I was okay with the 11 episode thing in the beginning because I was just happy to have TAR but now that its getting near the end I feel gypped :(
I suppose AI, BB and Survivor (and LOST & 24 for me :yess:) are one way to drown the pain but we still have TAR13 sightings to look forward to so :keeta:

Yeah, actually getting the show and it being so good, I was pretty forgiving about only getting 11 legs. But around leg 8, I was already getting bummed.
The show is doing so well this season ratings wise that I hope CBS realizes the mistakes it made. 1st in only green lighting 1 cycle and then giving it a reduced cycle order.
Though I have serious doubts on them increasing it back up to 13, which pisses me off.

CLUE: Fly to Taiwan.
They'll taxi to Taipei Main Station.
In his taxi, Nate comments that he doesn't know much about Taiwan, except he loves Thai food and has some Thai friends.
The lead 3 teams are at the airport as TK/Rachel finally make it to the flying garden.

Roadblock is a driving double-play: First, you get in a SUV which is rocked/rolled on a precipice, back and forth, so that your stomach goes berserk. Then, you are driven in a jeep and must stay 17 seconds underwater as the jeep drives the underwater course.
First finishing Roadblock: Ron (and Chris).
Second, Nate (and Jenn).
TK/Rachel have to do a Speed Bump, involved with a ritual dance/presentation.
Third, Nic/Don.
The other three teams are at the airport as TK/Rachel finish the Speed Bump in the dark.

The contestant has to ride in a car with a stunt driver, drive up some crazy thing and then switch cars and go underwater in a water car thingie while holding their breath for 17 seconds.
Ron does it for his team and surprisingly does not **** up.
Nate and Jen in last place because Gigi their driver is too busy reading something.
Clue: Get on a train to GK Teahouse and drink tea there.
Hippie girl does the roadblock for her team
Nate is commanded by Cunt to do it for their team.
Don does it for his.
Hippie girl does her task and NOW hit the speedbump.
They must drive 1 mile away and in a complete rigging by CBS, they only have to run through fireworks and get hit with water. As opposed to doing several yoga stances. **** you TAR.
Ron and Cristina make the 7:15 train by two minutes
Hippies do their quick speedbump. :rolleyes
Nate and Cunt try to get tickets for 7:36 but are forced to get the 8 time. As do Nick and Don.
Will another "miracle" happen for the Hippies and they make the train? We'll find out after the break.

Detour: Fire or Earth
In Fire, they have to write on lanterns, burn stuff, and let the lantern fly away. 20 times.
In Earth, they must walk on a long ass path of jagged rocks.
Ron and Christina decide to do the walking task.
Nick and Don arrive at the Teahouse and leave 2nd.
Hippies in third they get an Izad to help them.
Nate and Jen get an Izad to take them to the market but they don't know how to say clown.
Ron and Christina finish and get their clue to the pitstop!
Nick and Don do earth.
Hippies do Earth.
Nate and Cunt are last and do Earth as well. An Izad tells them to use a bus. They start fighting for the bazillionth time of the race.

I kind of knew the Chris&Ron spoiler was wrong because Mariana implied in her interview that Christina "isn't that innocent" and she will screw someone over, and since it hadn't happen till now I guessed that the final elimination will be with blood on her hands.
anyway Ron&Chris arethe strongest team in the final and they deserve to win but rarely happens (see under seasons 2,3,5-9,11) ,I think TK&Rachel will win. just because the last team I wanna win always wins.

Nicolas & Donald 4.30.
Typically the 2nd best average wins. Only Tyler & JAmes won while having the best racing performance (Flo & Zach and Rob & Brennan were tied with another team at the end).

Ok, my torrent for this episode should be done in twenty minutes.
DO I watch that, or wait for it to air live (I love getting the east coast downloads before they actually air on the west coast). What do I do. Support live viewing (not to mention legal) and put up with waiting longer and commercials, or just dig the download, and say screw you CBS, and your 11 episodes, 1 cycle only pick up.

I have gone back to the flight schedules ffrom Osaka-KANSAI to Taipei for Friday July 27> Here are the ones I anticipated:
12:55pm 3:05pm KIX TPE BR(EVA) 2131 3:10 hrs.
1:40pm 3:50pm KIX TPE CI 0157 3:10 hrs.
None of my multiplesources show any other flights departing between 1pm and 2pm.

I don't think that the racing average is a good indicator about how well racers do. it doesn't take in to consideration non elimination legs (or more accurately teams that were lucky enough to make it last there) and FF.

lol mama yes it could have been either way, though on first viewing i thought break up gf/bf and then when i just watched it again it broke my heart to watch the pair of them with their business all out there on TV and Nate saying gosh darn it.
I'm sure that they thought if we win this then our relationship will be perfect no money worries etc

I also wonder about Ron's being nice. If he has really changed or if it was that they had a nearly stress free day instead.
From leaving Osaka, they knew (without question) and reinforced with each train ride, that they were #1. I wonder if that was a big factor on his behavior. I am curious if they built on their 45 minute lead after the train or not. Usually teams familiar with the language do better then those who don't.
THe other episodes he behaved better in.
Last week's episode, where they figured they were team #2, for almost the whole leg.
And Leg #5, where they thought they were in good position (though they did think TK & Rachel and Nic & Don could have arrived before them (they didn't know they missed their connections due to flight delays).

You no if Ron had changed his strips around leg 3 or 4, I would absolutely agree with you. But I also don't mind the nicest overall team winning either and that isn't the usual case.
THough some nice teams have won, it hasn't ever been the nicest team (the closest would be Rob & Brennan but I would say on the episodes that Dave & Margareeta were nicer, though its very close).
In this season not even Kate & Pat have been as nice (they have enjoyed the misfortune of others, such as Ron).
But o matter what, there are pluses for any of the teams winning.
1st parent/Child, 1st Grandparent/Grandchild, Oldest winner, Oldest racer in final three, hell 2 oldest racers in final three.

That wasn't so bad, because they didn't have a relationship, they were thinking about starting one. So basically just nips it in the bud before anything happens. Lenny & Karen were either just seriously dating or engaged. And from the 2nd leg, you new there was serious, serious problems.

IDK, Don & Nick's spat in reminds me of the BQ's spat in TAR11 final preview, maybe not a good sign for them? Still, I really don't care who wins but luv Don.
I so seriously can't see this team winning. The final leg of each season has had one large activity that this team does worse then any other, and thats running. Now unless they have a final tasks like seasons 9 or 10 just a bit away from the Mat that they can excel at, then its not going to happen.
As for seeing a team that gets along get into a fit in the final leg, I think more Tyler & James, who had their one and only fight in the CDG airport.
When I think Dustin & Kandice, I still really remember more of their first experience where they did fight and argue (at least that made the episodes) in several episodes. All Stars always seem a little like teams new to correct bad habits they had on their first race.
