PREVIOUSLY ON .. THE AMAZING RACE:
Phil: Five teams raced to Stockholm. Gary/Matt got lost on the confusing streets and fell to last, as others blasted ahead. At the Roadblock, the 1st Amazing Race Switchback task, Meghan lost control; Dan lost his cool and later regretted it. Globetrotters finished 1st. Gary/Matt couldn't make up the lost time, but were spared elimination. They'll face a Speed Bump.
Five teams remain. Who will be eliminated next?

Phil: This is Stockholm, birthplace of dynamite, the Nobel prize, and ABBA. The 8th pitstop in a Race around the world.
2:28 am, FlightTime/BigEasy (conf: ogling Turks & Caicos), CLUE: Cross the Baltic to Tallinn, Estonia.
Phil: They must figure out how to open the door to Mustpeade.
Getting directions, the Trotters find out they need the Ferry.
They arrive at the Tallinn Ferry. It's closed, b/c it's the middle of the night.
Woman: Next boat is 17:45 in the afternoon.
FlightTime: Is that a long time from now?
EQUALIZED.
Meghan/Cheyne, 4:12 am.
CLUE: Use these keys to open the door in Estonia

Summer, and the Sweden sun is up at 4:30 am.
Brian/Ericka, 4:37 am and it's broad daylight!!
Brian conf: The only leg that matters is the final leg.
Brian: I'm lassoing taxis .. fun sport!
He'll follow the taxista.
Sam/Dan, 5:04 am.
They reflect on their bickering.
Apparently there are 10 keys in the key ring. Perhaps 1 of the ten or a combination opens the Door?
Each team arrives in their Mercedes to find that the other teams are already waiting for the same ferry.
FT/BE are sleeping in their car.
Gary/Matt 6:29 am.
CAUTION! SPEED BUMP AHEAD!

Teams while the day away awaiting the yoooooooge Ferry.
Sixteen hour ride across the Baltic.
All 5 teams are aboard.
Each checks out their cabin and the beds.
BYE SWEDEN!
Gary/Matt's Speed Bump will appear in Estonia.
Night falls and dawn breaks.
The ferry arrives in Estonia.
Teams line up to exit en masse.
As soon as the ferry operator opens the gate, 5 teams race on foot for the end of the tramway.
FT/BE take the lead on foot.
Sam/Dan close behind.
Teams ask taxis to take them to Mustpeade.
Sam/Dan: "Beat that car! We're in a RAAAACCCEEE!"
Somehow Meghan/Cheyne got the first taxi while FT/BE took their time asking directions from folks at the airport. Not a smart move considering the teams took taxis. Duh.
Meg/Ch, CLUE: Use these keys to open the door to your next clue.
Meg: Go through them all systematically !
SPEED BUMP is there too, awaiting Gary/Matt.
Two teams get through the door at once - Meg/Ch and Sam/Dan. ROADBLOCK.
Phil: The brotherhood of the blackheads, a secret society of merchants.
Teams face a RB where one joins the ranks of the brotherhood, descend into the cellar, find a candelabra with a room # attached. They'll be given a scroll. The mystery: If they unroll it and hold it over the lit candle, it will reveal their next clue.

Brian/Ericka try to get through the door. FT/BE arrive and try, too.

Phil: They must find this sauna bus (called SOUNA, apparently), strip and take a 5 min. sauna with a group of locals. They can then re-dress and resume the Race.
They ask folks for directions to find the bus.
The two lead teams search for their room.
The other 2 (B/E, FT/BE) get through the door and read the candelabra clue.
Each clue has a different room #.
That's apparently so that the teams can individually F A I L if they don't figure out how to hold the rolled-out scroll over the candle.
Gary/Matt ancestors are from Minnesoooota or summat and so they love the Souna.
FT starts doing stuff to his scroll in his room, and tries to figure out what to do with it. He takes a crayon and marks on it, as if there would reveal a note.
Cheyne puts his over the candle and tries to read it.
Sauna bus 5 minutes is almost up.
Ericka finds the room, unravels it and finds "there's nothing on it."
Meanwhile, FlightTime has colored all over his and can't see anything.
Sam can't find anything on his even over the candle.
Cheyne finds PIKK HERMANN TOWER GARDEN. That's their clue.
Ericka finds it, too.
M/C leave followed closely by Ericka/Brian
Gary/Matt make it to the Mustpeace. They get the door open quickly.
Some sword fighting is taking place ... lol
Matt can't pronounce Candelabra and has no idea what it is.
The two lead teams look for the tower garden, asking locals for directions.
Sam finally sees a clue. He reads it one word at a time. Sam/Dan leave in 3rd.
FlightTime is still lost. He puts it back over the fire, nothing.
FINALLY FlightTime reads letters and figures it out. They leave in 4th.
Gary is frustrated standing alone while they leave.
Meanwhile, Matt is more lost than words can describe.
He asks a guy .. "Are you a 'Candleabra'? I freakin don't get it. Am I missing something?"
COMMERCIAL.

Off Topic I want Russell to literally die. I haven't seen every season of survivor, but out of the 14 I've seen, he is the first racer that has made me stop watching the show.

Gary/Matt get hit in the head with the cluebox trying to find their brains.
They're going to the DETOUR, finally.
Gary: We're off our game today, bigtime.
Two taxistas talk to each other in the cab. One team asks if the other can be slowed down. NOT!
Totem = DETOUR site.
Meghan/Cheyne arrive 1st. Off they go into the bog to play volleyball.
Everyone has nice swimsuits on.
Meghan picks a pair for her and Cheyne to play against.
Score! 1 .. 2 ... Meghan's good!
3 ... It's hard to go for a pass when you're stuck in the mud!
It'll be another footrace for Sam/Dan and FlightTime/BigEasy when their cab finally arrives at the game site.
Meghan gets aced. Their opponents mess up, though. 4 ...
Brian/Ericka's cab arrives, what looks like about 30 seconds ahead of FlightTime/BigEasy/Sam/Dan ...
They're three teams together now, going to search for an arrow.

FOOTRACE! Teams arrive at the game site. Apparently all 3 of the running teams want to play volleyball.
Apparently there are NOT enough bogs. Yup .. only 2.
As a result, Brian/Ericka "are forced to do the sling."
Sam/Dan and FT/BigE try the volleyball.
Ericka and Brian take turns shooting onions, tomatoes, etc., at the moose target.
Ericka realizes it'll just take one good shot while the others are slogging around in a volleyball match.
Gary/Matt taxi still on the road. They haven't lost hope.
So far, Sam/Dan have 0.
FT/BigE still have 0.
Sam/Dan start arguing.
Dan: "This is taking forever."
Sam: "WILL YOU SHADDAP!"
COMMERCIAL.

BigEasy falls face first into the mud. But his arm is so long he can score with has ass immersed.
Sam/Dan have extra limbs to hit the ball with, enabling them to score a point.
Both teams now have a point.
Both teams now have 2.
Brian/Ericka shooting lettuce balls across the marsh.
Brian/s getting good.
Ericka thinks she'll get it before he does.
FT/BigE 5 points, game over.
Ericka shoots a near miss.
Sam/Dan score their 5th point, game over.
They argue about where the tower is.
Trotters were going the wrong way and have to chase down Sam/Dan.
FOOTRACE!

UGH! Teams hit the dirt!
Phil: Come on, guys.
Phil: Sam/Dan, you're team #2. FlightTime/BigEasy, you're team #3. BigEasy, you look mad! Was there some elbow play?
Sam: I don't see how we could have done anything to them.

Brian finally hits the target. The lettuce fall, and they're finished.

Phil: Do you know if you're last or not?
Ericka: No.
Phil: I'mma put you out of your misery. You're team #4.
Ericka: We gotta be in that top three!
Gary/Matt realize they're the only team remaining at the volleyball site.
They shoot radishes, onions, tomatoes, and other stuff at the moose target.
Woman: Welcome to Estonia.
Phil: Gary/Matt, you're the last team to arrive. Sorry to tell you, you have both been eliminated from the Race.
Gary: We didn't have our A game today.
Matt: It's been an adventure.
Gary: You can't put a price on this experience, and spending the time together. We'll take this for many, many years. Many times I've had to release things to my son on this Race. He stepped up. It was a ball. Super proud of this guy.
Gary cries i.pods of joy.
Matt conf: I never want to see another candelabra in my life.

mswood, I believe the pronunciation was actually sow-oo-na, which I think either Gary or Matt referred to as Finnish. I am going to suggest that since the Estonian language is close to Finnish the pronuciation of each vowel as a single syllable is the way they do it too.

Well, I'll add some personal knowledge as well. I personally know people from Germany, Italy, Russia, Spain, Finland, Sweden, Austria, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Poland and Belgium and they all pronounce "sauna" in the way I described. And I'm reasonably fluent in German and it has the same way of pronouncing "au".

Meghan and Cheyne - At this stage of the race, there's really no helping anyone anymore, eh? Look at how they promised to call a cab for Brian and Ericka but got their cab driver to drive off without calling. But I don't blame them, they weren't obliged to do so, and we're down to the final five. And they rock at volleyball!
Sam and Dan - Ouch, I winced when Dan was taken down by one of the trotters.
Flight Time and Big Easy - They were rather annoying this leg, to me. Come on, navigate on your own and stop riding on other teams' coattails!
Brian and Ericka - Doing good this episode! Love how Ericka has toned down, and totally love how Brian's always so nice. It isn't the wisest thing to do but hey, give me a nice team anytime.
Gary and Matt - I was honestly sad to see them go. Their relationship has really blossomed over the race, they've been working so well together, doing so well. It was a pity they didn't manage to make up lost time but if they had, Brian and Ericka would probably have been eliminated so I'm glad in a way. But I still really like this team, I almost tear-ed when they made their departing confessional. Father-and-son rock on!
And then there were four! Brian and Ericka for the win!!!!!
