Title: My 15 cent Opinion--"Splitting the winnings"
Post by: TX GAL on September 10, 2006, 12:24:47 PM: I keep reading that people are/were talking about "splitting" the winnings,
but being an accountant/bookkeeper sort, I do have a problem with that!

I am only playing the role of the "Devil's Advocate". :sera: :flirt:

The winner of money or prizes have to pay the Income Tax on the entire
amount, so how do they "split" the money?

Since there is a limit on "giving" money to someone "Tax free" ($11,000.00 per year
per person) the Income Tax on any more than that would be due by both parties.

Sounds good "In theory or in strategy", and I'm sorry to rain on anyone's parade,
but there are downsides to that kind of agreement, LOL!

I was offended by all the talk of splitting the money, it doesn't seem right to me. They also discussed having people come in and doing a short time consultation and paying them for that. (Way around splitting the money.) I didn't like that either. :jam:

Anyway, I know Boogie won't share his part with Erika.

I remember Rob and Amber saying that their winning from Survivor All Star had to be kept in separate bank accounts
maybe BB is different, but i doubt it
I also recall Will saying on a few different occasions that he wasn't allowed to talk about splitting money and he kept getting in trouble from the producers
then he would make sure he said that this is a verbal agreement and is good under Cali laws

Welcome to RFF Seanaci. :hithere: :hello2: I dunno. He's getting what his big fat ego wanted F2 and most likely winning (koff koff) the entire thing. :groan:

They are business partners and he talks all the time about street cred whatever THAT is. (Does he have any left?) :crazy: He told Will the other day that no matter what they would still be 50/50 and I think he probably will split it somehow.

And that's true. I don't have as much info as most because I don't have the live feeds...and I'm far too busy at work to read them everyday. >_<

Anywho. If Boogie wins it all, he might be stuck in the house till his ego shrinks...if that can even happen. ;)

I think his overstuffed ego is going to take a big hit the minute he gets out of the house. He isn't loved, he isn't admired, polar opposites to what his puny little brain imagines.
