Title: TAR 28 Scheduling (START DATE!)

According to TVLine.com, TAR 28 will premiere Friday, February 12,  2016 at 8pm ET/PT.

So that is official confirmation that CBS was unhappy with the performance of the s26 premiere on Wednesday last year.  Given that it's another stunt-casting season, if it had done well last year we could have gotten another90 minute starter this season.  That 1.5 rating coming out of survivor last year was unimpressive.

We don't know whether the premiere is an hour or longer. All we know at the moment is that the premiere date and start time. I haven't seen anything as to the rest of the schedule that Friday night, so there's no confirmation that the premiere is an hour or longer, or anything about the Survivor 32 premiere (that's the one that's been on the shelf since last spring.)

It confirms 60 minute premiere for TAR and 90 minute premiere for Survivor.

UGH. March Madness!

One week is one thing, but TWO is something else. Can someone look and see what happened to 26's ratings then? Can't be good...

IIRC, it didn't help the first week back, but then CBS did not promote season 26 as heavily as 28, and they need to promote 28's return during the tournament and at other times and maybe ads at other outlets so people see those.

TAR26 was consistently 1.3-1.2, then post-break it plumetted to inconsistent 1.2-1.0 ratings. :(

Darn, I was hoping for a two-leg, two-hour finale since you know what will happen in the 11th leg.
