in the new preview it mentioned that "everybody had a secret" -- could that be the twist?

But doesn't everyone technically always have a secret? And then just look at past seasons, depending on what this is (don't want anyone to jump down my throat for assuming) it could be similar to things that happened in the past.
Also isn't this what Dick helped them with? I think there was an interview where he was helping with a twist. If this is it then well I don't know what to say.

Well, we already know the producers already promised no more America's Player twist...that was an one time thing....thank god!

Thanks guys, I also ended up in the ER last night with them thinking I had appendicitis (sp). UH! Things are ok now though, tests came back fine.

I had to laugh at the streak thing because my sister has all girls and her husband said that he had a streak going when the last one was born.

My leave ended last Friday and am on vacation now for the rest of the year to use them up. I go back to work on 1/2. I dread it. I was spoiled being off since August 24th! And I've gained 17 pounds! I'll lose it once I get back to work as I work in the warehouse and it's pretty physical so no worries! :cmas50

Mama, this may shock you but I think I would rather be at home fighting with screaming brats all day than working in a warehouse! As long there is a big TV on somewhere in the house, I can handle the kiddies! I could watch soap operas, reality tv shows and whatever all day long!

Ok I admit I wouldn't last in a warehouse - in the summer that is (no a/c, no thanks). But you would have to trade in those soap operas for cartoons. LOL!
Dumb question but they do have a one time payment for the live feeds right? Last year was my first year so I think I wanted to do the trial thing or whatever.

I don't get live feeds because I'm deaf so I wouldn't know a damn word they say is why I rely on Showtime After Dark because it's closed captioned and hence is why I rely on here for the live feed updates! But I think it's a monthly fee for the feeds but you better ask an expert like Puddin or any other regular updaters and they would know.

In my book there are no DUMB QUESTIONS Mama. You can get the feeds monthly, or three months at a time or six months at a time. I get the six months, because I like to watch the movies, and you also get ten dollars in free music and a game to download every month from real player. There is a lot of extras on realplayer. I think I pay about 45.00 every six months.
Hope this helps. Watch out for all of that mountain dew with that baby! It will be doing flip flops while you are trying to type! :cmaslol

ARKANSAS -- Word is Tony Westbrook of Benton will be among the housemates of the next season of CBS's reality show, Big Brother.
The new season - the show's first winter one - is to begin Tuesday, Feb. 12.
Westbrook will be one of 14 people who move into the house (on a Hollywood film stage) and attempt to avoid eviction for the next 80 days.
The goal? To make it to the final two, where the winner receives $500,000 and the runner up lands $50,000.
Back home in Arkansas, Westbrook, who is 33 and a Harmony Grove high school graduate (class of '92) works as a paraprofessional at Birchtree Community assisted-living facility.
Look for the prime-time show to air Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

This is a lie. This man does nothing but lie.
A couple of years ago he sent his own obituatary to Ballard Funeral Home in Benton, Arkansas. He has been in prison.
He is such a looser that he gets his kicks off stuff like this. He pretended to be a reporter and went to Harmony Grove High School and talked to children, took photos and other stuff. He has since been banned from the Harmony Grove Campus.

BB always waits till the last minute to tell the people that made it and when they find out they are not allowed to tell. I think if they do they breach the contract they sign. So announcements this early would definetly be a hoax!

I hope the winter wonderland rumor is true. It would be such an improvement over the Alice in Wonderland theme last season, which I wasn't a fan of.

It's Tuesday. Three weeks until the winter season premiere.
I'm already trying to stay up until at least three o'clock so I'm not behind with feed reading. (No chance in hell when it comes to me actually getting the feeds.) At least it gets semi-warm in my bedroom after the sun sets, so when I'm staying in my abode, I know I'm not going to be in there a la a popsicle. :P

Another myspace bulletin I came across...an interesting read!
We are fortunate enough to have two seasons of Big Brother this year, Big Brother 9 starting in February and BB10 starting in July. There is so many rumors running around the internets about bb9 this winter its hard to get things straight. The most predominate BB9 twist thus far has sprung from the BB9's commercials theme song "Dirty Little Secret" by All American Rejects, it is rumored that every house guest on BB9 will have a dirty little secret.
This reminds me of the hit French reality television program called Secret Story The principle of the show from its wikipedia article is as follows:
The contestants are kept locked away for 10 weeks in a house, called "La Maison des Secrets" (the House of Secrets) measuring 1600m² styled on the UK Big Brother 8 house including a swimming pool, jacuzzi, a lounge (where the bath is), bathroom with showers, and separate bathrooms for each sex. All of the rooms are installed with cameras, (except the toilet due to a law imposed by the Conseil Supérieur de l'audiovisuel. The Voice speaks to the contestants at times, and acts like "Big Brother" in other countries. Each contestant has to conceal a secret. Everyone else has to try and discover it. If a contestant does, that contestant wins the jackpot of the contestant whose secret they have guessed. Each secret is worth €10,000. If they have anything like this, I would assume that they wouldn't be redoing the twin secret from a few seasons back. Or at least I would more or less hope they wouldn't be repeating a plot twist. If they ever repeat a plot, I will have to do something about it.

Now I don't know if Erin is starting up some rabid bull**** over in Big Brother speculation world but it seems someone left a message on Dustin's Myspace announcing how they can't wait to see Dustin's brother on the next season... SAY WHAT?!?!

Does this mean one of the twist's this year is that one of the houseguests is RELATED to a former Big Brother contestant?!?!?! Now that's ONE MEGA DIRTY LITTLE SECRET!!!
We'll find out on February 6th when the cast is announced on CBS' The Early Show.
If this year's twist does indeed turn out to be RELATED TO FORMER HOUSEGUESTS then it would make perfect sense. Think about it, they have a short amount of time to cast a full house of 14 houseguests. Why not go back to the other twists were people who were related to other former houseguests didn't make it into the past seasons yet were suddenly up for consideration again this new season.
This new twist would also give the casting agents less house to fill up since probably 40 to 50 percent of the house has already been through the casting process. The other 50% of the house is probably actual new people with no connection to former houseguests.
Imagine the state of paranoia that will go on in the house. NO ONE WILL TRUST NO ONE! Who's dumb enough to believe they are the ONLY twist in the house being the ONLY person selected that knows someone from a previous season. Well last year there was only one America's Player but that was different.
Mind blowing twist but an easy one to come up with for a Winter edition of the house.
Of course all this could turn out to be rancid bull**** started up by Erin.. and me.

So the twist is the pairing solemates? If pairs of 2 make it to the end could they share the $500,000? can anyone say the BB Amazing Race? Although details are sketchy, what do you think of this twist?

I think it'd be cool actually -- it could result in a lot of drama (i.e one girl liking a man that is part of another "team"...etc)
But with the rumored finale date of may 6th I would say that the chances are this "twist" will only last until about 3-4 evictions and then it will be individual again.

All I can picture since the whole "soulmates" thing came out was that Big Brother was trying to play match maker.

Something doesn't add up. It has been said the finale is May 6th. This means that there will be one evicted each week. But with the twist, there will be two evicted every week, apparently. So since we have 7 pairs, this means 5 or 6 evictions.
I hope this isn't a last minute twist, since rumors of the Writer's Strike is wrapping up this month, and they want to clear BB9 from the schedule in order to make room for the returning shows. That logic would make sense. Since the WGA is almost done striking, this means we'd get new episodes of our favorite dramas/sit-coms around April, and with BB evicting two at a time, this season could end as early as late March.

The press release says 90 days, I'm confiused lol. Maybe just maybe a pair can be evicted if they are not saved with the Veto? Like if one wins it they are safe then someone is nom'ed in their place then the "pair" is no longer in danger and the other HG's decide the fate of who's evicted of the 2 Nom'ed? Just thinking out loud.

Interesting find about 14 vs 16... also I do not mean to sound ugly because I know love does not know age.... BUT if there are matches for everyone who is the match to the 45 yr since all the others are in their 20s and most early 20s. plus with her having a 16 yr old that may worry some 20 something peopee

yeah -- the biggest loser did something similar
they were "teams" this year and had to do everything together, but after a couple of weeks it turned into an individual comp.

First prize is always 500,000 and second 50,000. I don't see where they say 3rd and 4th prize because I don't think there is a 3rd or 4th prize, just the normal final 2.
