Ever notice, 2nd/3rd place has mostly the "story of the season"
3rd Place
S1: Team Guido
S6: Adam & Rebecca
S7: POW and his pageant girlfriend
S8: Florida
S10: Team Alabama
S11: Charla/Mirna
S12: Nicolas/Donald, Donald, Donald is oldest final 3 contestant ever
S13: Andrew/Dan, frat boys
S14: Margie/Luke, Luke is the 2nd ever deaf racer
S15: Team Zebra/Team Zebra Crossing
S16: Dumb blondes/Beauty Models
2nd Place
S7: Romber
S12: Ronald & Christina, dad & daughter
S13: Separated Couple Ken & Tina
S15: Dysfunctional Siblings Sam & Dan
S16: Cowboys who need to grow up

I'd add Ken & Tina's marital issues on Season 13, and Jordan's Dream for 16.
Also worth mentioning Rebecca dealing with demon boy (6) and Rob'n'Ambuh stealing the spotlight (7)

Um...the top-placing teams usually get a story of the season, simply because viewers see so much about them. The only time I've ever seen a lower-placing team get a "story" to say is when they do something outrageous and/or full of drama.

1. nope. Adrian of TARA is the first. I'll do concede that Luke is the first on the American version.
2. Their over-reaction to Jordan's Q-cutting and their off-air spat with Carol & Brandy...

I just think that the 3rd place are always teams that i do not like:
TAR - Joe and Bill
TAR 3 - Ken and Gerard
TAR 4 - David and Jeff
TAR 5 - Brandon and Nicole
TAR 6 - Adam, but HEARTS REBECCA
TAR 7 - Ron and Kelly
TAR 8 - Weavers
TAR 11 - Charla and Mirna
TAR 13 - Dan and Andrew
TAR 16 - Brent and Caite
I have better luck with teams i do not like finishing third. But there was only one team that i really like who came in third - Lyn and Karlyn.
Other third places i do not mind winning:
TAR 9: Ray and Yolanda
TAR 10: Lyn and Karlyn
TAR 14: Margie and Luke
TAR 15: Brian and Ericka
Yep, just 4 teams.

Honestly, I've only had a few 3rd place teams I really liked:
Blake/Paige (TAR 2)
Ken/Gerard (TAR 3)
Nick/Don (TAR 12)
Margie/Luke (TAR 14)
Also didn't mind:
David/Jeff (TAR 4)
Brandon/Nicole (TAR 5) --> though these two did get annoying sometimes
Rebecca...just Rebecca (TAR 6)
I pretty much dislike everyone else.
