Bulgarian 'Survivor' contestant dies while filming

"Survivor" contestant Noncho Vodenicharov, a cast member of the Bulgarian version of the hit reality show died while filming on beach in Manila, according to the Associated Press.
The 53-year-old had just completed one of the contest's tasks at the Gota Beach Resport in eastern Camarines Sur privince in the Philippines, when he succombed to a heart attack, Philippine police told the paper.
Despite efforts by at least two doctors to save him, Vodenicharov died Saturday.
Prior to his role on the show, the contestant had been a town mayor, a stunt man and a singer.

I think something like this would kill the US version of Survivor...how scary for everyone involved with this!

Just a correction in the article: Manila =/= Camarines Sur... They're not filming in Manila, if they're filming there as well, they might have all been watched by plenty of bystanders, the homeless and the poor. While Camarines Sur is one of the most well known beaches of the country right now, next to Boracay Island... :D

Just a correction in the article: Manila =/= Camarines Sur... They're not filming in Manila, if they're filming there as well, they might have all been watched by plenty of bystanders, the homeless and the poor. While Camarines Sur is one of the most well known beaches of the country right now, next to Boracay Island... :D
Manila and Camarines Sur = very far from each other. [:
And lol, manila isn't like an abandon island to have survivor, it's a big city with many gossip mongers that will spread everything through Luzon. ;D

Hm, I don't necessarily think it would kill it, but there would certainly be a lot of huge changes regarding casting and health restrictions, and would undoubtedly end older contestants appearing on the show altogether.

Yes, it's like a half day trip from Manila to Cam Sur!
I watched this last night. It's a very sad story.
