:hearts: :hearts: :hearts: :hearts: :hearts: YAY ERNIE AND CINDY!!! :hrt: :hrt: :hrt: :wohoo: :wohoo:
Former racers are particularly welcome to chime in too, we value your experience and input!!
It's hard to say whether we could have still won the final leg if we had this $2 million twist. I don't know if we would have made any different decisions, since we did our best to make it through each leg anyway! Much of the game is about luck too - and who knows what turn of events could happen differently! Most of the teams didn't really help us out on our season. Everyone was so friendly to each other but once we left the pit start, we knew we were racing against each other. The Buddha challenge was so difficult. Ernie and Justin wanted to work together right away because we knew we weren't first (Andy/Tommy, Zach/Lawrence had already finished) and we knew we were still ahead of all the rest of the teams. When you finish in the middle of the pack, you may as well help each other out. In the end, it was Ernie who figured out the hand motions anyway so he may have been able to complete that challenge on his own.
:hello2: Ernie & Cindy and :bigwelcome to RFF! I really like the $2 million idea but I'd like that if Abby & Ryan get eliminated, Amy & Daniel would have the chance to win the $2 million. And so on.
 I don't want the two million to go to waste.
And also a question from me: Did you ever consider U-Turning Andy & Tommy at the second Double U-Turn? (I'm not doubting your choice, you were there and we weren't).

Duh , i forgot that Ernie was the one who lead that 4-people pack through the roadblock. I really think you would have won the 2 million bucks anyway! Thank you for anwsering!! :hrt: :<3
Hi Airlinesguy!
Oh that's a really interesting thought!!! To have the $2million get passed down... but then the team that wins the final leg only has to hope that they finished in higher rank than the other two teams running in the final, right? I think the point of the $2million was to create suspense throughout the season, until Ryan & Abbie either win, or get eliminated!
As far as the U-Turn goes... we never wanted to use it :groan: The Malawi leg where we didn't use the U-Turn and then Andy & Tommy outran us on the beach was so devastating and our morale was crushed. What wasn't shown was a big bike accident I had during the fish delivery roadblock. You can see the bruises on my legs in the Brussels episode. I had a really tough time running that day and just didn't have the steam in me for that final stretch. Then the next leg was the exact same situation - we were in 1st place with a really strong team just minutes behind us. We know Bill is an awesome manual-car driver (we were not so lucky with our driving skills) so we needed to buy us some time. It was never about targeting a specific team to u-turn, it was just to help us get a moral victory so we could get our heads back in the game. In hindsight, I don't think I would have u-turned anyone so we could hopefully have won that leg fair & square. But, it's a tool in the game for players to use and what's the point of tools if you don't use them?:hello2: Ernie & Cindy and :bigwelcome to RFF! Hey Ernie and Cindy!! How did you find Indonesia and do you think the teams will have a tough time there?
And just a personal question do you think Canada (specifically Toronto) would be a good destination for the race?
Aaaaaaaah so happy to see you here, Ernie & Cindy! :hearts:
To be honest, I don't think it's that big of a twist. It doesn't really make a difference until the last leg, but it does put a bigger target on Abbie & Ryan.
Just wondering what your thoughts are on Amy & Daniel telling Abbie & Ryan the location of the woman with the abacus only to get passed during a foot race.
Thanks you two for being here!! :hearts:
I too would like to know...how do you cope with being the strong team with a target on your back? Did Abbie and Ryan just become the team to beat at all costs...or since they can't win the $2 million, will the other teams care??
My favourites are the Chippendales, the Twinnies, and then everyone else close behind.
I think WRP did a great job casting this season, and I'll be looking forward to the rest of the season! I want more Twinnies quotes! :lol3:
Favorites are James and Abba , and Gary and Will :hearts: :luvya: :hearts: :luvya:
I like the blondes , too!!!
I think WRP did a bad job on the route for this Season... :( :( :( :( :( :( :(
I know I shouldn't be reading this thread because I still haven't watched this episode...
So, I'm just randomly posting here to say that I love Ernie and Cindy! :hearts: :hearts: :hearts:

Well , if you see from our spoilers here , there is noShow contentafricaand noShow contentnew countries, and we have China andShow contentRussia/Netherlands/Indonesiaagain (which are too recent) . I was hoping for new things...new countries. But let's see how good are the tasks , before saying it all...
I think it's too standard andShow contenteurope based. But that's just my opinion , hee
And about the rockers , they went bad on the navigation , it could be a first place... :(

Oh... yeah I forgot about the spoiler thing! I would love to see Bhutan or Nepal... or Laos... there are still so many more countries to visit!!!!
What about locations , guys , what was your favorite place to Race?
I loved it! I think we shouldn't have a Detour on the first leg , really. But it shouldn't be ONLY 1 roadblock too! So it was perfect to get the race started!!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And my last question cause it's already 2 AM here in Brazil    :
We had some unaired things in the Indonesia leg , and in the Taipei leg...could you tell us a little bit about the unaired things on the race?
(check the anwser tomorrow i guess     good night y'all!!! and thanks to cindy and ernie for anwsering my thousand questions    :hrt: :hrt: :hrt:)
I wonder if a Detour-RB was just too time consuming to show? I like the RB-RB format, I just wish that we had more time to see everything.
What do you all think about eating tasks in general?? Even culturally semi-relevant ones?

The eating tasks are always so disgusting. Cindy's family is from China so she has been presented with some really gross things to eat, but once you get over the thought that 'you're not supposed to eat this', it's usually not too bad. Except once she ate duck tongues in soup and those were gross because they still looked like a tongue.
The eating challenge that is the most memorable was when they ate the cow lips. Which season was that again? There were 2 teams doing the challenge together because of the intersection, and they still didn't finish first. The cow lips were hairy and still had teeth in them! ewwblechewewe
Hi Ernie & Cindy! :waves:
I just LOVE how you guys are still involved in the TAR community. I always love reading your tweets and opinions on the current race! Always nice to see fans of the show win it and still enjoy their experience even after the show has aired!! Thank you guys for sharing your experience of being on the race with us all! Ernie and Cindy love :hrt:
My question for you guys: With multiple teams walking straight past the lady with the abacus this leg, I wondered if it's actually quite difficult to see and find the clueboxes/Phil/cluegivers as they make it appear really obvious on TV. I know when you're racing hard you're tired and hungry etc, so does that come into play a lot when you're paying attention to detail? On your season, did you see very many markers around the locations and clues?? :) Sorry to bombard you guys with so much, but I just adore you two!

Laos was supposed to be the fifth leg on your guys season!
Its so surreal speaking to the winners of the Amazing Race! :-[
Just dawned on me...AMy/Daniel lost the first place by seconds, AND Rob/Sheila lost the leg by seconds. I don't remember a race with two closer finishes!

It was in Season 10. And Dustin & Kandice bet the Fast Forwarded people. :conf:
Hi Ernie and Cindy! I only discovered The Amazing Race at the start of this year and looking through them you were one of the few winners I didn't mind winning (Rachel and TK maybe being another). Would have liked the snowboarders to get to the final as well though.
Anyway I found this premiere really disappointing. The tasks just seemed recycled and pretty easy, I hardly got to know any of the teams, the editing just seemed for those with a short attention span as it was so rushed even though not that much was happening. The only real drama seemed at the end in finding the abacus. And I don't see the point of the 2 million twist, it only concerns one team now and I really wish they had used any extra money for tasks and locations.
I don't really have a question for you, Ernie and Cindy. Just wanted to say congratulations on the wedding, and I hope you can come back and do this every week, if you can. :) Thanks for taking the time!

The new clueboxes actually started only in TAR 19 right? I remembered we thought there was a conspiracy for the finale task for TAR 19.. turns out it was a false alarm! Would have been such a great finale memory task for that season!
