GLOBAL SUPERSTAR JENNIFER LOPEZ AND WORLD-RENOWNED RECORDING ARTIST HARRY CONNICK, JR. JOIN GRAMMY AWARD-WINNING ARTIST KEITH URBAN AS JUDGES;
“IDOL” VETERAN RANDY JACKSON RETURNS AS IN-HOUSE MENTOR; RYAN SEACREST CONTINUES REIGN AS HOST
Grammy Award-winning and platinum-selling recording artist, actress, movie and television producer and entrepreneur Jennifer Lopez returns to AMERICAN IDOL XIII as a judge. Lopez will be joined by Grammy- and Emmy Award-winning multi-platinum singer, musician, songwriter, composer and film/television and Broadway actor Harry Connick, Jr. The two will sit on the IDOL judges’ panel with previously announced judge Keith Urban, the four-time Grammy Award-winning country artist who has sold more than 15 million albums.
Rounding out the team is IDOL veteran Randy Jackson, who will lend his industry and IDOL expertise to the contestants as an in-house mentor. Once again, the team will be led by Emmy Award-nominated host Ryan Seacrest, who has guided the IDOL contestants and judges through each season’s incredible journey.

IDOL hopefuls will meet the AMERICAN IDOL XIII team when the auditions travel to Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Detroit, Omaha, Salt Lake City and San Francisco. AMERICAN IDOL XIII debuts in January 2014 on FOX.
Universal Music Group’s Interscope Records, under the direction of Chairman Jimmy Iovine, will continue to release IDOL winner and contestant music.

These are awesome decisions! J Lo and Keith, two of if not the most effective judges, and also seeing a fresh face on the judging panel. It's also great that we get to see Randy Jackson again but in a new position. Hopefully, having a change of duties will be a good opportunity for him to assist the contestants more effectively.
I can't wait for AI13! It might be #13, but as it stands, us viewers may get the lucky side of the coin!

TBH, American Idol 12 was really good. Angie, Kris and Candice did make the Final 3 and it was a shame that Angie didn't win (she had the entire package)... BUT, it is a singing competition after all and Candice was the only one who blew the competition away with that ONE stellar performance of hers which I completely reckon as the next most sensational performance after Fantasia's Summertime in SEASON 3. :)
Angie fan here... although her performance of You Set Me Free was... :o :o :o it still cannot be compared to Candice's one.
