THIS JUST IN... From CBS Entertainment... THE 11TH EDITION OF "BIG BROTHER" TO RETURN IN SUMMER 2009 LOS ANGELES, Sept. 22 - BIG BROTHER, CBS's summer stalwart reality show, will return next summer with its 11th edition.
BIG BROTHER concluded its 10th edition last Tuesday (Sept. 16) with 25-year-old Catholic school teacher Dan Gheesling winner of the top prize.
BIG BROTHER 10 averaged nearly 7 million viewers this summer, 2.4/07 in adults 18-49 and 3.0/08 in adults 25-54 and proved strong counter programming opposite the summer Olympics.
In addition, BIG BROTHER 10 used both online and mobile platforms to extend the overall show experience and created a community of fans. According to CBS Interactive analytics, BIG BROTHER 10 led all other primetime shows across the CBS Audience Network in terms of video views (clips and full episode streaming), time spent, page views and number of people visiting for the month of August. In addition, BIG BROTHER 10 featured a full 24/7 live online feed through a partnership with Real Networks. And on the mobile platform, BIG BROTHER 10 alerts and video clips were featured by CBS Mobile.
BIG BROTHER is executive produced by Emmy Award winner Allison Grodner, Rich Meehan and Scott Einziger, in association with Endemol USA Inc. Julie Chen hosts the live eviction broadcast.

Thank goodness. My suggestion, start it on June 1 and end it by Labor Day. I've had enough of this show running into September.

I don't know about "bad Michael" and the stick, but I know I'm glad BB11 doesn't air till summer!! :wohoo: Too many other good shows on this winter to keep us entertained! :yess:

I think BB11 will start on July 12th, not the 5th.
BB10 started on July 13th with 13 houseguests and I believe BB11 will have 13 again as I remember Robyn Kass was asked last summer why 13 instead of 14 or more and she said the show decided that 14 or more is too many and too much work and budget is the other reason.
So I think they will stick with 13 with one double eviction.
so i'm guessing.....
Premiere July 12th Finale Sept 15th

Everytime I read something about BB I think "room of doom" as in puddin stuck in a room, feeling doomed, wasting away another summer :lol:

you are forgetting one major thing, BB10 was coming after two seasons that were held three months apart from eachother... they needed more time to cast and therefore started the season later. I will bet you anything that BB11 will start much sooner than BB10, and that it will have 14 HGs.

A month ago Robyn Kass said they would start casting for BB11 soon so I think we will get a list of audition cities and dates soon.
They did a pretty good job with BB10 and hopefully do another good casting again.
I hope they do Will. I could NOT take another season like the season that shall not be mentioned. :nopoints :nopoints
I remembered they had really a bad season. Was it that season with a final 2 who is "related by blood"? (i'm not mentioning which in case Texas isn't happy) :(

I rented the three of us a place July to mid Sept. Oddly enough, only one show is blocked on the Internet there.

We watch because we have OCD and cannot get through a summer with out realitytv, therefore we are sucked in by BB, by habit, not by choice. Plus us updaters and members get to hang out with each other for the summer, its like a family reunion of sorts! We might hate the cast but love each other and have lots of fun with it. What TPTB really need to do is read the message boards and ask US for suggestions in casting. Casting is predictable..

yea i can't wait to hang with u guy this yr. i did not find rff till this fall/winter, i got an ipod and learnd how to get pod cast and well after three week fuigering that out i found rff's pod cast , than after fuigering that out i found this message board that took about 3 more weeks.. omg now i am so excited more ppl who love bb as much as i do i can belive it, if i go any where i will need 24/7 feeds and internet and tv..all summer bb lovers heaven i tell u heaven..we could have our own bb house only we can stay in out robs and pj's all day and no one whould get the boot..
