IMPORTANT! Even though we are a spoiler board, we do NOT want to have the episode spoiled while it is airing.

This will be more important than ever this season since Canada will be airing ahead of us any week we have Sports delays.

SO!! If you are watching anything but an EST US feed, it is your responsibility to be sure you are not ahead of us if you want to post/update in this thread. Other feeds may be way ahead of us.

SO PLEASE ** NO OUTCOMES ** to be posted before the show is done airing East Coast time!

Anyone breaking the rule is at risk of being banned. :browsie:

And NO future spoilers either! And NO spoilers ever in the Contestant threads either.

Otherwise, come watch with us for the best weekly viewing party in town!! :party:

11 teams began a race around the world. With 2 EPs, Nicole & Travis kept their eye on the prize. Ally & Ashley bonded with the Afghanimals. Chester soared at the roadblock while Kim faced her worst fear and conquered it. A mistake by Nicole & Travis gave Tim & Marie 1st place instead and the 2 EPs. An error by Naina sealed her and her dad's fate, and they were eliminated.

10 teams remain... who will be eliminated next?

Nicole & Travis depart at 3:02 AM.

Rowan & Shane depart at 3:08 AM.

Tim & Marie find out there's an hours of operation for 7:15 AM.

NFL depart at 3:13 AM.
Nicky & Kim depart at 3:14 AM.
Ally & Ashley depart at 3:20 AM. Leo & Jamal call Ally & Ashley race wives.
Leo & Jamal depart at 4:00 AM.

Nicole turns 40 today... and she asks for the EP. :funny:

Jason & Amy depart at 5:17 AM. Tim & Danny depart at 5:28 AM. Brandon & Adam depart at 5:34 AM. $589 for this leg.

Uhm, Marie is being a control freak and telling people to put their backpacks in order... People aren't too happy about it.

Ally & Ashley are out. They're happy they beat Tim & Marie.

A bunch of teams get the clue from the officer.

Brining: Add enough salt to a water tub-thing and read the local newspaper.
Mining: Break opens boulders of salt until they find one with a clue.

Brandon & Adam and Ally & Ashley are off biking to the detour. Leo & Jamal pick mining because they're not water creatures, lol. Nicole & Travis do brining. Travis: "What a nice way to start off your birthday... a nice salt bath with your husband." :lol: Amy insists on doing mining, but Jason isn't sure about that...

Rowan & Shane are lost.

Nicole & Travis, NFL and Jason & Amy are all biking. Nicole is having trouble with her gears. NFL passes Nicole & Travis. Nicole is having so much trouble riding her bike. She falls over.

Rowan & Shane are still lost.

Nicky & Kim pick brining. Tim & Danny pick mining.

Back at mining, NFL starts smashing rocks. :lol:

Once there, proceed to Plaza de armas. Afghanimals finish the detour in 2nd. Afghanimals see the girls in their bikinis... Oh dear.

Tim & Marie arrive at the brining detour. Marie sees the girls carrying 1 bag... and she carries to bags. NFL finishes detour in 3rd.

Rowan & Shame finally get their detour clue. "I don't want to talk. You're using my air."

Afghanimals see Rowan & Shane on the way back. "They're so screwed."

Nicky & Kim arrive at brining.

Brandon & Adam are on the 1:30 PM bus. Afghanimals find out the bus ride is 24 hours... They ask if there are pretty ladies on the bus. :funny:

First bus departs at 1:30 PM. Rowan & Shane find out that there's a different bus that arrives at 4 PM... The 2 PM bus arrives at 6 PM the next day...

Rowan & Shane trick the people on the 2 PM bus... They're going to get in at 4 PM. OMG LOL WOW. OMG LOL. THEY FIND OUT THAT THE BUS DEPARTS AT 4 PM BUT ARRIVES IN SANTIAGO AT 10 PM. OH MY. :funny:

First bus arrives at Santiago. Teams see the cluebox. Jason & Amy reach the roadblock first. Roadblock: Who got the knack to pack? Shoeshine the first customer and then figure out how to put together a stand. Then push it to a depot area and they will get their next clue.

Amy, Chester, Leo, Nicole and Adam finish the shining. Leo reads that you have to pack everything... Nicole's stand is falling apart.

Nicky talks to Tim about baseball... Nicky's husband and Tim know each other. Marie sounds like she might give the EP to baseball. Tim & Marie think that they can be a good alliance and that they can beat them at the end lol.

Leo's stand is not approved. The position of the stuff is not correct. The people tell him to go away and repack it. Chester is out of the roadblock in 1st. Leo is out in 2nd.

Pit stop: Cascada de las animas. Last team may be eliminated.

NFL arrive on the mat... They're the 2nd team to arrive... but the first team didn't pay their cab bill... and Chester & Ephraim are team #1! They won a trip to... where? :lol:

Afghanimals go back and settled the bill... Uh oh, Leo & Jamal are arguing on the mat.

Ashley is out of the roadblock. Marie isn't pleased. Danny's stand was approved. Danny helps Marie. :res:

Rowan finds out that he did the entire roadblock incorrectly, lol.

Marie isn't happy with Rowan. Marie complains to Tim... Yuck. Marie for the title quote.

Best scenario ever! I was absolutely irked about the return of the Double Express Pass. I hope Marie will throw it out of a self-drive car like what some generic robbery or "party" movies do.

Usually we get two or three teams in the back trying to catch up and fighting to not be eliminated but this time is everyone's game, is like everyone is fighting for it, I LOVE IT! Everyone wants it so badly.

Too bad I'm getting this feeling that this season is gonna be all about Marie vs everyone else (teammate included)...

Now that the Nicky&Kim are out of the question for the second EP, I think the next team in line is Tim&Danny.

I thought the last 15 minutes was fabulous! I loved the drama and Rowan saying "Marie is the devil" <33333

I am really starting to dislike Marie and her very controlling nature, and now it looks like they are turning on the baseball wives </3 They go from liking them to disliking them.

When Team Bingo were switching buses I also had a flash back when teams all picked the first bus to leave one seson and it turned out to be the slower option. Alas they were wrong.

Post by: supah on October 07, 2013, 05:24:16 AM: ok im probs one of very few BUT I REALLY LIKED THIS EPISODE! the first challenge on the boat felt like one of those TAR fantasy game challenges that we never seem to get on the actual show! the bike ride and detour were both very photogenic and required some sort of school, we had some fun mid-leg travel (which can either be good or bad) and the roadblock showcased the city.. AND we got a bit of it at night! add in a bit of drama and i thought it was a pretty decent episode for leg 2... yeah :)

Anyway, just finished watching on AXN-Asia (this morning live stream's not working for me :( )

I'd like to give some comments on this leg,

First of all, I love how this leg run!
From the design point of view, the first task to solve the riddle at the beginning of the leg is soo me! I wish they keep doing this once every 3/4 legs to figure out their next destination..

The detour location was amazing..!
I never thought before, that salt could be mined..all this time I only think that salt was filtered and processed from the sea-water.. :lol:
the detour task is ok, I love the brining one (not because all the girls were wearing bikinis..no, I'm not Leo :P ) , only the reading newspaper stuff is not really fit.. It will be much much better if while they floating and enjoying the bath tub, they must eat a local delicacy or some cookies.. It will create a different sense I guess..

The mid-travel by bus seems like Bangkok 2.0 TAR19,
only they did it better this time by doing RB instead of just feeding the fish frenzy..

The RB is just so-so, not bad, but yeah,
we have seen shoe-shining task, especially in Turkey, good thing this time they try to manuever it a little with the local culture by packing those racks.. Need a good organizing skill and not-too-hurry-and-panic condition so that the rack won't messed up or fell down..

As for the Pit Stop, they killed it, especially for the second group arrival..
Too bad they couldn't enjoy the view, and yet the Mat was moved from the wooden-bridge to the entrance of the park.. It just seemed not right to have a pit stop at national wild park at night.. too cold too dark to realize..

But overall, it was that little drama performed by the last group that attract audience's comments and makes this episode another win.. :)

4 tickets from Iquique to Santiago is around $300 and Santiago to Cascada de Animas is around $80

Seriously, they basically made every mistake possible in TAR book. When I heard one of them say something like, "I don't want to talk, you're using my air", I knew that they would not last much longer. They seem like nice guys, but the race was just too much for them. As much as they want to blame the she-devil, they have only themselves to blame.

So far, I am liking the football players, and Brandon & Adam. I am not a fan of the AfganAnimals or the she-devil (who annoys me the same way as DisGrace), who just seems to enjoy danging that 2nd Express Pass in front of everyone. The others, still have to wait and see.

But wow, with the AfganAnimals, with the meltdown at the mat. Still, I was glad that they did not come 1st at the mat. Enough already with the ice girls being their wives.

The doctors in this season, are reminding me of the doctors of the Canadian edition. Funny how Nicole was telling Marie that it was her 40th birthday, hoping for the 2nd Express Pass. Like she would.
