90-minute premiere! :yess:
Hopefully they can keep/add the magic that TAR 25 has been bringing us!
-
so wait it two esoidpe per week :stare
-
Nope. It just premieres alongside Survivor on that Wednesday, then it will move back to its regular Friday timeslot.
-
Keep it at Wednesday at 9pm <3
-
90 minute premiere!!! I've been waiting for this for a while :conf: :conf: :yess:
-
The last season to get a 90-minute premiere was TAR 17 --- and that season was a great one! Hopefully this one delivers.
-
It's interesting that we already have a premiere date, and filming of season 26 hasn't begun yet. I can't recall that happening in a long time (TAR 6, IIRC).
I am surprised that we're having the season 25 finale less than a week before Christmas Day. It's been a long time since CBS did that, too.
And it's been about the same amount of time (TAR 6?) since a premiere episode and a regular episode aired in the same week.
But this all does confirm what I mentioned in another thread earlier. Undercover Boss is the connecting show between the 2 seasons of TAR this broadcast year; and it's likely to stay that way.
-
When does Tar 26 filming start?

When does Tar 26 filming start?
You have already asked this question before. The filming date will not be known till we get sightings of the teams competing!
-
OMG Wednesday at 9:30 PM <3
That's the perfect time slot for it to go against weaker competition from other networks, hopefully CBS keeps it!
-
The press release says 90 min premiere 930-11PM then 2 days later to its regular timeslot 8-9PM Fridays.

Here is the correct answer:
While we usually do know, RFF choses to NOT reveal the actual time and place until the racers are safely underway.
Open starts excepted. :funny:
So just watch the TAR 26 thread....

-
GREAT news.
The best part is that getting a 90-minute post-Survivor premiere shows that CBS still cares about TAR, even if just a little. So very happy about that news.

+1
Now we need to know if the Friday showing is episode 2 or a shortened repeat of episode 1. ???
I suppose it's too soon to look it up on TV guide?
-
It's Episode 2. It's a new episode in the "new" (regular) timeslot.
-

Finding it a bit strange that Survivor goes at 8 and TAR at 930? I would have considered TAR a better fit for a family oriented 8PM slot, but since they clearly don't care when it is watched, anytime in the first few days seems fine to CBS!!

Well, since it's Survivor's regular timeslot, plus having more viewers, I think CBS wants the extra eyeballs to check out TAR. So Bertram & Co. will need to have a HUGE premiere.
Like start it off with a bang with an amazing Starting Line task to keep those Survivor viewers tuned in then fill the rest of the Leg with social media-ready tasks that will get people talking and spreading the word :hoot:
-
Yipeee on the 90 minute premiere. ? on Survivor slotted before Amazing Race.
Yet Yaay for the date and the 90 minute premiere. WOW for 2 episodes in the
first week. Bye bye.
-
YESS! I will not move for 3 hours that wednesday. Pity I have school the next day, but, priorities.
-
I wonder what the editing will be like. Especially since this is the first HD season to get a 90-minute premiere.

'
Well one of the questions should be where will this leg take place? It'll be interesting to see how far they go with the leg.
-
i wonder if this will affect the starting line at all? Knowing that you have a 90 minute premiere instead of only 60 minutes and that you have the potential to lure in some survivor views I wonder if they are going to make some last minute tweaks to the starting line and first leg or if that is already set in stone.
-
I hope we get two more years at least :conf: Cool that season 26 is on the books.
-
SURVIVOR SHOULD HAVE ALWAYS BEEN A COMBO WITH TAR AND VICE VERSA LONG AGO.
ok minus caps for excitement

Isn't that what the entire first page of this topic was discussing? Anyway, thanks for taking the time to share it with us. :yess:

My bad, Plaid!
-
OK, I can understand what happened now. I have no problem with it. I certainly don't want to discourage anyone from passing on news when they find it. The more people doing that, the better it is for all of us.

Just have to avoid spoilers until I watch it ;) I wouldn't improve the ratings anyway as I'm not in USA so... It really doesn't suck for TAR, just for me ;)
