SHOWTIME GIVES SOME BIG BROTHERLY LOVE
Showtime Greenlights a Second Installment of
Big Brother: After Dark, an exclusive live three hour feed of the first winter edition of the CBS hit reality series BIG BROTHER starting Tuesday, February 12th at 12:00 AM ET/PT on SHO2
LOS ANGELES, CA - (January 8, 2008) - CBS and Showtime will once again partner to bring viewers Big Brother: After Dark, an exclusive, live televised look inside the BIG BROTHER house after the network prime-time cameras have been turned off. Big Brother: After Dark will feature a live television feed from the "Big Brother" house for three hours (12:00-3:00 AM, ET/PT), seven days a week, on the cable network's SHO2 multiplex channel beginning Tuesday, February 12th at 12:00 AM ET/PT. The announcement was made today by Robert Greenblatt, President of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc.
"Big Brother: After Dark was a big success for us at bringing an audience to very late night time periods on SHO2. This began as an experiment with our friends at Endemol and CBS, and I'm happy that it worked so well for all of us," said Greenblatt. "I'm amazed at how much curiosity there is about what goes on in the Big Brother house after the lights are out, but what better place to present that than on SHOWTIME where we have a lot of on-air real estate in the wee hours of the morning."
The first winter edition of BIG BROTHER will premiere on CBS Tuesday, February 12th and air every Tuesday at 9:00 PM ET/PT, Wednesday at 8:00 PM ET/PT and Sunday at 8:00 PM ET/PT. The series follows the relationships and conflicts of players who live together in a house outfitted with dozens of cameras and microphones recording their every move 24 hours a day. One by one, the houseguests will vote each other out of the house. At the end of three months, the last remaining houseguest will receive the grand prize.

You mean six week rumor Michael :lol3: Just giving you a hard time ;)
Im excited for ya'll. I just knew they would be announcing it sooner or later. :yess:
-
LOL oops -- i was distracted I'm having laptop issues and im trying to sort them all out.
-
Haha!!! I just wanted to give you a hard time ;) Hope you get your laptop figured out!
-
Awesome news! I thought I also heard somewhere they'd be showing a live feed to the jury house too, but I guess that was just a rumor.

Don't get too excited! For instance this is what CBS puts out for Amazing Race, its generic. See we know this isn't true.
THE AMAZING RACE 12 sends 11 teams — each comprised of two people who have a pre-existing relationship with one another — on a trek around the world for approximately 30 days. At every destination, each couple will have to compete in a series of challenges — some mental and some physical — and only when the tasks have been completed will they learn their next destination. Couples who are farthest behind will gradually be eliminated as the contest progresses, with the first team to arrive at the final destination winning $1 million. Phil Keoghan is host.

:groan:
damn CBS and their generic messages.
I would really like to know where this six week rumor started anways. I read that Dick, who did spend new years with the casting producer and is apparently in contact with the producers of the show, said that the 6 week rumor wasn't true.
And thanks for the laptop wishes mama, i fixed the problem!
-
Yea Dick did say that but he also said that just because I won Big Brother does not mean they tell me everything. Big Brother and CBS has the right to change the show at any time.
I'm with you Puddin I'll wait until we get better confirmation before I pee my pants :lol3:

Maybe the answer is to become an Updater! Then just skip the whole go to bed part and Update all night instead and you'll fit right in!

:-* I hear ya
but family first and your health
beside you don't want to become crabby like the rest of us who lost sleep over it.
-
I always just cleaned when we had the waves or in the mornings (and during naptime for the boys, just so when the woke up they could mess it up again  ). I'll be up with a newborn with season 10, but im just as excited to stay up for season 9. Im a night owl anyways!!! And we've been talking about taking the older boys to my sisters preschool just to let them play with other kids, go on field trips and what not. It'd be free since my sister works there and I think they'd have a blast!!!

I am THRILLED to hear this news, Will!

Awww peach if only.... sigh... but I'll sneak in what I can beyond the regular shows that my son and daughter watch...
-
blsnbelles, if there was a way for you to get showtime you would be limited to only 3 hours at night :lol3: Ok I won't encourage it
-
for me watching big brother meant giving up sleep, food, and hanging out with friends on many days LMAO
it was so bad -- i vow not to let it happen again.
-
LOL! Should buy you the feeds just for that Michael. Oh thats right I don't want you to be skinny. :lol3: Do your friends think your crazy?
-
I actually hid my addiction from my friends pretty well until one day they pointed out that they'd see me lurking on facebook at like 6 AM when they were passing by their comptuer to go to the washroom -- and I had horribly long hair so I look like I let myself go and I was really pale LMAO
it's so sad -- this time will be different though.
-
No it won't :neener:
-
oh yes it will! :groan:
-
Yeah right! Different if I don't get the feeds, right??
-
:'( :'( :'(
-
There, there.....
I'm the one that ought to be sobbing!
-
:lol3:

Peach just wanted to see you cry

For me it comes on at 9:00 but I'm in bed by 10:30 and family time is in the evening and i'm the only one that likes After Dark :( so I'm kinda out voted....

I know it's harder to get rid of them when their bigger and they know you can't get off the computer :lol3:
-
Now that CBS has made the announcement today about After Dark, I would think it would be too long before they put up the Big Brother 9 page on their website. They still have BB8 up but should be updated soon considering they put up Survivor: Micronesia last week and they start 5 days before BB9. But I know they will not reveal the houseguests until they get in sequester prior to entering the house around Feb 7th, in order to get footage for the first show on the 12th. Hard to believe it's only a month away!
-
They better get to updating :wohoo:

I check the CBS website daily to look for updates.

Don't they know they have some impatient fans (:;)
