Puddin tooooo funny I broke the news to my family yesterday that BB9 might happen and they said they would hide the computer from me :lol3: my daughter was ok with it but only ok with it. :res:

Oh... I've got hockey season! I really don't want to leave the comfort of the HCC (Hartford Civic Center) just so I can sit and watch the feeds. But if this means that we'll get some action in the house, I guess I shall suck it up and enjoy it.
Does anyone want to share the feeds? If you're more of a day person, I can work on the night stuff!

I actually lived off of starbursts, skittles, and sour keys LOL - I would buy like three packs every morning (i say morning, I really mean 4 PM after sleeping at around 10 AM)

Julie did not sound too happy about this on the Early Show LOL I have not yet recovered either. I am not going to tell my family until the day it starts, if it does!

Ok here we go my 2 cents yet again... I am fond of celeb shows but in a show like BB i'm not sure it will work, will we get the same thing like VH1's Surreal Life? Where the actors are always "on" for the camera and the theatrics are over the top? And then they might think they are too good for slop, threatning to leave because things aren't going their way, wanting to contact their agents, managers or publicists, etc. I don't know it could be better than that, but does anybody remember "I'm a celebrity get me outa here" Liked the show and watched it but they did have that holier than thou attitude! I guess we'll see ???

If it continues....
Survivor 16 will start in January instead of February
American Idol starts it's seventh season on January 15th
Big Brother 9 could start as soon as February...casting is underway
More prime time game shows will be added
More new reality shows will be added

My hubby was making fun of me because when he heard about the writers strike he heard them say that it would be a good thing for reality tv shows. Ummm I only watch 2 (Big Brother and Amazing Race). Hes such a nut!

This is from ew.com and it sounds as though if the strike continues BB9 will be much sooner than we all expected.
Big Brother fans, prepare to celebrate the Writers Guild strike. A reliable source says CBS is quietly ramping up production on a ninth cycle of the reality show to begin airing in late January or early February if the strike persists well into the holidays. It's easy for CBS to fire up production on BB because it owns the house (which is located on the network's Studio City, CA lot) and it casts for the show year-round. We hear executive producer Allison Grodner is already hiring production staff and, of course, Julie "Chenbot" Chen would return as host. A CBS spokesperson declined comment.
Like seasons past, the network would probably air the show thrice-weekly, although there's always the possibility of adding more nights since action occurs around-the-clock in the BB house. Last summer, fans demonstrated their desire to watch even more of the house happenings by tuning into to Big Brother: After Dark on Showtime. It's unclear whether the nightly feeds will resume with this new cycle, though it seems likely. If the midseason BB does go forward, it is unlikely to affect the regular summer run of the show.

Also it is confirmed that it will NOT be a celebrity edition. It will be normal people and for once I hope there is NO twist! Let them all play the game fair and square!
I guess we all have to brace ourselves for another two and half months of very little sleep considering we all probably have just fully recovered from BB8 and now we have to deal with BB twice in 2008!

I know...everyone says Dick made show, and in the sense of his dirty mouth going like crazy, and if that's what's needed to make the show...then he did. Just too bad it takes using the F word continually, and other filthy language to "make a show"!! I'm sorry, I'm not trying to make all you Dick lovers mad...but it just seems the producers could've put someone in the house instead of Dick who was just as powerful and mouthy...but using some discretion with their language.
Points can be made perfectly clear using decent language. Or maybe I'm just old fashioned!?
As for all you Dick lovers...each to his own...I still love you all. :luvya:

To the producers it's all about the ratings. And the rating's followed Dick!!

Well bmeiners, I didn't like Jen much for the first few weeks...but kind of grew to like her more b/c she learned how to communicate with Dick by calling his bluff!
You're right about the ratings. But I still think had they picked a person who controlled their language, yet had a really powerful personality...bull-headed, conniving, WoW handsome, showoffy, conceited, loudmouth...they could still get the ratings! Cheez, aren't there any peeps out there who can wow the audience without the vulgar language and inhumane action? Am I just too naive or something?? ??? :groan:
