We have our very own version of Idol franchise and thought that i'll just share some really good and quality performances with all you AI fans out there to view if you're feeling dry from post AI-8 period.  :funny: There's loads of talent here in Singapore as well!

Watch over the net.. as in LIVE? I don't think you can watch Singapore Idol LIVE unless you're in Singapore. :funny:

As for.. the full episodes? I think just search up Singapore Idol 3 for weekly uploaded episodes. Next Wednesday our top 12 will perform the theme "Song from the year i was born" and i can't wait for the performances.

I will refrain from posting results here because some of you might want to find it out yourself. But i have to say this, the girls are losing out in votes when competing among the guys (a trend for Singapore Talent Voting shows) and the girls always normally go out first. During the Top 13 show, Syltra (the girl who sang Black Horse and A Cherry Tree) was surprisingly voted off after just one mediocre performance of Kelly Clarkson's - Breakaway. Pretty sad and unfair, when half the guys on the show literally have no talent at all.. :(

For the Top 12 week, i personally cringed through Farhan's and Justin's performances. The bottom 3 was instead Tabitha, Malaque and Justin. Find out who got voted off on your own. :(

I'd expected Malaque to be in the bottom three since she's been there and what's more, her performance though good, wasn't impressive enough. But was I shocked to see Tabitha in the bottom three! I was almost traumatised. To me, the best performance of the night award goes to her, and even though the girls are always disadvantaged, I thought she'd have been safe. I half thought she was going home, but thankfully she didn't, it would have been tremendous injustice. Kinda surprised that Justin went home, but as long as it's a guy other than Charles, I'm happy!

I really, really enjoyed Tabitha's performance last night. Malaque's, Sylvia's, Sezairi (vocal-wise) were good, Farhan was terrible but voted in as usual, Charles was extremely awkward (worst song choice ever), the rest were just alright. Seriously, the girls rock this season, so much more than the guys!

I'm currently anti-Farhan, but he's not going anywhere so soon, very unfortunately. I just wish Singaporean voters could vote more with their ears instead of their eyes (in the first place, I've never found Farhan good-looking). Sigh.

There's no elimination this week!

Charles and Tabitha are in the bottom 2 and i was shocked when the host told us no one was eliminated.

Because there could only be 2 reason for it -
#1 The show was to show appreciation to World's Aids Day and no elimination was done (something like Idol gives back)
#2 Tabitha had the least votes and if she got eliminated, it'll be a HUGE upset and HUGE controversy for the show at this point of time.

I'm thinking more of #2..

BUT WHO CARES. Everyone stays and i get to meet my girls for another week! It's still the Top 3 next week i guess!

I don't know about Sezairi, but apparently Sylvia was mind-blowing good. And mark my words, if i had to choose only one of the girls to stay, it will be Sylvia. Her soulful singing is just... irresistable!

Tabitha, the judges really wanted to have her in the Final 2. But apprently the Idol franchise is a popularity competition, thus Sezairi has more votes than Tabitha and thus she went home. Something like a replay of Season 6 of AI final 3, just that this time all the final 3 are good.

Sezairi is the best guy in the competition while Sylvia is the best girl.. thus Tabitha has no chance and was voted out.

Would have loved it to be an all-girl finale!!!! :cmas13 :cmas13 :cmas13

I just LOVE Sylvia's vocals. Wow! She's really very good and her voice is more mature than Tabitha's. Tabitha is good but I wonder if her song choices are her problem. I think she needs to find her style.

Love Sezari as well, I can't wait to see who wins. My bet is Sylvia.

Well, I would have picked Tabitha, but sounds as though the judges think she will have a nice career anyway.

I think I like Sylvia the best now, but would have loved to see a F/F duo at the end.

Sometimes I don't understand the thinking behind the voting, I like both Tabitha and Sylvia's vocals and they are entirely different. Sezari is very good, he'll probably do well irregardless.

Singapore Idol is officially doomed.

For the third time, a male won. And for the third time ever, a malay (Singapore consist of different races mainly Malay, Chinese, Indians and Eurasians) won.

This is sick.

The problem with Singapore is that the country has too little population. We have around 1 million votes for the finale only. Which means that if there are 1000 fan girls who are willing to give 100 votes each to Sezairi, he will have 100,000 votes easily.

Sezairi was clearly not the best. Sylvia was the most consistent performer the entire season. Girls doesn't have a chance with singing competition like this in Singapore because there are no crazy fan guys who are willing to vote for the good and talented girls. That's why Tabitha got eliminated and Sylvia didn't win. Tabitha and Sylvia both have to endured through countless times of being in the bottom 2/3 even though they were the best from the beginning.

And i seriously thought Singapore was going to be good and vote for a GOOD female idol to win, that's why i was very excited and posted all the videos.

Now it's just sad.... and i've given up on the show. No more Singapore Idol for me. I'm sticking to American Idol, at least the talented singers will last longer and always ended winning (not for Adam because he wasn't appealing). But yup, at least the girls have a higher chance surviving on American Idol.

DARN! I thought Sylvia was the best.  :(  I don't know how your AI singers fare in Singapore but she clearly is a talented singer so perhaps as it happens here in the States, she will do much better than Sezairi. I hope that is the case.
