Previously on The Amazing Race Asia...

Eight teams raced to Phuket, Thailand!

Teams went on an elephant joyride, while at the Detour, some got tangled up while Rach & Vicky went undone.

At a frustrating Roadblock, teams struggled to remain still. Treasuri & Louisa beat Anita & Tom to win another leg!

And sadly, Rach & Vicky could not catch up.

Seven teams remain, wo will be eliminated next?

Route Info: Make your way to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Once there, make your way to some Seafood restaurant. WARNING: There is a Fast Forward this leg!

I'm on a laptop the speed of a potato so I didn't get to quote teams but they  are now in Vietnam.

Anita & Tom struggle to find a cab. They censor the swearing of other teams but Tom yelling "****" is left uncensored :lol: "ANITA!" they FINALLY get a cab :lol:

Eric  & Rona arrive first and see a Route Info and a Fast Forward.

FF: Eat your way through bowls of rice to find a lucky coin.

Eric & Rona and Treasuri & Louisa elect to not do the Fast Forward and read the ARI.

ARI: Catch six prawns in the seafood restaurant to receive your next clue!

Rona throws in their rod and calls it a double cheeseburger for the prawns :lol:

Meanwhile, Anita & Tom arrive in 6th and decide to go for the FF.

Eric & Rona and Yvonne & Chloe get a prawn each and Eric freaks out along with the Beauty Queens. Treasuri also gets one and begins FREAKING OUT :lol: Parul & Maggie have no prawns but Maggie is frazzled by the worm bait :lol: This is funny.

Anita & Tom arrive at the FF and begin eating.

JK & Mike get a prawn at the ARI and Will & Alex decide to leave and perform the Fast Forward.

Anita & Tom on their second rice bowl as Will & Alex arrive.

My net cut out but basically Anita & Tom arrived and Parul & Maggie comments on their FF usage: "Oh How the Mighty have Fallen!" :lol: <3

Treasuri & Louisa finish.

At the Fast Forward, Will & Alex are at their 32nd rice bowl. They vomit and can't handle it.

Meanwhile, Yvonne & Chloe narrowly pass Eric & Rona to get the Detour clue.

Detour: Badminton Bash or Flower Power

Badminton Bash: Receive 10 points out of 21 to get your clue.
Flower Power: Put together an order of flowers through the bazaar. Once you have it, you can exchange it for your next clue.

At the ARI, JK & Mike finish in 5th.

Treasuri & Louisa arrive at thhe Detour, they choose Badminton. Parul & Maggie choose Flower Power.

Anita & Tom finally finish the prawns in 6th.

At the Fast Forward, Will & Alex are at their 49th. Will vomits it out and its not censored ACK!

We're back. The bros can't take it anymore. Alex is concerned for Will who keeps vomiting. They give up and return to the prawn task.

At the Detour, Eric & Rona arrive at Flower Power. Eric & Rona get their first flower. Yvonne & Chloe right behind them. Yvonne & Chloe get their first flower too.

Treasuri & Louisa say that they're Indonesian and can destroy badminton. They say that they need to pick someone who looks like they can't play. They waste a little time looking for a bad judge and then get quickly defeated by the judge :lol: <3

JK & Mike arrive at the Detour clue and do Flower Power.

Teams must eat a 5-course snack. Mice, Bats, Scorpions, a Centipede and a Lizard.

Yvonne & Chloe are lost at the Detour but eventually trade in their flowers at the same time as Parul & Maggie. They leave 3rd-4th.

Will & Alex finally finish the prawn task in last place. It's night. :o

Treasuri finishes the mice and has to eat the bat next. Louisa says that the bat wasn't cooked properly. Treasuri cries. "You can cry but you can't choke". She's crying.

Interesting... looks like this leg was mid-afternoon to night. It would have been so much better as a night leg but it should be intense too watch races later on if ever.

Anita & Tom and JK & Mike are both at the Flower Power Detour competing.

At the Roadblock, Treasuri continues crying as Rona arrives and chooses to do the Roadblock.

Rona says that it was her greatest fear but she could fight through it. She begins eating.

At the Detour, Tom & Anita get 10 flowers.

Treasuri cries as she eats the lizard. Rona calms her down by saying that it's going out of her ass anyway and that it's Vietnamese KFC :lol: <3

Treasuri & Louisa get the Route Info. Make your way to the Pit Stop: Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Square. The last team to check in MAY be  eliminated!

At the Rooadblock, Yvonne & Chloe arrive. Yvonne is doing it. Parul & Maggie arrive. Maggie is doing it and asks for a barf bucket immediately :lol:

Treasuri & Louisa arrive at the Pit Stop! Treasuri & Louisa, you are Team Number One! They say that they didn't expect it. It was an emotional day and they FINALLY win a prize: Win two tickets to ANYWHERE that Garuda Airlines flies to.

Meanwhile, Eric & Rona run through traffic and check in as Team Number Three! Rona says that her strategy will keep working on trying to improve every leg until the end.

Anita & Tom arrive in 5th place at the Roadblock. Tom is doing it.

Parul & Maggie meanwhile, are ecstatic to check in as Team Number Four! They say that they keep improving and are happy to finish the middle of the Race. She mentions their past placements and say that it will only go up.

Meanwhile, Will & Alex finish the Detour. "We won't give up, even until we die".

At the Roadblock:

JK: IM GONNA BE THE FAT GUY WHO EATS EVERYTHING

JK then passes Tom and they're out in 5th.

Will & Alex arrive in last at the Roadblock. We do not see Tom & Anita at all.

Alex begins eating. He says he's just going to have fun on what is likely their last leg.

JK & Mike arrive as Team Number Five, with Tom & Anita finishing (I don't think I caught them finishing the RB but they were in a taxi) in Team Number Six!

Anita was sure they were out. Anita says that it was worth it to stay and Tom says that they thought they were fore-runners but they got taken down a peg.

Will & Alex finally finish the Roadblock.

"No matter what happens, we gave everything we got".

They arrive happily at the Pit Stop and do their mat jump again.

Will & Alex... I'm sorry to tell you that you have been eliminated from the Race. :torche

Alex says that he loves his brother and the Race helped them support each other no matter what.

Will says that he gained a deeper respect for his brother and they gave it their all.

"You can try to stop us, slow us down, but you will never make us give up. Muscle brothers out!"

Well, TARPH and the older seasons of TAR Asia were produced by ActiveTV. The next episode's task is basically a copy of the said task from TARPH. Although this season is produced differently.

I think some of next week's task are derived from TARPH.

Personally, this is best leg this season so far. Fast forward was awesome. Roadblock was amazing and entertaining to watch! Rona <3, Maggie <3.

Fast Forward: Most of the teams were smart enough to skip the fast forward (although the clue didn't state what the challenge was) because it was too risky to take it and it worked in their favor. Two teams went for it and no one finished the task. Great job TARA for putting that task as a Fast Forward. What if it was a Roadblock instead? Salute to Will and Alex for eating a total of 46 sticky rice. That was so hard.

Wow at Treasuri and Louisa. Three legs in a row. I never thought they could do that. The lowest finish they got was 3rd from the first leg then they got 2nd, 1st, 1st, 1st. Definitely the team to beat right now. Now, they have a huge target on their back if there will be a Yield/U-Turn in the next couple of legs.

I really wonder why there's ALWAYS strong/decent/able to survive FF teams in every season of TAR Asia to root for (JJ & Zabrina, Pamela & Vanessa, Diane & Ann, Ida & Tania, A.D. & Fuzzie, Claire & Michelle, Jess & Lani, Treasuri & Louisa, Yvonne & Chloe, Parul & Maggie etc.) but  it's always a lost cause more often than not for the US seasons.

And it's not like TAR Asia didn't cast any strong male/female teams or alpha male teams or what...........................

First of all, the fast forward delivered! It was challenging, even though it was luck-based. Normally, at least one team would win a challenged fast forward, and I thought Will & Alex would pull an Adam & Bethany. :lol: Luckily for the episode, it was a nice twist to see both teams quit the FF. :o I completely did not expect that.

The prawn task was a nice way to put a strong team like Tres & Lou off for a bit, but I also appreciate how TARA5 has an ARI every leg. That's not a common thing to see in the US TAR. :hrt:

The detour was meh. I don't see the connection of flowers or badminton to Vietnamese culture. The badminton task was challenging enough, and it was fun to watch Tres & Lou finish it since they're the only ones who went for it, which seemed like the faster detour surprisingly? :ascared On the other hand, the flower task was just okay. It was just another delivering task like many of those that existed in TAR.

The roadblock was much better. It was amusing to watch teams react to the exotic delicacies. :lol: Rona was really fun to watch there, especially when she made Tres & Lou laugh for a while. :funny: Also, I think it's a good thing TARA doesn't do title quotes, because they might suck if they do. Anyway, "As long as it's cooked, I'll eat it." by Yvonne should've been title quote in my opinion. :funny: (Well, maybe not, since it's out of context now. :stare The way she said it on the confessional was funny though. :funny: )

Pit stop was really familiar, like TAR15 familiar. (Yeah, same location, I know.) Anyway, I didn't want Tres & Lou to win at first since they've been winning too many legs already, but I'm glad that they finally got a well-deserved leg prize. :wohoo: Considering there was an FF this leg, there was a chance that someone who was lucky to win the FF had a chance to win that prize instead.

Yvonne & Chloe seem to show that they are not a team to be underestimated, especially for a pair of beauty queens. I initially thought they'd be typical ones, but I'm glad I was wrong. They are strong for a beauty queen team. :hoot: On the other hand, a male team like JK & Mike seem to be the underdogs of this season. They've just gotten lucky in the past legs they've messed up, thanks to other teams who messed up worse than them. :lol: I wonder how long they'll survive in the bottom.

I like the character developments in this episode. This episode had hungry Rona at the roadblock, vegetarian Parul also at the roadblock, the risk-taking muscle bros at the fast forward, and more!

What I really like towards the end of the episode is how JK & Mike and Tom & Anita thought they were fighting for last. After all, they knew Will & Alex went for the fast forward, but they didn't know they failed it. The roadblock battle between these two teams was so fun to watch, with JK & Mike being the latter team to arrive, yet JK finished the task faster than Tom. Tom finished right away or not long after, however. Their race to the pit stop was fun to watch too, because Tom & Anita thought they were really fighting for last, and JK & Mike thought they'd get 2nd to the last again. :lol: I like it when teams think they are fighting for last, when in fact there's a team way behind them that they do not know is way behind them. :yess:

The sky was darker when Will & Alex finished the prawn task, so I knew they were really way behind from there. The editing tried, but the sky can't be cheated. :lol: They were a fun team to watch, and even though they are the alpha male team of the season, they had so many misadventures that they were mostly at the middle or at the bottom for the whole race. Another team to be missed. :torche Although the music and live chat commercial hinted that this leg would be an EL and not a NEL. I hope the editors and the commercials don't take out the suspense like that. :res:

Meanwhile, Tom & Anita was the team I was hoping for to win the leg, but how they survived the FF that they quit and how they've been fighting for "last" for this whole leg was a nice angle to watch them from after being at the top for almost every leg (including the 1st leg where they dropped from 2nd to 8th on the last task). I'm thinking this leg's mistake was a humbling experience for them, and I'm glad they survived.

Hoping for another great leg next week! :hoot:

P.S. It's a fact easy to notice: Parul & Maggie have 5 different final placements in 5 different legs, from 3rd to 7th. :o

~Tom & Anita only have even-numbered pit stop placements.
~Treasuri & Louisa have 3 1st places, and the only other team with 3 same placements so far are Eric & Rona, with 3 4th places.

Nice to see the Fast Forward back. it created drama, unfortunately the muscle brothers were the victim  :( They were so fun to watch.
Glad Treasuri and Louisa finally got a prize after finished first 3 legs in a row.
I was laughing at Eric because he afraid of prawns. He reminds me of Robbie (TAR 25) who was afraid of fish in Philippine leg  :D
