They are talking about the flood waters being the thing that killed the people and how there were a lot of burguleries that happened and the police were told to shoot to kill and Renny doesn't remember seeing body bags.

renny doesn't remember how long she was gone, she thinks four weeks. When she came back she had to prove that she lived there.
She went to AUburn where her son went. She stayed at the apartment there and the atheletic program told them that they could put them up there.
