So the Blondes in the blue tank tops driving might just be leaving the Ukraine pitstop? In Morocco they are mainly in the pink.

God willing and hopefully (for me at least), the latter. They are due for a win if their success is truly inevitable. Otherwise, I'll be wondering for two weeks what will happen to turn things around.

If I'm allowed to speculate: maybe they are last, the leg is a NEL, they get the penalty, yield the BQs in the next leg and end up beating them? :duno:
In any case they better be team 3 in the final or I'm gonna blow a vessel and have an aneurysm.

Of course, Bama has to catch the BQs first (or hope that T/J or R/K reach the Yield first and Yield BQ). It would really be BQs fault for losing, but bad luck to fall behind Bama + being Yield would give Bama enough time to survive their penalty, unless they win the penultimate leg in which case, that's that. 4 participants, it's a 1/4 shot.
If they win the race, well, I guess that's Karma for thinking that they weren't a threat. Still, Bama's like that guy on TPIR that dies from falling off a mountain, but comes back in the very near future. I'll be proud for Lyn for making it this far though; it's tough having a teammate like that ruin everything and struggle so much.

*Animosity escalates between two teams while racing through Morocco when one team "yields" the other, forcing them to fall behind.
*At the Yield, one team forces another to wait until the sand in the hourglass runs out before they can participate in the Roadblock.
*At the Roadblock, the "yielded" team is forced to watch and wait from the sidelines as one person from each of the remaining teams get to experience the thrills of the gladiator days in a high-speed chariot race.

*After getting lost on the way to the Detour, one team arrives last and must wait for the other teams to finish the challenge before they can begin.

i think the background of Lyn in the chariot is much lighter, and i think that they are far ahead that than the 3 other teams, and there is so much evidence that dustin and kandice are in the back pack because of what Tyler and James saying about they should steer bama off because they're going down... and when they say they're in big trouble...!

I don't think it's James who falls, unless he changes horses when he continues (not unlikely though), because the horse in his closeup is white/gray and both broken horses are black/dark.

Out of the final four...I think BQs were the biggest threat to the other 3 teams......bamaz talk about them[ pitstop ] , Models talk about them getting down........R/K hates them...............so they will yield BQs if there is one on that leg...no more question about it, which gives us the Final 3 that were spotted in Paris!

Sure looks like the BQs are goners this week. UNLESS we have another NEL and Bama survives once again and then pulls off a YIELD in Spain and the BQs finally are toast.
Still seems strange to me that all three teams are together first at the Eiffel Tower and then on the flight to New York. That's too much bunching for my taste. UNLESS TPTB pull another "hold the plane" for the rest of the teams. So that they can arrive together in New York.
Bama pulls fast one in New York; arrive at the final pit stop first BUT and I really hope there is a BUT, they broke the rules at JFK and penalized 30 minutes and have to stand there and watch the models arrive FIRST! Justice, I says, it calls for Justice!

Yeah, usually the final leg as more bunching then the average episode.
With usually just one last task in the final city and flying in from other coutries. Which ideally is designed to allow all three final three teams to get on the same flight and have a three way race in teh final city.
Personally its the way the show is designed, but I do hate it. In most legs teh show really only has one or two at most equilizers. Oftent he final leg as three. Really destroyig any avantage the lead team manages to earn anywhere in that leg.

Maybe this is a different type of Yield. The first three teams to arrive pull numbers (1-3) and the last team automatically gets yielded. It's not as much fun because a team doesn't pick out someone to yield. It's more of a punishment for lagging behind like the mid-episode elimination in episode 1.

let's see...Helsinki-Kiev was on the 17th--they run around all day and the Cho's arrive in the dark...pitstop 12 hours/24 hours/or 36 hours? Leaving for Morocco on the 19th?
Now how do they fly? Into Marrakech? It is 327 miles from there to the film studio...maybe a charter flight?

The first mention of "Yield Ahead" is given at the 'Ninja' shop clue. Okay, that's a guess!
One way to confirm if the Pit Stop was extended would be to find the buildings in the background of team Bama in their confessional. Is that Kiev? If it is then there was an extension. The Chos confessional in daylight Kiev may be because they just stay extra time while the rest keep racing.

Looks like just a false setup - no hour glass present.
Looks to be in same area as the chariot race. So does the ninja shop come first, then the chariot race?
Where is bama when we see the other three teams at the movie studio set? Are they so far ahead we don't see them, or so far behind.
This ep could very well be NEL, with all four teams moving on to Spain in the following ep with the need to come in first for the BQ's. They get the dreaded "sorry to say that you are eliminated" treatment from Phil on the December 3 show.
Bama keeps stumbling along and somehow surviving.
The confessional of the love birds is indeed at the Kiev pit stop.

I thought the yield box photo looked strange at first but looking at TAR9 these are from when the hippies yielded MoJo. It looks like the hour glass doesn't go up until someone decides to use the yield. Guess all the pictures are hidden inside the box. Chateau has good eyes! I couldn't see 2,3 and 4.

So puddin --since we clearly see everyone else, are we thinking that Bama gets yielded? Have to say I would LOVE that! Have to watch that preview with this possibility in mind...I've been thinking all along that the only way the Bama's could beat the BQ's is if they yielded them..might have to reconsider that, huh?

Didn't we see the BQ's in a car saying: "Look R/K have a flat tire--don't stop!" I know I saw that somewhere and don't think we've seen it on the show yet...
Here's what I'm thinking about flights...
If they take one of the flights above that arrive at night,(and if they can't get a flight by 9AM according to this they WILL arrive at night--and we see them driving at night!)-- they would have time to drive the 327 miles to the movie studio--do we know about what time of day the roadblock is? If it is first thing in the morning, then that would work. But it really depends on how long the Kiev pitstop is to determine which day/what time they can get a flight!
I'm thinking that the "in the shop" scene with D/K could be in the Marrakesh souks...

On the YIELD Box the number one is missing, but no pix of a yielded team and no hour glass, this leads me to believe that whichever team is first says "we choose not to yield" leaving it up to the second or third team to yield. The fourth team can't yield anyone since no one except perhaps Phil is behind them.

I'm not sure where the Ninja shop goes yet but was thinking it might be a place to find the clue ..you know like in Kuwait find the shop with the man w/ the clue or Kiev find the apartment with the lady etc. No extra video yet..i hope CBS isn't on vacation already :-\ ?

I've been reviewing all the dates--and there HAS to be an extended Pitstop either in Kiev or in Morocco:
Sat June 17: teams finish in Kiev--Cho's arrive in dark
Sun June 18: ?? extended pitstop Kiev
Mon June 19: ??--possible travel day to Morocco/first tasks/driving at night?? (they are driving at night somewhere!)
Tues June 20: Tasks in Morocco/??driving at night/detour?/Roadblock?
Wed June 21: ??travel day--they have to be on Air France flight #2148 dep CDG (Paris) arr Barcelona 8:45PM
Based on the above they could almost have 2 days somewhere! And lord knows they could use a rest after the TBC! :lol:
So I'll just assume that the tasks at the movie studio could be on the 19th with an extended pitstop in Morocco or on the 20th (seems most likely) and just keep going....
I really wanted them to be in Marrakech somehow (that's where the best souks (markets) are but it seems unlikely---there is a huge mountain range (Atlas Mts) between Ouarzazate and Marrakech and I hope that TPTB wouldn't let the kids drive across a mt range in the dark!!
So the"Ninja" shop must be early on since Dustin/Kandice are saying they don't like to be last with a Detour coming up while in the shop (unless it is creative voice-over)...
The shop is definitely an antique shop! (this girl knows her shops! ;D) I see porcelain, glass display cases, and chairs. Now I've found souks in Ouarzazate and fancy hotels--still looking for antique shops...

This shot was taken either between 9:12 and 9:31 am
or between 3:28 or 3:45 pm (assumes June 18th)
But I am really sure it is the AM option because of the Bama confessional. They are sitting in mid-day sun. The sun is coming from almost straight up. It gets as high as 83 deg there/then at mid day.
BTW that shadow is from the little shelf for the hour glass. That and the equilateral triangle make for a good time estimate! It should be right in the middle: 9:21 am.

If I were T/J, and knew with certainty that the BQ's would definitely yield a team I wanted yielded (Bama), I would let the BQ's have the honor while protecting my team from the fallout.
Strategically, T/J should yield their strongest competitor, the BQ's.

The interesting thing is I can get them into CDG--transport them across Paris via shuttle bus and get them out of Orly on the 12PM flight if they can leave Kiev to catch a 6:40AM flight . Traffic in Paris can be a nightmare (I do this pretty often) . But I think there is time. This could maybe give an early team a big lead--which is NOT supported by Morocco pictures.

Didn't we see the BQ's in a car saying: "Look R/K have a flat tire--don't stop!" I know I saw that somewhere and don't think we've seen it on the show yet...
Here's what I'm thinking about flights...
If they take one of the flights above that arrive at night,(and if they can't get a flight by 9AM according to this they WILL arrive at night--and we see them driving at night!)-- they would have time to drive the 327 miles to the movie studio--do we know about what time of day the roadblock is? If it is first thing in the morning, then that would work. But it really depends on how long the Kiev pitstop is to determine which day/what time they can get a flight!
I'm thinking that the "in the shop" scene with D/K could be in the Marrakesh souks...

I found a pic of the Atlas entrance gate where the teams are being let in. You can tell it's the same by the small circles in the iron about waist high. It also is a roll gate like in the previews. The picture is HUGE and I still haven't fixed my software so I'm e-mailing it to you Puddin so you can shrink it and post it. Thanks.
So we have an hours of operation where the teams get bunched at Atlas. Can anyone find out their opening time? It's no surprise that the Bama's slow running is what gets them yielded.

No, the change is seconds to a minute or two for a one day error in the date.
Also, the shadow on one of the Bamas at the gate gives a solar azimuth just a little lower than the one for the yield sign. So I am sure the opening comes right before the yielding.

We headed down to Ouarzazate (a movie-studio town, medium-interesting) and Ait Benhaddou (an amazing city they use as a backdrop for movies like Gladiator, because it’s so picturesque. It’s so cool it’s worth the trip by itself.) From there we took a camel ride and slept in the desert with the Blue Men nomads, which is not for everyone but we really enjoyed - despite getting caught in a nightstorm and waking up covered in sand. :)

Because I was argueing on another board that even if the top two teams got a thirty minut penality (for running a red light) plus any time gained (maybe 2 or 3 minutes) it wouldn't be enough to change the arrival order.

Well one clarification for above, when someone said they only think Dustin & Kandice pass Rob & Kim.
But on the previous page in Puddin's post there is this, and I assume its a quote.

That implies that at least two teams pass them. If it includes Tyler & James, I can see this really upsetting Rob & Kim, who at least did stop for them when they had car troule in leg #2. Plus I don't think they would honestly expect Dustin & Kandice or Lyn & Karlyn to stop for them.
As for the Detour.
So far what type of detours have we ever scene that require teams to wait?
In season's 3, 4 and 5 we had skydiving detours where the plane only carried so many teams at a time.
Season 2 had hang gliding.
Season 2 & 3 had a tandum bungee
Season 3, 4 & 5 had Zip Lines that were first come first served.
Season 1 had the zip line swing bungee.
Season 1: The glider tasks is one team at a time.
Season 3 and 5 have sleding type events where teams can only go one at a time.
Season 6 we have water Polo where I don't think all the teams can go at once.
In the Family Edition only two vehices could drive on the mud course at once.
We also have several repeling and ascinding tasks which migh (though I can't find proff) are first come first served in various seasons.
And any of these are possible well except the Olypic winter sports.

Okay--here's what we have so far:
Chateau thinks that the teams check in to the last pitstop in Kiev between 7:05pm (T/J) and 9:05pm (Bama) on Sat June 17
We know that Kiev was an extended 36 hour pitstop so they will be leaving between 7:05am and 9:05AM 0n Mon June 19th
That is too late to make the early flight via CDG (0640) so I think there are 2 options:
1)--they fly to Marrakech with flights at 0810 arr 2:25 or 2:35 depending on connections; or 0900 arr3:25PM; or 2:15 arr9:55 PM (Bama's would have to do this one)
Probably then go to a shop in the Marrakech souks to get a clue, then drive about 190 miles to Atlas Studios where teams are bunched till the gates open at 0900.(driving some in the dark?)
I'm not so convinced about this option because it would involve mountain driving at night and I'm not sure TPTB want that.
OR:
2)--they fly Kiev--Paris (CDG) and CDG--Ouarzazate directly
Unfortunately, the direct flights are at 0640 and 0720, which it doesn't look like they can make.
But there are multiple options leaving Kiev to CDG including 0755 arr 12noon via Budapest, 0800 arr12:15 via Vienna, 0810 arr 2:40 via Milan, 0820 arr3:10 via frankfurt,0920 arr2:40 via Zurich, 11:20 arr 4:15 via Vienna, and 12noon arr 4:10 via Amsterdam.
Ultimately none of that makes any difference because the flight from CDG to OZZ (Ouarzazate) doesn't leave till 6:30 PM arr OZZ 12:10AM on June 20th!
They would pick up a car, drive in the dark to the shop for a clue, then to Atlas Studios for 0900 bunching again.
Then we have the Roadblock/Yield:(speculation from here)
T/J arrive first at yield, and choose not to eliminate anyone.
BQ's arrive next and choose to yield Bama's
James, Dustin, Rob, and Karlyn all do the chariot racing Roadblock, with Karlyn presumably delayed about 30 minutes...
And then? We don't really know. There must be a Detour, R/K have a flat on the way, and "one team gets lost on the way to the detour and must wait until the other teams have completed the detour".
We don't know what or where (although I'm hoping for dune buggies!) and we don't know the order of arrival either.
We are supposing that the BQ's arrive last, and since it is a NEL, have the "marked for elimination" penalty which sets the stage for their elimination in Spain. So if they arrive last, probably they are the ones who get lost on the way to the detour.
Pitstop? Somewhere still daylight with a rocky background.
Teams will leave OZZ heading to Barcelona in order for at least some of them to be on Air France flight #2148 depCDG 6:50PM arr Barcelona 8:45PM on Wed June 21
I can get them out of OZZ on 6/21 at 0600 to CDG arr 12pm via Casablanca--and that is the only flight of the day!
WHAT DO THEY DO BETWEEN 12PM and the 6:50 PM flight because they can get to Barcelona much sooner!!
This is a puzzle for me--it would be the perfect time for the Eiffel Tower task except the spoiler dates don't fit...I'm thinking they have to do something else on the morning of the 21st (like drive to Marrakech or Casablanca--leaving in the dark-- to catch the flight to CDG from there...there is an Air France flight Casablanca to CDG which dep12:45 and arr 4:50pm but if you don't make that one you wouldn't arrive till 8:45PM, 9PM, or 10PM --thereby missing the flight to Barcelona...maybe another place for a BQ screw up??
Have I missed anything?? Any other ideas/speculation?? I was really hoping for one more preview! ??? :'(

its never states on the way to the Detour just the route marker. Could be before the " Gladiator" ? really this is sad we have no detour clues :-\ ( are we spoiled or what? :D ) ! It must be very telling as to which team is in what place and which one is stuck watching while they wait there turn...or it's pretty lamo like the stamp Roadblock in Madagascar.

Found this video (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-720497225668303743&q=ouarzazate) on google video...they go to some of our places, and interestingly show rock climbers at Todra Gorge, so I guess that is another detour possibility. Just use your fast forward (hee) and don't waste time with the rug dealer! :lol:

Did I miss something? Because I'm pretty sure it was a 36 hour pitstop based on the Sprint phone extra footage...
With 36 hours they would still have left in the morning, just the following day.
But :'( --no dune buggies--and they could have done camel trekking! Missed chances...

Paramount Vantage's "Babel," New Line Cinema's "The Nativity Story" and MGM's upcoming "Home of the Brave" have shot there in the past year -- as did an episode of CBS' "The Amazing Race." Universal Pictures' "Charlie Wilson's War" just finished shooting there, while New Line's "Rendition" and Warner Independent Pictures' Paul Haggis mystery thriller "In the Valley of Elah" are lining up shoots in the near future
