New Details: 'American Idol' Summer Tour

"American Idol"'s top ten contestants from season eight are hitting the road with 50 stops across the country this summer, and ET has new details as to when tickets for the tour go on sale.

Tickets for the "American Idols Live! Tour" go on sale May 9. For more information, fans can visit ticketmaster.com (but check local venues for proper ticket sale information), americanidol.com and aeglive.com.

The top ten contestants who will perform on the tour -- which kicks off in Portland, OR, on July 5 -- are Adam Lambert, Kris Allen, Anoop Desai, Michael Sarver, Lil Rounds, Scott MacIntyre, Matt Giraud, Danny Gokey, Allison Iraheta and Megan Joy.

Wish they were coming near me, they are skipping Houston, Austin and San Antonio this year.

They are coming to six cities in California but not my city   :'(    The closest is about 2 1/2 hours away and I'm too lazy to drive that far.   :lol:     Oh well.......They came to my city last year and I was able to go.
