:( This article (http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/envelope/la-en-st-0616-reality-sidebar-20160608-snap-story.html) may help explain why Phil got passed over for an Emmy nomination this time. :grins:
-
Glad we got the nomination! And I bet we will win Cinematography (while people's opinions of "We're Only Doing Freaky Stuff Today" vary, I think most people can admit that it looked amazing).
Also, in recent years, I feel that Phil hasn't done as good as a job as he has done in past seasons (though idk if it is his fault or not)
-
Not surprising, but TAR lost both of its Creative Arts Emmy categories:
OUSTANDING CINEMATOGRAPHY FOR A REALITY PROGRAM
The Amazing Race (CBS)
Deadliest Catch (Discovery Channel)
Intervention (A&E)
Life Below Zero (National Geographic) *WINNER*
Project Runway (Lifetime)
Survivor (CBS)
OUTSTANDING PICTURE EDITING FOR A STRUCTURED OR COMPETITION REALITY PROGRAM
The Amazing Race (CBS)
Shark Tank (ABC)
Survivor (CBS)
The Voice (NBC)
Who Do You Think you Are? (TLC) *WINNER*
-
 they had picked up wrong episode for TAR. Period
-
cinematography should have won. No doubt. (:;)
-
Well, Life Below Zero is a dramatic documentary-style reality show set in Alaska. I've seen a few eps here and there. But the cinematography, of course, is much more like a film and more dramatic than TAR's would ever be.
-
so...what are the odds on winning The Emmy for Outstanding Reality Competition?

I personally don't have much hope... :( I was pretty sure we would win the cinematography award, and with that loss, I don't think we'll pull out a win in a category we lost the past 2 years.

didn't we win in 2014???? :didimiss:
IIRC, the last year was the last time we lost with the morrocan episode....

oops, my bad!
TAR did actually win that Emmy in 2014, though it lost in 2013.
-
the voice won again?! (:;) :groan:
-
I figured with Ru Paul winning the Host category and all the other fresh winners tonight, maybe American Ninja Warrior could win. But The Voice is setting itself up to be the next TAR in the category, it looks like.
-
the voice won again?! (:;) :groan:
Damn :(
Maybe the way to win an Emmy now is to have a cast off all-The Voice contestants.
-
This is the end.
Shouldn't have submitted the worst leg in a long time :res:

I wonder what's going to happen to TAR now.
-
They should be submit either the TAR27 (HK/Macau leg or NYC finale leg) or TAR28 Georgia leg.
-
I wonder how we lost.... :gaah:
