things that occurred that night, obviously what they said was happening didn't happen, they had no proof and they disappeared for the most part, that is until it was announced Jeff and Jordan were on TAR
The names I remember off the top of my head are BBNanSee, MollyMShephard, Mariasoliz, Jeannievanrhys...but there was about 20 different names, so you can look at just about any of those and see who they are tweeting with a lot and most likely it is one in the same, hope that helps a little :)

First let me say that I have been lurking here a while & am a HUGE TAR fan! I have watched ever since Season 6.
And it's sad that this post is what brought me out of lurkdom, but I had to explain this.
BBNanSEE & jeannievanrhys are fake accounts. They are actually one of 7 fake accounts set up by one crazy person. They tweet completely false made up things about a lot of celebrities, many of them reality people, and themselves. Jeff is their newest addition. These accounts are known throughout the BB community & any tweets by them about Jeff and Jordan and TAR should be disregarded & not even acknowledged. The other accounts used by this one person (who most believe is a 15 yr old boy) are mollymshephard, jerisweetie, Mariasoliz, SallyMitchellVT, michellesexyi.
Clearly, these people couldn't possibly have gotten info from people they say that are supposedly racing & know what has happened. BBNanSEE tweeted a couple of days ago that Sylvia & Anna yielded Jeff & Jordan on the first leg & got them eliminated. Or, maybe TAR is now allowing the teams to keep their cell phones & text or call people during the race & give them updates.LOL!!
Just thought you all would probably need this information & not waste your time dealing with these twitter accounts.

The reports of where teams probably sent are interesting because of ties to past Amazing Races. AR11 ep. 3 went to Puerto Montt, distinguished by the Fish Whisperer ROADBLOCK in nearby Metri and the white water rafting DETOUR near Petrohue. Bariloche is the site of the AR5, ep.3 Chocolate Factory ROADBLOCK. I am waiting for a sighting in the Mendoza area so teams can relive the infamous AR7 Meat ROADBLOCK at Camping Suizo, but Bariloche is about 600 miles south of Mendoza so this may not happen.

Just an fyi, bbnansee admitted in a tweet that she was lying about Jeff as well, to piss off his fans, and everything in the post I quoted is 100% correct. And as we all know, as was pointed out, teams go into sequester at Elimination Station. I don't know what sort of communication they're allowed, but somehow I doubt it would be much from ES.

The guy in "Masada" last year also seemed like a pretty normal guy who faked a clue. The text on the envelope looks too well-centered to me, compared with past envelopes, which have the text closer to the bottom of the envelope (see below).
Also the font on "RACE" is not heavy enough and the envelope is too big. I smell fake.

An amateurish attempt to fake a sighting - but they went to a fair amount of work to set this up - like Steven Cohen of Masada did last season.

Such a long shadow, at noon in Lima? Sun's at 80° in the sky, plus it's currently overcast with 90% cloud cover. (Compare that to Los Angeles' 22° high sun and clear skies with 15% cloud cover...)
So we've got exif evidence, shadow evidence and clue shape/size evidence. These fakers have got to step up their game!

he theme of the show is to demonstrate how various couples deal with the challenges and pitfalls of attempting a long-distance hitchhike to a strange city, together with all the difficulties presented by trying to communicate in a language they don't understand. Tension was added by including couples who had broken up "in real life", but were willing to work together for the sake of winning the race.
In somewhat similar fashion to The Amazing Race, couples that come in last at various checkpoints along the way are eliminated from further competition. In the second series, each of the couples was given €1 per person/per day as their stipend along the route.

yes I read that the other day. But here is the thing. The newspaper/blogger isnt following them. This is CBS and TAR we are talking about. When have you know CBS or TAR to go up to a reporter and tell them "hey this is were we are going, leak it to the world." I highly doubt the reporter camped there for 12 hours till early AM to see what the racers got as a clue. So they werent "spotted" anywhere, they were assumed to go somewhere. So they could be in Tembukto for all we know.

I'm Colombian, I speak Spanish and Portuguese and a little bit of French. I live in the US, I've been reading some of your posts and, wow, you guys are amazing! great detectives!!!!
I was just reading some of the posts, and it seems that the guy talking about "The Alps" was actually referring to "The Andes", going from Chile to Argentina you HAVE TO cross the Andes. It makes sense to me.
The other thing, the AR latin America version is just about to end and one of the final couples is form Argentina so, many of those Spanish-Portuguese tweets are just cheering them and the other 2. So, I wouldn't worry to much about it.

But reading the above article, it states that the grandmother and grandaugher where eliminated after the tasks in Puerto Varas. Hopes this helps. If you need any other help with translations Spanish - english, I will gladly help.

Would the race travel from South America's eastern side to southeast Asia? That seems like a really long trip and flights go through Sydney and the Phillipines, where I would think they would compete before continuing.
How about Centre Point in London?

If they are still in South America, why would we not pay attention to Spanish tweets? Half of the tweets we have since they've been down there have been in Spanish. Just because there is a Latin America version of TAR doesn't mean that people who speak Spanish might not be talking about the American version. ALL tweets should be looked into.

Yes, but TAR 16 is still running during that time, so there could still be Spanish tweets for TAR 16 hidden in the midst of all the TARLA ones.

But what they posted is incorrect. None of the teams have actually been spotted in Paraguay. One person saw something that could be TAR-related. But we don't know for sure if it was or not.

This is my first real season watching spoiler sites for TAR when the season was actually filming, honestly due to a team I know and was a fan of being in it. I've read y'alls threads before on TAR spoilers, but it was usually during or right before the season aired. Is it normally this "dry", meaning not a lot of info coming in halfway through the season?

From what I have gathered by being a long time lurker until awhile ago. Is some season you get it handed to you in your lap and some season you have to work really hard. Some season you have a great amount before they are done filiming. Some season you have to wait till its done filiming and the beans start to spill before air date. Its like going to vegas. Sometimes you hit and sometimes you dont. Its like a game haha. Thats what makes it fun.

I would like to believe her tweets, as I'm rooting for Jeff and Jordan, but at the same time she did just make her tweets public so it's possible she's trying to drive traffic to her blog by posting false info. I honestly couldn't say, but her tweets would be more believable if she provided more information that wasn't already public speculation (aka 4 teams eliminated and next leg in germany), if she really has an informant that spotted them, then, who else did this person spot? Where in Germany were they spotted? What were they doing? Is there a picture of this sighting? These are things she could answer to try and validate her claims. Maybe someone can ask her these questions.

NM, now her tweets are protected again, that last all of about 5 minutes. Guess she figured she can't get new followers if she just gives up her "secret info" for free. Did some research on both of these tweets. From what I can tell, both sgBEAT & ghouls117 are located in Singapore. The first tweet confuses me a little because HTA is Chita, Russia.
Could the teams really be in Singapore? There's also the possibility that this could be TARAsia.

Just a few pointers: Here in Singapore, there are many TAR based theme challenges, so don't get mixed up by this, as many schools, camps and even churches organize this. regardless what, i doubt that TAR16 will ever visit Singapore, after the poor concept in TAR3, i am still praying that TAR16 comes to Singapore

It tends to vary between seasons. Last season had pretty much every leg spoiled (only 2 legs technically weren't officially spoiled IIRC: Cai Be, Vietnam and the second leg in Dubai, UAE). Season 13 had a decent amount of spoilers, but there were even more legs where we had no clue where they were going until the map release. So this season is just a little dry. It happens. Spoilers might not start leaking in for weeks, maybe even until right before CBS releases the map.

Strange - the picture was taken and sent from a Blackberry - so no gps info. EXIF says photo taken 2009-12-14 00:45:05 -05:00 .
But the user does have a IPhone gps location thing on his twitter account - which gives us 34.428921,-118.553894 - somewhere in Santa Clarita CA.

EXIF says photo taken 2009-12-14 00:45:05 -05:00 - which is the time and timezone on the camera. You're still correct though - it would be east coast time (EST) if they haven't reset their camera time to wherever it is they are.
If it really is 5:45 local time - it is probably in the southern hemisphere - the sun has long since set in - for instance Russia...

surprisingly, the only one on the list is the Philippines, and that's only certain regions
but, like WP was saying, we could probably rule out Russia, Mongolia, and at least the northern half of China (if the local time really is 5:45pm)
you could possibly rule out HK, Macau, Malaysia, and Taiwan (all of which were used in recent races, but i guess that never stopped WRP before...)
the same could probably be said for Perth (doesn't mean I don't think they'll go to Australia this race tho)
so that leaves us with the possibility of Singapore, Brunei, Indonesia, or Philippines (at least in my book)
or it could just be waiting for a flight connection which puts HK, Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, and Macau back on the map

AR4 ep. 8 went to Kota Kinabalu, Manukan Island for the blowpipe/arrow/spear ROADBLOCK. Ep. 9 then went to Poring Hot Springs for navigation of rope bridges, the Orangutan FAST FORWARD, the infamous Chop or Haul DETOUR and finally a ROADBLOCK to climb the rope ladder at Gomantong Caves before finishing in Sepilok. This were some of the most exciting tasks for all of AR4.

according to many websites, sentosa is only about a 30 minute drive from the changi airport in singapore. Perhaps their visit to sentosa was part of the leg or the decoys were there since we have noonish sightings of them on the singapore flyer....

Only possible "young" F/F matches who are would be the "lesbian" couple or the AA moms, and from Chateau d If's photos, I wouldn't categorize either team as being particularly young (although youth is in the eye of the beholder...) So maybe it really was a Hong Kong travel show...?
The women with short hair looked like they could be as young as 25. One said "Dude! you know I can't tell you that!" :cmaslol

What about the Singapore Flyer being closed for a few hours? When i arrived at 5.30pm, it was open for operation and i definitely did not see ANY helicopters flying around at that time for filming because i looked at every capsule and was certain that no filming was being done at that point of time.
Something i left out mentioning.
At the Courtyard at Raffles, i spotted a camerawoman from Mediacorp (Broadcaster of Channel 5, which airs the amazing race and planned the TAR 3 Singapore leg) and she was waiting for a cab outside Raffles Hotel. Do we have any wind that teams were actually somewhere nearby?
Also, i'll try and find out if Mediacorp was involved in the planning of the leg for this time again. Someone who knows can help please?

Joab, my sense is that in the past, TPTB have tended to go back to people or firms they've used before to get production assistance. So IMHO, Mediacorp might well have been used.

While I would consider riding the Singapore Flyer, the world's tallest Ferris Wheel, to be one of the must-dos in Singapore, the night we went it was amazingly uncrowded -- in fact, we came very close to getting a tube of our own. My friends and I got there around 6:30, an arrival perfectly timed for sunset, which happens quickly this close to the equator. We navigated the maze of shops and ramps to the entrance and we hopped onto the slow-moving wheel without it even stopping. We got great looks at the skyline and harbor as the sun dropped behind the tall buildings. We got a great perspective on the ongoing construction of the world's largest casino complex and on Singapore's floating soccer field. Additionally, we could see an unending line of ships at anchor, waiting for their turn to enter busy Singapore Harbor. All in all, the ride took just a hair over 30 minutes and regaled us the entire time, all for about $20.
If we had wanted to splurge, for $199 we could have gotten a tube that came with a full-service dinner on nice linens and fine china, with champagne. In fact, n the tube behind us, we could see two young girls were being filmed doing just that. Since we envisioned that the dinner would be an occassion for romance and dinner, and the girls were rather shoddily-dressed, we were trying to come up with scenarios for what was going on. Was it a reality TV show? It turns out we were close -- a Hong Kong Travel show was filming its Singapore adventure

I did not realise that they were filming the amazing race until the 2nd sighting, therfore no pictures were taken.
I was at the singapore flyer at about 11am, 16 dec 2009, when i saw the 1st group, male/female team(young couple, long hair girl dressed in blue).
As the flyer was closed for shooting until 12.30pm, my family and i proceeded to sentosa's underwater world, where we spotted the 2nd group, male/male group (middle aged man, dressed in blue too.) wondering around Rasa Sentosa Hotel car park at abt 1pm, same day.

Just coming to say that Yirene kindly updated the blog so we could see the pics! She saw them about 130, Basically, there were 2 persons walking up the marina barrage steps towards the green pasture at level 2 and they were carrying huge blue haversacks.

I'll refrain from speculation in here after this, but if that middle-aged couple (purple bandanas) doesn't fit, another possibility could be that it was the "lesbian couple" who was sighted. One of them is blonde and the other is brunette. The blonde could have possibly been mistaken for a guy due to the short hair, if seen from a far distance away.

I've developed a Twitter "friendship" with ColetteLala, the lady that tweeted about JeJo being seen in Germany. She just sent out some tweets saying that another source of hers said JeJo may have been out in leg 2 or 3 BUT she also clarified for me that while her info came from the same source, that this source got their info from two different sources. She's looking into it with her source further and said she'd give me info when she gets it. Take it as you will, but I do believe her. Don't shoot the messenger.

Peach, in the picture that Chateau took at the airport - the team that he calls Mike and Louie, have blue and gray back packs (mostly blue though). Also, if you look closely at the design of the back pack in the airport photo, it's a dead ringer for the back pack in the picture from marina barrage.

What she posted about re: Germany was simply that they were spotted there and had survived the first four legs. But she did also say as the race ends she could also possibly get other information about the race itself and if she sends me anything directly has said it's cool to post wherever I wanted as long as she got credit, of course.

Like I said, it's up to y'all to believe it or not, but her blog has gotten her some insider friends. Hell, my site got me some insider friends. They share information sometimes and she shares it with her followers. She has nothing to sell and nothing to hide. She has no motive to f with anyone and honestly, considering she detests JeJo she'd do something a lot more creatively than this.

If you read her blogs, she's obviously not a big fan of Jordan, therefore - without proof of their elimination, she would have been tarred and feathered if she'd mentioned this back then. However, now that the mexico photo is out, she can discuss more of her knowledge of the race without the deluge of naysayers! IMO, without the photo coming out yesterday, I would have doubted her as well and chalked it up to her dislike for Jordan.

I think shes full of **** and has no sources, maybe flying saucers but not sources. I just think its convenient that she changed her "sources" right after the Mexico photo appeared and FWIW we have no evidence of a leg in Germany, nothing but hear say from the news paper report. Doesn't mean they didn't fly through Germany ie transit.
ETA: I'll even take it a bit farther and predict that she comes up with another source to cover her tracks once more spoilers emerge.

I honestly thought we were taking all things we find and dissecting them and honestly, this isn't a slam on someone, but because she gives her opinions so freely, not only about the people on the shows but also about the various boards that talk about her, could that maybe be why some are skeptical to believe her? You can remove this post if you want, I don't want to cause discord, just sayin.

Her "opinions " are not in question, but here we go on evidence. That can either be a proven track record (we all know not all sources can be acknowledged), or firm evidence such as a photo. To a detective, without one of those things, any info has to be analyzed, dissected, and held to be possibly untrue until proven. It isn't personal.
let's move on. I would love to see any real evidence though, if some appears, until then Germany remains a question.

Cause when we go up all the way up, it is a great view to see whole Singapore and a perfect stop for Pitstop or maybe they is some route info there as there are Kite flying there...

I think it was the article by the reporter in Chile who said something about going on to Germany from there...and then after that article got out this Colette lady said she had a "source" that told her they were in Germany. I'll try to find it.

Actually, all the tweets that I ever saw posted on here simply just had the words "Amazing Race" in them. Were the fans of Jeff & Jordan hoping they had something to do with Jeff & Jordan on TAR? I'm sure they were. But, all that extra help that those fans provided, IMO, helped a lot more than it hindered. A lot of those fans were trying to find posts that gave clues as to where the teams were too. I've been watching TAR ever since season 6. But, I also am a BB & Jeff and Jordan fan. I haven't spent any time at all searching for information. But, there were a lot of people that spent hours searching through twitter & travel blogs in order to find out where teams were at. That's a lot of extra help from Jeff and Jordan fans that never would have been there. At this point the only other team that had been photographed during the course of the race that had been suspected as being eliminated were the G/G team. There just hasn't been any information about other teams. Had there been more, I'm sure that would have been discussed here, as well.

IS THE Amazing Race making a pitstop in Singapore again?
A US film crew was spotted at the Singapore Flyer and Bugis on Wednesday. And it looked like they were laying the groundwork and preparing for the impending arrival of contestants as the signature red and yellow striped envelope which participants need to find was seen by someone who posted it on the Net.
But contestants were nowhere to be seen.
Now into its 16th instalment, the US reality TV game show first came to our shores in 2002 during its third season.
According to Ms Nicole Lee, 30, who works at Singapore Flyer's Japanese restaurant Hibiki, the tourist attraction was strangely quiet on Wednesday morning. Curious, Ms Lee asked the receptionist, who confirmed that The Amazing Race had indeed been filming there in the morning.
She told The New Paper: "When I arrived for work at about 11:30am, I saw a helicopter hovering above us, which is unusual."
Singapore Flyer's marketing communications manager June Leong confirmed that it had been hired for filming a commercial TV production", but did not specify which one.
Later that afternoon, the crew moved on to Bugis where they were seen filming with an ice-cream street vendor.
Miss Stephanie Tang was on the way back to her office at Parkview Square after lunch at Albert Centre when she spotted them.
Being a fan of the series, Miss Tang immediately recognised the signature red and yellow stripped envelope. So she snapped a photo and posted it on Twitter.
The 23-year-old marketing communications executive told The New Paper: "They were at The Bencoolen at about 1pm.
"The film crew asked an ice-cream vendor to hold on to a red and yellow envelope. I didn't spot any contestants around."
Back in 2002, we saw The Amazing Race teams wandering through the National Orchid Garden, swimming across a manatee enclosure at the Singapore Zoo and getting wet in Suntec City's Fountain of Wealth. They also navigated maze-like HDB corridors in Choa Chu Kang, after which actor Gurmit Singh - playing Phua Chu Kang - handed them clues.
Finally, actress and former Miss Singapore Universe Jaime Teo greeted them at the Mount Faber pitstop.
As for this season, it seems filming of the race started at the Los Angeles International Airport. While details have not been released, Entertainment Weekly reported that rumoured contestants Jordan Lloyd and her boyfriend Jeff Schroeder were spotted at the airport in competition attire late last month.
Lloyd is US reality TV show Big Brother 11's winner and Schroeder was a fellow participant.
The film crew and contestants have also been spotted in South America's Puerto Varas and San Carlos de Bariloche, according to Spanish news websites.

I agree TARandJJFan, you all have been a wonderful addition to the TAR spoiling and we are grateful to all that contribute. I don't think Joab was saying that we don't appreciate you all. In addition to the BB fans we are coming off of TARLA and TAR15 plus many are viewing past seasons of TAR. I think South Africa is now watching TAR14 and Lord only knows what Countries are viewing what seasons just now so it all gets frustrating at times trying to sort out what TAR everyone is talking about.

Since JeJo were spoiled to be on the race, their fans have been posting loads of TAR related tweets which i think were really quite annoying and a hindrance to TAR spoiling. Sorry JeJo fan... but flipping through 10 pages of tweets to read only about JeJo being on the race, was really annoying.
Actually, all the tweets that I ever saw posted on here simply just had the words "Amazing Race" in them. Were the fans of Jeff & Jordan hoping they had something to do with Jeff & Jordan on TAR? I'm sure they were. But, all that extra help that those fans provided, IMO, helped a lot more than it hindered. A lot of those fans were trying to find posts that gave clues as to where the teams were too. I've been watching TAR ever since season 6. But, I also am a BB & Jeff and Jordan fan. I haven't spent any time at all searching for information. But, there were a lot of people that spent hours searching through twitter & travel blogs in order to find out where teams were at. That's a lot of extra help from Jeff and Jordan fans that never would have been there. At this point the only other team that had been photographed during the course of the race that had been suspected as being eliminated were the G/G team. There just hasn't been any information about other teams. Had there been more, I'm sure that would have been discussed here, as well.

Great Post :cmas16 I honestly had a harder time seaching through tweets and FB posts regarding people watching TAR then i did about JEJO fans tweeting about them racing. Plus it was Jejo fans who joined the efforts to search for TAR sightings and found a few tidbits that may have been overlooked. Not to diminish the amazing work of the TAR detectives here, because they are unparalleled IMO, but I don't think it's necessary to beat up on the JEJO fans anymore then they already have been from the likes of people like that bitchy Blogger person, who I'm onthe record for thinking she's full of crap, i mean who puts out two conflicting reports from the same source.
I mean really. ... so you're source says they spotted JEJO in Germany, ok, then a week later, your same source says that they have sources that say JEJO were out 2nd or 3rd, wouldn't that same source say "that can't be true!" to their source since they claim to have seen JEJO in Germany themselves? I've been looking into this post from the message forum. b.batok blk 334 (Bukit Batok Block 334) is apparently an apartment or condominium building. From some research, I found that a mama shop is a convenience store operated by an individual, not a corporation. It is usually located on the ground floor public area (also called the void area) of the condominium and offers cheap snacks, magazines and toys, anything that the building residents might need. Below this post is a picture I found of a mama store.
There appears to be nothing too special about the apartment building. However, there are several detour or roadblock possibilities nearby. It is across the road from the Bukit Batok Driving Centre (where driving tests are conducted) and the Bukit Batok Golf Range (not a golf course, just a driving range). Maps also show a Home Team Adventure Center and I found a school newsletter at http://snipurl.com/tqr0z (http://snipurl.com/tqr0z). The newsletter shows kids at the Adventure Center walking along a wire suspended well above ground, rock climbing, paddling a dragon boat and rappelling (or maybe that's a zip line). There are also 4 primary and secondary schools and an old folks home within a few blocks. The Bukit Gombak stadium is about a half mile or so away. It was a 3000 seat soccer stadium and is now used as a Center of Excellence for the Singapore Athletic Association.
I've tried to post a satellite image, but I don't have the knack. I'll leave that for others. I'd put the image in, but I don't want to hot link it and I think it would post the entire page.
I'm not sure I believe this is where the pit stop was located, but it is somewhat protected and isolated from large numbers of people. It wouldn't be the strangest pit stop ever.

FYI, PCK is of course, Phua Chu kang, the joker-character (yellow boots, curly hair, big mole on his face) that gave away the clues to teams who did the "Dry" detour in Singapore in TAR3.
LKY stands for Lee Kuan Yew, the "legendary" ex-prime minister and leader of all leaders so-to-speak of modern Singapore. I highly doubt he'll be involved in TAR?
And the prata man i have no idea. prata is probably related to roti prata, a local india-inspired delicacy where flour is eaten with curry. perhaps to find someone who makes these pratas? (quite a lot of skill is needed to make the pratas, btw. its a bit like pizza-making)

T3 appears to be Terminal 3 at Changi airport in Singapore. The only other reference I found was to a T3 magazine which makes no sense. Not sure what a bread shop is. A restaurant or bakery? Certainly if a team was killing time waiting for a flight, doing research on the internet would make a lot of sense.

Does the timing work out -- could they get from S'pore to Atlanta by yesterday? Or could it be producers/crew getting set up for something? How does that usually work? Once they get back to the States do they ever do more than one leg, or is always just the final leg?

I think what that person saw at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport may have been a news crew covering the holiday travel season or some other story. Plus where this person saw that is the other question. Were they in the main lobby of the terminal building or past the security checkpoints in one of the concourses. Plus Atlanta is having a rainy and windy day right now so I am pretty sure that the final leg of the race couldn't take place there. Since all final destinations of the race each season took place on a clear or a decent day. Lastly if 6:00pm is the correct time, how could the final three arrive in Atlanta it would be dark already and final destination legs take place during daylight hours.

Wait a minute, I am confused here? Teams were in Singapore on the 16th and the Atlanta speculation from that one Facebook user was on the 17th. How could they leave Singapore the day after and arrive in Atlanta on the same day. If they flew from Singapore to Atlanta, they would have layovers in Tokyo and Los Angeles just to get there. The Atlanta speculation is nothing more than a traveler that sees a film crew and thinks it the Amazing Race being filmed, but I do agree that decoys maybe there early. So unless someone can lookup film permits for the City of Atlanta or the Atlanta Int'l Airport, this would be nothing more than someone speculating.

I meantioned this before but remember that the dateline means that you can arrive in the US from Asia/Oceania before you depart by a couple of hours in some cases.
EDIT: Singapore Airlines flights to LAX go via Tokyo, leaves 9:45am and arrives 11:25am the same day.

Yo guys! Today i spotted a couple of teams at San Francisco's Airport. Jeff & Jordan was there too! They exited from the arrival terminal from either flights Singapore, Taipei, A city/country started with M (forgotten how to spell :P) and Hong Kong? There appear to be like 5,6 teams with 2 camera crew, thats it. Here are some photos:
So, I'm guessing that the elimination station is at one of those location and those teams, including Jeff & Jordan, are eliminated.
Most likely it will be at Singapore since it has been confirmed visiting there and they exit the gate under a SQ flight from Singapore? Furthermore, there was 5 or 6 teams, saw a old couple (women), wearing green, african american women in pink, didn't notice the others. I think I saw a african american male.
There were also two pictures. One of Jordeff. But I don't know how to post pictures here.

I think Jordan cost Jeff the race!!! I watch BB 24.7 and I watch the feeds 24 hours aday. Jeff is usually close and all over Jordan. But in the picture in Mexico he was staring somewhere else and standing away from her. and here at the airport he isnt even close to her. Maybe something happened and she cost the race, or maybe there relationship halted. Jeff just doesnt seem to thrilled in thepast two pictures. just my .02 cents

I am 95% confident that they will end somewhere in the US. It might be outside the continental US or a commonwealth, but they will end in the US. Viewers would be shocked if they didn't, and that does not create good buzz.

No I know that, but i'm curious as to why the eliminated teams have flown in from where the race is presumably taking place and not where the elimination station was presumed to be. PV. Mexico. That's my only confusion, otherwise i assume they are arriving back in the US to await the F3 teams on the last leg.

Ryan83 already explained it -teams from ES were coming from "other places" while teams that were recently eliminated were coming from other places. IMHO...

I think "sucks" just said that BC thats where they were last spotted before now. So they just tried to get 4 by taking 2(last spot sing') plus 2(sf airport). In reality there were other places after Sing' but BC "sucks" doesnt know of them, they are just trying to put a square in a circle whole.

As for how Jeff and Jordan look, it's very possible they are tired from the flight, and it has nothing to do with how they are getting along. And who's to say Jordan was at fault for their elimination?

I just didn't understand which team he meant was eliminated in Bariloche. Because I had thought when the picture of the G/G team was posted from the original article that they were eliminated in a different place.

Filming of the new season of The Amazing Race had been spotted in SG! at the flyer and in Bugis - read it in the papers yesterday and my mum actually saw one team doing the challenge in Bugis that day...
makes me anticipate the next season even more! =)

I've been to the Island Life Shop near Siloso Beach and it's beside a 7-Eleven store if i'm not wrong. However, i don't think there was a task related near there, just that teams were spotted near there and with that picture, comfirmed that teams were also spotted in Sentosa? However, that logo, looks like a corporate building exterior to me and i need to find where exactly was the photo taken...

I don't normally cover Elimination Station to Finish Line flights, but for AR16 that makes sense. Here are the weekday flights from Puerto Vallarta to San Francisco:
UA878 1545 1739
AS221 1630 1824
AA8124 1740 1940
Note that all are late afternoon departures and arrive in the evening on a slightly less than 2 hour flight with 2 hours time zone differential.
I also took a look days ago at whether teams could logically have stayed in Acapulco and take a roundtrip flight to and from Puerto Vallarta to be spotted there. That is unlikely for 2 reasons: there are no nonstop flights between Acapulco and Puerto Vallarta (all require connections in Mexico City or Guadalajara) and there are nonstop stop flights from Acapulco to San Francisco (all require connections in Mexico City or Guadalajara).

Puddin - your post about jeff and jordan reminds me of something I read here by dan or andrew regarding how he felt when he finished racing. He thought he'd be able to keep everything a surprise (as is contract demands) but everyone new more than he did about the race! It will be quite interesting to see how they handle everything.

I saw what I think was an AR crew filming just now (noon PST) on California Street in San Francisco. Was nearly toppled by a man running with a handheld camera. He stopped at California and Larkin to capture the image of two men (I think) walking with a large locked trunk. They were walking towards Polk Street. May investigate further while I buy a pizza slice.

*This is my first time posting on this site and I have pics of teams in Vegas! Wish it hadn't taken me so long to post this, but I haven't had internet access until today. Just read some of the more recent posts and Im hoping this will shed some light into who our F3 might be. Was in Vegas over the weekend and a dream of mine came true, got to see the Amazing Race in action! I was on a balcony and below me, two teams came running by. Both teams looked lost like they were at the wrong place, since they ran down the street right after. Didn't see a third team, they could have come before I got there or went to a different spot. Tried to snap the best pictures I could. But to figure out the time issue, this was in the early afternoon, as I had just finished up with lunch at the buffet. So this would totally fit into the flight times being discussed. So this could confirm two of the F3. I definitely saw the guys in green with pink hair and the Globetrotter team.

Letterman Digital Arts Center is one of the homes of Industrial Light and Magic. It's located on the site of the former Letterman Army Hospital at the Presidio. It's not too far from the Golden Gate Bridge as well.
Since George Lucas owns ILM, I'm sensing a Star Wars task (hence the Star Wars Storm Troopers). Or possibly just a movie special effect task. Or even just a disturbance in the force. :cmas19

the two guys we saw were young and wearing cowboy hats. The officer at customs told me they were from Amazing Race.
She didn't mention the cowboys earlier, so this is some confirmation that they are in the final three.

But what about in other Middle Eastern cities that have connecting fights from Dubai like Bahrain, Qatar or even Amman, JORDAN (btw, there's such thing as the country of Jordan on that region) which are possible places for TAR 16? The Amazing Race 16 in Singapore
Filming of the new season of The Amazing Race had been spotted in SG! at the flyer and in Bugis - read it in the papers yesterday and my mum actually saw one team doing the challenge in Bugis that day...
makes me anticipate the next season even more! =)

i'm afraid she didn't take any pictures, cause she had no idea it's the AMAZING RACE till she saw the picture in the newspaper report! i so wanted to be there too!
well, according to her, there were 2 females, should be wearing grey though she wasn't really sure now. They were selling ice cream and it was about 11+ am. =)
And yes, before y'all ask, photos have been sent!!
My guess is the short haired women in grey camo.

Since Phil and one of the teams were flying from Dubai as a transit point coming from either the Middle-East or Africa, these are the countries from that region that I think the race must have visited.
-Kenya, Uganda, Malawi, South Africa, Tanzania, Rwanda, Seychelles, Djibouti, Libya, Comoros, Jordan, Qatar, Bahrain, Israel, Turkey, Cyprus, and Azerbaijan. Europe is also a good chance maybe from Greece, Bosnia, Russia, Macedona, Montenegro, Albania, Slovenia, Italy, Malta, Slovakia, Belarus, Moldova, Bulgaria, and Denmark. One of these countries must have gotten a visit from the race. Three of these countries are the legs between South America and Asia. I am hoping something like a blog, eyewittness, or tweet from those places could verify if the race visited them.

Letterman Digital Arts Center is one of the homes of Industrial Light and Magic. It's located on the site of the former Letterman Army Hospital at the Presidio. It's not too far from the Golden Gate Bridge as well.
Since George Lucas owns ILM, I'm sensing a Star Wars task (hence the Star Wars Storm Troopers). Or possibly just a movie special effect task. Or even just a disturbance in the force. :cmas19

I got a response from Fiqary.
Yeah, it was emirates and he was with a bunch of people and he got in just at the right time to take off, and I saw him using the public telephone. And obviously he was sitting in the first class seating so I didn't see him in the plane cause there is two different entrance, one for the first & business class and another one for the economy class. And we got in the plane around 10:30 Dubai time and the flight was 6 hours I think and we arrived in Malaysia around 9 or 10 I think. I don't really remember. And when I arrived I tried to look for Phil and he was not anywhere to be seen, I only saw some white people carrying some cameras and I assume that its some of the camera crew for the show. So yeah, that is it.
So it was this flight:

They said they were very frantic and tried to get a cab but there was someone in it. They tried to get the people to give up the cab but they wouldn't so they ran to the next street over, Geary Street and caught a cab there.
I don't know if there was something at the Music Hall or if it was just the nearest landmark to describe where they were. Here is a map of it in comparison to Coit Tower. Notice that it is towards heading back in the direction of Hunter's Point, which would be further to the bottom right of what this map shows.

Doing some Google street view sleuthing - the only other places of note in the area are a Vietnamese cultural centre and the O'Farrell Theatre - which is billed as "The Carnagie Hall Of Public Sex in America" :cmas16 - so probably not the O'Farrell Theatre. Although it does have some interesting murals on Polk and Olive depicting African animals (and whales) - maybe a memory task from the spec African legs?

I saw what I think was an AR crew filming just now (noon PST) on California Street in San Francisco. Was nearly toppled by a man running with a handheld camera. He stopped at California and Larkin to capture the image of two men (I think) walking with a large locked trunk. They were walking towards Polk Street. May investigate further while I buy a pizza slice.

Let's examine Amazing Race history to see what has happened previoiusly in Amazing Race finales:
AR2 - cab from Oakland Inerntional Aiport lets them off, but first task in SF is to walk down the hill to get clue at a pier near Fisherman's Wharf (39?) and then hail a cab to get to the finish line at East Fort Baker across the Golden Gate Bridge.
AR11 - unaired segment from Oakland Inernational Airport to Greatful Dead House on Ashbury St., presumable with taxis held, then trip to Old Mint, again with taxis held, then those taxis to Strybing Arboretum for finish line.

With BIG thanks to TrebledTimes at TWoP for this elaboration on his original sighting on 12/20 in San Fran: (He was linked to our photos for comparisons)
What I can say with 100% certainty was that it was noon PST at the corner of Larkin and California Streets. What I saw were two large guys wearing navy blue fleeces or jackets carrying what looked like a large locked trunk. I was across the street and they were facing the other direction. I'm not sure I could even hazard a guess based on those photos, although I would say with 90% certainty they were wearing navy blue. And the film crew were quite agro (they nearly knocked me over, which is why I noticed what they were doing) which leads me to believe it was actual footage they were after.
Even though the location fits well with the sighting of the Cowboys near the Great American Music Hall...

She pointed them to a nearby McDonalds, but one of them nodded their head, saying no. She is sure that it is an older man, the other might be a girl.
I also know a small girl who told me that she saw people with backpacks, at Marina Bay Area (Singapore Flyer?), but could be a tourist group.

This would be a new visit for us...but while not on the official US travel warning :list", this is a very dicey place to visit...located between Somalia, Eritrea, and Ethiopia, a wee bit risky. Pirates, anyone?? :lol3:

Somebody posted the other day that we have US Marines stationed at Djibouti and one other place that escapes me in Africa. That would dovetail nicely with the rumor I found about the Marines appearing on TAR in 2010. It would also provide at least one task (involving Marines) with no significant danger to the racers from terrorism.
If true, Djibouti should be an interesting stop and could hint at a stop in one of those neighboring countries, which would be fascinating, at least for me. I know a couple of people that are in the coffee business (not very well though) and they don't seem to have any concerns about going to Ethiopia. I'm not sure about the safety of Eritrea or Somalia.

Djibouti, I knew it. The movie "Planet of the Apes" was filmed mostly in that country near Lake Assal. According to wikipedia, Djibouti-Ambouli International Airport serves as a base for the French Foreign Legion, French Military Air Operations, and the US Marines "Camp Lemonier." Ambouli International Airport also has flights to Addis Ababa mainly on Ethiopian Airlines, Nairobi on Kenya Airways, and Paris-CDG on Air France. The others like Yemen and Somalia also have some flights.

Peach's flight information is interesting. What I am about to say could have been placed in Speculation, but i put it here because of its tie to the discussion here. The difficulty of tracking where teams went between Asuncion and Penang can be readily explained if you look at
the route and flights and timing for a trip Asuncion:
ASU GRU JJ8034 1800 2100 Dec. 8
GRU DXB EK262 0125 2115 Dec. 9
DXB JIB D3189 0300 0530 Dec. 10
This gives a total transit time of 29.5 hours but note that there are only 2 connections and they both occur late at night. The Djibouti leg if it happened would be leg 6.
I have a follow-on tracing the route that could have been used from Djibouti. We start with Peach's flight Dec. 11 1800 2100 JIB DXB, then
DXB KUL 0310 1405 Dec. 12
KUL PEN 1610 1700 Dec. 12
To go a step further, here are the timing implications for the rest of AR16:
Dec. 12/13 Penang leg 7
Dec. 14 or 15 PEN SIN - see a prior note of mine for the specific flight information departing around 7am connecting through Kuala Lumpur and arriving between 945am and 1020am
Dec. 15 Singapore leg 8
Dec. 16 pit stop commences
Dec. 17 fly Singapore to Shanghai - there are about 4 nonstops departing from 0055 to 1010 and arriving about 5 horus later.
Dec. 17/18 Shanghai leg 9
Dec. 18 start extended pit stop
Dec. 20 fly Shanghai to San Francisco
Not that this shows only 10 pit stops, so I believe that one location, probably Penang, has 2 legs to make the total 11 legs. The possibility of it being 12 legs is remote in my opinion.
Now, another problem is that not having any legs in Oceania or Europe means that only 4 continents were involved in AR16. I have no solution for that. as going out to Oceania and back would take time that isn't available and the same problem exists with having a stop in Europe prior to Africa.

Leg 6 (Paraguay-Unknown) Leg 7 (Unknown-Djibouti) Leg 8 (Djibouti-Malaysia) Leg 9 (Malaysia)
Leg 10 (Malaysia-Singapore) Leg 11 (Singapore-China) Leg 12 (China-USA)
-To my guess there could be two legs in Bariloche, Argentina. Then they took a 20hr bus ride to Buenos Aires to fly to Asuncion. Then after Paraguay, Leg 6 would probally take place in Africa or Europe. Then after Djibouti, they would spent a leg in Kuala Lumpur, then Penang. Sorry about this being speculation. So we could still have 5 continents even though it would be one leg in Europe. If Europe is not visited, 4 continents are still as long we got Africa and South America.

She would have left Asuncion on PU706 which was scheduled to depart for Montevideo at 9:20am.
The crew that she saw (which she speculated was for Amazing Race) would have either been waiting for PZ713 from Sao Paulo which was due in at 10:10am or PZ702 from Buenos Aires which was due 10 minutes after that.

I'm hunting for inconsistencies here.
First: The last tweet in Asuncion was posted at 3:34am, which translates into 7.34am Paraguay time. (The timestamp's time zone was determined on the day of the postings, when it listed times as "X hours ago.") The arrival time in Montevideo is supposedly at 7.03am computer time, or 12.03pm Uruguay time. This fits well with PU 706, leaving Asuncion at 9.20am and scheduled to arrive at 12.05pm in Montevideo. However, the tweet "finally!!!! see you soon amigos uruguayos!!!!" was posted at 7.34am. What could the "finally" refer to, if the flight to Montevideo leaves two hours later?
Second: Amy posts that "my friend and i assumed the crew were expecting people from BA...that's where the ticket agent assumed i was going." The last flight to Buenos Aires left at 6.00am, and the next one isn't until 1.00pm. Is it normal for a ticket agent at the airport to assume someone was going to Buenos Aires if she arrives at 7am?
