Waiting for an amazing leg in India!
-
India is always hit or miss for me so I'm crossing my fingers for a HIT :D
-
I'M HERE FOR THE FIRST TIME THIS SEASON AND HOPING THAT I'LL BRING GOOD LUCK TO KELSEY AND JOEY / TIFFANY AND KRISTA / LOGAN AND CHRIS TO WIN THIS LEG.
-
can't believe I say this, but I miss India on my screen :<3
Second time for me this year since Canada just spent 2 legs in India (Kolkata/Delhi) :P
But yeah, I know what you mean. It is an incredibly over-visited country by the race, yet after not seeing it for 7 seasons you can miss it a little :)
-
:hello2:

I'M HERE FOR THE FIRST TIME THIS SEASON AND HOPING THAT I'LL BRING GOOD LUCK TO KELSEY AND JOEY / TIFFANY AND KRISTA / LOGAN AND CHRIS TO WIN THIS LEG.

Hoping for exciting leg!
-
Excited for this leg :conf: :conf: :conf:
-
I want that HD TV that is being advertised now. It will look goof for PS4
-
Here's secretly hoping for Justin and Diana to miss all the flights/trains/taxi problems/getting U-TURN/ U-TURN the wrong team / wrong person to do the Roadblock / do the harder Detour first / have problems with the Detour / got lost to the pit-stop / lose in a foot race to the pit-stop
AND IT STARTED
-
And we are on the air! :waves:
Previously on TAR...
Six team's raced to Krakow, Poland where Tanner & Josh started off slow. At the Detour,
Justin & Diana worked while Denise & James Earl played. Logan & Chris couldn't see eye to eye, but the Green Team were in sync. Tiffany & Krista and Tanner & Josh duked it out to not get last place, but fortunately a non-elimination was revealed.
Six team's continue to race, who will be eliminated next?
-
Six teams raced in Krakow.
At the Detour, Justin & Diana worked, Denise & James played. Logan & Chris argued.
The green team won the leg.
Roadblock hits against the friends. Josh & Tanner were spared on elimination.
Six teams remain, who will be eliminated next?
-
6 teams remain... who will be eliminated, next...?
TIFANNY AND KRISTA - "WHY ARE WE ALWAYS PUSHING THINGS?" :funny:
SO MANY UPDATERS <3
-
Short intro again :res:
-
6 teams remain... who will be eliminated, next...?
TIFANNY AND KRISTA - "WHY ARE WE ALWAYS PUSHING THINGS?" :funny:
SO MANY UPDATERS <3
should've been title quote last leg <3
-
I was asked to update but I'm glad there is so many people doing it for me.
-
I was asked to update but I'm glad there is so many people doing it for me.
it's just only me and Rachel, and I'm bad at updating
-
U-Turn plotting With Tiffany & Krista and Tanner & Josh
Justin & Diana are instructed to travel to New Delhi, India and take a train to the city of Agra. Upon arrival, they must find their clue box on the banks of the Yamuna River.
-
Justin : "we won..... How many legs?
How confidence
-
that kind of laugh should've been banned in every country in the world
-
I agree with James Earl. Can't wait to see the Texas boys sharing a tuk tuk.
-
that kind of laugh should've been banned in every country in the world
:funny:
-
Tiff & Krista have an epiphany that they can't U-Turn any team; meanwhile, all the team's are plotting against two respective teams: Green and Texas!
Everyone flies into Delhi, India at night. They are culture shocked by the plethora of people sleeping at the airport. More U-Turn conversations - so predictable.
-
removed for rudeness
-
since when throw someone under the bus is in TAR?
-
please evict Justin
-
Josh and Tanner wants to figure out what Justin and Diana are thinking.
Josh and Tanner wants to be there...
Texas and Cheerleaders wants to both be there.
"Something is gonna happen tomorrow"
J/D 10.04pm -> New Delhi, India then to Agra
"CAUTION U-TURN AHEAD"
Justin and Diana: We won.. how many legs?
ANNOYED JOBBY #1 TIME
12.58am K/J
12.59am D/EJ

2.02am? T/K
TANNER AND JOSH?? No departure?
Justin and Diana are always out in front...
Justin and Diana can't wait to see the Dallas boys goes home.
And Justin keeps on evil laughing like WTF?
Annoyed Jobby second time.
TANNER AND JOSH ARE FIRST SEEN IN INDIA? HUH? Why do they get out first so fast.
Denise and EJ in second
Denise shocked
Kelsey and Joey and Logan and Chris discussing U-TURN
Tiffany and Krista VS Logan and Chris and Justin and Diana stirred the pot.
Justin and Diana are so annoying
ANNOYED JOBBY THIRD TIME
-
I guess now not only the audience hates Justin&Diana
-
Finally, morning beginning to rise and Krista accompanies Kelsey & Joey about the current weather forecast. :funny:
Teams riding Tuk-tuks to the clue box destination! Woohoo!
-
CHRIS I AM SCREAMING OMG
"IM GONNA UTURN HIM RIGHT NOW" <3 <3 <3
-
Ok i'm sick with Justin
Someone plz kick him from the race now
-
Roadblock: Teams must pedal a bicycle to a riverside "laundromat" and wash/dry their basket of saris to receive their next clue.
Krista already crashes riding the bike and everyone lugs it to the station.
-
LOL THIS SPEED BUMP I CAN'T
-
yay physical challenge. and it's in india. it's like old TAR
-
"As your speedbump you both have to perform this roadblock"
What?! I kinda like this but WHAT?!
This is the kind of thing that makes me doubt that the NELs are predetermined.
A rule like this makes it easier to say that the race is rigged :/
-
RB is cool though
-
"As your speedbump you both have to perform this roadblock"
What?! I kinda like this but WHAT?!
This is the kind of thing that makes me doubt that the NELs are predetermined.
A rule like this makes it easier to say that the race is rigged :/
such a lazy speedbump
-
Logan and Chris are like "I'm gonna U-TURN him now"
Justin and Diana are like "They're in trouble"
PLEASE LOGAN AND CHRIS U-TURN THE S*IT OUT OF JUSTIN AND DIANA
"Sensory overload with the U-TURN ahead" WTF was that Phil?
All teams in the TUK TUK <333333333
AND INDIA DELIVERS ALREADY OMG OMG OMG
Tiffany and Krista, are they in first??
Denise and EJ are damn shocked to be in the TUK TUK and zooming through
YAMUNA RIVER HAS THE NEXT CLUE.
And T/K are first WTF WTF
ROADBLOCK: Who's ready for laundry day?
HAHAHAHAHA THEY RETRIEVE CLUE FIRST CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?
Krista doing it.
Chris doing it.
Krista drives the bicycle with the laundry in it and falls.
Denise doing it.
Krista struggling
Tanner and Josh both have to complete it for the Speedbump? (4th)
WTF?? WTF?? HOW DID TAR EDITORS GET THIS LAZY?
Kelsey and Joey fifth (Kelsey doing it)
GREEN TEAM LAST YES YES YES (Diana doing it)
CAN'T BELIEVE I'M SAYING THIS BUT GO LOGAN AND CHRIS
"I tend to do Laundry at our house" - Diana (HOW SURPRISING)
GO DENISE PLS PLS PLS PLS SURVIVE
I HATE THIS SPEEDBUMP?
BUT I LOVE THIS ROADBLOCK <333333333333
-
I like the idea of this Speed Bump but this task is too huge to be a Speed Bump TBH srynotsry.
-
I'm calling it now... This is the last leg for Josh&Tanner... that speedbump + a more than likely u-turn is just brutal.
-
I can't wait to see the faces on the U-turn/W-turn board. :conf:
Meanwhile, that mechanic on the speedbump was new. :ascared It sounds like the handicap in TAR… Norway? ???
-
I like the new Speed Bump configuration. It's cheaper, yet just as time-consuming for the penalized team.
-
I AM SHAKING AT THE POSSIBILITY OF DUSTBIN GETTING UTURNED AND IM NOTT EVEN WATCHING
-
"If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands! If you're happy and you know it wash clothes!" :luvya:
-
Denise is my queeeen <333
singing in India <333
Can we have Ron & Denise racing in India to sing together? <333
-
Poor Tanner & Josh
I just wonder how the roadblock count work for them
-
Denise is my queeeen <333
singing in India <333
Can we have Ron & Denise racing in India to sing together? <333
"I hope he doesn't croak on us." - Ron in TAR12
-
I really like how all the colors look in the sand :)
:colors
-
Teams must travel to the Hanuman Temple and receive a blessing from a priest before their next clue.
-
detour <3<3<3<3<3<3
-
The possibility of a race for last place between Josh&Tanner and Justin&Diana because of a W-turn would make the overediting of both teams at the beginning of the race sort of redeemable.
-
Detour: Cans or Candy
In Cans, team's must load a cargo bike with 120 cans and deliver them to a specific location to receive their next clue.
In Candy, team's must prepare 90 lbs of white pumpkin and form them into a candy known as petha. They will receive their next clue after a full delivery to a candy stall.
-
If that particular wins this leg once again :stare :stare :stare
-
Can the three teams doing Candy just be the Final Three thx
-
Logan: "Just keep my name out of your mouth"
-
Guess J /D get the lead again, U-Turn Texas, and get 1st place.
And it seems I was right.
-
I feel like we know so much about Justin... he was a boyscout... I guess...
-
I love this India leg even though the tasks seem so "primitive".
"This Is Not My Idea Of Making Candy" - Logan (what should have been the title quote).
-
when other teams make sounds i giggle but when justin does it i feel sick to my stomach
-
LOGAN & CHRIS PLEASE WIN THE LEG
-
single uturn to save justin yay!!!!!!1111111111
-
SINGLE U-TURN = BEST U-TURN
-
IS A SIMPLE U-TURN AND NOT A W-TURN!
-
SINGLE U-TURN = BEST U-TURN
U-Turn location: Binji Chala ?? ?? ?? Intersection. It's so long.
-
WE ARE BACK!
Tanner doing it and wants to do it fast (stop talking please)
Krista found a new way to fold her laundry!
Kelsey: I can do my laundry if I want to.
Denise: If you happy and you know please wash your clothes.
Tanner: Anyone not U-TURNing us?
Diana and Krista says no.
Denise done with stirring the pot of laundry
Diana done with stirring the pot of laundry
Krista still flipping her laundry
I don't know who's first...
It seems Tiffany and Krista are last again.
Denise: I want to sit down and cry.
Everyone doing the Roadblock
Tanner is pretty close.
Joey almost done.
Joey is done with Roadblock (1ST PLACE PLS OMG)
Chris is done with Roadblock
Diana is done with Roadblock
Tanner is done with Roadblock
If you get to experience a different culture, it's different and I'm happy to be a part of it - Kelsey
DETOUR: CANS OR CANDY
Reporters: Cans
Paparazzi: Candy
Green team: Cans
Others are still at RB

GREEN TEAM'S TAXI DON'T KNOW WHERE TO GO. THEY ARE LOST.

-
SOMEONE UTURN IT
SOMEONE KILL IT
-
Single uturns are pointless IMO, would much rather see the yield reintroduced
-
omg this is so intense
-
it took 9 legs for the editor to properly edit this season
-
Can the three teams doing Candy just be the Final Three thx
OMG FINAL 4 FOR THEM. PREACH
-
The speedbump is so long, and it's so unfair. :( Even the difficult speedbump in TAR20 was better than this.
Meanwhile, I kept shouting "Hurry!!!" when I see Kelsey & Joey and Logan & Chris. :funny:
Also single U-turn, thank you for coming back! We miss you, and it makes the leg more exciting! :ascared
-
when other teams make sounds i giggle but when justin does it i feel sick to my stomach
I suggest you not watching this anymore until Justin and Diana is eliminated or you will be sick badly.
-

-
chris is the most ott male contestant ever and I love him <3
-
welcome back single U-turn
and MrDS (am i too late to say this?) :conf:
-
I AM GONNA TYPE IN CAPS FOR THE REST OF THE EPISODE UNLESS GREEN TEAM DON'T GET U-TURN. IT WILL BE BORING IF THEY ARE IN 1ST AGAIN. WTF.
-
I don't want to hate them. I really just don't want to hate them but their editing + Justin cockiness makes it so easy to root against so please get lost in India and make this season interesting.
I feel like the possibility of the new speedbump taking so long was the reason to re-introduce the single U-Turn
-
im speechless kill me now
-

Nary & Jamie's speedbump in Tanzania gotta be one of the hardest SB ever.
I kinda like two ppl doing RB as a SB so I won't complain lol. But wonder how the RB rule will affect this.
-
:gaah:
-
BYE
-
As a result of Justin & Diana arriving first, they choose not to U-Turn. Kelsey & Joey U-Turning Tanner & Josh!!! Logan & Chris get their clue at the roundabout in third.
Pit Stop: Teams must make their way to the Moonlight Garden! Last team to arrive could be eliminated.
-
Logan: "It means we're still stuck with the green team."
Chris: "I don't care"
-
WE ARE BACK.
GREEN TEAM: "THERE'S NO GOOGLE HERE"
Kelsey and Joey, Logan and Chris dashing there.
OMG GREEN TEAM IS FIRST AGAIN? WTF. LOGAN AND CHRIS WANTS TO GET OUT AND RUN.
GREEN TEAM ARE FIRST AGAIN. WTF.

Green Team are first again.
Who's surprised? I hate my life
Phil: Can you please tell me it's number six.

*Moves this season closer to TAR24 in rankings*

India produces the best pit stop greeter <3
-
Oh geez, an interrupted barber greeter. TAR13 Gardener copycat.
My first thought!
-
Denise & James Earl are lost whilE TAnner & JOSH ARE completing the other DETOUR.
-
And Denise and James Earl are lost -_-
If Justin and Diana are first and Denise and James Earl are last that's it. I'm losing it.
-
are they seriously trying to create tension between a team NEAR the pit stop and a team no where NEAR the clue BEFORE the Pit Stop? Wow.
-
I need to cry.

I believe TAR *redacted* is worse and has been burned in hell?
-
1. Justin and Diana
2. Kelsey and Joey
3. Logan and Chris
4. Krista and Tiffany, they're angry because Kelsey & Joey uturned The Texas.
Denise and James are lost (Did they tell the tuk-tuk wait for them?)
Tanner and Josh are doing other Detour.
-
If James Earl & Denise are eliminated, I seriously consider to only watch this season from Wikipedia

Yes but what I mean is, I don't think going to the Pit Stop is anywhere near as hard as going to the Uturn, going BACK to the Detour, going BACK to the U-Turn and then the Pit Stop :P

I think the first ever Speed Bump by Kent & Vyxsin on season 12 (yoga) is harder than the teachers'

This leg should be NEL again thx and then DEL ****** next time just for existing thx
-
removed for rudeness
-
I think I like it more when a team is obviously out and we get a little montage for them.
This fake tension is not doing it for me.
-
I LIKE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS LEG EXCEPT JUSTIN AND DIANA WINNING. (Unless D/EJ goes home)
-
another leg to re-edit and cut out j*****'s screentime woohoo

At least 27 had great location. And dealing with Justin is a little better than that 60-years-old-WHINER from the season who make me want to throw my laptop away every 10 seconds. :res:
-
the suspense is killing me, i rather have Tanner & Josh win the whole race then seeing Justin & Diana winning it
-
Denise and EJ survived. Okay.
Bye Tanner and Josh. Thank you Kelsey and Joey for not U-TURNing T/K and D/EJ. But you guys suck for not being in front of green team.
Bye
-
What an anticlimactic foot race to the Pit Stop. But happy for the surviving team!!!
Now Tanner & Josh are last and ELIMINATED, dun!
-
This thread has more bitching than the real bitching, moan, and squeal thread

http://www.buddytv.com/articles/the-amazing-race/amazing-race-justin-diana-too-58126.aspx
The Problem with Justin and Diana Winning
The issue with Justin and Diana's dominance goes beyond Justin's obnoxiousness. It doesn't help. Justin certainly makes the Green Team's supremacy harder to swallow. If Justin was more likable it would be less egregious but the problem with one team winning is the same regardless the personality of the team. The Tortoise and the Hare isn't a good story because the Hare is trouncing the Tortoise for the majority of the race. I mean, the Tortoise and the Hare is a stupid story regardless but one of the points of the fable is that it isn't fun to watch someone being beat so soundly in a race.
There is no tension. There is no interest about who will be in first because by the time the leg starts Justin and Diana have already finished it. This is an obvious exaggeration but it's still boring to watch an episode of The Amazing Race when Justin and Diana are so far ahead. There is never a sense of Justin and Diana fighting to stay in the race, there's rarely a chance of them fighting for first place.
It's even hard to invest in the rivalry of Justin and Diana versus the other teams because we almost never see the teams interact. The Green Team is so far ahead of everyone else that the other team's desire to beat them is some abstract idea. There was some crossover in the first couple of legs. Now it's hard to remember the last time Justin and Diana were on screen with anyone but themselves and Phil.
Can The Amazing Race Stop it?
The Amazing Race probably has a lot more planning than most reality shows. The amount of travel in a season sort of necessitates it. I think it would be wrong to assume that The Amazing Race is on autopilot for the entire season. If they want to step in, put in an extra hard challenge or a U-Turn, they can do that. I'm sure that the contract that the teams sign protects them from The Amazing Race producers targeting them so they can't make a better show. The Amazing Race can't actively try to get Justin and Diana out but maybe they should level the playing field.
Maybe there should be more of those catch up points The Amazing Race puts every so often on the race. These would not only allow some of the other teams to catch up but it would make for a more interesting race. The Amazing Race is at its absolute best when two teams intersect and are frantic to beat one another. More catch ups would certainly make that more a regular occurrence.
I understand the counter-argument to this though. It's not as if Justin and Diana are cheating on The Amazing Race, at least not that we know of, they are coming in first on their own skill. This shouldn't be penalized. It doesn't matter if it makes for less interesting viewing, The Amazing Race should let Justin and Diana get what they deserve. I understand this point of view and respect it. It a fair assessment. The part of me that wants to be entertained though can't abide it. Justin and Diana need to go or fall in the rankings and soon.
But what do you think? Are Justin and Diana TOO good at The Amazing Race? Is that that the other teams are just bad? Do you enjoy watching Justin and Diana win? Do you even like them more than the other teams? Who do you think has the best chance of beating them, if anyone?
The Amazing Race season 27 airs Fridays at 8pm on CBS.
-
I smell riot!
-
on the bright side justin is nowhere to be seen for the preview...
THEY ARE TOAST NEXT WEEK PLEASE
-
Sad to see Tanner & Josh go. But at least it's once in a while we got alpha M/M that is not dominating. Which is refreshing to see! :<3
-
India part 2, with Justin.
IS THIS THE FIRST NEXT WEEK ON TAR WITHOUT JUSTIN? OMG OMG OMG.
-
India always delivers and this leg is actually good--aside from obvious reasons.
Next leg also looks really interesting. Logan & Chris crashing the party <333 omg what are they pushing it's so flashy
-

At least J&V is very entertaining. I'd rather watch paint dried over Justin lauging. :res:

When even the MEDIA acknowledge that they suck and ruin the season <3 <3 <3
-
even media hates j....... lol
-
I was just saddened with Tanner & Josh's elimination. I wasn't rooting for them from the start, but after sacrificing themselves last leg and getting a speedbump here, I seriously think they deserve to return. :(
Also, I think I'm one of the few who do not hate Justin. :gnome :hides :peek I just wish some other team wins, like Kelsey & Joey. :gnome
-
Gamer when you edit this leg, or any other legs, can you remove all of Justin's laughter? I'm annoyed.
-
yep totally agree but sad to see they lost :(
-
Justin & Diana is annoying version of Rachel & Dave tbh...

I already did for the past eight legs :<3
Enjoy!

After this episode and the preview for next week, I have to admit, as someone who hates Justin & Diana (as a team obviously), that the teams this season are simply WEAK and Justin & Diana deserve their recent wins (I didn't think they deserved their wins earlier in the season because of the weird/stupid leg designs).
Look at their competition now:
Kelsey & Joey - somehow they have the worst luck.
Logan & Chris - I hate seeing Logan all fed up... it's hard to see that because we haven't seen that kind of behavior from a female in so long
Tiffany & Krista - at one point in the middle of the Race they seemed like they were going to become a strong F/F team (they were in the front for quite a bit). now they're just hanging there. I don't think they have a chance to win at all :(
Denise & James Earl - idk, they don't usually beat Justin & Diana. But I'm all for them beating them. I'm all for any of these teams beating them but I just can't see it happening.
Anyone else think Justin & Diana could be the first to win 5 legs in a row :gaah:

Justin & Diana is annoying version of Rachel & Dave tbh...
Or Damn and connor in TAR [explicit]

(in a perfect world)
OMG I can't believe Tanner & Josh fought through their Speed Bump and won the leg!
Denise & James-Earl so close! :( Win the next one please!
Tiffany & Krista third <3
OMG Justin & Diana U-Turned Kelsey & Joey! Those bastards!
Logan & Chris 4th!
Justin & Diana are lost.... so Kelsey & Joey power through and get 5th!
Justin out! :hearts: :hearts: :hearts: :hearts: :hearts:

Finally! :funny:
Sad to see Tanner & Josh go. But at least it's once in a while we got alpha M/M that is not dominating. Which is refreshing to see! :<3
True. They used to dominate at the beginning, but now... :stare

Logan & Chris - I hate seeing Logan all fed up... it's hard to see that because we haven't seen that kind of behavior from a female in so long

Hayley was entertaining with Blair's submissiveness. :funny: In here, Logan & Chris really argue with each other. If ever I have to pick 1 of these 2 teams for the next all-stars, I'm going with Hayley & Blair.

I hate to say this but I dislike it that whoever gets in last place last leg, will get last place this leg because of the U-TURN. I mean everyone is all for U-TURNing the strongest team. But usually, more than often, the weaker teams get targeted and they end up getting U-TURN instead.
I was thinking and this leg planning will only work, if the U-TURN, is immediately after a Detour, which is the FIRST task of the leg. That will ensure that Tanner and Josh don't already DEFINITELY end up with no chance at using a U-TURN because they already are handicapped with so much time lost at the Roadblock/Speedbump.
I think it has been mentioned many times, but they need to stop putting the U-TURN as the last thing of the leg if they want the leg to be interesting and exciting. They need it to be right smacked in the middle, with another task or two after it.
I seriously am pretty annoyed by U-TURNs at the end of the leg and TAR route planners reading this needs to freaking get this right.
-
"Rooting for Green Team now" was probably the funniest part of the episode. I'm going to miss Team Texas.
Honestly, Team Texas got screwed up by the "Double Roadblock" or whatever that was. WTH???????????????
-
TBH this a great episode aside of freaking laugh of Justin that almost made me puke....
RB was ecxellent, the new concept of SB was a huge surprise but great and deserved to continue
The detour was great too... A comeback of U-turn could have been better if Kelsey and joey had arrived first
This is a really solid leg (and could be top-tier leg if J/D didn't win)
-
Cast Rank:
1. Logan & Chris (Logan losing her crap once again never ceases to make me laugh + Chris going "I'm gonna U-Turn him right now" made me laugh for a whole minute)
2. Tiffany & Krista (back to bottomgoddessing <3)
3. Denise & James-Earl (thank god they survived)
4. Tanner & Josh (:torche)
5. Kelsey & Joey (when your faves are problematic but tbh they had no choice because I'm sure they could have inferred that Justin was ahead? Plus if they used it on a team ahead of them Denise would be toast)
*bottomless pits of the core of the earth*
6. :)
-
The Speed Bump was AWFUL.
I'm all in for a Roadblock U-Turn, but not like this.

AMEN!!
This really annoys me...speedbumps are usually 12-15 min long. No idea how long that RB took, but clearly way longer. AWFUL speedbump.
And then Phil calls it on the MAT...
You had no chance unless someone else got U-Turned.
Sorry..but that is AWFUL route planning!!
-
Bye Josh&Tanner... It shouldn't have been you tonight.
I hate to hate Justin&Diana. I really do, they are racing great, they recover when they make mistakes and Justin is having fun in the process but I can't deal with Justin overconfidence/cockiness and if Diana is not arguing with Justin she pretty much doesn't exist. I'm just gonna blame the editing process because I've never feel this way about a team. Is so immature of me.
Kelly&Shevonne got eliminated because they took too long at the puzzle.
Alex&Adam got eliminated after being drop off in the wrong location by their taxi (even though we didn't see this)
Ernest&Jin got eliminated because they couldn't possibly recover from missing a bus.
Jazmine&Danielle got eliminated because they made too many mistakes in the same leg.
Cindy&Rick got eliminated because they made too many mistakes in the same leg.
But Tanner&Josh got eliminated because they had too many tasks to do. That double roadblock was brutal and then getting u-turned by Kelsey&Joey was too much for them to recover, especially with the u-turn being just before the pitstop.
-
I didn't the watch the EP yet. Did the Speedbump require both Tanner & Josh to perform the RB at the same time? OR they need to wait for their teammate to finish before they can start their own?
-
The downward decline of Tanner and Josh is just sad to watch.
-
i cant believe im saying this but i would rather see jonathan/victoria race again than **********
Ok no, lets not get crazy here. Do you really wanna watch an abusive relationship again? no, not again. We don't need women getting pushed by their partners while running with 2 backpacks... I'll take justin everyday of week.
-

Wtf. Then I'm hating this with passion. I thought at first that it require both team member to do it AT THE SAME TIME which seem fair enough.
This just screw over Tanner & Josh. :'(

Because I was reading a lot from this thread, and because of the excitement in the U-turn, I forgot to give my comments about this leg. :funny:
The roadblock was good! There was some difficulty shown, and it's already the 9th leg.
The detour was great! Both tasks were equally difficult, and again, it's the proper difficulty for the 9th leg of the race.
The speedbump is what I don't like. Even if Tanner & Josh don't get U-turned, they still don't have a chance. I can't really be sure about Denise & JE's time consumption for getting lost to the pit stop. ???
The U-turn was a shock! :ascared I didn't expect Justin & Diana to not use the U-turn. Instead, it was Kelsey & Joey who used it... on Tanner & Josh! :ascared I remember in the earlier legs, Leg 4 to be specific, that Kelsey & Joey had an alliance with both Tanner & Josh and Justin & Diana, and that Joey was puppet mastering. :funny: I also remember them mentioning that they don't mind breaking an alliance with Justin & Diana. Now, it seems that the tables have turned. Could this be some sort of karma for not giving the EP to Kelsey & Joey? ??? Maybe not, but the story in Legs 3 to 4 seem interesting to connect to the recent U-turn. I understand that it was a strategic U-turn since Kelsey & Joey were with Tanner & Josh at the front of the pack earlier in the race. Also, it seems like Kelsey & Joey were the quiet ones after all. :oh Joey seems to have practiced his puppet mastering pretty well. :funny:
Overall, I think this leg was great! :yess: Justin & Diana may have won, but the task difficulties and dramatic plot twists seem to make this leg great. :hoot: One way to make this leg better is if Justin & Diana were the ones U-turned, because they're strong. Unfortunately, I didn't get to see that. :(
Edit: I said I didn't like the speedbump, so I'll just give this leg a "good" for my personal rating.
-
This leg was rigged for Justin & Diana.
No Double U-Turn means lesser chance of them getting U-Turned and the Speed Bump helped it.
It was rigged and nothing can convince me otherwise.

I'm convinced that the editors think this is a positive look for Justin&Diana. Like "here, look, this are superfans kicking ass in this race" "this could be you". But is not working.
-
After the winning of those teams from 24 and 26, I really have ZERO trust in editing and portray of the teams.
-
Tanner & Josh did two Roadblocks and two Detours :'(
That is all because they friendly allow Tiffany & Krista to check-in first last leg
Otherwise, either T & K or Denise & James Earl is eliminated this leg :ascared
The outcome of this leg could be very different considering the following
(1) Tanner & Josh got 5th and T&K last for Leg 8 > T&K / D & JE out
(2) T&K did not use the u-turn in Leg 4 > They can u-turn D&JE to save the boys > D & JE out
_____________________________________________________________
Tanner & Josh officially ties the record of Abbie & Ryan of not improving for 7 consecutive legs (Coincidently Leg 3 - 9 too):(

Seriously hope Kelsey & Joey and Justin & Diana will be the next two boots and miss out the final three :gaah:
-
After much pondering, my opinion about this leg has changed.
They gathered, lathered, and rather built much emotions to serve our eyes and ears tonight - no matter how much of our inner bitch resurfaced or cried in disbelief and relief. I felt spiced by tonight, perhaps it's my chai tea concoction, but I don't sense the cinnamon and ginger in the editing this leg. On account of all this, let me get this review over with.
LEG 9 (Poland --> India) EPISODE REVIEW
Drink: Masala chai tea
We started watching this leg, and immediately, dirty laundry about the upcoming U-Turn tumbled off teams' tongues like Swiss cheese from season 14. After flying into Delhi, there was dirty laundry indeed, especially the first task.
ROADBLOCK (SPEED BUMP): (Who feels "sari" for this season?)
The laundry task brought some good TAR scenes like a bike crash and decent struggles, but I feel like the everyday clothing chores task has been way overdone. Luckily, Denise singing "If You're Happy and You Know It" saved this task from being simply a mark-off. As for Tanner & Josh's Speed Bump during this task, I like the concept, just not how much time that was consumed.
ROADBLOCK SCORE: 8.4/10
After laying the fabric, a Detour followed once teams received a priceless blessing by a Hanuman Temple priest.
DETOUR: (Un"can"ny Coincidence or Sugar Coated Facts)
Just the basics, two delivery tasks to a certain place. Maybe too substandard for my savor-bound taste, but the editing throughout this bit was better. Not totally interesting, but pretty good interactions between teams.
DETOUR SCORE: 8/10
At the end of the day, a 6th win for Justin & Diana comes through, closing in on bumping Nick & Starr down on the leader chart, and nearing Rachel & Dave. Unfortunately, Tanner & Josh lose by a shave.
OVERALL: 7.8/10 (causes of lower score by lackluster and insufficient/inconsistent editing)

One flaw with your logic: We were super close with Texas and the Cheerleaders. None of the three of us would have u-turned one another.

1. Tiffany & Krista out because the other detour was quite physical.
2. Since Denise & JE got ahead of Tiffany & Krista to the U-turn, the latter team would be wasting their U-turn power as well, albeit smartly wasting it this time.
Additional coincidence with Abbie & Ryan: Both teams won Legs 1 and 3, then getting the boot in Leg 9 due to a U-turn.

We are on pacific time and so we haven't been able to watch the episode yet.... But according to the results posted on the site, I have lost interest in watching any further episodes, including tonight's episode. I was semi-rooting for Kelsey and Joey, but the stunt they pulled in U-turning Josh and Tanner who already had a speedbump to overcome was malicious (Kelsey and Joey had acted like they had a semi-alliance with Josh and Tanner).
Anyway, on to the next season... no 28 spoilers here please.
-
I now only rooting for the cheerleaders, the paparazzi and mother/son.

After this episode, I think it is safe to say that this is my ranking of the seasons on the post-AS2 era.
1. TAR25
2. TAR26
3. TAR27
I don't like this decline, so I'm hoping TAR28 will be great! :hoot:
-
Bummed out Tanner & Josh are eliminated. :'( :gaah: They suffered the same fate as Nicky & Kim of Season 23. Both are likable teams, both had to complete a Speed Bump, Both were U-Turned by teams who sought revenge. Nicky & Kim outsmarted Tim & Marie on a flight scramble to Portugal. Kelsey & Joey not getting the Express Pass from Tanner & Josh. Tim & Marie got karma and did not win Season 23. Kelsey & Joey, you are next.
Tiffany & Krista and Denise & James Earl, please make the finale!! Rooting for you both. 2 of my Top 3 are still left. :cheer: :conf:
Tanner & Josh, please come back for All Stars and join other worthy contenders such as Kym & Alli and Hayley & Blair to name a few. :cheer:

A shout out to Kelsey and Joey (who I am convinced are watching the posts), you are mean - you knew the cheerleaders would have been eliminated last leg if the Texas person had not let the cheerleader go ahead when the cheerleader was complaining that her arms were hurting and that the tray was too heavy during the challenge; it was the Texas person's good character that made him let the cheerleader go first... And Kelsey and Joey, you had the nerve to U-Turn the Texas team! Oh well, under the law of physics, for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction ... but you probably don't care if you are the final winners ... but be careful, there is a lot of time in life where our actions will catch up with us!

They had no choice, they wanted Justin out and wanted a threat out, and there was no way of them knowing how Texas lost, and that was their best option?

They can not Uturn Green team and out of four other teams, Tanner and Josh are the most threat.

I believe Kelsey & Joey weren't making a personal U-turn.
If I'm not mistaken, they U-turned Tanner & Josh because of the latter team's potential strength. ??? They were a threat at the beginning.
-
I have no problem with kelsey and joey u-turning texas.
I have a problem with them somehow sucking and not getting 1st on so many accounts. :funny:
-
So the Speed Bump was pretty much an attempt at TAR Norway's "Handicap"
Instead of a Speed Bump, a task everyone had to do would be made more difficult just for the Non-Eliminated team.

I think it was a wise decision for Kelsey and Joey reminding how great T/J did in early legs...
But yeah still a miserable moment :'( I hope they comeback in AS3

This episodes mark the evil side of Kelsey & Joey
I believe Denise & James Earl and Tiffany & Krista hate them so much after this leg for u-turning the boys
There is a feeling for me that the production wants to turn the audience from supporting the news anchors to rooting against them :gaah:
(I do hate them for lying too)
-
I don't think J&D are acting as villains. They stirred the pot this leg but they haven't resorted to any kind of manipulation like, say Rob & Amber. What I've noticed in most seasons is that once a team gets a close call, they put their game faces on and start racing seriously, and make sure they don't make any mistakes. The most obvious example is Tammy & Victor after their breakdown in Romania. They had a close call but became aware of their disadvantages and were able to overcome them for the rest of their race.
This season, Justin & Diana already had their close call in episode 1. If you pay attention, they only get cocky once they're on the mat, so I'm pretty sure the cameras are not showing us how cautious they are being.
Denise & James Earl, Logan & Chris and Tiffany & Krysta have already had their close calls by being spared elimination or by almost being eliminated, however they only seem to get ahead when the challenges suit their skillsets, whereas the Green Team is more versatile. Logan & Chris could be a strong team if they stopped being so impulsive and communicated better with each other, but it seems their lack of communication will be their downfall.
Kelsey & Joey are realistically the only competition J&D have remaining. However, the news anchors need yet to face their close call so that their inner fire lights up. They just need the extra push.
In the event that Justin & Diana don't make it to the final three, the odds are pretty even for everybody else.
-
Sad to see Tanner & Josh go. But at least it's once in a while we got alpha M/M that is not dominating. Which is refreshing to see! :<3
I have to agree. I never liked alpha male teams, so part of me is glad to see Tanner & Josh go. However, Justin is more annoying than Tanner & Josh, so part of me is also sad to see Tanner & Josh go.
-
Justin posting that he wanted to win every leg in his thread(lol at no qstns last week) has really spoiled this season for me.
Did you really expect him (or any other racer) to say "I want to finish 5th!" If you have a competitive bone in your body, you want to win.

The speedbump is crazy. There is no way Tanner & Josh could catch up
and Kelsey and Joey, left the RB in 1st place, receive the blessing in 1st place but ends up doing the detour behind Justin and Diana? If they kept on getting behind Greens, I'm sure Dave and Rachel's record is reachable for Justin and Diana
-
Okay I've calmed down after this leg
Other than Justin/Diana and the unfair Speed Bump + Single U-Turn, I really loved this episode!
The tasks were amazing, and it was really fun to see every team really neck to neck for almost the whole leg (+ the editing really helped a little by NOT showing Tanner & Josh as 100% screwed).
Next week looks like an INDIA NIGHT LEG, and here's hoping it's not linear and Justin & Diana goes then because an India night leg is AMAZING already  <3
-
This episodes mark the evil side of Kelsey & Joey
I believe Denise & James Earl and Tiffany & Krista hate them so much after this leg for u-turning the boys
There is a feeling for me that the production wants to turn the audience from supporting the news anchors to rooting against them :gaah:
(I do hate them for lying too)
if the boys was not uturned, Dennis and James might go home. So no reason for them to be angry.

What would change if it was W-turn? It did not affect Green team at all.

If James Earl said earlier that they wouldn't U-turn any team, then everything would just go as is. Tanner & Josh would still go home.
If Denise & JE would be able to use this 2nd imaginary slot on the cheerleaders, it's the cheerleaders who are most likely going home.
-
The girls would have been dead this episode if Tanner and Josh did not allow them to get ahead last leg.
I just feel sad for Texas cause they got eliminated not due to their inability to perform
but because of really bad leg planning. The last time I felt the same way was with Nary and Jaime's elimination and I hated that season too.
I now think I know where the best season ever rumours probably started from, but just alarmed by the fact that as a fan himself, he would think that his season would become OTHERS favourite season considering the tasks, and mediocre teams.
Thank goodness the locations are okay this season -.-
-
It should real speedbump
-
That was unfair speed bump for Team Texas :(
There were so many easy speed bumps in previous season like delivering things that country girls got in S24 (2x same speed bumps) or sitting on ice for 10 minutes in S17 (Kev & Papa Jumba). Impossible for Tanner & Josh to survive against double RB & double detour :torche :torche
But I'm glad Tiffany/Krista & Denise/James are still in
-
I think the speed bump was not fair and was too time consuming. I note that this is the first time we see the speed bump this season (latest ever appearance). Maybe starting from this season onwards, all speed bumps become both team members performing the RB?
I do not really like the fact that the U-Turn was placed at the end, and there was only one.
Still, I would rate this episode as a strong one. The inter-team rivalry/drama was so intense and amusing. The editing for this leg is a lot better. The part where the teams were interacting on the train was great.

If you mean this is the latest appearance of a Speedbump EVER, then it's not. S26 had a Speedbump in Leg 10.
And I think it's tied with S18, as the latest ever first appearance in a single Season.

No, TAR23 had a Speed Bump on Leg 11

I'm so stupid. And now come to think of it, so did S25! :funny:

Justin & Diana are making this season so boring for me! I hope they don't win. Grrrrrrrrr!
I think it wasn't that bad to U-turn Team Texas. I mean, for me, I prefer them to be eliminated rather than Cheerleaders or Alabama tbh.
Btw, I hope Tiffany & Krista are not getting mad with Kelsey & Joey for the U-turn, instead of going against Green. They have to beat Green, or no one will win (except Green).
PD: If you read the title of episode 11, they spoil us one team that will survive on episode 10... Thanks TAR. :/

With all the hatred towards Green Team, imagine if they had've been Eliminated in Leg 1 due to the Fast Forward. :funny:
We would've got a MUCH Better Season. :(

A hundred times better season. :'(
The bad thing is. If they win this season, I'll be pissed. But if they don't win, they will return to an All-Stars season or whatever, and I'll be so much pissed off. xD

:groan: I never even thought of this! (:;)
It mightn't be so bad though, because they'd definitely be humbled when racing against true All Stars like Kym & Alli, Misti & Jim, and Hayley & Blair. :hearts:

PS POSITIVE THING ABOUT THIS LEG: ALL PS PLACEMENTS WERE SAID BY PHIL NO CUT BS  <3

and they actually put emphasis on the greeter! They've been becoming a smaller and smaller part of the show these days.

I think the producers hoped that somebody would U-turn some team other than the one having the speed bump. That would probably have given us a very exciting struggle between those two teams to not be last. Alas somebody used the U-turn on the team with the speed bump, thus sealing their fate.
But I must say that I'm disappointed with all the posts here whose only purpose is to say how much the poster dislike one specific team. If you don't have anything constructive to say then don't say anything.
-
I liked the Pit Stop -- too bad there was no real footrace or anything. It seemed like based on the location, production was hoping for one.

I disagree. If you're putting yourself in public view you're opening yourself up to criticism. The point of the viewers having an opinion is to praise and/or criticize.

Right?
Justin posting that he wanted to win every leg in his thread(lol at no qstns last week) has really spoiled this season for me.
Did you really expect him (or any other racer) to say "I want to finish 5th!" If you have a competitive bone in your body, you want to win.
If I had a messup Leg 1 like that I would be relieved to not be first boot, not upset/mad I didn't win the first leg, but that's just my modest opinion.

There was a potential one with Logan/Chris and Kelsey/Joey, as they checked in almost the same time. But oh well

AMEN. (using this word too since it has been thrown around so frequently)

Sure criticism is fine. But a post saying that the poster hate one specific team and hope they are eliminated is not criticism, that is just a random negative opinion. Unfortunately there is already too much hate in the world already so we do not need any more.
Besides we have the bitch moan and squeal thread for that kind of posts.

hi all!
This is my first time to leave message here!
Tanner and Josh is one of my favourite teams this season, sad to see them go
By the way, I have just visited Justin and Diana facebook, and saw some guys commenting that Tanner and Josh actually didn't taken the extra minute to read the instructions. The guys said Tanner and Josh can actually both do the rockblock at the same time. Just wondering if anyone of you has any idea about his comments? Is it really true?
-
:welcome: to RFF boggart!! I had not heard that but will def check it out! Thanks for the heads up!!

hey thanks georgiapeach for your warm welcome!!

There is no way we know if the instructions said that they could both do the roadblock at the same time. But in my opinion, if they could both do the roadblock at the same time, then it is not really speedbump because they would finish even before some teams without any delay. Maybe Josh could do the RB after Tanner finished the first stage of RB?

I agree with u totally... if they can perfotm the toadblock at the same time, it is not a speedbump at all... i dunno why those guys come up with such idea...

Actually, going back when I watched it, my understanding was both of them should do the task but it's not clear when the other can do it or they can do it simultaneously. If that was the case, I think it's still will consume energy not necessarily the time.
-
I think it will still be considered a speedbump even if both of them do it at the same time. It drains the energies of both racers.
