The title sounds like it came from Stephen. A JT and Stephen final two is expected, but I just wish for things to get shaken up. Like maybe, Erinn makes the final two! Alright, I'll just continue to dream.

I wonder if JT and Stephen turning on each other is as serious as it sounds. I do like both of them and I think they deserve to be the final two, but that'll be so predictable. What'll be great is Taj and Erinn in the final two! Wow. But nah, probably won't happen. I can only hope that it's at least a guy-girl final two.

This doesn't make sense. Let me put it out in a more layman's term.
After the F4 backstabs Taj/JT and vote her/him out, then voting out Erinn at F3.. Stephen and JT/Taj turn on each other at the jury tribal council.
Does that makes sense? Tell me which two do you see turning on each other? JT and Taj? JT and Erinn? Erinn and Taj? Taj and Stephen? Stephen and Erinn??
I could only see the possibility of JT and Stephen or Stephen and Taj.. because they are the only people with a true friendship/alliance.. from what we've seen..
So the thing is.. if there needs to be a shocking vote in the final 4... to be shocking.. it has to be Erinn staying until the F3. I would say Stephen backstabs JT (decent blindside) and goes with Taj and Erinn to the F3.
Then there has to be a decently constructed lie, which Stephen then tell both Taj and Erinn that he will bring both to the F2 and makes promises to them, and then don't win the challenge purposely, leaving Taj to win or Erinn to win. The winner (most prob Taj) brings Stephen because she has been in an alliance with him since early game.
Then when they turn on each other, that's where JT laid everything out about being in an alliance and Taj is disgusted that Stephen is such a constant liar and everything and they start turning on one another. And then the jury votes..
Brendan - Taj (obvious) Sierra - Taj (obvious) Debbie - Unknown (could vote for Stephen for being the smart player or Taj for being a fellow female who outplayed the rest) Coach - Stephen (if he's such a sexist, his vote will go to a male) JT - Taj (Blindsided by Stephen) Erinn - Unknown (might vote for Stephen because of the lie, or might vote for Taj for being a fellow female who outplayed the rest)
I still believe that it is impossible that JT and Stephen are in the final 2 because that would have been so BORING and obvious who will win.. how would that be a top 5 seasons? I still say and pray, hope for a miracle of Taj and Stephen F2 and Taj will then obviously win!!!!

I believe only Taj or JT stands a chance of winning. Jeff said we will like the winner and will be satisfied with the results. An Erinn or Stephen win will not bring this season into the top 5 seasons i believe. And a JT win would have been so boring and expected, thus i really think Taj wins. Or it may be a wilful wishful thinking.

Lol, I guess that Stephen says it. A Stephen and Taj final two would be awesome, a Taj win would be even more awesome. But I don't know, somehow I only see Stephen and JT turning on each other. JT will probably win against Stephen, still having a likeable person win. But then again, if JT and Stephen were indeed the final two, I don't see why they'll turn on each other since all is well. So... Hoping that Taj makes the final two and wins!

I've been trying to figure this out. Do you guys think the "one shocking vote" is when Stephen voted Coach out, or is the F4 vote the shocking vote? The way it is phrased, it makes me think that the F4 vote is shocking. And if it is the F4 vote, then I would think a vote for anyone but Erinn would be shocking.

It was stated that there are 3 tribal councils, thus it is after the F4 TC, leads to a carefully constructed lie before the F3 TC and then the F2 turning onto each other at the final TC with the jury.

It's a good theory but Survivor doesn't work that way. They only have the 3 of them left then, they are bound to come together and talk about the vote.. then JT will question Spencer about voting for him.. which he will deny.. and i don't think Taj will blatanly lie in front of the 2 of them? Because that's just dumb and easy to see through. But it's a really good theory.
And an Erinn vote off at the F4 is not a shocking vote to us, thus Erinn stays to a good F3 IMO.

That's the way i speculated as well. Because all of them probably realized they are not going to win against JT.. but how JT didn't win the F4 immunity when it's a physical challenge.. i don't know? Perhaps Steve won..

I'm glad to see other Taj supporters besides myself! Praying she is not another blindside going home first tonight. I would think that the fact the F2 "turn on each other" that one of them is Stephen, and Erinn is NOT one of them. Stephen is close with both Taj and JT. Maybe the seed of doubt has to do with Taj, Stephen and the HII. Maybe JT tells Taj that Stephen wasn't backing her as much as she was backing him? :duno:

5 Questions with Jeff Probst- Inside TV Blog
1. What can we expect from the finale? There's a pretty decent betrayal in the finale. I think it will shock a lot of people, and then for others they'll say "Doesn't surprise me at all." I like the final four ... It's been a pretty remarkable journey for them because there were these two tribes, this Timbira tribe that had the numbers, and all they had to do was pick off the Jalapao people and they would be sitting really pretty. But 'Survivor' has this great element to it and that is there's only one winner, and so no matter how strong your alliance is, somebody's always on the bottom of that alliance ... The thing you can count on is somebody [realizing], "I don't like being on the bottom, so I'm going to the other side," and then you have your twists and you're back in the game.
2. Some fans say you've become more pointed in your questioning at tribal council. What do you think? I think as the game evolved, and the show evolved, it just became a natural part of the discourse for me to let my opinion out. And I always approach tribal council as though I am the audience -- what does the audience want to know right now? But I don't ever feel like I influence the game too much ... In 18 seasons, I've never had a Survivor say, "You're singling me out, and it's not fair." Because tribal council will last 45 minutes or an hour, and everybody gets asked a lot of questions. It's just that all that we use on the show are those five questions that make it appear as though I know everything.
3. Where does this season rank in 'Survivor' history? Coming into this season, I thought it was going to crack our top five, possibly ... I think it's definitely a top 10 season, but it's hard to know until it's over and you have your winner. But I think everybody's going to be very satisfied with the way this season ends, and hands down we have had one of the biggest characters in the history of our 18 seasons in Coach.
4. Do you really think he could have his own reality show, like you wrote in your EW.com blog? I really do. I'm not kidding. I think you could set up a situation in which you followed Coach around in his daily life and create scenarios for him to be a part of. Think of all the things you wonder about: Does Coach have a girlfriend? Does he actually go on dates and talk like the Dragon Slayer to his girlfriend? Who are his friends? Where is his family? Do they think he's crazy? And what does Coach's house looks like? I mean, I have endless questions about a guy like this [laughs].
5. But would you have been happy if Coach won? Oh, I [would've been] through the roof if Coach won. If a guy like Coach -- as outrageous as he is, with all the stories he told -- could somehow make it to the end and then convince the jury that he was more worthy than the person he was sitting next to, that would probably be the greatest win since Richard Hatch. [In last night's episode] Coach has one of the greatest scenes ever, and I've watched it several times and I just marvel at it. In fact, Jenna Fischer from 'The Office' wrote me the other day and said, "Coach's speeches are Dwight. That's exactly something Dwight on 'The Office' would say." It's just so beautiful. I mean, nobody writes like that.

I sincerely doubt that Taj does win or even gets to the final 3 because she is well liked, and with J. T. and Stephen in alliance with each other, I'd think they would rather have Erinn with them for the final 3. I could see that as a betrayal of Taj, but not unexpected so perhaps I'm wrong.

I could see that happening also. But who would they consider to be better at IC? I think Erinn is if it is a puzzle, and she may be better athletically also. I think a lot depends on how close each of those girls come to winning the last IC. If the boys are smart, they will get rid of the girl that comes closest to winning.

I wonder if Erinn will tell the jury that Stephen contemplated taking her instead of JT... Taj is hurt but in the end, even if it meant not taking her to the final 3 might have been the best move for JT. He showed he could be loyal and he didn't have to choose between her and Stephen.
I think Stephen would have taken Erinn as well.

I really enjoyed tonight's three hour show. I knew J.T. had it in the bag for weeks but he deserved it. I thought everybody looked great on the reunion show. I'm ready for Survivor: Samoa in September! Did anybody notice they had the commercial for Big Brother tonight but no specific date was given, just said coming in july.

I actually thought Stephen had his jury questions in the bag up until Taj. His opening statement was a mess, but he recovered and definitely shifted the 'blindside blame' onto JT, for a while, until Taj came up. Then he just started blabbering (remember the numbers challenge that he won? He was talking exactly the same way), and after a while I had no idea what he was getting at.
The best part though? The Reunion. How awesome was that. "I slay the dragon!" Best part of the Reunion, though: Samoa. Hopefully, TPTB will have learned their lesson and stop sending people who default to one strategic move (namely, butt-kissing). Can't wait for that!

before the final TC was shown, i want stephen to win, but hearing his opening statement, the way he answers the jury's question, and kinda backstabbing jt, i am really disappointed...
it sounds like he is so desperate for jury votes,,,, well scrambling for the votes.
too bad, he didn't won the Final IC, then he would have taken Erinn, and Erinn has a bigger chance to win over him....
overall, this is a great season,

Okay i'm watching the episode now..
And it seems that i was right that either Taj or JT would be blindsided, but i was wrong about it being a "shocking" one, expecting JT's vote out to be a more shocking one than Taj..
Thus Erinn made the final 3 and was out.. and it's down to Steven and JT, which both i didn't like because i think they're both liars. (Look at the final TC, their lies.. turning on each other..) *rolleyes*
And so.. before i see the votes, i believe JT will win and the votes will go like this -
Erinn - Steven (sure) Taj - Steven (woman of my word.. man the same way..) ??? Coach - JT (sure) Debbie - JT (sure) Sierra - Steven (sure) Tyson - Steven (unsure) Brendan - JT (unsure)
I think it will be a close one. There's 2 sure votes for JT and 3 for Steven as well.. we'll see where the last 2 votes go to.

Anyway, i don't belong to the people who believe this is a good season and is one of those "top 5" seasons ever. Because it's so predictable and boring in some ways.. Gabon was wayyyy much better.. with classic scenes like the Crystal outburst and the bitchy Randy and Corrine as well as Sugar who turned the whole game. Every character in Gabon was colourful.. (jury).. unlike this season.
Boo to Jeff for believing and highly promoting this season as one of the best, because i clearly did not enjoy it.

But I think that would catering very specifically to Taj only. Coach clearly didn't like Erinn, neither did Tyson. I don't believe that Erinn would've had a very good jury performance, either, and that JT would have been able to succeed more, unless Erinn did a surprisingly well jury performance. If that were the case, here's what I think it would go down like.
BRENDAN: JT TYSON: JT SIERRA: Erinn DEBBIE: JT COACH: JT TAJ: Erinn STEPHEN: JT (obviously)

I certainly don't think this is one of the best seasons ever. The challenges were cool, the cast was pretty interesting, but the outcome was way too predictable. I guess the reason this season's great in Jeff's opinion is J.T.'s likeability. I'm surprised that J.T. got all the votes. Wow, even Erinn would've gotten at least a vote, from Taj. I don't consider J.T. one of the smartest and most interesting players, but what draws people to him is his sincerity, which I really felt during the final TC. I thought that Stephen was trying too hard to cover up, while J.T. was just very honest. I'm satisfied with the outcome, but it's really boring.

Coach did make this season different!
He made it different, but not better for Jeff to rank it among the top 5 seasons. *rolleyes* This season immediately falls behind more deserving winner such as Yul, Earl, Danni and Bob. Even Micronesia was fun because of the many funny moments (blindsides, Erik giving immunity necklace away lol)

I agree. Taj was underrated. She is in the league of Cirie and made the season so much more fun to watch.

I wholeheartedly agree with the different but not better comment. Coach was entertaining as a character, but by the end of his run I was sooooo tired of the extraordinary amounts of air time the editors were giving him.
The biggest problem I had with this season was the lack of strategy. Both tribes fell into the usual "vote the weakest or most annoying first" train of thought and no interesting alliances of any note were formed early on besides the ill-fated Exile alliance. So that leaves us with a first half of the season that played out quite ordinarily, especially without the benefit of a tribal switch or some other sort of twist. Once the merge came things got really good, really fast. If not for Joe's injury leading to an anti-climactic end, the first post-merge episode would have been amazing. Sadly, things didn't remain as great as the Stephen/JT/Taj trio rolled through the old Timbira tribe like a set of bowling pins. No one made any big moves after Tyson's blindside and everyone stuck to their guns, including Debbie and Coach, who's strategic guns were shooting blanks all season. I guess my point is that Tocantins sorely lacked all of the alliance-shifting and unexpectedness that the previous two seasons (I've only gotten back into Survivor in the past year) had. Micronesia had people playing the game from the moment they stepped on the island, and things never let up from that point on. Gabon started off typically, but pre-merge you had the tribal shake-up, the Ace/Sugar/Ken dynamic that followed, and then the post-merge game with Ken and Crystal coming into power while Sugar repeatedly made moves that shot everyone's plans all to hell. Tocantins....was considerably vanilla in comparison.

Sugar has to be back for Allstars. She alone made Gabon a blast and the whole season so much more interesting. From finding the idol, to sugar shack, to blindsiding Ace, to playing with Randy, to voting Crystal out, followed by Ken, then not voting Bob out, and a bitch fight with Corrine AND then letting Bob win. Like OMG, we wonder how she even did it and made it all the way to the end. lol.
