I'm right here, darling. Not having a TV sucks. I do have NFL Sunday Ticket online. I'll do my best to provide overrun times when I can.
I want people to salute me when I project the start time within two minutes.
-
You do know how to watch things on the computer, I hope.
God knows I would never encourage illegal activity (cough cough) but they also have some slower legal ways to watch don't they.
-
Well, I bought the NFL Sunday Ticket Online through DirecTV so that's legal. As far as trying to watch TAR this season, I have no idea, short of actually spending time at my parents' house. :snicker: :snicker:

An NFL runover on Sunday, 9/27 could delay start times for 60 Minutes (7pm ET) the premiere of Amazing Race (8pm ET) and Cold Case (10pm ET).
If so, you'll receive a message on Sunday with exact details of revised start times.
Thanks for registering for this CBS Eye-lert.
-
I got that e-mail this evening too.
-
The late games will run until at least 7:15 p.m. on the East coast theoretically. I'm in the midst of a huge project for work, but the games are on in the background. If I can, I'll try to update you on times.
-
Remember, CBS has three late games, Miami-San Diego, Denver-Oakland and Cincinnati-Pittsburgh. Just because one ends early does not mean the markets receiving that game will get Amazing Race on time. Those markets will send to the one of the remaining games so that all markets can join 60 Minutes together.
All three CBS games are moving at a decent pace, but the last two minutes of a game can move slowly due to time outs and commercials.

Denver-Oakland and Cincinnati-Pittsburgh are over but they didn't switch over to San Diego-Miami game for me.
-
Miami - San Diego is now over. We could actually see Amazing Race start on time at 8:15 p.m.
-
60 minutes has just started for me, at 7:14 and 42 seconds.
-
7:15 p.m. technically.
-
Damn
I wish it was just a little longer we typically get a better ratings boost from a 20min to 30 minute football overrun.
Oh well.
-
The CBS Eye-lert gives a 8:14 ET (7:14 CT) start time.
-
This afternoon's second games on CBS start at 405pm, not later. I expect that when the earlier finish of Jets/Saints and Bills/Dolphins finishes CBS will switch everyone ot the later finishing one. SO that means that we can still expect a finish timein the 715pm range even though one game should be done earlier.
-
My local CBS isn't even showing the early game .. ugh :P
I have a friend watching for TAR commercials though
-
This is not an issue for me. Getting the early game so TAR starts on time here in RI! :neener: :neener: :neener:

Just for that I'm not sharing my Filipino link :neener: . .commercial free but if anyone else wants it please message me, anyone but Ken that is ;)
-
You know I love you, darling. ;)
-
Games over might be a minute or 2 behind :neener: .. depending on commercials
-
60 MInutes isistarted at 703pm, putting Amazing Race15 start at 803pm
-
That delayed start is only in those markets that had a late game; many of us on the east coast will be on time. :neener:
-
Yeah but its only 3 minutes, I don't think its a big deal compared to say 15 minutes.
-
Because the delay was so minute, I didn't bother to post.
-
Why CBS gets the post-4pm games two weeks in a row is unknown, but they do. Oct. 11 will have 3 games in the 415pm (not 405pm like this past weekend) time slot:
New England vs. Denver
Houston vs. Arizona
Jacksonville vs. Seattle
-
It's the way the NFL tries to balance things out with the TV partners.
-
apskip, this past weekend wasn't a double-header weekend -- it was the fact that CBS choose to seC East rivalry game to much of the large urban centers in the eastern 2/3rds of the US. And as long as I can remember, the NFL has set home games for the Dolphins during the early part of the season in late afternoon. (I used to be a Dolphin season ticket owner before I left Miami and the stated reason was that the playing field and the stadium got too hot at 1 pm during September-early October.)
-
I think ap was talking about in Weeks 2 and 3 where CBS got the doubleheader. The NFL usually does that for CBS. Down the road, Fox will get two consecutive doubleheaders down the road. Then on Week 17, both CBS and Fox will get a doubleheader giving both networks 9 doubleheaders.
-
The NewEngland/Denver game is jsut tied at 5:21 left. That means sometime after 720pm and maybe much later if it goes to overtime for the start of 60 Minutes.
The Jacksonville/Seattle game is over and its viewers are now watchign NewEngland/Denver.
-
Houston/Arizona is tied at 21 - 21 with just over 2 minutes left. Another CBS overtime game?
-
If Pats-Denver gets resolved, audience will shift to Houston-Arizona.
-
If Pats-Denver gets resolved, audience will shift to Houston-Arizona.
I was thinking the other way might be more likely. Arizona up 7 with 40 seconds left.
-
On a TV that doesn't have the scores on the bottom.
-
The Houston-Arizona game is over. New England and Denver still tied with 22 seconds left.
-
The New England/Denver game is going to overtime, as there is 7 seconds left, tied 21-21.
-
Denver is driving and hopefully will beat America's Most Hated NFL team, the Patriots.
-
Denver/New England is over. Denver won in OT with a field goal. Amazing Race shouold start near 840pm.
-
Game over. Should start around 8:38 pm
-
Denver is driving and hopefully will beat America's Most Hated NFL team, the Patriots.
And I thought that was the cowboys.
-
Revised, 8:41 pm
-
CBS Eye-lert for tonight says:
Revised start times for tonight's CBS programs: 60 Minutes (7:42pm ET), Amazing Race (8:42pm ET), Three Rivers (9:42pm ET) and Cold Case (10:42pm ET) due to an NFL runover.
-
YET... Another double header this week (:;)
http://www.the506.com/nflmaps/2009/06-CBS-L.html
-
puddin,
I would not say that CBS has the double-header game, as FOX also has to games after 4pm. Tennessee @ New England and Buffalo @ NY Jets on CBS are unfortunately 415pm starts while the FOX late games start at 405pm.
-
So a late start for TAR again?
-
I think a little clarification is needed here. The fact that either FOX or CBS has a single game does not mean that all of their markets receive a game at 1 pm ET. (And this time of year, FOX or CBS may be carrying a live sports event in addition to a NFL game.
Thus, for those of us in the eastern and central time zones, we have to deal with late games more often than not since both FOX and CBS have figured out that the late game overruns help their ratings and often suppresses NBC's SNF ratings a bit. Since overruns seem to help TAR's ratings for some reason no one's been able to explain and this is the third year we've had that phenomenon, I don't complain too loudly.
On a related note, the CBS Eye-lerts link now goes to the sign up page again, so anyone who wants the Eye-lert directly to their e-mail can sign up for it. Note that you have to have (or create) a user account for the CBS-related websites in order to sign up.

Who cares about FOX?
-
CBS does have the doubleheader this week. Fox may have a game at 4, but it is only shown regionally. The 4:15 p.m. slot is a national game affecting the start times of CBS' primetime lineup in the Eastern and Central time zones. And there's no need to be combative, ap.
-
2nd half of the Bills/Jets just started, so expect a fairly long delay tonight.
-
Oh swell...
But thanks for the update!
-
whAT TIME YOU THINK
-
This should telll you something about when. The fourth quarter of the Jets/Bills game started at exactly 7 pm ET, with the score tied 13-13. So my guess is at least a 45 minute delay unless one team gets way ahead, and there's always the possibility of overtime.
(My CBS station was switched from the Patriots-Titans game after halftime, when the score was already 45-0 in the midst of a nor'easter with heavy snowfall.)
-
The Jets/Bills has moved along. With 3 minutes to go, it is 726pm. However, the game is still tied at 13-13 so overtime is a real possiblity.
-
Miss FG! Oh wait! It's the Bills. NM, sorry y'all!
Now, let's hope OT doesn't emulate that Cincy vs. Cleveland game 2 weeks ago!
-
The Bills kicker missed a 46 yard field goal. It's OT, with the Kickoff right now at 739pm
-
The Jets are going to try a 50 yard field goal, but the snap is bobbled and the bills intercept the desperation pass at their own 35 yard line.
Buffalo now has the ball and it looks more likely that this game could end in a tie well after 8pm.
-
Curse the Bill's for coming back, this game was in the bag :meow:
-
So we're not looking at a TAR start until around 9.30pm EST, are we?
-
Wow! CBS has just cut "Cold Case" from tonight's schedule. I can't remember the last time CBS dropped one of the Sunday shows because of an overrun.
Meanwhile, the interceptions are coming back and forth fast and furious.
-
For real! You'd think they would've axed Three Rivers. I guess it could be a good lead-in, and it's new (not struggling). I guess they'll replace a rerun of TR for CC. But hey! At least they didn't drop TAR!
Anyway, game just ended.
-
yep
-
With the one hour plus overrun, the CBS eye-lert advises that:
Revised start times for tonight's CBS programs: 60 Minutes (8:14pm ET), Amazing Race (9:14pm ET), Three Rivers (10:14pm ET) and (11:14pm ET) due to an NFL runover.
-
This system ate my 810pm prediction that 60 Minutes would start at 815pm. It did.
-
so at 9:15 the amazing race will start then three river and then cold case was cut then
-
It's 9:14, not 9:15. Otherwise you'll miss the previouslys.
-
Rather than do this piecemeal every week, here is the list of CBS after 4pm games for the rest of the season. Anyone is welcome to transfer this information into new threads started for any episode.
10/25 405pm Jets at Raiders, Bills at Panthers
11/1 405pm Jaguars at Titans, Raiders at Chargers
11/8 415pm Chargers at Giants, Titans vs. 49ers
11/15 405pm Chiefs vs Raiders (note - originally I somehow picked up the 11/22 teams here by mistake)
11/22 415pm Jets at Patriots, Chargers at Broncos, Bengals at Raiders
11/29 405pm Chiefs at Chargers, Jaguars at 49ers
12/6 405pm Chargers at Browns
12/13 415pm Chargers at Cowboys
12/20 405pm Bengals ar Chargers , Raiders at Broncos
12/27 415pm Jets at Colts
1/3 415pm Titans at Seattle, Ravens at Raiders, Chiefs at Broncos
-
Oh goody I get the NY Jets @ Oakland late game :res: , only 2 late games though the delay might not be too bad *wishful thinking*
http://www.the506.com/nflmaps/2009/07-CBS.html
-
The Jets/Raiders game, seen by more than half the country on CBS, finished the first half at 530pm and started the second half at 543pm. The prospects for a 7pm start for 60 Minutes are minimal.
-
The Buffalo/Carolina game had just under 9 minutes left in the 4th quarter at 6:39 pm, and at least a slight overrun is likely, even it it turns into a rout.
-
The Jets/Oakland game has ended .. I'm at commercial though.
-
60 minutes has started at 7:02 pm ET :yess:
-
60 minutes has started at 7:02 pm ET :yess:
I'm still two minutes ahead!!! :jumpy: :jam:
-
The other game just ended -- so I'm estimating we'll be starting at about 8 minutes after the hour.
-
CBS says TAR will start for some of us at 8:09 -- that's a lot better than 9"14 as it was ;ast week.
-
CBS says TAR will start for some of us at 8:09 -- that's a lot better than 9"14 as it was ;ast week.
But on my CBS which aired the Jets game, TAR is starting now  :colors
-
I did say "some of us."
-
I thought for sure CBS would have switched us to the Buffalo/Carolina but I'm not complaining.
-
They usually don't do that for singleheader games. When the football game ends, you get switched to primetime right away. Doubleheaders, yes.
-
According to the map, for once I do not get the late games :jumpy: :jumpy: ... I'm in the red!
http://www.the506.com/nflmaps/2009/08-CBS.html
-
Early game as well. We were switched from the late game (OAK/SD) to an early one yesterday.
-
Basically, it's just Jacksonville, Orlando, Nashville, Memphis, St. Louis, and Indianapolis who will bw getting the late game.
BIG reminder to doublecheck your clock settings on Sunday inasmuch as Daylight Savings Time ends on Saturday night/Sunday morning at 2:00 am. Many devices (made before 2007) do not have the new DST calendar in their coding, and may not recognize that the adjustment should have been automatically made.
(I have to manually adjust the settings for those weeks where there's a difference between the old DST and the new DST schedules.
-
Yeah, another singleheader day, regional coverage. I get an early game here in RI as well.
-
Wow, we all share the late games ..expect for the margin in Washington which doesn't matter since they are on the West Coast.
San Diego @ NY Giants
Tennessee @ San Francisco
http://www.the506.com/nflmaps/2009/09-CBS-L.html
-
The only market not getting the late game of the doubleheader is New Orleans, because of the NFL blackout rules.
I doubt CBS will give them a head start, but I'm not sure what the CBS practice is these days.
-
Today the only game on late for CBS is: 11/15 405pm Bengals vs Raiders
That is good news from 2 perspectives, having the 405pm game and having only one late game on CBS. That maximizes the chance that 60 Minutes will start at 7pm.
-
Oh please...I NEED a late start tonight!! That's my only chance....
:meme:

Bengals-Raiders? That's a shock to Cincinnati as they play the Steelers in the early game in Pittsburgh today.
I think you mean, Chiefs-Raiders, ap. And that is going to a minimum of markets today.
-

:meme:
YOU might get your wish peach! neener neener
-
Significant markets getting the single CBS late game (with the east coast primetime feed) are:
northern Georgia including Atlanta, Charlotte, most of the lower penisula of Michigan, including Detroit, southern and southwestern Florida including Miami, Palm Beach, Tampa-St.Pete, New Orleans, most of Missouri including St. Louis and Kansas City, northern Arkansas, all of Kansas, eastern North Dakota, almost all of Minnesota, a piece of northwestern Wisconsin, and a odd segment of western Iowa and extreme eastern Nebraska.
So Peaxh you should be able to make it home in time, unless the runover is really short, or you don;t make it home really fast. :hearts:
-
Hmmph. 60 Minutes is starting on time for me in Illinois. Am I going to be ahead of you guys? :neener:
-
Nope just a few Neobie, I didn't have the late game ......... for once!
-
The KC-Oakland game has a millennium to go. Massive runover for the game. Keeping an eye on it.
-
The KC-Oakland game has a millennium to go. Massive runover for the game. Keeping an eye on it.
Yeah, I have it on. It's going to be a pretty long delay tonight (still about 7 minutes left). I wish at least CBS would've had a better game to put on, as Oakland and KC are both terrible.
-
You could always switch to FOX, the Eagles are actually coming back :yess:
ETA: And BOOOOOO Jimmie Johnson! I now despise the Sprint cup!
-

I have Dallas/Green Bay on FOX. 17-0 Packers right now, been pretty boring for most of it.
-
About 2 minutes left for KC-Oak. Most likely will run past 7:20 and possibly, 7:25 p.m.
-
Do I hear 7:30?
-
Game finished at 7:31. I'll say an 8:35 p.m. start time for TAR for those who received KC-Oakland.
-
Is that me?? She asks pitifully?
-
It's you, Peach.
-
:groan:
-
No late game for me on CBS this Sunday, peach on the other hand might.
http://www.the506.com/nflmaps/2009/12-CBS.html
-
Early game! :jumpy: :jumpy:
-
Well the down fall is that I probably have one on finale night but all is good. Gosh its almost over :'(
-
I have the schedule for Week 13 (Dec. 6) (http://www.fangsbites.com/2009/11/attention-we-have-our-first-flex-of-nfl.html) on my blog. Yeah, you might have a late game at 4. But since you're in a secondary market, your CBS affiliate might have a game opposite the Iggles at 1. We'll see.
Fox has the doubleheader that week.
-
Thanks Ken I'll hope for the best because you just know some loudmouth will spoil the end.
My listings for the 6th
WYOU 2 Sun, Dec 6
5:00 PM Action Sports World Tour Live
-
Then as of now, you get the early CBS game and you can watch just like those at TARCon! :jumpy: :jumpy:

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
But you ALL will wait for me, right?? :luvu:
-
NBC has changed its Sunday night game for December 6th, which gives CBS another game to cover (New England and Miami) at 1:00 pm, so there may be some additional time changes before next weekend.
I can't tell for sure what's going on where I'm at. One late game is going to Charlotte, the other late game is going to Atlanta, and there's an early game for the market(s) around those. And I got a CBS advance Eye-lert this afternoon for Sunday, which tells me CBS isn't sure either.
-
The NFL changes are final for Week 13. The final schedule is at the link in my post above. There will be no more changes.
-
There are 2 CBS games showing to different parts of the country; both started at 405pm. In the New York metro area, southern california, the Midwest cetnered aroudn Kansas City and Atlanta, we have San Diego vs. Kansas City. From South Carolina to below Orlando and western North Carolina and an odd area in virginia, western Maryland, northeast West virginia and south central Pennsylvania there is Jacksonville at San Francisco. Most of the country has no 405pm CBS game. It looks like 60 Mintues could start on time tonight.
-
My game has ended here in the North East, it was actually an awesome game YO HO BUFFALO! :jam:
postgame show is on now and I'll probably get some crap sports thing @ 5
-
ME?? :crybabe:
-
We'll keep watch peach, it might not be a big delay at all. :hugs:
-
I'll be watching at 8 on the dot like usual :neener:

Too early to say for the 4:05 p.m. games, ap. Last week, the Fox 4:05 game was the last game to finish of all of the afternoon games.
-
The San diego/Kansas city game has 10 minutes ot play in the 3rd quarter and I belivee that the San Francisco/Jacksonville game is a little further along than that. They could both finish around 7pm.
-
Delays will be slight. San Diego/KC which is in the NY market is taking a while to end. Jax/SF is moving along rather quickly. There will be no switching. Although I believe Jax/SF was given to NYC earlier in the 2nd half. NYC should be seeing TAR around 8 or so.
-
ME TOO?? :jumpy:
-
The San Diego/ Kansas City game is over at 700pm. With allowance of 5 mintues, 60 Minutes should start around 705pm.

60 Minutes started at 704pm.

Your listings might not have picked up on the game yet :duno:
-
The current distribution map has the following markets that have the east coast feed with the one late game: Tampa, Atlanta, Charlotte, Baltimore, Washington, Philadelphia, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Detroit, Chicago, New Orleans. That still quite a bit of the eastern half of the country, so there will likely be some overrun effect.
At least they are being nice to TARcon this time around!
