PREVIOUSLY ON .. THE AMAZING RACE:
Eleven All-Star teams left Miami. In a Race of more than 40,000 miles across 4 continents. The best of the best battled elements, health issues, and each other. (Mirna "Wouldn't want to be you!") Eight teams came in last and were Philiminated.
Dating couple Eric/Danielle met on a prior season of the Race. Eric tried to dominate Danielle during the Race, as they shared bad luck in airports. But their constant respect for the game and growing respect for each other got them to the Final Three.
The Beauty Queens had their share of adversaries. But their spirit and physical prowess kept them in the game.
Cousins Charla/Mirna used their brash tenacity. (Charla's wheelies!) And their good luck in Airports, to make it into the Final Three. But it wasn't always easy for Charla. (Horse toss!) In tonight's season finale, one of these teams will win $1,000,000 and The Amazing Race All-Stars.

Phil: This is Guam. A military stronghold in the South Pacific. Fort Soledad was the pitstop.
Dustin/Kandice, 11:53 am, CLUE: Make your way to Honolulu.
Phil: Fly 3,800 miles. Make youru way to Kamaka Air Hangar, for 1 of 3 helicopter flights to Lanai.
I'll omit the obligatory "we're gonna win" confessionals.
Eric/Danielle, 12:55 pm.
Got the time wrong again.
BQ's get to Guam Int'l Airport.
Northwest leaves 3:50 pm. Stopover in Tokyo. 11:40 am arrival in HNL.
Charla/Mirna, 1:29 pm.

Team ED arrives at the airport.
D/K hide.
Woman: Only two flights out of here. The 3:50 flight is sold out. But the 4:20 connects to the same plane in Tokyo, same arrival time in HNL. (7:40 am, I was wrong when I thought I heard 11:40.)
Charla/Mirna also get the 4:20.
Mirna: Same flight as everybody else.

Full moon.
Tokyo, 6:18 pm first plane arrives.
6:28 pm second plane arrives.
Mirna sees that a United plane will leave Tokyo before their ordinary connection.
Mirna takes a cart, and pushes Charla through the airport.
Dustin: Where are C/M?
Kandice: On their way.
Eric: There's no way they're not.
Mirna tries to get a deal at the United counter.
Mirna: I owe my life to you. Any price you want.
Eric/Danielle and Dustin/Kandice get on their flight.
Mirna: this is as last minute as life gets!
Kandice: Charla/Mirna have been known to get great flights nobody knows about.
Eric: Door is closing!
Danielle: Wow. Impsosible!
Eric: I thought Charla and Mirna would be on this flight right now!
Theyr'e on United.

HONOLULU.
Morning.
Charla/Mirna get off in 1st place.
They taxi to Kamaka Air Hangar.
Charla: We want to be on the first charter flight!
Second plane arrives.
Teams taxi to the air hangar.
Kandice: Wouldn't you freak if #1 was taken by Charla/Mirna?
Dustin: Not gonna happen!
C/M get 9:00 am.
Phil: Tickets are 10 minutes apart. When they land, the teams must drive a jeep to Kamalapau harbor for the next clue.
2nd, Eric: HOw'd they get here so fast!?
1st, D/K: CHARLA AND MIRNA?
Kandice: I had a feeling they'd get here.
Eric to Mirna, about to take off: You guys are so cool!
On the helicopter, Charla/Mirna do hula hands.
9:10, E/D take off.
9:20, D/K take off.

10 minutes later, Eric drives.
Finally, D/K.
Mirna and Charla gaga over the beautiful cliffs.
CLUE: DETOUR. Under or Over?
Under: Take a boat to an underwater cave. Swim under the rocks for the next clue.
Over: Take a boat to an inlet, paddleboard yourselves to the next buoy for the clue.
Charla: Look at the current. You want to do this one?
C/M will paddle.
D/K realize that 20 minutes isn't enough to prevent them from catching up.
E/D arrive in 2nd, choose diving.
Charla: This isn't that hard.
Mirna: Yeah, cause you're short!
Mirna conf: It was incredible how fast she went! Phenomenal!

Mirna: You did great, Charla!
C/M, CLUE: Make your way to Shipwreck Beach for the next clue.
Phil: Teams must drive themselves to where the Liberty cargo ship is offshore. Then they have to trek 1 mile up the beach for their next clue.
Eric is having trouble timing the waves/swells/splash to time his dive.
D/K choose to dive.
E/D finish their dive, get CLUE, head back to the Jeeps.
Conf, Dustin/Kandice "on the verge of panic ... current ... not be crushed against the rocks ... gasping for air ..."
Through mask, Dustin: You okay, Kandice?
D/K get CLUE in 3rd.

Charla/Mirna arrive at Shipwreck Beach, start trundling across the rocky terrain.
Dustin/Kandice and Eric/Danielle have them in sight and can catch up.
Mirna: Charla! You have to run!
Mirna grabs Charla's hand.
M: Charla, run!
Eric/Danielle overtake C/M, get into the kayaks first.
D/K overtake them, get into kayak 2nd.
C/M head out in the kayak.
Mirna: Wait! Don't turn your oars around yet!
(It's all timing ...)
Team ED has their timing down pat.
A wave catches D/K.
D/K capsize.
Conf, Kandice: Dustin blocked out things I was saying. She wouldn't listen. I felt extreme frustration.
Out toward the shipwreck, it's very wavy.
D/K get back in their "boat."
Charla/Mirna have to start again, having fallen out.
Dustin/Kandice catch ED, then capsize again.
Mirna: The waves are dangerous! Please move your paddle! Are you deaf?
E/D get CLUE, D/K 2nd.
CLUE: Make your way to the final destination city, San Francisco.
Phil: They'll have to make their way to San Francisco's old Mint.

Finally Charla/Mirna get the hang of kayaking, get the CLUE, and begin to paddle back.
Dustin: I'd rather not do it if it's like this!
At last, they shake hands and make up.
Mirna/Charla now have to trundle back up the beach.
Helicopter takes E/D first, then D/K second, back to the air hangar.
In the jeep, Mirna/Charla talk about how the kayak took all their energy.
In the air hangar, Eric knows to fly to Oakland.
Woman: that flight leaves 11:55 tonight, arrives 6:57
Eric: Is that the fastest flight?
Dustin: Doin' what they're doin'. But is there a quicker flight we can make a run for?
Woman tells Eric the 11:55 is the only flight to Oakland.
Both teams get tickets on that flight.
Dustin: You know Charla/Mirna will find something better.

D/K taxi goes into 1st place.
E/D pass them.
Oops, they go 2 different directions.
Mirna to cabbie: This is just a crazy adventure, and you're part of it.
CLUE, D/K: Who can gain entry to the vault?
Phil: Once inside, the person must answer the question on the wall, from a list on the wall of pssible answers. They must use the answers to make a 4 digit code. Their partner must match their teammate's answers within 10 minutes to gain entry to the CLUE inside the safe.

There are only 10 answers, which correspond to a number 0-9.
Mirna conf: Charla and I are cousins, which is our strength.
Which team "is the last trustworthy"? "has the best sense of humor"? "is most overrated"? "you would most want to stay in touch with"?
Teams' first contestant enters their 4 digit code. To unlock the safe, their answers must match. They get only 10 minutes to pull it off.

Mirna sees the Garden on the map. Points it out to the cabbie.
Cabbie to D/K: You'er about 1 minute away.

Conf, Mirna: We persevered until the very last leg. It was wonderful to break all the stereotypes. At the end, I felt so many people got to know the real Charla and Mirna.

Sorry Michael it does suck, I felt that way through the end of season 9, was just heart broken.

The challenges were good, I thought, some of the best of the season. I thought the canoe challenge was the best, but that safe challenge was cool too.

I'm still in shock. I swear when I saw Dustin go into the Mint thing first I thought they were going to win. Karma. Oh well, CAN'T WAIT FOR TARCON STUFF!

Just want to say , I really did like that episode.
And I can't wait to run through it for all the codes different people picked for things like funny, least trustworthy, ect.
And its nice to see how well regarded UChenna & Joyce are by the teams for being nice.
Also nice to see that only one team was able to finish the puzzle in the ten minutes. Hehe.
I beat Eric freaked though at first, not another puzzle.
ANd yeah, the episode just flew by, God an hour and an a half would have been so nice.
And if anyone really doubts that the producers ont eh final leg want as close as a race as possible that roadblock should end that. Though at least unlike season nine they gave you a drive where things like traffic and having a slower cab or one who gets lost or doesn't know the fastest way could be a factor.
Not hte best episode of the season but pretty damn close. I hope someone gets teh info on how far behind Charla & Mirna were at getting finish and to the airport in Hawaii.

The Old Mint task could not have been precisely as they indicated. In order to get a 4 digit code with any of 10 other teams (0 to 9) being the entries, you only want 4 questions, not 10 questions. So, which questions did WRP actually use and which ones did they ignore. RFF wants to know!!

there was only four questions, the list of 10 was teh possible answers to the four questions.
There was 2 boards one with 4 questions, and another with all the teams (minus your own teamt ,hus 10 possible answers to each question).
