TRIBES DROP THEIR BUFFS IN A SWITCH THAT WILL SHAKE UP ALLIANCES, ON TWO BACK-TO BACK EPISODES OF “SURVIVOR” WEDNESDAY, MARCH 18
“Winner Winner, Chicken Dinner” and “We're Finally Playing Some Survivor” – Tribes drop their buffs in a switch that will shake up alliances. Also, one castaway struggles after receiving a blow to the head, and another castaway’s desire to flex his power in the game could be his greatest weakness, on two back-to-back episodes of SURVIVOR, Wednesday, March 18 (8:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network
-
Hooray! Can't wait to see things get shaken up, putting people out of their comfort zones.
I watched the live from NYC RHAP Podcast by Rob Cesternino, and they discussed the reasoning for the double-episode might be because the first episode keeps the tribes intact and may be another sort of lull episode like ep3, but the second episode is where the season heats up.
-
Hooray for the tribe switch!
I'm still hoping that they do the switch in EP 4 and maintain 3 tribes - that would be a great twist, I don't think it has ever happened before? And then they could go into the merge with 3 tribes, which would create never before seen dynamics (surely would be something great for the 30th season) :hoot:

I agree, that approach to the merge with maintaining 3 tribes/potentially 3 different alliances is something that hasn't occurred (or if it does, one alliance ends up absorbed by flipping people to the 2 major alliances.)

RIP on dave's prediction game with 2 episodes. bwahhhahahahahahah

Survivor - Winner Winner, Chicken Dinner/We're Finally Playing Some Survivor (Preview)

The preview says three tribes will turn into two <////////////////3 :(
-
I am seriously surprised at how after many seasons with the 3 tribe format they have never done a switch maintaining 3 tribes and then going into the merge with 3 tribes. :umn:
Especially for the 30th season that would have been great!
But still, I'm really liking this season so far and I'm really hyped for the double episode!
-
That seemed like a lot of blood. Hope Kelly is gonna be ok
-
My guess is Sierra and one more of the Blue girls hooks up with Hali-Jenn or Hali-Joe.
REALLY hope Kelly doesn't get pulled for that...looks like it could just be a bad scratch though, like Randy had in Gabon.

I think she's a trooper and she might even continue on in the challenge after a short medical check (or maybe there was none and she just told Jeff that she could go on).

-
THANK YOU LORD FOR PUTTING AN END TO THAT
-
OMGGGGG
MAX :( :torche :torche
I really liked him :(
-
Definitely bummed Max went home but now I think Carolyn knows she's replaced him and can use Shirin and Kelly to knock stuff into her favor if she wants. Doesn't make sense for caro to be totally on the bottom of this new group by ousting Shirin next.
Sierra is not an outsider by any means, she's a crucial catch for all, and Joe is likely to be a big swing vote in that tribe.
Lindsey didn't add much, wasn't upset to see her go. Less blue collar come merge please...
-
I rlly hope Nagarote wins next IC. I want Rodney gone.
-
It is rumored Rodney, Sierra or Shrin go home next.
-
Sierra <333, hope she goes deep in the game.
-
Sierra <333, hope she goes deep in the game.
3
Yeah
-
I don't like any of both new tribes... I'm not going with any tribe, I'm just going with my favorite players. -.-
New Escameca:
I really hate Mike and specially, Dan and Rodney.
I like Tyler, Sierra and Joe. I like Joaquin too, but please, why he will go with Rodney on the next episode!? Please Joaquin, STOP! :(
New Nagarote:
I like Carolyn, Hali and Jenn.
I didn't like Kelly at Escameca at all after voting out Lindsay instead of Rodney. I don't care too much about Will, and Max and Shirin can be fun, but annoying too.
I would love those new tribes:
- Escameca:
Dan, Mike, Rodney, Kelly, Max, Shirin, Will. -> And lose all the challenges. Muahaha!
- Nagarote:
Joaquin, Joe, Sierra, Tyler, Carolyn, Hali, Jenn. -> FAVS. <3
All my favourites are on the same tribe, and I think it's more balanced.
-
just opened survivor page on FB, and all i can see is people fighting because no collar killed the hen instead of the rooster :groan: )-**
-
FB fans legitimally have a point in there tbh
-
yeah, but i'm surprised only few people talking about the challenge, alliance or the tribals
-
Rodney... Oh my gosh... I was so hoping he would be gone when Kelly and Mike seemed to have their doubts about him. I felt so bad for Lindsey and Sierra. I really hope he goes soon!
The new tribe match-up is so uneven! I wonder if Blue would ever lose a challenge. It's that tribe that I really want to see some of the guys gone.
I thought that Red was gonna vote out Shirin, was a little surprised when it became Max.
-
They better merge at 12 with this kind of unevenness...I can't believe Jeff didn't schoolyard pick, what with 3 girls going out in the first 4 votes. It's not like schoolyard vs. draw a buff makes a difference in planning, they could have switched it up.
Only if the next challenge is HEAVY on puzzle/memory/etc do I see Escameca losing.
-
If we got one like he balance beam where you have to get by every person then Nagarote could succeed in that physical kind of task. Otherwise they need a merge!
-
I mean... it's all random, so we can't complain.
Wasn't very happy with the boots, very surprised to say the least, but I also didn't want Lindsey to go as I liked her quite a bit and Rodney is just so obnoxious... :gaah:
Max was one of my faves, but he played a terrible game (so did Shirin), especially during this episode, so he kinda got what he deserved. I don't see the logic in keeping Shirin over him, though, Max seemed like the best asset to Nagarote in challenges... ???
I liked this episode overall, and Jenn's finding the idol was unexpected. 2 idols on the same tribe now, with one on Escameca still left unfound
It's also weird that they haven't given out any clues since the premiere, and that was also only a choice that ended up with Carolyn finding the idol with no clues whatsoever.
